Hear, Hear! Frank for Chairman! Got my vote! If Frank will take the Chair I'll offer my services as a director. But only if Frank is Chair. No offense Gary, I think the "weakest links" at RB are a little intimidated by the two of us. Thus they won't post where we both are in control of a board. Maybe with Frank as chair they will feel they have a fair shot. Which is true. I doubt seriously that Frank would be unreasonable. Unless of of course your name is Gator! 8>)
David Weed

Actually Frank, I am not in disagreement with you. I also wasn't suggesting that you specifically try to convince me to buy AVBC. You have stated your position and stuck to your guns regardless. Only you know what is best for your porfolio. Although I disagree with your optimism concerning AVBC, I can respect that you are entitled to that opinion. What I find undeniably funny is that of all the optimists on AVBC you currently are the most reasonable. You state what and why. And you present the soundest argument for investing in the company. The product. It is impossible to deny the product exists and is quite good. I do hope that one day this investment does pay off for you.
Hey, at least you weren't changing things in other people's posts and deleting comments like some people think is OK. At your worst I can't recall you doing anthing like that. You know, Gator can be quite the test of one's patience. I understand completely your exchanges with him.
For the record, I was positive on AVBC until I understood the stock structure. Shortly after that discovery I did close my position. I still have an interest in the company as I do like the product. I look forward to it's arrival in Central Florida.
I may even chose to speculate in the company again sometime.

I'd be perfectly willing to drop it, but rosie seems to think she has to sling at me everytime she posts. Noticed after i stopped posting the volume over there dropped off quite a bit. Since so many like to trade barbs with me I thought I'd encourage them to do so here. Of course here they'll need to provide some kind of reasoning for the posts they make. But the elevated playing field should make everyone better informed, kind of like over at CBQI.
Sorry I missed seeing your guess...One thing about you, at least your within the realm of possibility. Rosie still outbids you and rwpauli put together!
Have a good day and I hope you are feeling better.
David Weed

www.warp-drive.com
Yeah,
Most of the RB crowd hasn't got the facts to back up the spew they call posting, so they are fearful they wouldn't be allowed to post over here. Some of them do have some good reasoning, but the RB board is dominated by a few that have no business investing, much less talking about investing. However I'd love to see how many of them truly believe the Company is going somewhere. Come over here and convince me why I should hand hard earned money to TG.
David Weed

Hi Frank,
Just trying to get things going over here. Fed up with Rosie's pie in the sky outlook and the you don't belong here garbage. Been gone for three weeks and she still was bashing me personally in every post she made. Noticed you had not made a prediction for the upcoming post 10Q trading. Got a number? It is just for fun isn't it?
David Weed
aka the Bird of Prey
www.warp-drive.com
Thought I'd put a little reality into the collective predictions.
The market currently values AVBC at approximately 6.25 million dollars. (.12 X 52 mllion shares) Lets see what our prognosticators below would be willing to pay for the company.
BGALGEE .24 12.5 Million
kodiak33 .275 14.3 Million
budddddyleee .23 12 Million
no_money1 .20 10 Million
54specs .21 11 Million
vegasrob .099 after drop to .08 5.2 Million or less
mklinger .179 9.3 Million
birdofprey .12 6.25 Million
ledeb .238 12.4 Million
elmoblatch .10 5.2 Million
knepperbob .075 3.9 Million
rwpauli .31 16.1 Million
thekillershark .099 5.2 Million
Cibao .26 13.5 Million
MIKMA .166 8.6 million
rosie (*.~).75 39 Million
So Rosie would be willing to buy AVBC for more than MIKMA, thekillershark, Knepperbob, elmoblatch, vegasrob and myself put together. Sounds like she might be just the one you should listen to. Picks like hers make you wonder how well taken care of her allegedly diabetic mate really is. Hope she hasn't "accidentally" given six times the prescribed dose of insulin! Do the math.

