NEW PPA SUPPORT POSTED ON PUC SITE FROM NH POLICYMAKERS!!
Check it out. Full letters of support in regards to the PPA between Laidlaw & PSNH.
From Sen. Bradley, Rep. Gallus, Rep. Theberge, & Max Makiatis, the Androscoggin Valley Economic Developmen Director
Long & Strong. Gotta have some faith in ole Barty. I believe that any restructuring or moves made on Laidlaws behalf will be in the best interest of it's shareholders. IMO, barty realizes that this company would not be where it's at today without its shareholders. Give him the benefit of the doubt. You have allowed this psychological game get to you when you start thinking that 2 weeks before this SEC process is completed, Barty is going to send us down ish creek without a paddle. Berlin has been years n the making. Patience will reap a reward.
Only he who knows shall tell.....
Ahh, what the hell
.26
Too tempting. Someone has to enlighten the 8 people opposed to this project. Especially due to the fact that the misinformation over there is out of control. Lol.
Good Morning fellow LLEG breathren. On this 16th day of of the 8th month of LLEG's year, Two Thousand Eleventh..........
Looking forward to the next 6 weeks here, the next 2 weeks in particular
--Coos County Biomass Lover
New post on the SEC site. From Tom who represents Wagner Forest Management, one of the intervenors in this process.
Said he won't be attending the hearings next fri & will no longer be involved in this process. His concerns have been addressed & he likes the way things have been handled.
Good news IMO.
Yeah, you see on the trades page, your two 250,000 trades. The bid/ask was .0015/.0016. You see the column to the left of that with the heading, price? Your trades executed at .0015, the bid. Hence, why it registered as a sell.
Don't worry, I was confused & had the same question not too long ago.
Registered as a sell because you caught it at the bid, .0015.
All good
Well, whatever it is, it's a recommendation. Nothing more, nothing less. IMO, the PUC can't legally force PSNH to grant CP the easement. They can recommend that they do.
If it were to go the legal route, it would be tied up in litigation for years.
Although it shows up in the daily docket filings, it might take a few days to show up officially in the CP docket book.
From the PUC:
"Although every effort is made to keep this information current and accurate, it may take several days for information to be posted to the web site."
Here's the direct link to the historical whining of CP:
http://www.puc.nh.gov/Regulatory/Docketbk/2009/09-067.htm
What's the word of mouth answer?
The Staff at the PUC definitely recommended something. Showed up under the daily docket filings today. There just isn't a link to the actual recommendation under the CP service list file. Could show up tomorrow
Anyone hear anything about the CP/PSNH easement issue? The PUC extended their response time til July 21st, which is today. Was looking on the PUC site throughout the day, where decisions, responses & filings are updated in real-time. To no avail.
Anyone?
Will be very interesting on what the PUC has to say relating to this issue.
Does anyone know who this Sheridan Ellis guy is? The fella that submitted the latest letter to the NHSEC, basically just referencing 4 recent articles that were published regarding the carbon emissions study of biomass vs coal conducted by the Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences.
Couldn't find anything on him through a routine google search. As evidenced in Jon's case, it seems as though any momo can send in a letter for or against this project.
Ironically enough, on the same day that the NHSEC filed Ellis's letter, the Manomet Center released their own statement clarifying their biomass study. Stating that many articles in the press oversimplified the study results. Took the study out of context in many instances and didn't include several important factors in relation to their study.
Key conclusions of their clarity statement include:
"Unless these factors have been assessed, as they have in our report for Massachusetts, it is not possible to
estimate the time it would take to pay off the debt or the magnitude of the carbon dividends—making it
difficult to draw conclusions about GHG implications of using wood."
"Finally, there are many other considerations besides GHG emissions when making energy policy—these include
energy security, air quality, forest recreation values, local economics, other environmental impacts besides just GHG
emissions, and quality of place, among others."
