The lady with the coffee from McDonald's actually was counter-sued and ended up with around $60,000-$70,000 if I remember. She was awarded a lot, but the counter-suit took it away, but of course the lawyers made their money.
We never hear about those counter-suits, but gotta watch for them.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
bigbizz, keep saying whatever you want, I believe you to still be conservative anyway. FG is simply playing it way to safe, which is his style and is great to have people on both sides of the coin.
FG of all people should be able to see just how sensitive this stock is to large buys or sells. The real float is slow low, it will be easy once the word is out of this stock to run it WAY UP!!! I don't understand where people get off by saying there is dilution!!!! We need more float to create some stability in the price. We all know that about 7.5 million shares of the "float" are tied up in one place that is NOT TRADING.
The dilution theory is similar to printmail01's thoughts that huge sells drove the price down today. Glad FG cleared that up!!
So much misinformation, amazing how anybody would buy this stock if they didn't have some personal idea of what is behind the "message board talk". And likewise is true, amazing why people don't buy this up like crazy depending on what side of the story you hear.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Thanks FG for the correct info, amazing how SOME PEOPLE will lead others to the wrong side of the street.
Hey diverdan, did you ever get that EXE file?!?!?!?!
JMHO, TAfirehawk
I disagree FG...
I know the past makes us all very skeptical, but only $1 or $2 is simply too low. I bet we see $5 before the end of the year, not sure what to bet, but I bet it does.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Not quite bigbizz...
The real money is not through ANY retail outlet, the profit margin goes way down at that point. Direct sales is good, but the real money comes from the commercial and government side. I could care less about the retail side, I HOPE SEVU IS WORKING THE COMMERCIAL AND GOVERNMENT SIDE 10 TIMES HARDER THAN THE RETAIL SIDE.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Thanks gotin, amazing how many sources we find for the new accounting procedure, but SOME PEOPLE here still don't believe.
Where is the merit in the class action case? I don't get it. Who benefited from the last 12 months? It sure wasn't anybody at SEVU that is for sure. On the other side who really lost money?
It is becoming so obvious where the class action started from and what proof they have. What a waste of the judicial system!!! It's the stock market for god's sake, geesh.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
I figure ALL retailers will run out of Secureview. SEVU is just getting its feet wet and going to as many retailers as possible. Don't forget that they still have the GSA listing and numerous commercial customers. I don't care how many they make, they are going to run out as the production ramps up. MAN THIS IS GREAT NEWS!!!! As long as they don't fall behind too much, this is great for business!!!!
JMHO, TAfirehawk
FG, we should not be surprised if Class Action is granted. There have been so many crazy things happen with this stock and company that nothing should be unexpected. I completely agree with your comments and think a counter-suit has more merit than the current rubish, but anything can happen in the SEVU saga(soap opera).
I appreciate the opportunity to buy more shares, which I did this week. What a steal at this price!!!
JMHO, TAfirehawk
I disagree, AMEX probably won't happen until next year and more like mid-year at that. I am simply guessing, but I don't think they are in a hurry to get to AMEX like last year.
I sure wish they would get to AMEX by the end of the year, but the new management is much slower in these types of moves than Rich was. For Rich, everything had to happen yesterday, but the new team understands how long things take in this kind of business.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
NO NO NO. Those patents are under license to SEVU. Please review the stinking information again. This is simply sickening how the FACTS are not being looked at in this issue.
I may have to go over to RB to VENT!!!!
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Finally telling it like it is!!! Way to stop beating around the bush with the basher/shorter coalition.
Love it and keep up the good work, a lot of us are with you and SEVU.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Great post dk76, I am glad I clicked NEXT because I almost hit RESPOND right before reading your post and was going to say the exact same thing.
dk76...
It's interesting that many here seem to believe SEVU owes "us" an explaination on a number of issues. I'll admit, some of them may be valid, but are they worthy of a public announcement? If SEVU wants to be a real company, they won't stoop to responding to message board questions. If any of these issues are important enough to one/many shareholders (or potential shareholders), the parties should contact the company. If SEVU receives enough inquiries, they may deem it worthy of a formal announcement. If they refuse to comment, it may be enough to convince someone to sell or not invest in the company. That's the option of the individual investor, but certainly doesn't obligate the company to respond to every question.
I'm a shareholder with a reasonable number of shares. Personally, I'd rather not see the company waste their time engaging in the pissing match that takes place every day on message boards.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
I do not think Heartland needs to buy in "bulk" to get a discount, SEVU works with each individual retailer to set a price for the market segment they reach.
Sounds good, but my information says it is not that good.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
printmail01, isn't there a difference in buying a product and buying a technology? Seems that the website is selling a product, NOT THE TECHNOLOGY.
Stop the touting junk about FG,bigbizz, or myself. If you EVER bother to get the PERTINENT facts in ANY situation, you would see FG has been one of the strongest critics. The reason FG is the best critic is that he can see both sides positive/negative and make an EDUCATED decision. The basher/shorter coalition on the other hand simply twists everything to the negative. This twisting sometimes makes the rest of us level-headed people look like touts, when in fact if you looked at every one of our posts, you would see we complain too, just not every stinking post.
Please take you RED FLAG and stick it where the sun doesn't shine.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
You simply lie printmail01, Rich did not get shares for what Charles brought to the table. Please spend the 30+ hours you have A DAY and research THE TRUTH about the SEVU patents instead of the patent law and what you THINK happened.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
printmail01 does not use the FACTS all the time!!!!
