production lisence only on extracts because hc wants to allow. space for proper R@D before sales to public. it will rigorously tested. costs $. tweed has to develope a costly produce first before sales and getvitvrightvtge first time. If u demand scale to meet a demand, that also costs.
tweed farms can hold 100k plants at any given time"
B.Linton - Tweed Farms. = 100k at any given time . low cost, large scale. variety + extracts. (something many more doctors can get behind) Franchise calls regularly. ready for legalization in any form *not priced into stock.
are allard and elections a wildcard play here. Hc projected 400k mmprvby 20/20. this was the basis of this venture. a larger market. about 30k. registered mmpr. ? many many more on the dispensaries and street legal market. this is why most invested 18 months ago. obviously things are not as was expected. but the budgeting continues. i remember bruce thought $.80 was fair value at ipo nd people traded over $4.20! come on. investors control the market. not bruce. now his pay, thats something you can vote for.
not raising money. just society. cannabis stigma
i wonder how much of this is banks and investors not wanting the word marijuana on their books?
ya, i dont like it either. But Tweed remains as a distinct brand. so does bed . tweed farms and any more go come. hey, vote against the name with your shares. i might vote no just to hear other ideas. but i get the idea. canopy. a green cover of the industry. big green logo. green trees
tweed is and strivesbto be a first out of the gate company. new industry, new company. new regulations. everyone is saying "come on twd, wheres the oil!" well, it costs $$,$$$,$$$.cc to do this so well that when were done building it, it has great value. that day would be today when the got thd license. And still only to produce and not sell. no sales like the trolls would say. but guess which corporation is suited up nd ready to go and wont lose the game because of equipment failure. soon the big talk will be something like Canopy. and when the federals get in line, Canopy will be able to deliver.
uv lights at Hershey could give him a tan too. Maybe hes sleeping with the crop. 20 hr days there. Being a secure Key holder and all. Some one has to be there all the time. he could be sleeping there at night and workig during the day.
maybe he got his tan traveling frome ottawa to lets say... Niagra Tweed Farms...all that sun and green house. Or Bedrocan South America... probably 3-4000 patients there. And the new Dr on the board is a Dr of Aquusitions. The platforms seems to be designed for some sort of rocket ship. Sp going to da moon!.
profitability is a big question. With out it, the pps falls. does profitability look inevitable? a question of when and not if, which quarter financials?. i think inevitably when. tweed is getting better every quarter , wether cost cutting or increased value.
there is and will be plenty of data because of the direct patient to lp business model. and that adding to.he mcguil research and others will give lp's alot of information.
it only gets better from here, the cannabis that is. if only the pps would follow accordingly. tweed is awesome as an entrepreneurship into a heavily regulated sector. stifled even. how theve managed after 16 months public is impressive. hershey, farms and bed are like a rook knight queen combination.
id like to see cannabis oil + vaporiser in the MMPR.
2/5 0n expected news so far. Some one mentioned Q2 2016 will have a nice bump is assett value. lowering cost and increasing value. Tweed farms is most exciting to me. Niagra is beautiful and sun sun sun. I remember how greatly anticipated the October 2014 harvest was. when Tweed farms harvest starts coming in , I think tbe numbers on all fronts will be impressive.
production only
great!

Bed Customers will want to order BED product and Tweed and...next acquirement product. This can grow sales for each brand and give tremendous data as to the expectations of demand. produce highest demand together. Hershey is Large. Tweed Farms is Big. Doesn't Industrial Hemp yield Alot of CBD?
I just read a fiew articles saying no and a few saying yes. This was interesting "As long as agricultural hemp plants are pollinated by members of their own crop, the genetics will remain similar with low levels of THC." ..as long as...does this mean its possible to grow hemp size trees that yeild equal to a smaller denser plant. tweed farms is Big. Do Lp's buy and sell to one another?
Captains are on Mother ships and Star Treks. Chiefs cover continental Canopies. Chief Executives
your right. yet you can still expect to see headlines with loss numbers. that dont take into account the siggnificance of the build out in order to strive in thia insustry. like bruce said about exyractions, everthing seems to cost a.million dollars" especially if done properly to HC. standards for a nationally distributing corporation. its like building a rocket to the moon. dont buy the discounted o rings
I think the idea of the "Canopy" is much larger than Twd or bed as individual companies. Like mentioned about Googles Alphabet ABC corporarion, it severs for a financial distinction of the different companies/ brands that untimately serve the same overall goal while exploring different avenues of revenue. Obviously, there a whole lot that can be attributed to the significance of a name. That means for now, its a conversation. We've been discussing TMI for a while. Maybe the board sees Tweed in the name as habeing to much dominance over the name of othe brands in the conglomerate and yhe potential of stifening other venture. Anothe example from Googles Alphabet name. A-z covers pretty much evrything. so does a canopy. oh and bybthe way... when tweed farms gets going, i beleive it will serve all the conglomerate companies withing the " canopy". high production for every neich. I see the canopy something like the L.C.B.O. The name is up for discussion. the idea is great IMO

