My guess is that the Baker Bros are behind the merger and worked out the deal. If they are ok with it, I am as well
No, keep talking. I am listening, just not much to add. It is interesting to me to see how another person trades and the reasoning behind it. Personally, I am hanging tight to my shares and am planning on adding if/when the reverse split goes through, regardless of the price. I am really liking the way this is trading.
LOL...You never answered the question.
AXON getting punished pre-market. Another dementia drug bites the dust....
The big question is if you would not go long or short here, why would you waste your time posting?
Some sort of glitch. Every stock I enter in the search box gets the "delisted" label.
Too funny!
Should be out today after the close. Dissemination date for short interest as of 12/15 published 12/27 after 4pm per nasdaq site...
Anybody know for sure the last day to sell for tax loss harvesting? I have been trying to find a date online and have read articles stating everywhere from Dec 24 to the 27th to the last day of the year. Thanks in advance...
Trying to make myself feel better, not worse....
So out of curiosity, and with the premise that "misery loves company" in mind, I ran a stock screener. Using criteria of small cap biotechnology companies who are down more than 50% in the last year (ADXS down about 62%) the screener turns up 71 other companies, some down a lot more than 62%. So we are not alone. Hopefully next year I can run a screener and ADXS will show up on the companies with gains over 100%.
Market cap only $34 million. Going up.....
I agree with you. The market cap of ADXS now about $123 million. Absurdly undervalued. I believe 2018 will be very kind to us...
It is kind of interesting right now, in a train wreck sort of way...
I appreciate your response, as I am always trying to learn more about trading. I, too, have been trading around a core here with fair success, but lack both the technical knowledge and discipline you possess. As a result, some trades work out better than others. Still learning, and as I said, thanks for the detailed reply...
Curious as to what kind of buy signal or price target you might be looking for to re-enter? You were smart to sell when you did.
Yes. I added more the other day and I have to tell you I think this stock might be giving me an ulcer...
TPIV market cap only $30 million. So much room to run....
Nice buy. I told myself I was done as well and added Wednesday afternoon. I feel pretty good about it.
Short interest on Nov 15 reported on Nov 27...
Ha, count me in. I'll bring the prozac...
Maybe you'll get lucky again. I hope so, for your sake and mine.
I have a sneaking suspicion that there are more than three of us...
Yeah, if I could not laugh at myself I would be crying. At one point I could have sold and bought a Ferrari; now I am eating bologna sandwiches for lunch. Call me the eternal optimist, but I still have great hopes for this company.
Well, that is a pretty good story. Here is what happened to me. When I was first told about this stock I bought it. It went through a reverse split and proceeded to skyrocket, all the way up to around $30. I had six figure gains! I was an investing genius! I sold a few shares here and there, but did not want to sell too much. After all, quite a few people were saying it was going to $50. So I held. Nobody was going to get my shares. Not at $20, then not at $10, then not at $5, now not at $3. We are back to where I started from, and I continued to add on the way down, and I am a bit ( a lot) underwater. No longer an investing genius, I now consider myself an investing idiot. And that is my story. And you are not getting my shares at $2...
Thanks for taking the time to do that...
Can't hurt I guess. I am quite sure Advaxis is getting a lot of heat from investors concerning the share price. LHA focused on increasing awareness, analyst coverage, retail following, and institutional investment for client. Hope that it works. On the flip side, hiring new IR firm lessens probability of buyout in near future.
I agree with you. Despite the negative spin lately, I really do,not think there is much risk. Management is mediocre but this seems really hard to mess up (of course, they did actually recently run out of pills to sell, so who knows). I think management is on a short leash and if they cannot increase sales shortly, the company will be sold. I originally bought into this stock at 14 cents and have traded around a core ever since. There have been a lot of twists and turns but I have been selling some other stocks for money to buy more Kerx in the last few days. One thing I never would have predicted is that share price would be this low after approval. Crazy...
You make it sound so simple. Much more fun to have a good conspiracy theory...
I think that is good news as well. Over 5 million short shares covered in the two weeks prior.
Yeah, tough results I just did not see coming. Bad news for my account but worse news for those with Parkinson's....
Results coming in soon. Very interested to see how this plays out. Hoping for the best, not only because of my account balance but for those suffering from Parkinson's. Good luck to you...
Yeah, I remember the good old days when getting a drug approved caused a jump in the share price instead of a 15% haircut. I added premarket and have been lightening up on a few other positions to add more today. Crazy....
I received two copies (one for each account I hold TPIV in) of this letter as well. I thought it was a nice touch to reach out and thank shareholders, and that Mr. Hoang sounded enthusiastic. I particularly appreciated "We must better communicate our value proposition to the capital markets to ensure that Tapimmune is appropriately valued in the marketplace". Also, "We must drive ourselves to become a more efficient organization in the prosecution of our clinical trials so that we achieve every milestone that we set for ourselves." I hope that they can do both...
When the slides were posted, I took my time and read through
I would not mind an Anavex smoking jacket. Sit by the fire and count my money after approval....
Thanks for posting. There is a lot of hope for those afflicted with Parkinson's. I am invested in another Australian company who has had success implanting neonatal pig cells into the brain. Process not only halts but actually reverses the disease. Very exciting. I am heavily invested in Anavex, but believe there is room for multiple treatments.
You summed it up nicely. I have been mostly wrong about this as well. I had been looking to add, and this would most likely be a good time to do that, but I think I will just hold what I have for a while. The science appears promising, and I have no problem with a company doing an offering as they must have money to operate, but the offering price is horrible. The email you received did make me feel a little better about things.
Thank you for posting. It is days like this that make me want to never invest in another biotech again...
Is that his house in the background?
