Niagara on the lake residents, police department, businesses and local government are very happy to host Tweed Farms. The Largest Greenhouse Marijuana Growing Operation in Canada and soon to be the world. Because they are good Corporate Citizens. They obey the laws that every other resident must follow privately and commercially and don't create problems for their neighbors.
Lets see a worst case scenario.
Some ill party completely separate from the innocent grow op MMAR party have heard about the goings on of the illegal grow op that just got raided. The neighbors and community are now too closely involved in the potential of having their security compromised because these brainless do-gooding oafs chose not to take regulations seriously. I mean, the report said they had been growing indoors for some time and the municipality couldn't do anything about it. They could have just kept growing indoors, and nothing would have changed til Allard is resolved. Duh!
No one can approach a Twd secure site that is vetted by no other than CSIS.
and Niagra On The Lake, Smith Falls, Guelph, Hamilton, Toronto and soon to be every other progressive economic region in this Country Welcome TWD.
Medd Cann should eliminate any MMPR patient license cost. Ive passed on clinics asking for $400 too. It will be interesting to see how MedCann will evolve the patient access scenario.
Blasphemy! Heresy! Treason!
You know the plants all went to Sick Canadians for less than $0.05 a gram! How dare you imply nefarious activity within the MMAR regulatory system! On behalf of this boards Twin Trolls I demand a formally written notarized apology.
Slap!http://cdn.meme.am/instances/59488692.jpg
Im curious. this is Niagara on the lake. no where near Vancouver. Where are all the dispensaries these meds were going to? I think there's one or two in Toronto. So where were the majority of buds from 900 plants going? And this is one harvest crop. There not mail ordering it out. Hmmm... I wonder where its all going?
I know! An underground charitable not for profit secret cannabis medical patient society where no monetary funds are exchanged.
Ive recently been in the Niagara area for about a month soaking up the sun. Its amazing there. Not Niagara falls and the city. I mean go to the counties, like Dunnville and such. Beautiful and Amazing. Bring your sun shades and suntan lotion cause there UV's galore! The plants in this raid have been on a paid vacation being outside like this for so long.
CTV reporting Angus as head of Tweed Marijuana and not Production Manager or president of Tweed Farms ( which is a different entity all together within Tweed marijuana inc ) is another example of why the media in broadest terms can not be trusted word for word. Due diligence to Media Consumers. Did they say allard is before the supreme court? I thought it was regional court?
My Heart goes out to those plants that are now being incinerated. They were obviously in the wrong place at the wrong time like ghetto children being raised by gangsters.
4 Licensed mmar producers, and *like 400 plants? This is how MMAR has been shooting themselves in the foot! Your allowed to drive max 100km/hr on most highways. Law enforcement lets 90% of commuters get away with 110km/hr. Dont Drive 250km/hr or 300km/hr and then complain when you get pulled over, your custom Lotus gets confiscated and your charged with dangerous driving! You f'd Up man! They gave you an inch and you took a Yard!
Lets be real. MMAR wants personal grow for all Canadians. Great!. I grow my own trees all the time. 1 or 2... ONE or TWO. and if by some miracle there is a regulatory system that grants 6... I might grow 7 or 8. Not 7 or 8 hundred. You F'd up Man.
i KNOW WHAT mmar WILL SAY. These plants were for patients that need it. And I believe that, for like six plants. the majority were most definitely being sold for a profit to whoever. street market included. "medical" on the street is a Brand.
Any way. back to Niagara and Tweed Farms. Did you see the quality of those trees in the raid! Wow. Now imagine what Angus is over seeing over there at Tweed Farms. Just the thought of it helps me to sleep peacefully. I went to Smith falls two months ago and the doors were locked tight. Secure site. Must have an invitation that is vetted by security clearance to enter. Tweed Farms is a secure location too so unless I call Investor relations and book an appointment and security clearance well in advance, I cant even smell the terpenes through the Multi million dollar H vac system.
MMAR needs to realize that the Free the Weed Campaign they are running right now is an Oxymoron. Freedom in any G7 society is not Free. It comes with rules and regulations that must be followed. Come on Man. If you dont pay your taxes, you will pay one way or another. And If you Grow way more plants in a Cannabis regulatory system than your permitted to then... well..lets just be dumb and pretend no one will notice or do anything about it because your fighting for human rights giving Cannabis away for free to all sick Canadians... Ya right.
