Nice! All I want for xmas is all the shares I bought between .12 and .16 to magically turn into .08's. LOL
GLTA
Many thanks OD. If possible, could you play Dan Fogelberg's "The Last Nail". It's got a dark, funeral feel and follow it up with "Illinois"???
Thanks bro!

I knew you good folks would already be showing ol' Dan some love here. Haven't visited this great site in awhile - think I will stick around awhile. Thanks!!!
I knew he was battling prostate cancer, but didn't know how serious it was.
Had a friend in LA years ago that not only looked like Dan F. but could play and sing pretty close to his idol. We spent many an evening playing some of his songs like "Illinois" (my friend also grew up in Illinois -me Indiana), "As the Raven Flies", "Better Change", "Someone's Been Telling you Stories" "The last Nail" and so many others.
For some reason, the songs that he was most famous for "Longer (than)", "Leader of the Band" "Run For The Roses" and "Same Old Lang Syne" we never learned - they were "too commercial" I guess for us! LOL
As you know, like Joni Mitchell, he was also a decent painter. Several of his album covers were his work.

Dan -R.I.P. you will be missed by many!
Damn...now I am really bummed. I knew he was battling prostate cancer, but just heard that one of my favorite ol' folk rockers, Dan Fogelberg just passed away from the cancer.

My wife and I were just talking about that - Katie=bad plastic surgery and as for Rooney - please just wear a mask or get your teeth capped!
I enjoyed Rooney's rant on if I was REALLY wealthy. Katie - how much more money do you need? Go home and take care of your kids already!! LOL
LOL - can't wait....I think!???
LOL - maybe I will hold off awhile on my new flatscreen!
If ol' Keith looks bad - I don't wanna know how Billo looks on HDTV!
LOL - you kill me! : )
Have you been watching the recent hearings on what the FCC is up to again? Young Chairman Kevin Martin is a little different. IMO he looks like an evil little boy that just pulled the legs off a spider and while being chastised is thinking, "Just wait - you'll be sorry!"
Here's just one article. This whole thing has me especially steamed after watching Bill Moyer's journal and seeing Rupert Murdochs face after acquiring the Wall Street Journal.
If any of us are worried we are not getting the whole picture as far as news - it's only getting worse.
Thank goodness we have Spring on this board!!!
Have a good one everyone!
I agree - it's an excellent show that does ask tough questions.
fwiw - my other favorite shows include
Bill Moyers Journal
Keith Olberman
BBC America
and for laughs that also make me think
Bill Maher
and the Bill O'Reilly comedy hour
I usually go to bed with my head throbbing from all that knowledge though! : 0
I watched some kind of town meeting yesterday where Romney was asked what was his plan of action for ending the war.
He basically said, we must stay there until we win, or until Gen Petraus (sp?) says its OK to come home.
Sorry, but that's not the answer I was looking for..... NEXT!
GLTY
I'm a little rusty on my scripture, but "get away from me you workers of lawlessness - I never knew you" comes to mind.
IMO he tries to out Martin, Martin Luther King. gag me tambien!
SCYA bagholder here, so I definitely am watching ANY activity with interest. Let's see some more volume before we get too excited. More vol = more posting? : )
GLTY
Who me??? LOL
SCYA - about $500 worth? Add another zero and it might get exciting. Nice to see it trading a bit - and yes, I have been holding the bag for awhile on this one too!
GLTY
see you guys when I can come up for air
hmmmmmmm....not going to go there! LOL
Take care Jeff! : )
At least that's something new! GLTA and let's see some follow through here!
I wonder if when the show resumes they will make up for all the missed shows??? Probably not, but I hope so!
Agreed. His seniority and experience should be welcomed by our next Dem prez - whoever he OR SHE might be! LOL
I am sooooo outta the loop. Didn't realize Keyes had a gay daughter.
Here is a great article on the situation, and tells of how she was thrown out of her parents house, AND cut off financially as well.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A20005-2005Feb12.html
I guess ol' Alan did not want to be branded a hypocrite:
Keyes told a radio interviewer that Mary Cheney was a "selfish hedonist."
Again, what an assssssss!
I think you are right! Remember this?
Back when Obama was running in Illinois against Keyes, Keyes said<
"Christ would not vote for Barack Obama because Barack Obama has voted to behave in a way that it is inconceivable for Christ to have behaved," Keyes said.
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Alan Keyes declared Tuesday that Jesus, if he were able to vote in Illinois this year, would oppose Democrat Barack Obama because of votes Obama has cast in the state Senate against anti-abortion legislation.

