The battery of his mobile phone could have died on him
http://www.cfsg1.com/
a) KAT Exploration is not even on the Recent Clients list overview at the bottom of the site!
b) And what's with the www.cfsg1.com, what's with the 1?
c) And Copyright 2008, really? They haven't updated the content of the site since then?
Ok, now that we've got all that out of the way... I'll stop while I'm ahead as I feel there's posters on this board now who're a lot better at finding non important details to be able to post something less positive.
Come on people.
We were all screaming that the PR on the RR results of December 23rd last year was wrong in every single way possible, the only thing we didn't do was count the number of comma's in the PR.
On January 7th they gave us an update on company events. And again nothing right could be found.
We're waiting for a lot more:
- RR results
- BVIG distribution
- Uplisting/Reverse Merger
- ...
If it were your company, and you realized (as you got all that cr*p that you can't write PR's) that you could improve on getting information out, would you not want to spend some time making a reasonably solid choice on the IR company that is going to represent you? And do that first, before you make the same mistake again releasing news? I'd say they got it in the right order as far as priority is concerned. Let IR do their job now and assist Ken in getting the rest of the news out.
Or BVIG distribution...
Soooo much to look forward to :o
Exactly. We can wait for PR's in the hope that the PPS reacts, but that's not what is going to make this company. The site needs members, preferably paying members, but members. Loads of them. A hype would do nicely. And with that the PPS will follow. Members is the only thing that really matters here.
An uplisting and still only 3500 members (making the number up, don't know the exact figures), how is that going to work long time? Not. Members. Get the site out there.

Either of these will do
...full of vibrant colors.
Green by itself would already do it for me
It's in the PR released just now:
<quote>
Vice President of Global Business Development. Eddie has made substantial progress in promoting Liberty Star in Middle Eastern financial centers and is scheduled to return to Abu Dhabi in early February.
</quote>
Yeah, but with these daily trading volumes, that could be different from day to day
As long as they all buy at least one t-shirt...
They are allowed to keep 0.0003% of their finds for promotional purposes.
Nice, thanks for posting.
And there it is again:
"...it was determined that the northeast to north trending Cross Hills Lineament and the three known mineral occurrences in proximity to this lineament have potential for Iron Ore Copper Gold (IOCG) mineralization similar in style to the Olympic Dam deposit with Uranium and Rare Earth Element potential. "
I wouldn't even be reading the message board
DD opportunity.
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=54605&id=135810219778400#!/photo.php?fbid=189184464440975&set=a.189184377774317.54605.135810219778400
Now the blinds are closed, most likely on purpose, so there's no reflection of it behind him, but is anyone here capable of doing the CSI thingy and enhance, mirror, sharpen and do all the rest of it to Eddie's iPad screen so we can review his list of contacts in the Middle East and do some follow up?
Adding whenever funds allow.
That's true, I did not consider that. What if we find an abundance of REE's and flood the market. The R will have to be taken out of the REE. The bottom will drop out of that market
So basically, with http://www.facebook.com/pages/Liberty-Star-Uranium-Metals-Corp/135810219778400#!/album.php?aid=54605&id=135810219778400
"CEO Briscoe, happy in the presence of rocks. This one from Tombstone assays 1/3 oz gold and 20 oz silver."
"Eddie working on his LBSR presentation for his next Mid-East visit."
now changed to:
"Eddie writing down the names of his contacts in the Middle East so that Dr. Guilbert can sign books for them."
(source of original in http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=59019078 )
and
"Dr. Guilbert signing copies of his book headed to several LBSR Mid-East contacts."
James is really saying
"Listen up buddies, no chance of getting a PR out just yet, but do you get the hint that we've got a JV lined up for the Tombstone property with a party in the Middle East?"
It would be more fun than a PR. Less effective for sure, but a lot more fun.
Well, they changed it now to "Eddie writing down the names of his contacts in the Middle East so that Dr. Guilbert can sign books for them." or am I missing something?
And with that, I opened it a second time. LOL. Thanks for that
Or maybe, by the time they issued the January 7th PR, they already learned from their mistakes and when they stated 'a couple more weeks' they already anticipated they would have the results before than, allowing them some time to properly write the PR.
In other words: we don't know.
It might be due to the fact that I'm not 100% familiar with the American system(s), but where does a law firm come into this? Isn't this just a fee for which an invoice would have been received which would subsequently (should) have been dealt with by the accounting department?
Just need results.
Preferably in capitals, bold font and a minimum of five exclamation claims per sentence. :o
Hope Ken has one of those device.
Shall we all chip in and buy him one for his birthday?
For what it's worth: the mailman delivered the book 'Mining Explained' (A Layman's Guide published by the Northern Miner) here last week.