....So Buccaneer issued a Letter of intent last year, caused alot of hype form themselves and the deal didnt go through. and then peace naturals got interested and more hoopla. nothing to show for it.
on the bnn interview Bruce said Twd had been looking at Med Cann since last year. Im assuming when everyone else was going after them. And now Twd does the acquisition without any unnecessary hype. No LOI ( letter of intent). after watching quietly from the side lines and seeing people pass on an improvement to the business model, twd swoops in for the pick up.
Now I dont know what this will add to the operating expenses, probably significant with lease payments and permanent qualified medical staff. But in essence, these are MMPR store fronts. Somewhere people can see someone face to face. Cant buy bud... yet. But getting there, legally!
Im going to visit the clinics with my wife in the near future, after they get passed the transitional phase, and get a sense of how they will support patient access. I get the feeling it will be inviting and non judgmental. Its not a dispensary cause selling in person out of store fronts is illegal... for now. But its a great step in the direction of patient acquisition.
I mean , Bruce has been hinting at this stuff for a while now.
Also,MED with approximately $75k gross sales a quarter last year in such a restricted industry, means they have a patient count!
Can we now add say... 1000 or so more meddcann patients toward the canopy goal of 10,000? where would that put the count now. TWD+BED+MED patients ? maybe 7k?
The platform is getting ready. like the slow three day. 2km/hr walk the shuttle platform takes to get into position. Its all calculated and looks uneventful. We will be starting the final countdown soon. And Bruce did mention something about being ready for whatever the evolution from medical to including Legalization might be. another Hint. Hint. Twd isnt sitting on share owners capital waiting for something to happen. There building the event and inviting everyone who wishes to attend. In that sense, 10k looks like just an early bird count. 100k. might just be the next phase.
Haaaahahaaha. exclamation mark. exclamation mark. exclamation mark. exclamation mark... lol.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh ya. slap slap!
sure. aquire ogi @ 0.27 , but not with Parry. The patient file alone is worth consideration. And and organic brand/ platform is a good play. We see organic in every food and beverage market and usually priced at a premium on a very small scale. Like the little juice cooler at walmart with arthurs juice in it. i dont buy tropicana or fruitopia at all. but the organic boom in food and beveragea has leveled off.
August was a good month for TWD. 4/5 on expected news. only tweed farms go ahead hasnt come on yet. HC is slow. but hey.
September is looking like a surprise suprise month.
October is where the increase in market cap and share price is hiding I think. Allard is upcoming and due. 20 odd thousand patients on the side line. Canopy need about 4k of that to be CF+.
And then there is October 19. but im just gonna go ahead and call a Harper win so Im not dissapointet and I can gage the industry based on those results. Twd is still succesful in that scenario I beleive
my word association with OGI is shady management. could be wrong, but that whole thing with the veterans clinic is sour. If for some strange reason canopy put ogi aquisition to vote I would against, unless there was a change from top down.
and it may be simpler for the twd to produce organic strains. i dont know. just imo
It would seem that the delays in licensing across the industry is causing some cash bloodletting that might be increasing the rate of aquisitions and consolidations. Just as Bruce and Marc mentioned at the Jacobs conference. Again Twd first mover status is allowing them to be active mover rather than reactive. Remember the comments about satalite locations? Well heres a few uncer the canopy in one province. 9 more to go and three territories when necessary. The price is interesting. I wonder if financial difficulties had any effect on that. Now Tilray has the support of Privateer which is a cash dinosaur that can, if investors support it, sit quietly for some time while they contract and wait fir Twd to pave the way.
Honestly, ive listened to the recorded conferences dozens of times and I find Bruce to be a straight shooter CEO. hes ambitious and seems to be in synergy with the board. This Board knows the industry , including the other players and is still creative enough to lead and smart enough to take note.
October 19. 46 days lefrt not counting today. I will be sorely disappointed if there isnt a change in Government. I was disappointed with the last election too, but that made me realize that I dont think I understand the what people are voting for really. The strangest phenomenon to me is the last tumbling of the Liberal party , traditionally supported by the recent generations of Immigrants who didnt vote Liberal and instead voted for a pretty anti immigration party as we can see with the current syrian assylum situation.