Matt,
Found something I don't like about the ad system...
When you click on the ad it does not open a new window, thus your valuable visitor has been forced to leave IHUB.
My suggestion is to have the ad open a new window when clicked, this will encourage people to explore what is advertised because they won't have to leave their favorite site!
"Die Jesu Domine, Domine Es Requium." (WHACK!). Repeat.
David Weed
aka the Bird of Prey
www.warp-drive.com
Matt,
On ad stuff...
Don't be to hasty to implement some of the requsets from some who are opposed to the ads in the first place. ANYTHING, and I do mean ANYTHING that will lower the CTR of the ad WILL reduce your revenue. If the Ad does not produce results, the Advertiser will not be back. As it stands now you have done more than enough to "protect" those that seem to think their posts are sacrosanct and should not be sullied by placement of an ad. Further separation might begin to affect the results of a given ad.
Personally, one ad at the bottom of a message, mixed in with "hot topic" message ads, is an excellent setup. I may even try it myself!
BTW, Do any of you anti-ad folks realize that RB places ELEVEN advertisements in EVERY post?
Aside to Matt, please don't take the ad thing that far!
I also like the idea of giving the option of a "paid" no-ad version of IHUB. That way them whut don't like the ads can put they money where they mouth is!
As far as Free no-ads use for Chairs and Directors with active threads, I'd say no. However Chairs and Directors with threads that have a large number of posts and users (tracked on a weekly basis) might warrant some kind of revenue sharing from the ad impressions they generate. My suggestion would be to track the number of ads "clicked" each week on a particular thread and reward (as you see fit) those CoB's and Director's that are the best performers or are above a set standard. This would reward the active and at the same time encourage users to investigate the advertisers. Better responses make advertisers happy.

Right now we can't...anywhere. It used to be a long time ago(before it was called the Internet) that programs existed that allowed one to select from a group of signatures or to append what was called a tagline(now called siglines). It generally made even the nastiest of flames tolerable when you saw a funny tag at the end of the message. Sadly these have disappeared on the WWW. I got a great deal of enjoyment out of them, I even moderated a thread that was devoted exclusively to posting and rating taglines.
here are a few of the best...
"It's Ensign Pillsbury...He's Bread Jim!"
"Jesus Saves! Passes to Moses, Moses back to Jesus, He shoots! He Scores!"
"I'm in a phone booth at the corner of Walk and Don't Walk."
"I'm a lawyer." "Honest?" "No, the usual kind."
"Heh, Heh We're Crime, and everyone knows... Crime doesn't PAY!!!"
there are more, some folks like to use famous quotes from the theatre and film, others will dig stuff up from books. Personally I think the best are made up.
My all time #1 favorite tagline was made up by my son...

SirVinny,
Before you get too far into things with Bixmann you might want to review this board...
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=620
It seems that Bix took umbrance when ONE of his numerous questionable posts was removed. The post in question was off topic and would have been more appropriate on a number of other threads chaired by the same director. Bixmann was informed of this...and apparently considers the post so relevant that he has not posted it elsewhere. But he continues a campaign to smear the reputation of the Chairman involved.
Please remember that a CoB can only temporarily remove a post. IHUB Admin decides if the removal is permanent. If an individual feels the post should stand Ihub Admin will and has honored requests to review.

Couple of points on Spell Checking...
Sometimes, I see you recently discovered, a spell checker won't catch a misused but correctly spelled word.
Also, many times the kind of poster that is so poor a speller that it would cause one to question their intelligence...isn't smart enough to use a spell checker anyway.
Even the best of us will make a mistake now and again, after all we are only human.
Then there is the Georgia Bard - Gary Swancey...He deliberately misspells and misuses words to make his point. It's called Bardology. It does take some getting used to, but it does what he wants it to do.
What really matters is the sincerity of the poster, regardless of their primary language or spelling capability.
After all, many posters were educated in the public school systems...who haven't produced a national spelling bee champion in forever...maybe it's because they spend so much time trying to find new excuses to arrest students!
Have a good Day!

In most cases though those that don't use peoplemarks also don't use Ignore buttons. The "don't use 'em" are a rather small minority (not meant to belittle them at all) and should not statistically alter the datapool.