I'm not going to say it's the best 30 dollar I've ever spent but it's a very good read indeed, especially when you're interested in some more background info on what you invest in here, and can't survive on just the posts with knowledge dropped onto this board by a couple of contributors
Thanks for clarifying Mappo.
We should find out drill-results hopefully before 2-24-2011.
I have not been able to read all the posts lately, so I might have missed something, but where does this date come from?
It's not!
Check here:
http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/EIGH/quote
If it was trading as a pink, the message board would have five new messages a second today and EIGH would have issued eight PR's by now. It's not.
I'd say they are mistaken:
http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/EIGH/quote
If that were true, EIGH would have milked it for what all that it's worth.
Have you looked up the definition of Exploration lately?
"KAT Exploration Inc. is a mineral exploration company whose main objective is to locate and explore land with minerals and precious metal deposits in the mining rich regions of Newfoundland."
If they knew how to only choose properties that were guaranteed to contain minerals than can be (economically sensibly) mined, we'd all be invested in KAT Mining.
We're in a risky investment, I knew before I spent my first dollar here, I hope everyone does.
NEWS will come when we least expect!
I'm not expecting it today, does that count?
And in all fairness, I'm glad you pointed it out as I had not noticed first time I opened the link...
Yeah, but December 2006, so that's almost 2007

GM all,
Or something most likely. First (next) PR we'll get is that we've got an IR (seen the new link on the KAT Exploration site everyone is so thrilled about .
That IR will subsequently have the opportunity to sit down and formulate the PR for the RR results. Carefully. Very carefully.
Gut feeling, nothing more, nothing less.
See my earlier post, even Issuer Direct will have problems changing it as they directly get their information from Google Finance.
So if KAT Exploration want this corrected on their website (through that particular link), the only option I see they have is remove the link.
Simple Home. The company posted 13mil as the OS or float today on their website.
To complete that: the company linked to another company (Issuer Direct) who lists 13 mil as the float, this info Issuer Direct gets from Google Finance, where it's also incorrect.
Proof found: the wrong outstanding share count comes from Google.
Click the KATX link on the KAT Exploration site, you end up on the tearsheet of Issuer Direct. Open the source to that page in your browser, and there you'll find they get the data from Google.
I'll just copy in the bit here that refers to it (don't know what how the 'submit post' button would react if I'd include all the java script from there):
'.google-analytics.com/ga.js'
For me, case closed.
True, it's not even KAT Exploration. They link to Issuer Direct, Issuer Direct provides the wrong information.
Only thing KAT can do at this stage is have Issue Direct update the info (but they are getting that streamed from a source, so they'll need to ask their source to update), or KAT can remove the link till the 'problem' is fixed.
Overreaction here on the board. Only one thing worse than no information, and that's wrong information, but still we're overreacting on this one.
Let's focus on what Issuer Direct is doing in all this? Our new IR firm?
In the end there might actually only be a couple of sources where most get their information. So if either Yahoo Finance or Google Finance lists it incorrectly and is not updated, it's fairly easy for the rest to take that information and roll with it.
Yahoo Finance lists 641.60M outstanding shares.
Edit:
http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/KATX/company-info
has Shares Outstanding 641,603,644
We're all overreacting just a *tad* cause our *future ir company?* retrieves their data from a source that has it wrong. In my opinion that's all.
Correct, Yahoo Finance it looks like it comes from. I think that's actually the very reason why it's wrong.
Edit: actually, that would be GOOGLE Finance, Yahoo Finance lists 641.60M outstanding shares.
The link on the KATX site is to http://ir.issuerdirect.com/tearsheet/html/KATX.
Issuer Direct (is this their new IR firm?) needs to get their information from somewhere and it looks like they are getting it from Yahoo Finance as indeed they have the same number of outstanding shares listed.
I think we're overreacting a little here, people.
There's a mistake, sure, I'm assuming nothing more nothing less, and we're all over the place jumping to conclusions on R/S and such. It's a mistake, that's what I make of it, and if it comes from Yahoo Finance, I doubt it'll be fixed overnight.
I'd rather not see data than incorrect data, but it's been incorrect on Yahoo Finance for the last x time and we heard nothing then. Sure, the link is on the KAT Exploration site now, which it wasn't before, but let's not make this into the end of the company.
Let's evaluate the other sidez of the above - do we now have a new IR firm?
Thanks Pro, I've found one reference now to where he refers to 'more of these share distribution deals' which made me think that would be the way we'd go.
But as I conclude in that post as well is that they might have changed their mind. But anyway, I was just trying to explain where I was coming from, and I found a reference I based my thoughts on in one of the PR's as referenced in that post.
