my guess is that they have developed multiple prototypes at this point, just hoping that these guys are willing to share some of the developments with investors here soon, the key of course is the specs and the repeat-ability, and the benchmarks they deem necessary to achieve before going public with the details
also this is just on the home front developments
here's to hoping we get a substance pr before the ASM !
Buz, not only that, but it looks like there are devices being kicked around and characterized at this point
yup, I've harped on this point before, it's all about device now, not just materials
devices devices devices
and remember, we were told devices on about 4 different fronts going on now
keep the faith

Buz, here's a link to the cliffnotes

ps- and yes, this IS what this board is all about, sharing info people
Rick, I agree, however this patent would appear to be a workaround for them, you need to read steps 302 through 326 which are illustrated in a drawing in figure 3, to view it I had to download a tiff viewer compatible with the patent office file format
I'm not sure of how much value this patent will be for them, but the market seems to like it
Gates, yeah no one here seemed interested, but the patent seems to give them a work around process to get their material used at the board or chip level, seems like a pretty good process for them, we can do better, question of course is, if/when ?
keep the faith

any impact on us here?
Steve, could you tell us all here more detail, was this a verbal discussion? if so, with whom? if not, could you share the emails exchanged here? what was the date of the discussion/emails? were you given any progress notes or expectations? tia
glad to be able to demonstrate the capabilities of our company first hand
gates, nice to know someone here is paying attention, lol, it sure sounds like they have some sort of prototype working at this point, and also don't forget the LSS has working devices now as well
the ASM being scheduled early this year has me hopeful that this years bag of beans will have some golden nuggets mixed in as well, we'll see
keeping the faith
anybody following the dbsi founder swenson trial I found this recent update, interesting read
http://grandjurytarget.com/2013/06/11/can-you-indict-corporate-executives-without-alleging-a-single-act-showing-intent/#more-94
fyi- swenson/dbsi/gig related
why is the Governor of Delaware interested? oh I don't know, maybe because these guys actually got something big here
what about that?
probably not buz, I think they should have it available via the internet for all shareholders to attend, at least on a listen mode if not interactive for any q&a portion, but I highly doubt that will be happening, so I trust that you & x and others here will give the board a reasonably good synopsis of the event, maybe they will raffle off a working prototype as a door prize, lol, but seriously I really hope the UCB newly consolidated effort produces something to show by then, geeesh
booyah! I'm more confident than ever before, and soon I will be telling all of you doubting Thomas's "I told ya so"
haha, jmho too, of course
don't forget that there are device prototypes already in existence at our LSS

Rick, I agree, and if we are successful in getting designed in for use in large system builds, I presume telcordia testing occurs coincident with the process development, thoughts anyone?
Buz, as tempting as that sounds to start on the slippery slope of poking around, I think I will pass and wait for my information to arrive by way of pr's and cc's, spiced up with the random dot connecting, speculation, heresay, and conjecture found here, lol
buz, nice find, would like to be a fly on the all over there
number of government clients 3 per top secret america
http://projects.washingtonpost.com/top-secret-america/companies/lightwave-logic/
thanks george, appreciate your reply
buz, also consider the pace of the progress, the spacer took about 1-2 years, then the patents took about 2-3 years more, the big name talent slowly was added over that course of time, and just now we are seeing the fruits of getting some "real" funding behind the development of the materials into commercial devices
keep the faith
buz, setting the wayback machine to that period of time years ago to which you refer, I think that you and I have swapped mentalities here completely, back then you were the true believer and I was the skeptic, and as it turns out, I was right then, and I hopefully I will be right again now too
the materials have always had great potential and I recognized that fact but the company back then was somewhat of a shell looking company on a super duper shoestring budget, and as such was certainly hyped way too soon, some of the differences between then and now off the top of my head are as follows
1) the spacer development
2) several key patents being allowed to protect the IP
3) getting beyond the shoestring budget and getting real funding to advance the materials to commercial viability
4) getting some big name talent on board (I think we all know the names)
5) getting real lab(s) & lab equipment
6) getting the right people in those labs & the right relationships with universities & companies to facilitate success (ongoing process)
7) getting the materials purified & process repeatable within the tolerances of commercial viability
personally I am convinced that lightwave will succeed at this point, will it be tomorrow or the next day, no probably not, but I think we are getting pretty darn close to devices with commercial viability now and I am very excited about this, after all, literally billions have been spent trying to develop e/o and a/o and no company to-date has that true next gen material yet, I am believing that we do now
wise, sometimes those who make the mistake of connecting too many dots early on can also make the mistake of un-connecting too many dots early on
just because EMP did not work out (currently mind you), does not mean all of the dots in Delaware have to disappear
your constant negativity points to you being nothing more than a shill here, beware the enemy within
why not just sell your shares and end your agony?
go away crybaby
looks pretty boilerplate to me buz, did you go back to the first agreement to see if the same verbage was included there?
congrats six, you finally get it, lol, at least that's how I read that pr from day 1
as usual, time will tell
news - Lightwave Logic Inc. to Hold Annual Shareholders Meeting on July 26, 2013
early this year?
Gates, agreed
agreed x, I think the true longs here recognize the trojan horse longs craftily trying to stir up dissent, truth to the adage beware the enemy within
inversor, I remember seeing a pr that showed that LPC had sold off all of the shares that they were issued by lightwave, so I presume they did this at a profit, that said, why wouldn't they want to renew the agreement and do some more of that?
from John D. Rockefeller to Bill Gates not all successful people have college degrees, and based on your post I assume you hold up the other end of the spectrum, an egotistical college graduate who lives a glass half empty life full of disappointments
http://www.buzzfeed.com/suits/very-successful-people-without-a-college-degree
it's called forward looking statements, which are always subject to a variety of factors which may materially alter an expected outcome
are you really that dumb not to know this?
I'm sure at the time those statements were made the expectations were as such
please sell your shares and go away, if and when we succeed I do not wish to be celebrating with people like you
agreed wholeheartedly AR
six, seems to me like there would surely be NDA's in effect for all of these collaborations on which you wish disclosure
simple lessons
lesson #1 - expect management to deliver the truth albeit sometimes half-baked and begging for variant interpretations
lesson #2 - don't take what you read on messages boards too seriously as they are the result of those variant interpretations at a minimum, plus everyone has some sort of an agenda and those agendas can be changing too
lesson #3 - take personal responsibility for your own choices to buy, sell, and hold a stock at any given time and quit finger pointing at management and board posters, if you don't like it, simply sell your shares and leave
hey buz, I don't feel the need to try and milk management out of information, I read the pr's and listen to the conf calls multiple times, I pay attention to crowd sentiments, I pay attention to charts, and I try to have some fun along the way, if anything, I think management listens and responds to valid concerns of ours here, if and when lightwave scores a game changing event we will all become lost in a sea of nonsense here
so on jun 7th with lightwave trading at 80 cents I give you the then completed rocket ship pattern set to blast off, and then on jun 11th lightwave goes up 25% in one day, and you want to paint me as a jinx, get lost loser boy prop, go whine to your momma
follow the reply to post to see truth, bugger off crybaby prop
looks like the 2013 jan-jun chart "rocket ship pattern" may actually be blasting off here, haha
