AC Smith would be my second coise for a WH behind Rheen....not much difference.
Morning K
Time is slipping away to have a snow day here...looks like springlike conditions for us for the next .
Enjoy your view..
Hmmmm...I think you mean AO Smith...you might have the same dyslexic keyboard I have...LOL
Tankless costs a little more mainly because of the installation...it does cost less to operate but not sure how fast it would payback the extra to have it installed...that would depend on the usage...
It maintains water temp very well...you can adjust the temp from 95-140 degrees.
BD might be better qualified to talk about the deck...I'm old fashioned wood for me...
That will be a never ending war...think Abraham
Morning Mr Polar Bear...
Tanks are glass lined on the inside...could be in shipping the glass cracked but I would say poor quality might be it as well...
My top choice is Rheem...next would be AO Smith...in the future IF you have to change it again...look into gas tankless...and I go with 50 gal.
Ahh ok Gas...keep it up...sure doesn't hurt...and you leave the water turned on when you drain right??..that way plenty of pressure
your flow good??
Actually with gas the heat flows around the tank and with some through the middle...the bottom gets direct flame so yes it is hottest
It will benefit only if you continue to do that monthly...once it solidifies forget it...too late...LOL
No sir...that's fooking cold...lol
LOL looks like spring hits on Sunday
Exactamundo...especially if a gas model...it will displace a little water but not much
I've been reading the comments...yes the popping is due to sediment buildup...and yes a gas one is less affected by sediment buildup...as it builds up you lose a little volume...I replaced mine about 18 years ago...still going strong...Nat gas one...hope I didn't jinx myself...LOL
I can't tell you how many I changed while in business...and I'm proud to say...I can change an element out of an electric model in less than 10 minutes without having to drain it...and lose less than a cup of water...
Sad to hear BD had to have his changed so much...if yours is gas I wouldn't worry about flushing it...only if it is electric...just to keep the sediment from building around the bottom element.
It doesn't take much to slow the flow out of a drain...that guy was giving you a snow job...tell him if you wanted to be snowed on you would just take Lily for a walk...cracked tank...book it Dano
Will be thinking about you...but for now...time to eat...LOL
Hey you never know when you might need one...LOL
BWAhahaha and the last 15 minutes of my shift Im on break...so no more calls today...
LOL we have talked before...she knew better than to ask how our weather was...LOL
Sounds good for you...check the heart rate...
You should try my PLR-16...you would love it
Nice...now I'll have to look to see what one my Mom gave Dianna...hers is a 9MM though...Hmmm
Well at least she was hoping to get to work...LOL
Rodgers, the former president of the New Jersey State Nurses Association, was honored in 2016 “for her advocacy with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to declare gun violence as a national health issue.”
National health issue???...B---H please give me a F/break
Just off the Phone with a Lowes employee in Butler, NJ...filling out a return...she is about to go home because of the snow and hopes she can make it in to work tomorrow...yowser
Chair dancing now woot woot
Just off the phone with an 88 year old man...had to help him edit the schedule...QUITE a character...
OOPS I forgot...EZ might not know about MRE's...would have been C-rations
Man I remember looking forward to when Dad went in the field...he would bring home some C-rations...Mmmm...and loved those can openers...
Robbie brought me quite a few MRE's...love them
DIdn't you see??...he plans to not get out of his jammies for 3-4 days...shower not included...
LOL my Daisy sooooo would have done that...
sediment buildup will NOT cause a tank to leak...faulty tank.
Sediment buildup can occur in the 5 years...heck in one year ...I recommend a short flush every few months...will send you the Patriot pack survival food pack to get you through the month...you remember MRE's right??...
Say hi to you know who...
Wish I was close...we could change out that bad boy ourselves...
You could Smell this one coming...
APHA looking good in Pre market
Funny you should mention...DLTBGYD was just on my mind...
OOPS...well I do agree it is worth a repeat...
Israeli scientists announce a possible cure for cancer
By Thomas Lifson
Even allowing for the possibility of exaggeration, or of hopes that may be dashed, this is an exciting announcement, via Maayan Jaffe-Hoffman of the Jerusalem Post:
A small team of Israeli scientists think they might have found the first complete cure for cancer.
“We believe we will offer in a year’s time a complete cure for cancer,” said Dan Aridor, of a new treatment being developed by his company, Accelerated Evolution Biotechnologies Ltd. (AEBi), which was founded in 2000 in the ITEK incubator in the Weizmann Science Park. AEBi developed the SoAP platform, which provides functional leads to very difficult targets.
“Our cancer cure will be effective from day one, will last a duration of a few weeks and will have no or minimal side-effects at a much lower cost than most other treatments on the market,” Aridor said. “Our solution will be both generic and personal.”
It sounds fantastical, especially considering that an estimated 18.1 million new cancer cases are diagnosed worldwide each year, according to reports by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. Further, every sixth death in the world is due to cancer, making it the second leading cause of death (second only to cardiovascular disease).
Aridor, chairman of the board of AEBi and CEO Dr. Ilan Morad, say their treatment, which they call MuTaTo (multi-target toxin) is essentially on the scale of a cancer antibiotic – a disruption technology of the highest order.

I am far from qualified to evaluate the science and technology involved, but the approach sounds quite plausible. Rater than excerpt the explanation, I urge you to rad the entire article, which explains clearly the nature of the innovations at the root of this promising approach. Even if this approach proves to be a dry hole, however, it is an example of the innovation that seems to be a specialty of Israeli researchers in many fields. For complex historical, cultural, and practical reasons, Israel has become a technology superpower, despite a tiny population and many discriminatory practices overseas, including the noxious BDS movement (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) that seeks economic strangulation of Israeli enterprise.
Success in foiling Israeli entrepreneurship would stifle one of the world’s most important sources of scientific and technological innovation, one that has fostered a unique hi tech ecosystem that generates new firms and new technology, offering innovations that can change the world for the better. The normally anti-Israel BBC examined Israel’s success in cyber-security innovation and pointed to a number of factors that may not be reproducible anywhere else in the world.
Israel is unique among nations in many ways beside the obvious factor of being the world’s sole Jewish state. As a hothouse of science and technology, Israel already has offered many life-saving (and life-enhancing) technologies of tremendous benefit to all. This prospective cure of cancer, if successful, promises victory over a major scourge. The BDS movement and the Jew-haters – from the progressives in America and Europe to the mullahs of Iran who promise to wipe Israel off the map -- don’t want to see this gift to humanity come to fruition. Their destructiveness to the hopes of humanity for actual progress is of the highest magnitude, considering the discoveries that await.