Please research those patent numbers, print or madhat, if you are so concerned. I have seen the actual framed patent certificates and have no question to where we stand on this issue.

Bill, what do you mean NO PR??? Duh...where have you been. Amazing how the great researcher Bill Branum can't even look back AT THE HEADLINES OF PAST PR'S!!!!!
http://quicken.excite.com/investments/news/story/bw/?story=/news/stories/bw/20010523/a0403.htm&s...
SeaView has entered the wholesale club arena with Costco Wholesale Corporation (Nasdaq:COST, news, msgs), the largest wholesale club operator in the United States. SeaView COO Michael A. Ambler announced that SeaView has been awarded a Costco vendor number. "This is the first and most critical step in the business relationship, and it has been in process for several months," Ambler stated. "A vendor number is required to do business with all of the major retailers in our market segmentation plan, as it is the basis to set up our EDI system for orders, shipping and invoicing. We currently have several vendor packages in process and I will announce those as we receive confirmation of those vendor numbers. Costco is a key partner in the wholesale club market segment that will bring SeaView and SecureView products to its 30 million members via the internet and its 300 membership-warehouse stores."
JMHO, TAfirehawk
I bet when you check bigbizz, you will find the John is correct. The law changed and thus the restatement. I agree that counting this as income to start with is kinda sketchy.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Of course Bill is a lead plaintif. He said so himself and he is being as BLUNT as humanly possible!!!
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Hey Bill, is this part of what you put before the judge? I hope not because there have been multiple reports from multiple sources that John is right on this one.
I suggest you get your facts straight before the people that know the LAW come after you for all your influence in ME losing on SEVU. Yes, Bill you are one of the reasons this stock is down and don't for one second think that all interested parties know this.
Actually, John and your discussion on this issue is mute until the SEC comes out with their findings from the investigation.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
I see your reply got deleted shamus, shame on you. You may run your own business, but you still miss the point that the SEVU-Rich relationship is very complicated. I have dealings with both and still don't understand how it all works, but it does work!!!
Some things said on this board and some things between the lines on this board, I know to be WRONG and I feel I must comment on them.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
I am not sure Secureview would rate an 8 out of 10. That seems a little high to me. Secureview does not have all the bells and whistles for a complete security package like a wired system. It really isn't marketed quite like that to the public/home market, but other options can be added since Secureview is a camera with output to any device.
I think a 6 out of 10 is more in line with the current Secureview package. We are just looking at the tip of the iceberg compared to what can be bundled with Secureview. Someday, in all due time!!!
JMHO, TAfirehawk
OK Bill, I guess talking with an SEC lawyer is not proof these days, that seems kinda funny to me.
I know the board will carefully review your post!!!!
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Since you don't know how SEAVIEW is ran, don't comment on it anymore. Simple as that. No outsiders ever understand what it takes, so don't pretend to know and complain about what you think you know.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Hey Ken Cook, maybe you should read this X10 review, it really explains the whole setup quite well from an independant source.
http://www.wirelessnewsfactor.com/perl/story/12054.html
JMHO, TAfirehawk
shamus, you should also do your homework and understand how business is ran. Do you actually think that $80,000 would cover McBride and Associates employees and expenses AND leave Rich with tons of money.
This is so ludicrous that I won't even go on, this questioning is simply STUPID.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Videocom, Wire21, Charles Abraham are the same, look at the contact page and who is listed.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
I hear the direct mailer is doing VERY WELL.EOM
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Cabos brought up a few good points but went to far so I commented on MY OPINION. Discussion is good and we were having one.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Actually FG, Rich is still at the company and acts as a consultant when needed by the management team.
Ken's use of FULL CONTROL is an obvious LIE, but his point of Rich still being at Seaview is correct. And I am glad Rich is still there to run the marketing and R&D.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Another highlight of John's post....
Furthermore, the law for sales related announcements each quater was different then last year. Last year the companies could annouce sales after orders not just after shippments.
Amazing how all the bashers avoid this FACT!!!!
JMHO, TAfirehawk
I am one to defend Rich, and he was VERY successful in the marketing business for 20 some years. Does McBride and Associates ring any bells??? Please pay attention before jumping to conclusions.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Rich's future employment is DEFINITELY NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.EOM
JMHO, TAfirehawk
The Taiwan deal is none of your business.EOM
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Why do I believe Rich doesn't read this board? Because I KNOW THIS TO BE A FACT. Most of the time he finds out what is going on here when a few of us email him.
He posts here out of good faith and I LOVE IT.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Stop beating a dead horse and move on.EOM
JMHO, TAfirehawk
What statements make the new management team look like Rich's puppets?????
His last post was simply R&D and some simple answers to questions raised. It is simply an informal update on SEVU's progress, seems like a real favor to me.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Rich doesn't answer because he doesn't read the boards. I don't want him wasting his day by reading this dribble, not sure why I bother either. He has new camera boards to implement and other technical stuff at SEVU.
Don't be surprised if he answers later about the shares, but he may never see the need to justify himself to YOU.
It seems pretty simple to me that since he is no longer an officer in the company that he can vote whatever he likes, since it is not for himself. The whole intent behind his statement was, "I will not vote my shares for myself as CEO". Plain and simple. It was not a simple statement out of the blue, but a response to the growing pressure for him to resign.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Silly me, who needs evidence? You are right dk76.
