I think you may be right. I am not even sure .013 is realistic. But I have been wrong so many times on this stock that I have given up on time-line guessing. I think the only question is WHEN?
FWIW I have been holding this and slowly acumulating since last April or May and I haven't sold any. I still expect it to go over $1.50 within the next year to 18 months. But that is just my opinion. I am more confident than ever before with the new CEO and recent developments. I am adding as I can, not rushing into it, but slowly building on my base and still feel confident that anything under .02 is a gift.
Take a picture of Masrch 2010. In a month we will be into two whole decimal places.
Even if the MMs try to hold this down today, they can't keep it down. Its on fire and what we are seeing now is just the fuse.
AWESOME NEWS!
You are too funny.
i know it is not really considerred international, but DF mentioned something to me about an installation in Quebec that he was actively looking at a few months ago.
Are they still doing TUESDAY UPDATES? If so, we may get a PBR report tomorrow/
Thanks Bank, I feel indebted to you for presenting the vision with so much grace and equanimity. Hats off to you. Patience is the game plan at this point.
I think the main point you and others are making is that we are banking (pardon the expression) on these being experienced and very astute players with a vision that has had to withstand the scrutiny of many very experienced and sceptical minds. This is not a group of enthusiastic greenhorns with penny stock ambitions trying to convince everybody's grandmother that the world needs a new wheel-mine. These are smart pros with long track records and international reputations at stake, who wouldn't touch a less than stong play with a twenty foot Hungarian, not to mention a ten foot pole.
Wish I could throw in some more at this point but, like many, am pretty maxxed out. Nonetheless, I feel almost giddy with confidence. Thanks again.
So, I am curious. Does this suggest that if, in their travels, BEHL scouts find some company that has developed a better extraction process, that they are going to consider shipping their unextracted biomass to the extractor? Or evaluate if indeed it would make sense to join forces with the extraction company and have them build an extractor at the Biocentric farm? Are we thinking JV? Or are we thinking purchasing technology? Or merger? Or might this be merely a fact-finding mission? Either way, I see it as a prudent move, which will keep BEHL both up-to-date and grounded in the reality of algae-to-fuel science. I just feel good, knowing that this is moving forward on solid management and a strong technological basis. Not to be redundant or silly but... GO BEHL!
Can someone explain what all this means? Doesn't this smell like serious buyback?
And isn't the logic that buyback means something like,
"Gentlemen, start your engines... buckle your seatbelts and fasten your helmets, we are now into final coundown... or something like that...?
Or is that just idle especulation?
I am new to this kind of development.
One day we will all just give up hope of news or announcements and then BAMMMMM!
Of course everyone knows that Sapphire has been Bill Gates' big algae play. They have enjoyed a robust R & D budget. To have a VP from Sapphire is a coup! Hats off to whomever got this to happen and GLTA. BEHL is sounding good again.
I hope people see the real altruism here and don't focus purely on the political and exposure advantages. I, for one, feel inspired and hope that others, particularly those in the millionaire clubs that Dean probably hangs out with, take notice and ante up as well. There is hardly a better cause, and it is great to be invested in something that is truly bound to do well by doing good.
This stock is heading north on sound values and good karma, despite the constant mantra of 'scam' being blasted at us by paid bashrrs. Scam artists rarely give millions of dollars to charities. Fortunately, some of us with a little more patience and seed money may join the ranks of the millionaire club one day based on this investment (IMHO).
There's the heavyweights and the Mega-Waits
I call it the Quasar Megawait. What if March brings no news? Then April? May? I am getting to the point where I feel like I just look at the computer screen and see that it is not happening today, AGAIN! And then its a week and a month and all my moola is tied up with this. HO HUM. If I were more of a heavyweight, I could probably afford to relax more.
But no matter how much money you have in this stock, the question is how many expressions of frustration and impatience can anyone read in a day and still find anything of substance being added to the conversation? Like all 'longs' I am trying to patiently make my moves, waiting, hoping, trusting and learning. We are all doing our best to just chill, knowing that all signs point to success. Still, it's not over until it's over and if, for some unforseen reason this deal doesn't go through, I hate to imagine the flow of neurotic wrath.
Meanwhile...
Q "What do you call the investor who waited too long for his penny stock deal to go through?"
A. A waiter.
Gee
I wonder why nobody thought of that before they made this deal and spent umpteen millions developing this technology? You must be some kind of super genius or something.
Seems like another sideways day, but green at least. I don't expect anything to shift into gear until the new CEO comes out of the closet and the PBR is hooked up. By this time next month you may have your .021. By end of summer, hopefully, we can move a decimal point
What, besides news of a JV, would be the best news thing to realistically hope might come out of the big Toronto meeting on the weekend?