What a marrrroooooonnnnn! Obama beat Keyes handily.
Wow - I missed that little news gem. How f'n tacky indeed!
16th century lithograph of Vatican Square vs a stick that looks like it was fingered painted by a grade schooler. LOL!
As much as I can't stand Pope Benedict "gay marriage hurts world peace" the XVI - I almost feel like sending him a tee shirt that says:
"I traveled all the way to the White House and all I got was this stupid stick"
BTW - just watched part of the Republican debate on CNN. How did Alan Keyes get through the door? What a douchebag. I threw up in my mouth a little every time he opened his. ; )
Whether or not Jesus and Satan are brothers?
Well duh!? Didn't they have the same Dad?
Seriously, if you had told me when I graduated from a very liberal high school in LA that the tipping point in the 2008 election would be so closely tied to religious belief systems - I would have laughed my ass off and told you, you're crazy!
Good points IMO. Obama may stumble from time to time, but at least it would not be as embarrassing to watch as Bush. Bush supposedly surrounded himself with some of the brightest minds in the country and look where that got us.
Still like Obama, inspite of the Donnie McClurkin fiasco. Also like Biden, but need to do some more research on him.
How about a Biden / Obama ticket with Obama taking the reigns in 2012?
No Hillary please!
all my humble opinion ,and I bow to the folks here who have been watching this mess....errrr game longer than I have.
At least they didn't say it was worth 2 gazillion dollars. LOL
What a crock.
Wow - its about time! This admin has done more damage to the GOP than any other in history....IMO.
Damn writers strike...Bill Maher must be chomping at the bit to cover what's been happening in the last couple of weeks. Between the eraserheads at the CIA, the findings on Iran's "nuclear bomb progress" (Bush - his Iran was dangerous, they are dangerous and the Will be dangerous speech was so 3rd grade!) Huckabee and Romney's god talks to me complex, and last but not least Guilian's MistressGate - he would have a field day!
NVMG - good call and glad you made some bank on it! May you and all of us have many more plays like that.
Yep, have not been playing pennies or much of anything other than tennis (USTA bumped my ranking - yippeeee) and golf. I'm a poor bagholder on a lot of these POS's still, but at least I'm healthy! LOL
Will be making a trip to the mainland in March. will let ya know if I make it to Napa!
Cheers and Happy Holidays!
Aloha bro! NVMG - how much longer before the dumping starts? Ooops, looks like its taking a breather already. LOL

[[[[blushing]]]]]] LOL -thanks!
LOL - that was obviously our club Halloween mixer, and actually the costume didn't bother me at all. I picked it out because Raphael Nadal and I both like the movie Gladiator. I just use a different mantra than Russel Crowe, "Power and Control" vs "Strength and Honor!"
: )
LOL - especially the huckleberry preacher with the Aids Quarantine history!
Here's your Huckleberry!
Oh well - here's the link.

Nice hats!!! ; )
LOL - her legs would make most male gym rats jealous. They look like something right out of a Frank Frazetta painting.

HO HO HO!
LOL!! I think we should also eliminate the word HO-tel. Don't most transactions take place in a Car? ; )
Wow - I really thought I told you - sorry! Haven't picked up the subwoofer - already have a decent one, but IF my idea of trying to match some of the Orbs with my Polks does not work well, I will be in the market for a subwoofer.
I have a decent mid-priced Denon amp - haven't read anything about the Outlaw Audio - will check it out too.
I think between the 6 or 7 of us regular posters on our board here we could run the country just fine!!
True! At the very least we would not be pissing off most of the rest of the world branding them evil doers, and saying Jesus talks to me.
I'm more of a marketing guy, so I maybe I would make a decent ambassador to say....... Tahiti?
Agree completely!
One of these days I'm going to venture to www.orbaudio.com and get some of THEIR speakers.
I picked up 6 of them when you recommended them awhile back. Very impressed with the sound ,separation etc., and wifey loves the size.
When I finally get around to completing my media room, I will be experimenting with using them in conjunction with my Polk Audio main speakers and subwoofer. If the big speakers don't add anything, or don't match up with the satellites - I will probably keep the entire system small.
Thanks again for your input and expertise bro!
