Marty & Matt,

The simple solution is for the Chairperson to have another personal board "xxxxx's corner" that anyone may post to. In the stock boards Ibox the Chair could reference the "xxxxx's corner" board as a place for off topic conversation between "friends". The mechanism exists, it just needs to be properly utilized.