If I had a thousand shares for every time someone has said "this is about to explode" I would be a very rich man. Nonetheless, It is about to blow- has to sooner or later and the time is not getting further away, only closer.
on another note- it loked to me like the mineseeker operates with a blimp, not a regular airplane. I know nothing about dirigibles, but assume they can land without an airport, per se. Not to say the only application will be a blimp, but that is what it looks like they use on their website.
It is like gambling, except that there is the illusion of a more informed choice. But the rush is probably the same. I work in mental health and am trying to keep some of my clients from buying lottery tickets, but feel like I am hypocritical when I look at this board every day.
That said, I think it makes more sense to put money into BEHL than in a savings account paying 1.5% interest. If nothing else, it is contributing to the advancement of green energy reseach and if it inches forward a decimal point or two, I will be feeling a lot more positive.
Well stated, twister.
Any possibility that QASP is a scam is clearly negated for all the reasons you outline, among others, if anyone is interested in doing even cursory DD.
Yet the deal ain't done til the fat lady sings.
Everyone has their stethascopes pressed to the boardroom walls and we are all circling like vultures. Stressful times in the wings. Will QASP fly or will these deals die?
Again, a test of patience can separate the true longs from the faint-at-hearts. I know I feel anxious but I can only imagine how much patience Dean has had to muster at this point. That's why they call penny stocks high risk- No heightenned pain, no monumental gains!
I am feeling the pain of a lot of investors and skittishness spreads through the whole atmosphere of people's lives. My advice-
take a deep breath, don't panic, and watch your own mind.
I do not believe that Dean has been the party holding this for ransom, but that some lawyers are putting their kids through some expensive schools on the deal.
I am glad to hear a voice (or two) of sanity in the midst of the panic calls. I am a little despondent tho, because I just spent my last bit of liquidity earlier in the day at .015. I am sure my tears will dry once it bounces.
The image in my mind is that of a tsunami. Before the swell happens the tide goes out very far exposing reefs and terrain that has never been dry. Crabs and lobsters all get exposed and it is apparently very eerie. The wise know to run for the hills. The foolish start complaining at how low the tide is. Then it comes in and in and in and everything is washed away.
I hope this is that kind of low and means the great flood is nigh. But even if it isn't the bottom, so what? I don't expect to sell any of my meager 300K shares before the middle of next year or so, and I expect that by then, these days will be a lesson learned. I hope that means I will be able to pay two college tuitions.
Everyone is free to think what they want. Emotions do not tend to be great finacial advisors in my case, but maybe you know something I don't. If you leave at this point, well, good luck.
No advice implied here.
I am not convinced you can seive nutritional algae with a tee shirt, but if you did, forget wearing that shirt for awhile!
As this gets bigger and bigger one would assume that more and more of the day to day duties of operation will be delgated. It seems too much to ask of Dean alone to be negotiating for 9 aqui's and trying to have serious input on everything from what materials to build pontoons with to writing PRs. I am curious as to any news on who is filling out his team and what the heirarchical structure might look like. Particularly if there are any new hires in the upper echalons.
PLEASE take pictures and post them!
It seems like things are still moving slightly sideways, no great drops and no great rises. If it was not for the bashers on this board, we would all be reciting the same mantra... 'Any day now, any day now, any day now."
So despite their ridiculous rants about scams, false assumptions and bad math, they are serving a purpose- to entertain us longs while we wait for the inevitable. Any day now.
good news, reasonable volume, unclear why this hasn't shot higher. just a matter of time.
I spoke to Dennis on the phone last week. He didn't say much about the shareholder's meeting but that was not the topic of our conversation. We did speak about a PBR instalation he is getting involved with north of Quebec City, and in general about cold weather applications of BEHL technology, because that was basically what I was asking about.
I mentioned something casually about my concerns re investing in this company in terms of seeing real gains in the not-too-distant future, and his response was an unhesitating "Don't worry! you will make money!" (not an exact quote, but the implication was he was very confident that we ain't seen nothing yet!).
On the whole, I look at the daily flurry of negative iHub chatter and I don't get too concerned. The basics at BEHL remain strong. Mr. Fisher is focussed on making money and has a pretty clear game plan. He knows his field and he knows the market. Algae has a big future and there is lots of room for BEHL to thrive. My sense is that the spring and summer of this year are going to be very potent and productive times for BEHL and despite uncertain economic times for the whole nation and the world, this is an area where growth is inevitable.
