Ive never looked into the restrictions on tobacco farming. But i know the more rules a goverment puts in play directly increases the price consumers pay. I still feel even with restrictions pot will be a lot cheaper 5 , 10 and 20 years from now. Then once pot finds its true price it will rise with inflation like all other crops.
It will cause a tempary shortage or at least it has in every other state that has legalized. This started because i said trtc missed the most profitable year per pound to grow weed in nevada. And Brair patch said they didn't but thats bull shit cause in every other state the price per pound sold has gone down every year and are still falling.

How legalization caused the price of marijuana to collapse

All the diverse effects of legalizing recreational marijuana may not be clear for a number of years, but one consequence has become evident almost immediately: Pot has never been so cheap.
Steven Davenport of the Pardee Rand Graduate School has analyzed marijuana retail prices in Washington state since legal recreational markets opened in July 2014. Remarkably, prices have fallen every single quarter since.
When Davenport spoke to me 18 months ago (Wonkblog coverage here), retail marijuana prices had already fallen a stunning 58.5 percent. Yet he predicted correctly that the price collapse was not complete. The current retail price of $7.38 per gram (including tax) represents a 67 percent decrease in just three years of the legalization, with more decline likely in the future.
Davenport expects the marijuana industry to continue to find ways to lower prices for the simple reason that it's a profitable business model. "Some consumers will prefer higher priced brands, but there will always be a market for the brand that can produce adequate quality cannabis at the cheapest cost," he notes.
The ongoing decline in marijuana's price after legalization has an important implication for drug policy more generally. The experience of Washington and other marijuana legalization statesdemonstrates how enormously effective prohibition of production and sale is at raising drug prices. For example heroin's price took a decade to fall by 16 percent, which the legalization of marijuana accomplished in just eight months. Notably, even high taxes on legal marijuana don't keep the legal price anywhere near what it was when the drug was more broadly illegal.
Prohibition imposes huge costs on drug producing industries that are passed on to consumers in the form of higher prices. These higher prices are one of the principal reasons (the others being stigma and fear of punishment) that illegal drugs are used so much less frequently than legal drugs such as alcohol and tobacco. Marijuana is a rare example where we can see the impact of legalizing a drug in real time, which shows that were the production and sale of heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine also legalized, those drugs would also become dramatically cheaper to consume
Also i dont care about tobacco farming. As anyone whos has read my post can tell im lacking in my writing skills. My secretary at $13.25 a hour has excellant writing skills. So what im saying is their is a master grower out there waiting to be hired in at six figures. Therefore the tobacco companie that just bought majority stack in two canadian pot companies just needs to know where thete flaws are a s hire a master grower to help.
All im saying is as legalization happens across the us the price of pot will drasticly decrease too. It will go up intially but then supply will increase at a more rapid pace then demand. Econ. 101. More supply then demand = prices fall untill more people buy up the supply. Also im well aware of gge candian trading ptice in comparisons to trtc we are only a few million behind a quater in revenue without cali rec numbers. So the reason us companies in my opnion have a better chance at hitting a 20 bagger is because if us legalizes medical and someday hopefully rec. Pot all.us companies should trade at higher multiples then our canadian neighbors.
So the reason im here is because i fell at the moment trtc is in my top 3 us pot companies. Im just waiting fof the political shift to happen so i can capitalize. Only time will tell if they stay on my list when that time occurs. And when it happens ill sell all my candaian holdings and spread it around my american picks. Even if i think the company or companies are garbage. Im playing human behaviors or peoples greed. I just want to be on board before thd masses. I understand im still standing on the dock for now. I understand that people invested today are all ready on the boat. Im just limiting my risks and will still make a boat load. History is a teacher so use the canadian market as a example at how much money can be best made without the feds. Right now everyone in trtc is chasing the two in the bush instead of focusing on the one in your hand. When the fed status drops ill be here all in on us pot stocks ill sell my gains and consolidate to the companies i feel are most liklly to succeed
If you grow your own product of course the first year of legal rec or legal medical is the most profitable per pound grown. Do you think pot prices go up or down as more supply comes on board?
In the event either NuLeaf Sparks or NuLeaf Reno does not receive approval from the State of Nevada for such conversion by May 1, 2018, the applicable Convertible Promissory Note will become due and payable in equal quarterly installments of principal and interest beginning on August 1, 2018. Each Convertible Promissory Note accrues interest at a rate of 6% per annum, payable quarterly. Neither Convertible Promissory Note may be prepaid without the prior written consent of the Company.
The way i read this is if they dont get approval in about 75 days then its a loan.
nuleaf must be thinking get approval in thirty days to own 50% of wait 80 days ish to own 100% at 6% loan to build out their project. (Might be illegal, i dont know) but if its legal......
As for dp's promises about the nevada build outs listen to the conference call 3rd quarter 2016 or 4 th quarter call. I dont havd time to figure out the call he talked about the nevada build outs but i remember what was said. Blaugh blaugh skating towrds wherd the puck is going to be. He said they where waiting to find out if rec. was a go then they would start the build outs to be ready for thd rec launch.
They took the week off. The mms told me every day working at trtc is a easy day