+1 MMPRUSER . Great DD. Not enough investors read the document filings for their securities, much less go through them with a lice comb. Kudos 2 U. I must admit though, the personal ranting and dichotomy of opinions in a single series of posts does not compliment your obvious attention to detail or the valuable information you present to the board IMO. Cheers
August 2015 Tweed Expected News Updated
Just a recap on the exciting month ahead for Tweed Clients and Investors. If Im missing anything, Please feel free to add to the excitement. On a side note, I have an observation. If 15 million Canadians admit to using MJ at some time in their lives, assuming most are not under the age of 18, can one speculate that the majority of Canadians are in favor of Cannabis Reform? Globe and Mail poll as of today projects a Lib/NDP coalition has 95% Chance of winning. 0% Lib and 22% NDP standing alone. Which means if the vote is split...Harpoon wins

We had a great visit with the folks at Tweed. With under two weeks left on a 12 week flower strain, the results we've seen so far are in line with what we expected based on experience with previous cultivars. We'll provide a discussion of the initial results in our upcoming quarterly report.

ISO 17025 environment.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO/IEC_17025
In common with other accreditation standards of the ISO 17000 series (and unlike most ISO standards for management systems), third party auditing (assessment) of the laboratory is normally carried out by the national organization responsible for accreditation. Laboratories are therefore accredited under ISO/IEC 17025, rather than certified or registered (c.f. ISO 9000 series).
In short, accreditation differs from certification by adding the concept of a third party (Accreditation Body (AB)) attesting to technical competence within a laboratory in addition to its adherence and operation under a documented quality system, specific to a Scope of Accreditation.
TMI/Tweed/Tweed Farms/ Bedrocan is no mom and pops tent vendor. Investors can choose where to take part and take interest. Hey, only 30k for a dispensary registration.
I think the issue of necessity with Medical "NASA" cleanliness comes under Liabilities. Your right , HC regulations do dictate. But can you imagine the variables that are needed to be controlled for a standardized pharmaceutical product. And Due Diligence, Tweed does not want a recall cause some one with a cough handled an entire batch of Leonidas. I think if we are gonna call it Medical, and and have Doctors and insurance companies on our side, we should give it the Medical treatment. It used to be that Medical was considered lower grade to recreational. Tweed is destroying that Myth. ISO 9000 series Quality management principles[edit]
The ISO 9000 series are based on eight quality management principles.
The eight quality management principles are defined in ISO 9000:2005, Quality management systems – Fundamentals and vocabulary, and in ISO 9004:2009, Managing for the sustained success of an organization – A quality management approach.[3]
Principle 1 – Customer focus
Organizations depend on their customers and therefore should understand current and future customer needs, should meet customer requirements and strive to exceed customer expectations.
Principle 2 – Leadership
Leaders establish unity of purpose and direction of the organization. They should create and maintain the internal environment in which people can become fully involved in achieving the organization’s objectives.
Principle 3 – Involvement of people
People at all levels are the essence of an organization and their full involvement enables their abilities to be used for the organization’s benefit.
Principle 4 – Process approach
A desired result is achieved more efficiently when activities and related resources are managed as a process.
Principle 5 – System approach to management
Identifying, understanding and managing interrelated processes as a system contributes to the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency in achieving its objectives.
Principle 6 – Continual improvement
Continual improvement of the organization’s overall performance should be a permanent objective of the organization.
Principle 7 – Factual approach to decision making
Effective decisions are based on the analysis of data and information
Principle 8 – Mutually beneficial supplier relationships
An organization and its suppliers are interdependent and a mutually beneficial relationship enhances the ability of both to create value
Re: NDP MMPR/Cannabis Reform/TWD
I dont mean to accuse Mr Mulcair of any nefarious political activity because I have no evidence of that. The grass reference is just my perception to his seemingly intentional silence that fits right in between the two other major parties on what seems to be a significant election issue. Perhaps the DD approach to this question would be a little activism. I have already made an effort to contact my current local MP(CONS) through phone and email asking what His individual position will be on Cannabis reform, and how it varies from the party line. Needless to say I have not had a reply yet. Next, I will contact the LIB and NDP caucus members campaigning for the riding in this coming election and ask the same question.
I think the Hot Potato, like you pointed out is this, voters will know which party to cast their vote for when the spearheading party presents an ACTUAL POLICY for cannabis reform in their campaign platform. LIB party is toying with the issue right now, promising the world without a policy to present other than the repeating "Regulate like tobacco and alcohol", which by the way would be great. Just show us the plan so we can support it. NDP current blank "decriminalize" approach IMO is a weak step back that could create more problems for everyone, pros and cons, such as Big Crime Money becoming an even more dominant player in the market.
Re : NDP affect on MMPR Industry
My previous post on this board (# -19829 Re: Fall Federal Elections )and
(# -19834 ABC VOTE)
Yesterday Sean O'Malley also opened the topic in the National Post with this article :
Summer of The Joint. http://news.nationalpost.com/full-comment/sean-omalley-lets-make-this-the-summer-of-the-joint
My opinion on the NDP re: MMPR is this; an NDP Government on the surface would seem much more favorable for MMPR industry because the party rhetoric is not so Ideological as the conservative "Not a Medicine", "No Evidence", approach. I believe the dialogue between industry and an NDP Government will have a much more sensible approach.
My personal caution with NDP is the party leader Mr Mulcair. He has been very quiet on the issue of legalization and regulation for recreational use, and I think that's a definite political play, trying to field middle ground between Con and Lib voters. It reeks dishonesty in political approach and looks like a snake under the grass. I imagine an NDP Government sitting on the issue if they form Government 2015 and try using it as a re- election topic five years later 2020.
Either way, an ABC (Anyone But Conservative) Government may still be an improvement for the industry. My main concern is that an ABC Vote will split the electorate and quite possibly re-elect the cons...and the Industry remains status quo, No progress without long drawn out supreme court cases and anti cannabis propaganda paid for by your and my pro cannabis tax dollars.
I enjoy the thickness of the sarcasm on the board, most of the time. These points have been exhausted on this board. Every single food/pharmaceutical/consumable in the entire country is REGULATED! when it is for sale to the public! Hands Down period. Alcohol, tomatoes, milk, tobacco, and Medical Marijuana. Bozzo and Sorrysound are just thick and daft with basic logic. Even when/ If Allard injunction is held up or thwarted, personal consumption still remains a different regulatory scheme than public sales. I enjoy more getting relevant information on the industry and the most significant players.
Found this in the twittersphere yesterday posted by MR Tousaw: http://www.cannabixtechnologies.com/
I think its an important industry play leading into full legalization. Every Cuiser in the country will be equipt with one! Every right wing conservative workplace will have one. DD on the corporation and wether they hv what it takes like TWD to pioneer an industry.
What Im getting at is that The Twin Trolls on this board are adding nothing significant to neither the understanding or information source of this board. They fill the board with personal baseless opinions. Nearly every argument theyve put forward is truthiness at best and downright misleading at times.
There are so many other valid, informative sources, on both the pro and cons of the industry without blatant bias. I blocked both of them and the board went up 10 grade points. Like Kindergarten to post secondary!
This is Funny. I think you hit the nail on the head on how Ludacris the Harper Government is handling prohibition and Medical Marijuana. The whole thing is soaked in Partisanship. Its a hot Potato topic, that unless the courts force them to , nothing will be done but status quo. And if another party regulates and legalizes, its fodder for the Conservative oppositions fire in question period.
Quote MMPR USER" The only thing I can think of - cannabis has been called medicine by be the supreme court, the laws regarding the production and distribution of cannabis medicine is all new and a lot hasn't been challenged in court yet - police are afraid of getting sued for hurting patients, they don't want to go to court to forced to supply prisoners with cannabis because it is their RIGHT!!!
They come into my house, find something that bothers them enough to put the hand cuffs on my wife - then they better take her medicine too - so if any of these guys get busted the news is a guy in jail puffing on buds? lol, is that all it is, because I know that would be about the end of the drug wars - right? when a guy in jail for selling buds needs buds and has the Charter right to SMOKE buds and to make brownies with them - how the hell they do that in jail? Would they give them an easy bake oven?
August 2016 - I agree. If I'm not mistaken, there was mention of Mid to Late August being the ETA for Q1-2016 results AND... Health Canada approval for Tweed Farms Expansion use AND... Extracts production Licence AND... TMI - (TWD/BED) Consolidation . All this was discussed in the recent conferences.
Ummm... Already reported 2015 Results.