Maybe I should just send this statement to the NHSEC
LOL. Nah, doesn't mean that although it is what I suspect. Just haven't had the time or energy to make the 25 min drive.
I get 2 days off a week, Fri & Sat, and I usually have an ish-load of things to do around the house, besides a family to take care of.
Sorry, haven't been able to get that done yet. As soon as I do, I will report my findings, as difficult as they may be to bear.
How is the Laidlaw fam doing today? Awfully quiet here today. Everyone alive and well?
Like the fact that we closed at .0015 2 days in a row although the volume sucked.
My 1st day off is this Fri. I won't be able to go there until then, at the earliest, but can't promise anything.
I'll definitely report whatever I see or don't see once I visit.
I know they are a tangible company also, lol.
No questions for me. Just waiting patiently for this lamb to turn into a lion.
Hoping the big surprise we are waiting for wasn't the fact that LLEG hit .0011 today, something it hasn't done in a few weeks.
So no CINT on the 10th Fl.?
Figured this was the case. I'm in this POS for about a year now at .0006. I was just looking to break even. Had a sell limit order in for the longest. Turns out it expired & I forgot all about it. Was pissed when it ran to .0007 last month.
I'm willing to take a loss at this point. Someone please buy my shares at .0004, lol.
I see that their office address is based in Morristown, NJ. Anyone ever try to stop by there. I know exactly where Headquarters Plaza is, being that I'm from Jersey & live about 25 min from there.
I should pay them a visit just to verify what I already suspect.
I have been meaning to do the same thing for the longest since I am right across the river in Jersey, about 10 minutes outside of the Holland Tunnel.
All I could envision was the movie, Boiler Room, when Seth goes to check out the offices of Farotech and finds an abandoned storefront at the address...lol
Let us know how it goes
"MacQueen reported the city has paid DRM about $70,000 so far for its services. There is $30,000 left in the $100,000 appropriation allocated to cover the city’s cost as an intervenor in the SEC hearings. Mayor Paul Grenier predicted there is not enough
money left in the legal account to complete the SEC
process."
This statement is indicative of why it is so essential for Berlin Biopower to come online.
I work with a Pharmacist who purchased over ten million shares last week... he currently holds close to 16 million shares... Supposedly he has connections to someone who works for LLEG and they are tipping him off to BUY MORE!
Well, on Thurs., 4/22, the day which we had a volume of 17+ million, a friend of a friend can account for 10 million of those shares. I recommended LLEG to one of my best friends who still holds a couple million shares. He actually sold a few million on the runup to .0070. My friend turned around & recommended LLEG to his co-worker buddy who purchased 5 million shares in the past. He added to his position on Thurs, 10 million shares. He caught the brunt of them at his bid, which was .0012, which is why they registered as sells.

V. All participating state agencies shall report their progress to the subcommittee within 90 days of the acceptance of the application, outlining draft permit conditions and specifying additional data requirements necessary to make a final decision.
VI. All participating state agencies shall make and submit to the subcommittee a final decision on the parts of the application that relate to its jurisdiction, no later than 180 days after the application has been accepted.
VII. Within 30 days of the submission of final decisions under paragraph VI, the subcommittee shall hold a public hearing on the merits of the application, which shall be part of an adjudicative proceeding as provided under RSA 162-H:10, II. At such public hearing, the subcommittee shall hear testimony and receive evidence submitted on behalf of the applicant, any intervenors, agencies with jurisdiction, and members of the public represented by counsel for the public appointed under RSA 162-H:9. At such public hearing the subcommittee may also receive comment from any member of the public on the application.
VIII. Within 240 days of the acceptance of an application, the subcommittee shall issue or deny a certificate for a renewable energy facility.
IX. If the subcommittee at any time during its deliberations relative to an application for a certificate deems it to be in the public interest, it may temporarily suspend its deliberations and enlarge the time frame established under this section to issue or deny a certificate.