Will Canada's marijuana supply be ready for legalization?
Members of the unregulated pot industry say licensed medical growers will come up short

Concerns are being raised over the ability of Canada's licensed medical marijuana producers to supply enough cannabis for a legal recreational market. (Julie Gordon/Reuters)

Some people involved in Canada's unregulated cannabis industry say, unless something changes quickly, the supply of available pot come legalization next July, will be inadequate, and the black market will continue to thrive.
In British Columbia, Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth announced Monday the public would be consulted on some of the upcoming rules around marijuana in the province, including distribution, age and possession limits. But Farnworth noted the issue of supply, though critical to ending the black market, is in the hands of the federal government.
According to longtime activist and dispensary director Dana Larsen, the amount of quality marijuana available from licensed suppliers is far too low to meet current demands, not to mention the demands of a legal recreational market.
"The legally licensed producers, there's not enough of them. They're not growing enough cannabis. They're not allowed to produce half the products we sell in our dispensary, so they're inadequate to meet the demand that's out there," said Larsen, whose two dispensaries face routine fines and legal threats from the City of Vancouver.
"We purchase from the craft market or the black market or whatever you want to call it," he said.
Dozens of licences issued
There are now 59 federal licenses for growing medical marijuana in Canada, five of which belong to companies with two sites. Many of the growers aren't currently authorized to sell cannabis.
Ian Dawkins, president of the Cannabis Commerce Association of Canada, a trade association representing about 100 small and medium growers in the so-called "craft market," says the licensed growers are only supplying about five per cent of the current market — including the medical and black markets.
"If they're going to block the existing craft producers from getting licensed, where is this cannabis going to come from? The licensed producers are not equipped to increase their capacity that much, it's simply not feasible," said Dawkins.
According to Dawkins, if pot legalization rolls smaller producers into the system and relies on a Vancouver-style independent dispensary retail system, there shouldn't be any major issues on July 1, 2018.
'This is not a joke'
"You could, with very few additions, make everything quite safe and put it well in line with international norms from places like Colorado and California," he said. "If you're talking about what Ontario's proposing, there's not a chance [the provinces will] be prepared on day one."
"Cannabis is the third largest sector of our GDP by size. This is not a joke. If we screw this up, if Ontario screws this up, if the feds screw this up, [British Columbia] is hooped," said Dawkins. "This is not a small thing to get wrong. This is a massive part of our economy, whether you like it or not."
1st court date set for illegal Vancouver pot dispensariesOntario unveils pot plan, including online ordering, 150 stand-alone storesVancouver boosts fines for pot shops but defiant retailers still selling
Larsen agrees that, unless the new pot regime includes the current retailers and producers, it's going to be a very bumpy start next summer.
"Oh, I predict on July 2 and for several years to come, there'll be chaos and confusion and raids and court cases and dispensaries still struggling to continue serving people," he said
Im ok with that. The ceo is delivering and should make money for it.
So they missed the most profitable year to grow pot in nevada. What did they spend the money for those projects on? To copy and paste one paragraph only to prove your point . Copy and paste the whole PR so everyone can make there own assumptions of the NuLeaf deal. (Im not saying we wont end up with 50%. Im just saying its possible we wont. Its 50-50) Why would it be dum to have a grow faculity with phases? They could of built phase one to support medical pot and had phase to started the day nevada rec. date opening date was released. You have no clue how to run a successful company, leave important decisions to your boss. If building out early is so stupid why would all the candaian public and private and american private companies all ready built their grow opps?. Or building them as we speak in canada. Its not luck. Its about putting your self or company in postion to take advantage of the situation. Sitting 1.5 years after rec. Date was announced with a sand lot costing us money does nothing. Does any one know how long you can hold a licensen for with out usin
g it in nevada? In my state its 2 years. I will be putting five figures back into this company for a few flips over the next couple years. I hope it turns into a long term hold but as of right now its not. Management has not proven themselves. The only thing they have proved is that they can win license and loose money.
At least a 30 cent increase i would say $3.00 is alot more likely. Congress legalizing it would creat a feeding freenzy on all us pot stocks it will be epic.
When it comes to this companies cultivation efforts.. I will belive it when I see it. They have promised before and havent delivered. Read that loan on the nuleaf deal might just end up being a loan at less interest then we paid to get the money we loaned. Come the fxxk on we should have plants in the two locations we hold a permit on or at the bare minimum about completing construction.
In regards to cash flow. They had 1000 pounds from panter gap farms 1000 × 5000 retail pound price. (Estimate) 5 million right there alone. Thats only $11.17 a gram. At $20 a gram 8.9 million on that 1000 pounds. Then there is the cash from other operations too. I still don't see much upside to this company for the next 5-6 months though bit if nj decides to go rec. I will buy a month before launch date for a quick flip unless it is to close to the election run up on November
Its going to be after july first. That is my opnion though conservatives have to speak 20 or so and they havent even scheduled the speaking yet. Then if the bill gets changes it will go back to the house before signed into law. I was told that would take around 8 to 12 weeks. The prime minister said he would like to see it into law by july first though.
I agree. As soon as the bill gets approved for Rec. We will sky rocket.
No way. Only one player for alchool and one player from tabacco has moved into pot. May I ask what country the business they bought into operate at? Duh, its canada. Why might that be? Thats right its legal federally. There isnt a successful company that would consider a american pot company. If you had billions in assets would you do something federally illegal after jeff's speach?
No post on this after they go into the pot market
Your math is off. A kilo gram is 1000 grams so my math says full production at 8 dollars a gram is 2 billion +. Pretty unrealistic the price will still be 8 a gram. Though.
270,000 kg × 1000 = 270,000,000 grams
1 dollar a gram = 270 million
2 dollar a gram = 540 million
3 dollar gram = 810 million
4 dollar gram = 1,080,000.000
Why do you think they dropped all contracts to build green houses with the hopes that the first year of rec. Sales grams go for 12 to 20 dollars .
10 dollar grams 2.7 billion with a B
20 dollar grams 5.4 billion
Looking at stares like nevada and colorodo that went rec. How much was the weed per gram for a consumer to buy?
Over 10 per gram. It will be interesting what cali rec grams average price will be after year one.
Its not good for the rest of my portfolio. Just goes to show 2020 will be us pot companies best gains and you will only have to buy in by August of that year for the election run up. The more likly it is that trump will be defeated the more money im going to scatter to those companies.

