SSH-with lowfloaters going wild (APOP, BVXV yest to name two), gotta respect the possibilities of SSH after doing a 1/30 rs today. Down to 800k o/s and 600k float. Will be a fast mover both ways
nice interview mike! good to finally put a voice to an ihub name.
i'm intrigued with STKR as an underfollowed micro. their fwd guidance mentions the completion of a couple contracts that need to be replaced to continue growth, but several of their products are in hot industries such as 3D scanning and AR/VR. pretty good r/r at .08/sh
and on a r/r basis, i find PIOI to be very interesting. ash111 has done a nice job assembling the investment points in a sticky on the PIOI board
keep up the great work! would love to hear what some of your fave ideas are
hmm, maybe they could merge with some profitable private chinese battery manufacturer. what a fun catalyst that would be
ok, well, 30K is the size du jour i guess
MAXM shows up on the bid and the pesky .24 ask falls. .245x.25 now; bout time for the 50k seller to show up hehe
MCIG/OMHE - MCIG owns a bunch of OMHE, and OMHE chart looking pretty explosive
of course i've read your excellent DD ash. i been in since the asset sale was first PR'd
50k shares is $10k, but agree that it doesn't take much to halt progress.
curious who the 50k seller is that halts the ascent from time to time.
WGBS - with ETRM/SGNL/GNVC/NSPR all having their go at the lowfloat carousel, i wonder if traders will find WGBS. Also a recent reverse split, and with a breakout chart
Sheff bought 50k shares at .205 avg

# of shareholders isn't as relevant as what the cost basis is for those shareholders. as ash has posted many times, insiders bought shares much higher. so they're bagholders. and if u look at the chart, just about anybody that bought shares prior to October is underwater.
biotechs that i hold at the moment...comments welcomed:
PRTK
LPCN
GLMD
KTOV
CNAT
APHB
TRIL
best wishes in 2017!
Hopefully we'll be thanking these heavy sellers once the story moves on to the next chapter. In the meantime, it's definitely curious who would want to sell down here, though there have to be a ton of bagholders created throughout the years.
PIOI successful trader/investor Sheff has taken a liking to PIOI. Here's his post:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=127654912
They should be real close to making their accretive acquisition in order to take advantage of their huge NOLs. I like the r/r from these levels. PIOI was the old ACPW, but all debt and old product line was bought from them, leaving a clean shell with some cash, patents, and tons of NOLs.
sheff PIOI is one of my favorite risk/return ideas from this level. Mkt cap so low, yet NOLs so high. They are patiently working on their accretive acquisition. They need to get some creative financing in concert w/ the acq, but regardless it should be a nice catalyst. A wildcard is the patent portfolio, which i assign $0 value to until they monetize them, but that could be a nice catalyst at some point as well.
One other non-biotech OTC that I'd mention in terms of favorable r/r is STKR. They are profitable, .08, and are in a hot niche sector (3D scanning lasers). Some of their products are applicable to the AR/VR food chain.
Sheff is a serious endorsement. Successful biotech trader/investor. Good job getting the word out ash
ash thanks for the revised summary

That was awhile ago though. It's a new beast now
was thinking that how huge a positive it would be if there were even modest insider purchases to show faith in their future approach. perhaps u could ask the CEO about this the next time u communicate
something to keep in mind, from paideia's SA link:
"The key to success in repurposing tax attribute rich companies appears to be finding an attractively priced, steady taxable income generating target, which is not easy to find at current valuations within capital markets. Indeed, some NOL rich entities sit for years without finding the desired candidate and unlocking the value of their tax assets. Simply put, investing in and unlocking value through NOL vehicles is a difficult, long-term process requiring patience."
don't see CDEL camping on the offer any more, so maybe she's ready to push
avg'd up more in the .21s
i hadn't considered the possibility of residual tax-loss selling. we might not get our move until the new year, or thereabouts
2 very good questions...my take on them
Patent valuation process and potential auction
If you're interested in how a patent valuation and auction could proceed, look at how CRDS has done it.
Start here:
Crossroads Systems Begins Marketing Non-'972 Patents to Potential Buyers
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/crossroads-systems-begins-marketing-non-120000488.html
CRDS hired Aqua to find buyers, as described here:
http://aqualicensing.com/ipportfolio/network-storage-technologies-portfolio
As of today, CRDS is in the end stages of potentially selling the patents to the highest bidder. We'll know more on 12/13, which is when their cc is scheduled. The CRDS mkt cap is so low, that any sales price that is material will have a magnified impact on CRDS stock.
A similar situation could arise with ACPW, though it'll be pretty cloudy til we see the results from their eval service.