What it shows i think is that votes can still be bought by the party that has the loudest economic campain , the best fear mongering, and timely child tax checks. Scary, because even though we are investors, capitalists and money hungry bastards, we are still human beings and our social platforms are the foundations of society. I meam who really wants to live in a very very wealth subliminally racist, mesoginistic society?, Which is what i see all across canada. Women, Aboriginals, Muslims, Identifiable minorities still struggling to be seen as equal? 33% of Canadians I guess.
Group Think is a terrible disease. Racism, Reefer Maddness, Riot mentality. When individuals can freely come to there own conclusions regarding their own lives and act on it, then we advance as a society. Change doesnt come from forcing legislation on behavior, but free and open communication that allows ideas to be challenged and debated, especially at the parlimentary level. Thats why Canada has bee. socially regressive for the past decade, because the ruling party governs like the omnipotent talking head from the wizard of oz. sciemntists are muzzled and forced to be qiuiet on their research. MP's. tow Party lines more than represent their constituants. And the public is barraged with mind numbing media that discourages different percpectives. How else could the current Health Minister publicly announce no medical benifits to cannabis when she has no medical training? Alcohol has medical benefits. used every day all over the world. Poppies..growing out of the graves of a hundred thousand canadian soldiers, is used as medicine in the right scenario. every demonized plant on earth has its place. why its taking so long for individuals to get up of there brains and vote accordingly? Group think.
J Trudeau made a light announcement on legalization today. stopping short of delivering a national framework. instead saying he would like the provinces to decide how they would like to regulate. This is a great way to have an open debate from the nuances of the electorate. Twd could be well positioned to be part of that discussion.
I asked for my med records to be mailed to me yesterday, ..and im mailing them to the skype doctor when i get them for cannabis consultation. Lets see how that goes. Now , anytime i feel ill for any reason, i will repeat the process because cannabis is my choice rather than some live dissolving pain killer.
Poor data. This is where public service is failing because of the lack of funding, which is an issue brought on by the party in Government. Health Canada is Non partisant like every other Government service deparment must be. But the party in power can control the efficiency of the agenda through budgeting. And that is exactly the situation HC is facing now. With a back log of applications for facilities and delayed data at this point, what will it possibly look like when the 400k canadian expected in the mmpr come into the program? Without a change in Government the mmpr remains sluggishly hindered and underbudgeted imo, and LP's, patients, the industry and the Canadian economy will hare the heavy load.
The Industry? Frankly, I think its a lame duck... for now. Allard injunction is holding it back right out the gates, and Dr Gatekeeper is not willing to consider the benefits. My experience is my Dr told me ita fine to smoke a spliff once in a while buf he wants nothing to do with it. A terrible approach and conersation. Canadians everywhere are facing cannaabis stigma in the mmpr. Its like the abortion debate. Dr's making moral decisions regarding other peoples health. I can quicker get n ounce of street legal medical than a scrip. So i keep buying the street while negotiating with mmpr, and i think this is happening all the time. I want CBD rich cannabis, but all i can get is " some good shit" thats different every time. And... im a criminal for buying. The industry sucks! Brucw has it right, Dr education is the path to pave and Harper cons out. They want it to fail.
would be nice to see twd trade like tsla, with an projected futures market in the price. tsla is nowhere near profitable, but their innovation, management and the slooowly shifting petro culture is reflected in the market price per share. If US investors are the main investors in TWD with all that capital, what it thats holding back the market so much? Fear? October 19 elections? Mmpr Regulations? But if the cultural shift in perceptions and legislations are also inevitably changing slooowly, why is that not reflecting in the Canadian Mmpr Market?
i hv a glitch that mixes it with exxon sometimes shows $78 sometimes...if only
If Tweed decides to make another aquisition with adding shares before being cash flow positive, say Peace Naturals/30mil shares, how much direct effect could that have on the sp?
Rona Ambrose used to be the Minister of Womens Affairs, responsible for over seeing issues like 1800 Murdered and Missing Aboriginal women, and clearly we can see how well shes handles that file. Either theres 1800 killers walking free or a some very incognicent serial killers... A real scar on our society. Health Canada and all ministriea of government are civil services and purposed to serve the public first and party last. Ambrose is a Tool is Harpers fischer price tool box. Were not required to show previous voting cards when using civic services.