Marty & Matt,
The simple solution is for the Chairperson to have another personal board "xxxxx's corner" that anyone may post to. In the stock boards Ibox the Chair could reference the "xxxxx's corner" board as a place for off topic conversation between "friends". The mechanism exists, it just needs to be properly utilized.
David Weed
aka the Bird of Prey
www.warp-drive.com
Hi Matt,
First, on the Ignore and People mark counters...
include the actual number of Peoplemarks but use a code for ignores. Something like this might be appropriate.
Ignores less than 25% of Peoplemarks = smileyface
Ignores 26%-75% of Peoplemarks = frowningface
Ignores 76%-100% of Peoplemarks = angryface
Ignores more than 100% of Peoplemarks = dingleberry
Ignores more than 200% of Peoplemarks = bye bye
Now onto Multiple boards per ticker...
I am 100% in agreement with you that there should be no more than one board per ticker. The extra board is usually a short term solution at best and a one sided playground at worst. The only exceptions might be those companies that trade heavily in the bond market or in a derivatives market (CBOE) If there is enough activity it might be suitible to have a ticker board, an options ticker board and/or a bonds ticker board for those that might wish to discuss only that aspect of a certain company's performance.
RB & SI are littered with dead boards started to air one side of an issue or prevent "certain" people from interfering with whatever that boards agenda was. After a time they discovered that with out opposition there was nothing to talk about. For a good example see the AVBC & AVBC 2 boards on RB. Second board didn't last a year and now they all post again on the origianl board. BTW, this is not a good example of how a board should function. 8>)
Anyone that wants to argue that IHUB will suffer the fate of boards like AVBC 2 because it seeks to restrict who can post here like that board did needs to remember two things...
1. Posting isn't restricted unless you step out of line. Then only the out of line posts are removed. follow the rules and you have nothing to fear regardless whether you are a bull or bear.
2..."What if the Chairman is unfair and deleting opposing views" - Answer - He won't be. If he isn't being fair, he won't be Chairman. Matt will be the one to point the finger at.

My .02,
>>>After all, THEY CHOSE TO USE THEIR REAL NAME IN THE FIRST PLACE!
>>To me, that adds a lot more credibility to them, than someone posting BEHIND an alias.
>>Nothing to hide, right?
Also, while I might use my real name and provide a link that pretty much reveals how to contact me (toll free no less!), that is significantly different from having someone take that information and post it on several message boards along with libelous comments!
Again, although a great deal of so called *private* information is actually public record there are some difficulties one can run into by publishing that information on message boards.
If the message that contains the personal information also contains comments like "he is a scammer, felon, etc." or if messages immediately preceding or following the PI message contain inflammatory statements...pray that nothing bad befalls your target...you may be open to serious criminal as well as civil penalties. Remember Jenny Jones?
I never scream about suing most of the folks I find howling about "this CEO is a (fill in the blank)" and most CEO's ignore them as well. Why? You'd be surprised how many live in a 1969 Fleetwood double-wide 37.5 miles northeast of Baton Rouge, LA or the equivalent. OR they are "kept women" living off their Sugar Daddy's money! Those are almost worth chasing sometimes.

So, while short and distort may be much more a problem for listed stocks there is NO way it is more of a problem for the penny stocks. Most people cannot short penny stocks therefore, pump and dump is the scam most used. Contrary to your thinking that we may seem paranoid about this it has been proven over and over to be the scourge of the pennies.

This depends upon the definition of basher. Remember that some folks consider any negative comment, regardless of the facts, to be bashing. By that definition the reference you provide does not refute calling you basher.
That being said my own personal opinion is that a basher is one that posts negative commentary without underlying proof. In this case, since I have not reviewed your references for the post in question I cannot comment on whether or not you are a basher.
What I can comment on however is your prediliction for challenging the principals established here at IHUB. Much as many may not like to have someone do so and regardless of their personal opinion of your motives and objectives, yours is a neccessary function. Without a challenge IHUB would not be able to grow and prepare itself for the future. As IHUB responds to your challenge it will either refute your assertion or adapt and incorporate new data to correct the flaw.

