Faulk's track record of deception is quite extensive. There's no reason he wouldn't continue to deceive people about CMKM Diamonds.
Great. Now I need to go check out our extradition treaty with the Canucks...
Why would you have expected Frizzell to demand prosecution?
He was there for one thing and one thing only: To scalp CMKM Diamonds shareholders for $25 at a time. If he could have imagined a way to stage a Phase III, you know he would have.
True.
I can't help but wonder...
Are Urban, Edwards, et al, still on U.S. soil?
The NASD has no jurisdiction over Edwards or any of the other crooks that were running this scam.
They're broken down by Districts. Every NASD Member Firm, and their OSJ's if any, are assigned supervisors within the various districts.
Don't waste an NASD employee's time with such an inane question, you can learn more at their website.
No, it's not an issue of their being "lax". It's an issue of how enforcement duties are distributed within our regulatory environment.
NevWest is an NASD Member. The NASD probably came upon most of this crap during one of their routine, annual inspections.
That kind of junk has a very short shelf-life, nufced.
Of course you dump it as soon as you get your hands on it.
Did you NOT read the story?
That was no short position. That was 250 billion shares, long, dumped by an insider.
It is astonishing how obtuse you people can be.
You're certainly not citing "FTD's" as a cause for Overstock's dismal financial performance... are you?
Now why would you want to do that?
Have you no idea how incredibly painful it is for a mullet when you rip the hook out of their mouth.
Yeah, like when the "mainstream" folk at NBC Dateline picked up on the Eagletech story. What did that get them?
Revoked.
The fat girl missed the point with Global Links. She is yet another financially illiterate writer who will be remembered for her inability to detect a scam.
ho ho ho
I think you need to keep in mind that ol' Lefty has a very playful sense of humor. If he has decided to finally bid adieu to the gulliblers, you can't be surprised he'd give them one last nose tweak.
This is akin to asking someone if they wouldn't be pleased if the crud being sold by the snake oil salesmen cured someone's cancer.
Of course you'd be pleased if someone happened to be cured of cancer.
But it doesn't make the stuff in the bottle anything more or less than snake oil.
The claims are gone, the "shareholder base" would only have value as a list for a Nigerian 419 scammer, and anyone who may have been fortunate enough to naked short CMKM Diamonds was right. They won.
Keep your fingers crossed for a dribble of Entourage, just don't be surprised if they mysteriously disappear during the "interplead".
That's all that's left.
And you probably won't even get that.
There is a delicious irony that she's ended up in bed with Mark Faulk.
I didn't know Nicole Simpson, but I still watched some of the O.J. trials.
We've had a bit of fun with Mark the Faulking Idiot recently over on Gary Weiss' blog.
Sometimes it's really difficult to tell if he's just a Faulking Idiot or a conniving Faulking Crook.
In the end, it doesn't really matter. You'd be nuts to pay any attention to his shlock pieces beyond their obvious entertainment value.
Now that Syd Barrett is dead, I don't think they'll ever solve that case.
It's a good thing you've put it behind you.
I don't think so.
I'm quite certain they were zuchini.
Not many people know this, but Janice was an original member of Nasty Bashers. Her bass signature is evident on their debut LP which happened to feature the previously obscure Joe Strummer who would go on to great fame with another well-known '70's/'80's punk band "The Clash". After losing two drummers, a lead guitarist, and fourteen groupees over the years to a drug overdose, two motor vehicle accidents, another drug overdose, a freak lawn chair accident where substance abuse was suspected but never proven, and another drug overdose, Nasty Basher would settle into it's current line-up, with Janice back on bass, and a new release due out this November with the sure-to-be-a-hit single, "Ode to Jay Adobe".
Keep an eye out for the video. It puts everything ever done by Duran Duran to great shame.
Have you seen the pictures of the luxury residences Urban managed to acquire over the past couple of years?
I would say Andy was very effective with the task he was given. The "true longs" can't remain oblivious forever.
Sooner or later, you'd think Entourage could use a pump artist with an extraordinary level of chutzpah.
So what if it did?
Even I have to say that's overly harsh.
Now Al Bundy... that'd be a reasonable comparison...
Just because she's an airhead doesn't mean you should expect her to be capable of "expanding" any given conversation.
The last thing that the gang of crooks (Reeves, Faulk, and Kionte) would tolerate is someone who'll go on their sham radio program and lay out the case against this fraud.
It's ok, though, because the people who listen to that show don't want to know either.
Don't know about that, but many of the gulliblers will probably be living in Pacers when this is all over.

(accadacca: "I GOT SHOTGUN!")
Plenty of them do, and not just reporters. They've managed to scam a number of politicians and even the director of a state's division of securities.
It just amazes me how many of them will swallow this shit without even doing five minutes of independent research.
Secret? I thought everyone knew who it was.
Wapner's holding the PR hostage until they give him back his old spot on Judge Judy.
"Movie Gallery Inc. shares fell 20 percent on Feb. 3, their biggest nosedive in almost a decade. At the time, there didn't seem to be a reason for the jaw-dropping rout."
How about their taking a half billion dollar stick in the eye in the 4th quarter of '05. That seems like a pretty good reason to me.
"``I've been pouring kerosene on myself and setting myself on fire because I think there are global, systematic issues with naked short selling,'' Byrne, 43, says."
If "Dr." Burn ever did get around to setting himself on fire, Overstock shares would probably double. He's done nothing but run that company into the ground.
Audible is a company that can't make a profit, consistently dumps more shares on the open market, has a net tangible worth of less than $60 million, yet sports a market cap that's nearly $200 million.
Of all the examples mentioned in that story, my favorite has to be to Sedona. At the beginning of 2001, Sedona had a net tangible worth of just over $3 million.
Guess what it was by the end of the first quarter.
The naked short seller didn't hurt any of these companies. The naked short seller is who the scam promoters and inept/crooked managers blamed as they themselves ran these companies into the ground.
Not as much as someone who committed any of their capital to CMKM Diamonds shares.
ho ho ho
The Leo Wanta Plan has to be resolved first, then they can pay out.
ho ho ho
You can probably thank DeWayne Reeves for that.
The current disclaimer on their website varies somewhat from the disclaimer that the SEC included in their complaint.
I'd say it looks like someone is going to put up a fight.
Not that I in any way condone this kind of behavior, but I really have to question the SEC committing resources to chase this guy. They don't like his disclaimer, and I understand that as well, but at least he includes a disclaimer and anyone with two brain cells in their head ought to be able to figure out what that clown is doing.
Meanwhile, Muller Media Inc. (currently on the site) hasn't filed their financials since August 2003. And that 12G filing is reminiscent of one of Casavant's old tricks. If the SEC really wanted to help investors, Muller would be halted immediately with no trades until they brought their financials up to date.
Amaze? Or amuse. Of all the scammers, I have to admit, I really like Darren. His cranium might be full of fecal material, and there is no doubt that he is personally responsible for the destruction of too much capital that had been in the hands of people around him, but how long can you really stay angry with someone who has publicly discussed the decision making process of whether to bum a night's sleep on his boss's couch or his ex-wife's couch?
Fun stuff... if you've got a decent set of hip-boots...