On another note, I think I remember Chretien proposing to decriminalize cannabis when he was in office and then cowaring after pressure from the US Lobbyists and theres some agreement G7 countries need an amendment to in order to change their own countries narcotic policy. So Legalization will be great, but slow to realize IMO
i think u can listen to the recording
twd has been excellent at delivery even in this unsure industry. remember the day before announcing bed aquisition was the jacobs conference and both bruce and mark were hinting at that direction. i try to listen closely to their inferences. look at how well they deliver. this right now is a scalable platform. to grow as much or as little as possibly needed imo.
awesome conference. i think theres a hint of tweed positioning itself for legalized recreational...hopefully, and bed taking up the medical helm. dispensaries are not competition, but potentially future distribution partners, and scrips are tax deductable. bruce and tim made the anticipation worse. its a rapidly evolving industry. were only 17 months in an both allard and fall elections are due. good times for longs. i wouldnt short this. that seems beyond reasonable risk.

Compared to Tweed, both Tims and Walmart have store fronts. MMPR Lp's are exclusively on-line and restricted. Now just considering what Tweed online traffic would look like after Legalization, especially if there were store fronts like MMAR dispensaries. If MMAR were to form some sort of legal union for online sales, the numbers may look like a Tims. The numbers could be much closer to Tims and Wally's, and so too the Market Value.

Who ever has the Contract to service Tweed webpage is doing well IMO. Probably getting paid well too.
This is confusing right here :
Age: It went live on March 14th 1998, making it over 17 years, 1 months old.
Must be a typo though
hasnt twd been bearish since day 1.? Speculative Buy?
nah. the board. i just hit reply on last post. damn auto correct in another language any way . TWD
"The NDP has had the same position for about 40 years,” he said. “Decriminalizing marijuana is the position of the NDP, it is my position, and it is something that we can do immediately. Mr. [Stephen] Harper’s plan has failed so we’ve got to start doing things differently. I am categorical that no person should ever face criminal charges or a criminal record for personal use of marijuana. That has always been my position.
This looks like smoke and mirrors to me. No criminal charges for at about personal production? com pers personal onal mercial production and sale? will that still be criminal? so i get to buy from street dealer and call it personal use and wont be labled a criminal, but the source does?
Come on. if your gonna do it, do it right. I can grow my own, but i will.still buy cause i dont have the time for horticulture. Do it Just like alcohol. Like the Liberals propose. Come on!
I have a feeling this wont be the only announcement on cannabis til october.
looks like were in the middle of an economic storm. economy is big talk on the election. a lisenced anx regulated recreational cannabis industry can CREATE hundreds, if not thousands of new jobs, tax revenue, law enforcment and court relief and tax dollar savings. mmpr is very restrictive. i dont want to try every possible other treatment before i get acknowledgement for what i know works. cannabis prohibition creates alcoholics and criminals. the current government prefers it that way.
now when china sneezes, global stocks catch a cold.
canada has a blue whale in bc. mmar, dispensaries., street legal and another in ottawa with elections. a probably a few smaller ones in other provinces. everyone is complaining when tweed runs out of bud.... but complains at $20mill finance to grow way more bud? i dont understand
society is a form of jail itself. probation galf wayhouse prisoners/citizens with a number/ social insurance number and gaurds/ police to enfocrce the boundries.
all tweed cap ex costs are driving towards the lowest opex basis. economies of scale
tweed the big blue whale.
extracts equals products specific to a purpose. added value. like lumber to furniture, or 2x4. this is a very new market. imagine the medical conversations. ailment, method of delivery, dosage. this takes time to develope. all lps with production lisences are busting their butts to be ready with the right stuff. nd the corporation with the most data and info and scale defineatly has an edge
i wonder if anyone beleives this movement is going to u turn? im not interested in freedom or jail roulette with rcmp. we saw what they did to their own officer with a ptsd prescription. its all reefer maddness nd stigma. there is the significance of extracts. if it can looks nd smells different, all of a sudden it will be a little better. like sativex. small great victories take time