X. The provisions of this section shall take precedence over any other provision of this chapter if there is a conflict.
Good morning fellow shareholders. Hey Brungy, are we going to get a meeting update from you today or are we going to have to wait for the Berlin Sun to be released tonight for tomorrow?
Anyone have any info about the meeting that took place yesterday in Concord? I believe some of the things that were scheduled to be discussed were the public hearing schedule and the petitions to intervene.
I figured you were going to say that, lol
I would have to disagree with you here. A more accurate statement would read, "that's typical pink-sheet/OTC business, he's not unique here".
Having a track record of missing timelines is generally considered bad business. Now, please do not misunderstand what I am trying to convey here. Timelines will come and go. Some goals will be met. Some will sink like the Titanic. Other timelines will drag on for what seems like forever. It is the communication aspect that is of utmost value here. Communicating to your shareholders is key. And it doesn't need to be everytime a timeline is compromised. But if a few months pass by, it is not asking too much , being that we have placed our faith & hard earned money into this company, to expect our CEO to let us know what is going on.
I own my own business. I am not public but the same ideology applies concerning my customers. My customers invest money in my services. If I cannot provide them with those services in the time that I have designated, on a consistent basis, I will most likely lose these customers.
In relation to publicly traded companies, we all realize that timelines are commonly not satisfied. That is understandable. Pinks to companies on the Dow. Micro to large cap. Business as usual.
But it also stands true that there are not many companies across the board that have mastered the art of communication. When to issue an update, when to hold back. Exactly what to share and the best time to share that new info. Executing good news so it appears to be the greatest news one has heard in the history of the company. And how to execute damage control with sheer finesse. Even multi-million dollar PR firms routinely miss this mark. To this, it is of no surprise that Mike has missed this mark also.
Pinks tend to be of 2 extremes in regards to communicating to their shareholders. Either too much, which tend to be pump & dumps, more often than not, or too little, which tend to be scam, fly-by-night companies who have closed up shop & will move on to the next group of suckazzz under a new ticker.
Mike, Laidlaw, is obviously neither of these. He just has to find that happy medium. In his defense, he is not a million-dollar company with hundreds, or thousands of employees on the payroll. He does not have a PR firm to craft the finest press releases. Nor does he have all the free time in the world, as he lays in his villa on the Mediterranean. He is most likely overwhelmed with tasks & the responsibility of steering this company to future success. Preparing for the upcoming meetings in the next week, in regards to Berlin. Trying to close on the 2 plants in Mass. And trying to push forward the project in Illinois. I am confident that he is hard at work and has the best interests of his shareholders in mind.
This pink-sheet company is a real company people. It is not a pump & dump, nor is it a scam company selling snake oil. You can follow the progress of their Berlin project on the NHSEC site. A project, that, when it is approved, will have major implications, somewhat inadvertently, on the state of New Hampshire. They have major political backing & support. A JV with a reputable alternative energy company. Financing. The start of a power purchase agreement. Berlin will happen and the days of squabbling over trip zeros, or double zeros, will be a thing of the past.
I also own millions of shares and am currently seeing nothing but red, like many here, with LLEG. And it has hurt to see the price dwindle from .0070 to what I thought would be stable .0030's. Now we could be on the verge of seeing triple zeros if this downward trend continues. Take heed though, remain patient. I have the utmost faith in Laidlaw and their vision. I have never met Mike but he appears to be a stand-up guy. I believe he will fulfill the goals that he has laid out, even if it is not on the timeline that he has provided. He is not going to sell his shareholders down the river. I believe we will reap a harvest here fellow shareholders. GLTA
Is there any way to add up all the T-form trades in, say, the last 30 days, to see where we are at, in terms of the shares that were sold.
It was Mike's opinion in that past ihub post you quoted from yesterday, that Mike believed the selling pressure was coming from 1 of the 4 small capital raises that he did over the last several months. I think he believed it was from the last small capital raise he did, which was about 30 million shares.
I think we have surpassed that already in afterhours t-form trades.