MYDX iOS PR: a rapidly growing science and technology company that has developed MyDx , a multi-use handheld chemical analyzer and application, today announced that fueled by last weeks historic passage of state ballot initiatives in eight new states passing cannabis laws, the Companys MyDx One smart-phone app for its Analyzer has catapulted to the top of the iOS App Store charts. As a direct result, the Company has already experienced an immediate increase in revenues.
“Our ability to achieve the number one ranking in the Apple Store’s medical category is a clear reflection of the industry’s increasing acceptance of our platform and its unique ability to help consumers identify a strain that meets their needs,” said Daniel Yazbeck, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MyDx. As a result, we are continuing to grow one of the industry’s largest crowdsourced databases with invaluable information that could have only been gathered through the grass roots effort implemented by the CannaDx team since its launch close to one year ago.”

MYDX - i'm long, but it's being converted to death...and no end in sight despite what the CEO says in his PR.
ADVT Fascinating pot PR, mostly missed so far:
NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 7, 2016) - ADVANTIS CORPORATION ( OTC PINK : ADVT ) announced that it has signed an agreement to distribute branded Amstercans to Speedweed, California's largest Medical Marijuana Delivery Service. Advantis partnered with Southern California medical marijuana cooperative, Natural Elements Inc., to package and distribute the final product.
"This is the game changer," Advantis CEO, Christopher Swartz, said, "Speedweed has over 30,000 cooperative members all over the state. They are California's most highly rated delivery service and are known for their diverse offerings of the finest quality marijuana." Headquartered in Los Angeles, Speedweed relies on its master agricultural specialist and a mass network of cooperative members to procure a large variety of cannabis contrivance such as drinks, edibles, candies, vapors, oils, sprays, pills, and other THC and CBD derived options. The company effectively employs innovative branding and marketing strategies that enhances the member experience. Speedweed is a family run cooperative that delivers to every county in California, where law permits Medical Marijuana delivery.
The CEO of Speedweed, AJ Gentile, sees Amstercan as part of the future of the marijuana industry. "There is tremendous demand for prepackaged products," Gentile explained, "Amstercan style packaging that keeps the product fresh has just not existed until now." Gentile reflected on the different product types that can be contained within the Amstercan, and the branding opportunity it presents. "Packaging is important to our members because it represents a trusted, solid quality product. We can maintain our inventory quality without concern about perishables, provide a variety of products that will become recognizable brand names, and ultimately instill the trust that our members deserve to have in their medicine." Gentile concluded by saying, "The Advantis team is a strong group with a sincere heart; I appreciate their intense focus on innovative technology and I clearly see they care about the future of this industry."
Advantis CEO, Christopher Swartz, has been at the forefront of alternative and innovative pain management solutions throughout his career. Swartz commented that the distribution agreement with Speedweed represents an alignment of philosophical direction within the industry, saying, "I am so excited to have begun this relationship (with Speedweed) because we see the need of the market and the future of the industry in the same way. We care about people and their access to reliable medicine, and we understand that it will become an industry like any other in America... so we have to start treating it that way with effective operational controls and appealing branding/marketing strategies." Swartz expanded on the operational benefit of having a way to preserve marijuana long periods of time. "This technology will not only benefit cooperative and recreational users, but will save millions of dollars in product previously lost to time and decay."
Swartz concluded with some praise of the Speedweed CEO, "I have known AJ as an industry expert for some time; I've seen him on CNBC, HBO, Bloomberg... I am beyond excited to be partnering with such an innovative thinker, and humbled by the knowledge and experience his family brings to the table. Our relationship with Speedweed and Natural Elements will continue to expand, and together we will sell millions of Amstercans, and pioneer the future of the industry in the process." Swartz ended with impressive projections of Amstercan sales within a medical marijuana cooperative that is 30,000 members strong, stating, "Even with just half the members consuming two cans a week for 52 weeks... you do the math... and add in that Speedweed partners with several other dispensaries across the state."
VMNT new pot name in CA. 4M float, well positioned.

"We're planning to build our brand aggressively and create a steady revenue stream going forward with a strong belief that Prop 64 will pass through a majority vote in the coming days for California to become a recreational State, giving us access to a marketplace with the publicity and support that we believe could surpass Colorado," further stated Mr. Tan Tran.
KTOV - started a position trade (3.30's) in this biotech today. It's an interesting story, since it's primary drug (NDA due in a few months) is a compound drug, and hence would save money -- a nice benefit for any administration looking to reduce the cost of pharma. Would like to add more shares closer to 3 (say, if Hillary wins).
ADMT - hi guys...cruised by VMC and it was a ghosttown, so the friendly sherriff (hweb) pointed me this way.
came across and ADMT PR late yest, and liked what i saw. would appreciate y'all thoughts:

i've been focused almost entirely on pot stocks the past few weeks. talk about massive movers. but few have revenue let alone earnings. that could change though, if and when the CA bill passes.
yeah, and it was all due to the Orlando incident. too bad it gave back almost the entire move...created a new set of bagholders