Matt,
Thanks for the plug! 8>)
Couple of things about the ongoing discussion concerning filing a complaint with the SEC.
Part of the reason ADAPT was created is because we have filed complaints with the SEC...and won. We have learned that the SEC wants more than just a disgruntled stockholders opinion that company XYZ is a scam, fraud, etc. Seems they respond very well to *DOCUMENTATION*! In every successful instance we have provided BOXES of documents that laid out step by step how things went. Actual tracing of several alleged *different* aliases back to the same IP address for instance.
It takes much more than someone posting information from an old, outdated and possibly erroneous report to motivate the SEC. Provide them with a list of aliases and the documented connection between them (ie all from same brokerage, same person etc) and show where they provided false information and/or misleading references (posts to each alias to create credibilty) by those same posters and the SEC gets very active in a hurry!
BTW, P&D is not the most prevelent form of Stock Manipulation. Our research indicates that Short and Distort (S&D) occurs much more often. These are usually cases where former employees, contractors, brokers etc. have taken short positions in a company and begin bashing the company to drive down the price so that they may profit. IMHO, far more damage is done to shareholders and companies alike by a single S&D than by all P&D's put together. Yet posters like Island Lfe, Coolbreeze and MMMARY (stockaholic) seem to focus only on the P&D angle.
Interestingly enough, the ADAPT team feels that our best potential clients (yeah we would like to get paid!) are Companies and CEO's suffering from relentless S&D attacks, rather than individuals like the above who often have no real evidence, only supposition and conjecture.
I am in no way claiming that the above mentioned posters have or do not have an actionable case. IF they do have real proof, it is their duty to bring it to the SEC...NOW. However, if they do not it is unlikely that they will cease to harrass those they believe to be involved in a scam. It takes little real effort to scream "fraud" on a message board. In our investigations we have found nothing to support the acusations of most of the complaints made against P&D's. It appears the SEC has made P&D it's focus and therefore there are few that truly get past their review.
I wonder though, how some of the "no more fraud" crowd would look if their trading activities suddenly came under scrutiny.
In conclusion, (I apologize for the length) we at ADAPT are prepared to review ANY case of Misrepresentation. Whether from individuals about a company or a company about an individual or group of individuals.
...and to all a good night!

1. If everything referenced was positive...NO it may not be harrassment.
2. What is the nature of the other 70%? If it is typically relevant...NO it may not be harrassment.
3. If all comments are negative...especially if remainder of posts are commenting on other posters...YES it may be harrassment.
Lastly, if posts are on many different boards and quickly follow a post made by the target...not only do you have harrassment, but you may have a cyberstalker.

Before I shut down for a relaxing weekend I'd like to offer the following comment on a "hositle work environment".
As I am certain that Matt, Bob and anyone else that has ever administrated a message board can attest, the very nature of an admin's job is a hostile work environment. After all, if your doing your job right the only folks that know who you are hate you because they were booted off the board. They are always innocent, and you are just an old meany for booting them off. The ones that are following the rules will never even know you exist. The only others you ever meet have some kind of problem with accessing this or that. It's usually because they are too dumb to be using a computer anyway or they are trying to get in somewhere they don't belong.
Admin is a tough job, and often a thankless one.
Have a great weekend everyone. Be sure to say a special prayer for the men and women that we honor this weekend. You know, the folks that died so that you could have the freedom to post what ever mindless drivel you want on a message board in Cyberspace.

Gary,
I've noticed that you have been discussing the number of securities that trade fewer tha 100K per day and such.
As I have been following that same thing for some time I was wondering if you had any ideas in relation to the following.
As you may well know many of the low volume issues also have the problem of a large number of outstanding shares. When these two difficulties are combined, the result is a stock that basically cannot move in price beyond a 1 or 2 cent swing regardless of volume. Since many of these issues often have huge short positions outstanding the possibilty of a *run* is unlikely.
In order to rectify this situation many CEO's resort to an RS. while this often solves the large OS problem, it creates a PR nightmare with all of the angry shareholders that feel cheated. This negative energy often lowers the stock price to the levels just before the RS.
Can you put that brain of yours to work on a solution to the above problem that doesn't have all of the negatives associated with the RS?

Matt,
If I might weigh in on this Ibox thingy...(trying to keep it simple for Grammy)
It might be better to err on the side of caution and set it so that once an ibox is created it remains static. If a box needs to be edited all that would be possible would be to make additions without altering the original text. Further these edits would include a time date stamp as well. Of course an admin could overide this procedure but only in the most dire of circumstances.
Concerning the signup procedure...
I am kinda partial to the receipt email that includes a code before you can post. also you could establish a blacklisting program that would disallow an account from a specific email address. I know that it is easy to subvert but at least they would have to switch email accounts everytime they sign up. If you add enough steps to the account signup procedure so that it takes too long to make it worth the spammers while, it might cut down on things. Perhaps make arrangements with a newsletter sign up site and provide a list of relevant ezines, when someone signs up they have to uncheck from the lists in order to avoid geting the ezines.