I have no idea what will come out of the meeting tomorrow, but I am sure of one thing: someone is sure to find fault with whatever is stated. If he says they are on track to having a PBR up and operational in Santa Ana by next week, someone will find fault because that is too vague. If he outlines the 150 acre deal in great detail, someone will say he's not playing his cards close enough to his chest to be a real player.
Such is life in the realm of armchair quarterbacks.
My sense is that this is a start-up company that has been through a pretty steep learning curve, but still is excited about what they are doing and still has the goods. This is all my own opinion of course, and I don't give advice on investments. Do your own DD and keep a clear mind. GLTA.
Whatever the close today, it is almost irrelevant. There is so much that is going to shift into gear when the samples come back and the drilling starts that a point here or there today is going to be a distant memory of the good old days when the stock was still under a dollar. Tody'a prices are hardly gemaine to the bigger picture in my opinion, excvept that they are a bargain.
I don't want to be labelled a pumper or a basher, but when there is so much solid DD, and general goodwill, it is not easy to be too negative or suspicious. My family has roots in maritime Canada and people there are good folks known for being thrifty and conscientious. Ken and his family seem to be good examples of such genuine, hardworking and reasonable types.
Newfoundland is a unique place, and it looks like this particular section of terrain is potent with riches. I only hope the local economy is appropriately benefitted when the big payloads start to roll.
Gummy I completely agree. But once it is announced that a new functional PBR is up and running and we see pictures of a proud DF stroking his new baby, this will sail. Unil then don't expect much to change, IMHO
Inching up a little each day for the last few days. Hmmm. The calm before the storm I hope.
Thanks BANKER for your post. Where is the Crimestopper's party?
I would be happy to know, so if there is a way to email without involving the whole board , let me know. Thanks
R2G2
Hope you feel better soon Bank, your sage perspective holds weight.
I just got a little cash cleared and hope to buy some more today as well.
Why does this always happen just when I have no money?
Boy, a lot of hot air flowing around today. I can see why people are impatient to see the PBR up and running, but if you think you are impatient, imagine how Dennis must feel? I trust the gang in Santa Ana are doing everything they can to get this moving forward and that there is nothing of great severity obstructing their progress, save a blizzard and suppliers. I mean its snowing all over the place, flights are cancelled, trucks aren't moving, the sky is falling and BEHL is treading water.
Time to get a grip. If you are not tired of waiting for BEHL to burst into profitibility, you haven't been here very long. If you have to bark at someone, knock yourself out. The fact is, we'll hear news as soon as they are ready to share it. And one day, just when we think everything can't get any worse, we will look at our screen and see BEHL at .07 and rising and go 'Holy stockmarket, Batman! This is for real!"
In the meantime, do whatever suits your strategy and don't expect the rest of us to agree or disagree. Best of luck!
I think most members of this board genuinely appreciate your insights, BANKER. I would like to add that I felt a whole lot better today not just because there is a big piece of the puzzle coming into focus, but because the mission of Minesweeper is so needed and so good for the planet.
The fact that this is going to make us longs some serious money over the next 2 years is awesome, but the fact that we will be doing well by doing good makes it all the more satisfying. I feel so much better today than I did yesterday! AH!
I eagerly await further such delights over the next couple of weeks and months.
May I ask an innocent and naive question?
What are the pros and cons of buying gold bullion versus buying stocks in a gold mining company like katx?
Good luck Sutra. You are not alone in your faith. I hope you can hold out until this rocket takes off, and then a little longer.
I had a girlfriend who threw a lot of her money into this just as it was creeping up to .14 back in the summer. Ouch. I felt bad for turning her on to it, but I still think it will go well higher than that again.
If you don't keep your hook wet, by summer this will be the one that got away, Big Time! But in the meantime, patience furthers, and I hope your child is getting fed.
I don't think of myself as a pumper nor a basher but just a novice with a couple of honest questions if anyone can help me with them.
1. The identity of the 2 acquisitons- what do people think the hold-up is all about? I know there are strong opinions all based on impatience and I am impatient too, but really, what is the logic of why they have been kept secret for over 2 weeks?
2. There was some reference to a confernce call or something on a few posts yesterday, I believe. When was that and is there any transcipt or recording?
This talk of a reverse split is also interesting, but where did it originate? Is it mere speculation or does someone have something definitive? I would not be opposed to one, in fact I can see the logic of one in terms of moving into a higher market and out of the pinks, among other things, but my question is- Is this truly being discussed by QASP or just Ihubbers?
Clearly one of Dean's virtues is patience. If we are this impatient to see these deals announced, imagine what he must be going through. My ticket says train B.
