Yes, I have them in the blue slots. I will work on a solution and report back.
Thanks
Bruce
I haven't installed Asus Probe software. I will do that tonight.
Thanks for all of your help.
I will also look for a new BIOS. I believe the one on the MB is Sept 2003.
<Did you remove the stock heatsink adapter bracket from the MB before you installed the water block? Is the water pump properly primed? Are you getting bubbles in the hoses?>
Yes to all.
Bruce
Thanks for your input. That's the reason I posted that. Two things: I don't know much about AMD's running temp; and (2) I used ArcticSilver 5 for the first time. I went to their site and they showed using a small amount in the center of the chip top about the size of "one and a half" rice gain. I have never done that! I always put a full thin layer over the entire top! Now I am worried!
Bruce, scroll down to #10 for the 64 chip. Am I reading that wrong?

Thanks for your help!

I used Corsair 1GB TwinX1024RE-3200LL Rt kit with two sticks.

<Have we won over the die hard Intel builder in you yet? (g)>
OK you win! See, you can teach an old dog new tricks!
Thanks for all of your help!
Bruce
I ran the Pitstop test. Hope I did this right.

I put an old video card in, so lost some points there. I am waiting for Nvidia 6800 or ATI X800XT. The P4 I have gives a 301 on Nvidia 5900.
The test unit is a water cooled AMD F53 64bit. The cooler block is running at 35 degree C while the BIOS reports a CPU tempature of 49 deg C.
Thanks Bruce. NTFS it shall be.
BTW Bruce
Would you go with NTFS or Fat 32 for speed?
TIA
Yeah Bruce, I downloaded the 64 bit WinXP, but it would not take the Raid drivers. I have not been able find any drivers.
I will run the PCPitstop soon just for you!! <g>
FWIW
I followed Augieboo to this site some time ago. I have been an Intel man for over a decade building many computers (hobby) based on the Intel clip. After reading all you had to say about AMD, you convinced me to build one. The Terminator was the box of choice. However, two articles on the Koolance box F53 64 bit was such a temptation.......well I just could not resist. Today I finished the build. Followed pretty much the article in Extreme Magazine; just cannot get the video card yet. Bruce you cost me a lot of money!! <g> Thank you for all of your input on this great site!
OT...Does anyone know where Augieboo is??
TIA
LG, thanks for the reply AND analysis.<eom>
Rick
Nice post....thanks. Since I am 100% long, I hope you are correct!
"Anybody reading MDA"
Well, I know what happen to LG, but what happened to Augie? Does anyone know OR is he lost between California and Florida? I'm about ready to send out the National Guard!
So sorry for your loss Frank.

Change from 60 to 50? I honestly don't know how. I have never tried to change the number. I looked at stockcharts options, but could not find any way to change it. Do you know how?
IMTS-Chart
<<BTW, are these IBD stocks?>>
No Augie, but a scan using their criteria.
Thanks
Makes for interesting charts!
SunGard To Acquire SCT; Leading Provider of Integrated Software Solutions for Higher Education Expands SunGard Offerings
December 10, 2003 08:33:00 AM ET
SunGard Data Systems Inc. SDS and Systems & Computer Technology Corporation (SCT) SCTC announced today that they have reached a definitive agreement for the acquisition by SunGard of all of the shares of SCT for $16.50 per share in cash. Based on SCT's approximately 35.4 million fully diluted common shares outstanding, the transaction has an aggregate value of approximately $584 million. The board of directors of each company has approved the transaction. The acquisition is not expected to have a material impact on SunGard's financial results.
Thanks again.
Thanks Jim! I was doing a scan (fishing) for good stocks and ran into both! Marking time indeed!
Augie interesting charts. Base? Buying/Selling with no change in price? What do you think is going on here?
And
STCR is supposed to be a good one. IBD #19 of 100. I have had it on my watch list too but now it has gone through it's 200 EMA. Will be fun to watch your chart to see where this thing is going after their merger with Wheel to Wheel.
Thanks
Nice call on BKHM!!--eom
Chart with an interesting pattern. Strong breakout.
Thanks for that post! I wondered what happened to some of my annotations!!

% Change Year To Date 722%
% Change in Last 12 Months 1101%
% Change in Last 4 Weeks 17%
One of the hardest questions I have to ask myself is how and when can I jump aboard this train? With gains like above, might be time to sell and take profits, not add new money. However, it did break above resistance at $21 on the weekly chart, but I am not sure it can stay here. The how and when for me would be to wait for a pull back of seven or eight weeks then buy on a breakout.
Daily might be getting wedgie.
Augie, may be a candidate for cup and handle. Longer base of over eight weeks. Quiet volume in bottom of cup with some accumulation. "Your" accumulation/distribution indicator looks bad. (#75 of IBD 100 eod last Friday)
Augie, I would have liked to have seen a longer base (cup)...say eight plus weeks. Thanks for the heads up. That's a time frame (monthly) I forget about too many times.
>>This morning I believe ABAX broke up out of this descending triangle or is continuing sideways.<<
Nope....broke to the norm........DOWN
Yes sir....I'm now the proud owner {G} <eom>
Thanks LG. That cleared it up for me. That would explain why I haven't seen examples of that pattern used in rallies. This morning I believe ABAX broke up out of this descending triangle or is continuing sideways.
Thanks for your help and time.
Thanks Jim. Makes sense. It is descending within it's pattern.
Augie, does this pattern have any significance? It is not a descending triangle because there is no downtrend above the formation......right?
TIA
Augie, thanks for the chart! I am looking at ESI. (IBD #86 out of 100) Flat base or maybe a "W" pattern. I have a stop market buy at 51.25
Also looking at SWIR. Maybe a buy at 19.20 (#97 out of 100)
Very short pull back (base) but nice breakout.
Augie, hope you held on the EENC <eom>
Augie, I did jump in today but late. Up about $0.80. I'm hanging with this one.
Yes 57 out of 100 <eom>
Augie- cup n'handle