I agree. I really enjoy reading Mike's blog posts. Have to figure out what he's getting it.
The obvious, he is is preparing for tomorrows meeting.
But why the mentioning of the clock? Time is on our side? The waiting time for a new PR release is about to end? Watching a clock equates to exerting patience. Lol.
Looking forward to the next 6 months
I am just loving the way that Laidlaws attorneys owned, both, momo Edwards & Clean Power, by writing objections to them intervening. Unlike the emotional rants of both CP & Edwards, Needleman utilizes past precedent as to why these clowns shouldn't be allowed to intervene. CP & Edwards ought to be contacting their attorneys by now to dig up some precedent as to why they should be allowed to intervene, but, as of now, I see both CP & Edwards not being able to intervene, or at least be given very limited capacity in their intervention. And Edwards, if you are going to Private Message me telling me to go F myself, at least be man enough to do it in an open forum where I can at least respond to you. That's if I get to see before the mods delete it.
http://www.nhsec.nh.gov/2009-02/index.htm
Hearing schedule dates are set.
Another new posting on the NHSEC Site.
Pre-Hearing Conference: March 11th
Public Information Hearing: March 16th
I realize that this has most likely been laid out here in the past, but according to the Berlin Sun, this is what we have to look forward to for the next 8 months:
"As its next step, the SEC must now hold a public informational
hearing on the application in Coos County within 30 days. Within three months, the various state agencies ruling on part of the application must report progress on such issues as draft permit conditions and data requests. That is followed by adversarial hearing or hearings involving the state agencies and intervenors. Final decisions by state agencies must be submitted to the SEC within six months, giving the committee two months to come up with its final decision".
The public informational hearing should be held by Feb.25th.
Out of curiosity, anyone familiar with any of the names on the subcommittee?
APPLICATION COMPLETE!!!! Cheayh! Check the NHSEC site
Indirectly then IMO. That's what these savage vermin do. Prey on weak hands. Anything that can be interpreted as potential bad news, the mm's will drop the price to scare one into thinking people are selling on the news. Personally, I could care less. Opposition is expected, if there was none, I'd be worried.
You missed the substance of my post though IMO. It is time to let our voices be heard to the NHSEC. There are many educated, well-versed people here from all walks of life. Many who have posted well thought out diatribes right here on why this project is needed in Berlin, Coos County & NH. This support here on the ihub board is great but where it really needs to be is on the desk of the NHSEC.
Could be attributed to the letters sent in to the NHSEC opposing the project. These were just posted today. One from the Sierra Club & another response from everyones friend, Jonathan Edwards. It seems like any schmo with a pen or computer can send in a letter to the NHSEC. I think it's tine for some Laidlaw supporters, especially those that live in the area, to send in some support of why this project makes sense in the big scheme of things.
Well, there is limited research on this matter, but one can go through the list of current or past projects on the NHSEC site and see if there were any approvals on the first run. Looking at the list though, there aren't many projects listed that are starting from scratch like Laidlaw. A lot of the filings are simply motions filed by already existing companies that are trying to revamp or ungrade something.
I browsed through the list and there was at least 1 project that was accepted right away.
Current Project: Granite Reliable Power, LLC
Docket No. 2008-04
(Filed July 15, 2008)
(Accepted Aug. 14, 2008)
Here are a couple that were delayed by a month or so for one reason or another, but they weren't flat out rejected.
Current Project: Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company – Concord Lateral
Expansion Project
SEC Docket No. 2008-02
(Filed April 22, 2008)
(Accepted June 23, 2008)
Past Project: Community Energy, Inc. and Lempster Wind, LLC
Project
SEC Docket No. 2006-01
(Filed Aug. 28, 2006)
(Accepted Oct. 17, 2006)
What does this all mean for Laidlaw, absolutely nothing. Whether it was negligence or an oversight, they just need to get it done and I am sure they are aware of this. We will not be waiting a long time to see the "Order on Completeness and Acceptance of Application" imo.
