Thank you, Don, wasn't expecting that. Marked you, too, I guess I'm just a compulsive marker. Supporting CDIV, expecting all of us to do very well. I remember Joe Namath and Snake Stabler well.
Roll D... TIDE, from an old GF in Andalusia, AL
Good, thanks.
Thanks, Monk. I'm serious, you know the values there, any suggestions how we can go forward?
Thank you, trader. I think with what I've learned and my new approach, I'll be able to afford my share, and it should kprove to be a good investment for all of us.
I've got an idea. How about the board getting together, buying a villa in Barbados, and dividing it into time shares for the members? We could also hold frequent meetings and Monkinars there.
Good morning, Block! Welcome back, Monk, good to hear about your luggage.
Good morning, Den. Block, all indicatiors look bad, a good sell. Not too close to a pincher, LOL
Just don't talk on your cellphone here in California, you might get a ticket.
Hey, Block, I really enjoyed meeting you and especially the story of how you rose like a Phoenix here. Thanks very much for the MAC, I couldn't have done without it, but I must confess that I am going to stick with my PC desktop. I need to use a mouse, my old fingers don't work so well. Poor Iheartmoney had to help me uncrash and unfreeze the computer so much that he missed a great deal of the seminar. But he is much more tech savvy and a quicker study than me, so he surpassed me quickly. I learned a great deal, which I am applying already, but could benefit from the advanced course, still a lot to learn. The big difference between us and the school children is that we are motivated and have an inspired teacher.
Hey, Callen, thanks, and I did likewise. I've been so manic that I'm marking lots of people, I don't want to tell them lest they get big heads. They all deserve it for being good, generous people. There's no I in team on this board. I just had to take out a premium subscription because I ran out of free posts.
LOL, maybe 20 years ago .Best wishes for your continued success, you are a good example of "you get what you give." What a great group and weekend, that's the kind of teaching and learning our schools should have.
Thanks, Brent. I am on a posting roll, a natural high. This board is the Investing Family that I always wanted and never had. I hope that I can add some substance to the board and pay back and pay forward.
Greedy, Cabo is very good, especially if you like to fish. I do, as does Ex and hopefully others. I like any place that's warm and has a beach. that's why I left Chicago years ago for Southern California, feel very lucky.
Yo, Pug, likewise. I made up the name, tried to think of something bizarre and unused, seems to have worked.Don't you! let the amusement interfere with making money, though! Good luck in your trading. I picked up some pointers from your comments.
Thanks a lot, Maico, backatya, like Cheech would say. Great Monkinar and board. I have already applied a chart lesson from the weekend selling a hope stock based on a crossover on the chart. I am a swing trader, can't do day trading because I am still working part-time, but I picked up plenty from the seminar. Swing trading is less stressful for me anyway, fits my personality better. Hope to see you and the rest of the gang in the not too distant future.
Thanks much, Greedy, looking forward to meeteing you at a future reunion. You were mentioned several times at the Monkinar.
I forgot to send my regards to Callen, Maico and Puglet from LA2. It sounds like you are using the lessons well.
Rich, I was at LA2. What about Barbados?
Hi, Neheth, I don't have PM so I thought I would post to you here. I am a relative Newbie to this board although I am no newbie to investing. I have made more than my share of mistakes. I highly recommend that you go to the next Monkinar, especially if it is near you in the South. There is one coming up in Rishmond and another inn Knoxville. You have to see for yourself the approach that Monk and others on the board take to investing. It is very effective and their records speak volumes. I think that you could meet your goals if you have the discipline to follow their methods. I have started already and anticipate good results. Do you live in Charleston? I spent some time there, it is my favorite city in the South. Good luck, this is a great board with a lot of helpful people, a real team here.
Still high from the Monkinar. Dumped a lot of hope stocks today, following Monk's advice. Biting the bullet is not easy, but the ones I dumped are getting worse and worse. Maybe at the end of the yeaer the alumni from the monkinars and other posters can get together for a reunion and celebrate our green year. I'm green already, but not with envy, just my acccount.
It was suggested to me by Blockman at the Monkinar that I rent the film "Pay It Forward." I intend to do that. That seems to be the theme of Monk, Blockman and others on this board regarding sharing and helping without looking to be paid back, and it is a win-win for all.
Mel, thanks a lot for getting me into the Monkinar at such a late date. As you can see, I was more than pleased and am implementing what I learned already.
Monk is in charge of that. Make sure to check out China Beach and especially Tofino. There is also good fishing in the center of the island on the river, if you are into that. Going to bed now, best of luck.
Andy, been to Parksville also, good swimming. THe whole of Vancouver Island is great for exploring. Make sure to go to the Monkinar in Vancouver if possible, well worth it, and make sure to listen to these wise men.
Andy, Esquimalt, next to Victoria, you'll enjoy Victoria. I lived in Victoria for awhile, one of the great cities in the world.
One of the things that I respect JB for is his ability to realize what he doesn't know willingness to ask for help and information. A rare quality indeed in a CEO.
It was. I used to live in Victoria. Forgot to mention CTay also. additional good guy.
Attended the monkinar, a great seminar. Monk is a gifted teacher, very practical and patient. The material is concise, without fluff or wasted time. We also had a great time and everyone learned a lot. A very valuable and enjoyable weekend, highly recommended. Also had a chance to meet several members of the den, including Blockman, Connie, Iheartmoney and others, all of whom were great fun and very useful contributors.
I'm glad it's getting increased coverage, but most of it is on the internet and in the newspaper in the Puget Sound area. I'd like to see the print and TV media cover it, such as the WSJ, New York Times, other big city newpapers, Barrons, CNBC, MSNBC, Sunday news shows, radio talk shows, etc. I'm not holding my breath, but that would put additional pressure on the perps in this case. Anyway, it's been a long, tough slog but it's progressively turning our way, as it rightfully should.
There should be a Pulitzer prize awarded to Kristen Grind, a truly brave and tenacious reporter. One of the real heros in today's journalism, who really deserves the appreciation of all our shareholders. We have other heros in our battle, many on this board, as well as our excellent lawyers, accountants, A and M, honorable judges, etc. We have a real team, and it will pay off in many ways for all concerned. Congrats to all the longs who have held on despite the many ups and downs here. Itr has been a very constructive experience for me, learning patience and rediscovering trust in the system.
WOW! Great news for us longs, justice is being served and our patience is soon to be well rewarded and compensated. Courageous and honest judges both. Thanks for that post, it made my day.
Thank you for the PM, Mark. I don't have PM yet. I believe that I was speaking for many on this board, giving credit where credit is due. I wish I knew how you and UGS do it, maybe you could give us a paid seminar, especially regarding on scannners and filters, but that would be giving away trade secrets, LOL
I have folllowed the posts of ANTADOG and koolmc for a long time and have noted good results from their recommendations.
Lots of sellers today, certainly understandable. The lack of information is inexcusable. With that said, however, it is at these times that we probably should be buying, that's how real money is made. Clearly, for every seller there is a buyer. I am not recommending buying, however, because I don't have dry powder and am not buying any more myself. I am still holding, although it is a heavy bag indeed.
I remember and am still holding. $15.00 wouldn't have made a big dent in my debt anyway, LOL Good luck to us all, and patience will win out here.
I've held this more than a year. Unfortunately, with $15.00 in dollar volume today, we still have a long way to climb and recoup and hopefully eventually make a profit.
You're right, but I'm already having fun!
Unlikely, but there a lot of shorts here, so anything is possible