If this goes below 6 again its a no brainer flip. Unless you feel you need to hold more in your core postion.
I will be out and back in by then 30 days untill ive held for 1 year. Im selling the news of rec. Then buying back in when after profit taking happens then holding long with hopefully at least 30% more shares then im holding now. But if i fell a correction wont happen after rec. news comes ill just hold. Any thoughts on this strategy. If rec goes july 1st that will leave time to get profit taking and back in before the november election run that will be food for all us stocks and candain ones will benifit from it too.
I think without jeff busting companies this year we hit a low of .22-.24 before we see a run to .40 with New Jersey legalizing and then anouther run to .50 in November with elections. Pros to holding it till november are laws might change and cause a mega run. Cons of holding untill November run are Feds might start busting state leagal companies. For me ill flip this a few times in between when I feel possible. Just my guess time will tell. I hold a small core positions less shares then i have of acbff but still a small core postion. All though some .18 like before cali rec would be a nice gift again.
I think they should change name to timber tech
What did u say to me a few days ago? Lmao BELIEVE IT. This stock will not be abpve .5 by october 1st. Keep your money in it i hope for u the Feds dont come a knockin
Time to buy. Im only up 85% now but feel this is a great entry to gain 20% by end of week.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/oregon-marijuana-cannabis-weed-production-overproduction-legalise-surplus-problem-legal-black-market-a8192611.html
Watch out below, i saw somewherre pot for $50 a pound in oregon, out door pot
Im buying more just trying to time it right. I fell like im in bit coin today
Glad i only have 1700 shares. Glad i sild 95 percent 8 minutes after seassions. I did buy and sell a gain for a few hundred loss. The time to buy is in 4 to 6 months the. Sell in November. Or when it hits .21
Its only a loss if u sell. Im holding strong but my knees shook a little yesterday. I still see 50.00 this year lol ya right but i think 20 to 30 with rec. Legal could happen.
I will admit i only opened 4 of the form 4s ... all sales. When u scroll though news on i hub i saw about 15 in 4 months. Thats alot more then the 20,000 from x employee. Defend tge company any way u can .
I agree the mj movememt is unstoppable. Im not saying we wont take a few steps back along the way. I just think legal weed is closer then ever
Why so many form 4's. Not invested in this yet but thinking about it. The only other company im in with form 4's like this is trtc and while im up minimum on trtc im still up not up like the companys that dont show a form 4 every other week
I got this on 3-10-17 at 44 cents a share with zero dd ... just luckey i bought bassed off of Cannainvestor magazines article. Bought $250.00 worth 600 shares. I was wondering if i should get more? What is the company doing? When will they have revenue? Do they have revenue?
I think its hillarius that peiple think clay brings their stocks down. You relate clay with a fall because he dosent show up until consolidation is needed. A stock gains 300 percent then clay shows up and it drops 50%. In the previous week did the business grow by 300% if not the a correction is needed and the fact that u see clays video is a coincidence
Trtc going no where fast. What will it take to make this run?