MMPR Lawsuit
The lawsuit was filed with the Court of Queen's Bench of New Brunswick, Judicial District of Fredericton for: breach of confidence, conversion, breach of contract, conspiracy and breach of trust, breach of fiduciary duty, and negligent misrepresentation.
It reads like MFT is accusing OGI of stealing there joint business plans and contract contacts from under there noses to start THC. Courts will find out if this is true or not. Seems like a real Snake move.
http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/07/08/us-interconti-exc-nyse-trading-idUSKCN0PI1ZF20150708 The entire TSX is down. It must be because of this breaking news
TWD First Movers. I think TWD chose to be ahead of the quickly rising wave crest of this industry. The value of BED is hidden in their low profile. If Im not mistaken Liams Army was having their home made Extracts tested at BED for its content and purity. The international exposure could prove to be priceless beyond the difference in stock points in the next 6 months. Already near 25% of all MMPR Patients will be within TMI.
If you listen to yesterdays conference, Bruce and Marc spoke to the international trade being not the immediate priority ( Domestic is first ), yet still an important play.

ABC VOTE . I Agree MMPR User. Its amazing the Bigotry that the Harper Government has tried to and has gotten away with through the several Omnibus Bills and so forth. But my concern is that a split vote, a protest vote, or an ABC (Any one But Conservative ) vote will give the Harper Cons a minority or another majority government. Or that a protest vote would only diverge the focus from the reform issue, and we get a government that continues to balk at the issue in order to save face from perhaps a Conservative opposition.
