SPAL .23 X .25 Dang! now .24 X .26 400k VOL
SPAL- Geez Steve, going faster than I can type...
SPAL .21 X .22 Oops now .21 X 23 VOL-312000
ARKN: .50- Spread is a killer .40 X .50 and someone actually bought 900 shares @ .50 when the original Ask was .45?????
This statement really demonstrates Dr. Frudakis's vision:
"...we were comprised of young, very bright scientists who think innovation, not old school. Our founding group was comprised of a group of scientists and not a group of business people and we got the business expertise after the fact."
Develop the "idea" so that nothing interferes with the vision- work the plan/vision- implement the business aspect AFTER the fact. Dr. Frudakis- you gotta love the Maverick in him! :)
Theo
SlopsterSlasher,
I'm not sure we can read into that statement that DNAP will produce its OWN drug but rather as it states:
This does not account for deals that help us become a pharmaceutical company, and if we acquire a pipeline with advanced candidates,..."
That says to me that DNAP wouldn't itself become the drug company, but, partner/merger/other business arrangement/etc.,. On the other hand, you could be proved correct. Who among us three years ago saw Ancestry or could've predicted the forensics strides we have made? Shtufff happens!
Either way, your point is well taken- potato patoto ;)
Theo
Walter,
"WHY is the price faultering today after so much encouraging information."
Because the rise in PPS this week {as in every other time-frame prior to a conference/meeting/etc.,} was due solely to speculators {traders} taking positions in anticipation of a potential "break-out". Obviously there was no formal announcement of such a producing event even though we longs are well aware of the ramifications of what WAS said. Once they (traders) bail, I think you/we will see steady buying pressure over time from actual investors- until such time a PR or some other catalyst confirms what we all know will eventually take place- then all trading hades takes place.:) JMO
Thanks to all who posted from the conference! Nice find too Mahastock :)
Theo P.S. PPS is rebounding even over lunch. .076 X .077
Thanks bag8ger- Looking forward to hearing the gist of his talk. Theo
Thanks WTP, I knew some sort of arrangement had been made, but, not the details. Theo
(anyone) We do have a few of our own "people" (from iHub and RB) attending the conference right now don't we?
Theo
ARKN continues to build steam {Vol 233000:: .42 X .46}
deepsea104, Nope, I think you are in at a good price IMO.
Theo
Yep, and it looks like a 100K block at that. Probably happened near the close and had to be "pieced" together, ie., couple of smaller swaps to make the block an even 100K and then crossed out of sequence hence the time of 1602. Hey, JMO :)
Theo
ARKN Nice call steve. I got in late (.17), but, it just continues to creep (.33 X .38). Financials substantiate higher valuations IMO- that's why I stayed with it.
Theo
Wow! Can they really do that???? I wonder what company has the capability to perform that function???
07up, Thanks for the link! Nope, I took my link right from the Edgar email filing alert I'm set up for and it came up blank 'cept for names- never done that before and I've had it for at least three years now....? Oh well.
Theo
Partnerships eh? ;)
Edgar shows no values/figures given- just the form??
Frudakis Tony N

Saeternes,
Haven't seen you for awhile- welcome :)
"...other than for medical reasons should it make any difference to her?... they may be able to radically alter social experience by imparting a biological racial identity early on."
On the other hand, it may perhaps render "racial identity" as trival to the point of insignificance once the population begins to realize that their "blood line" isn't as pure as they originally thought thus diluting the "social experience and self-conception". Just a thought :)
Somewhat of a dichotomy eh?
Theo
ARKN- starting to move again .28 X 34 ;)
That's pretty cool 2yrs2retire. Wonder who has been doing the searching?
Oops I meant ARKN
AKRN: Holy schumolly is that correct? Last Trade .30??
Action so far is not hinting at a PR anytime soon... Guess we wait to see if Dr. F is able to stoke our unrelenting anticipation. :)

Intro: DNAPrint, a world leader in the measurement of population structure for disease genetics, personalized medicine and forensics profiling, has been awarded part of a two year grant worth $200,000 to study population genetic links between cervical disease and Environmental Tobacco Smoke.
The award was made by the Flight Attendants Medical Research Institute (FAMRI), which was established as part of the $300 million tobacco settlement finalized in 1997. The grant, titled "Genetic Susceptibility to Cervical Cancer in Second Hand Smokers", was written in collaboration with the University of Miami School of Medicine to mirror a study DNAPrint and the University of Miami executed last year. That study was successful in identifying genetic markers of variable first-line response to paclitaxel/carboplatin chemotherapy, and led to the development of Ovanaome, the company's first chemopredictive product. The ultimate objective of the funded work is genomics-empowered disease prevention.
Welcome Ice :)
DNAPrint genomics, Inc. (OTCBB:DNAP - news) announced today that it has entered into a contract with Pharsight Corp. Under the terms of the agreement, Pharsight will supply DNAPrint with clinically phenotyped specimens from patients taking a variety of variably efficacious medications. Additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

One can only hope...
Twelks,
Many of them to be sure. However, the company has already acknowledged that they have been involved with "several other" cases- even prior to the Baton Rouge case if I'm not mistaken. What those other cases are they didn't elaborate.
Theo
Nice job ifida:) As someone (?Chris) earlier posted this weekend, maybe Scott (Mickey aka Earsoup) will prove to have been prophetic after all is said and done... ;)
Theo
vision2b,
I'm more inclined to believe that the "...proposed one BILLION dollars over five years to reduce backlog of untested rape kits." is geared more to the current backlog of cases of matching or attempting to cross-match DNA samples with known or suspected individuals. DNAP's forte and prowess (with DNAWitness) is or will be its success in predicting identifying criteria in garnering these suspects to begin with. Will be especially helpful in cases where the suspect's DNA is NOT already in a DNA database. That's not to say that we (DNAP) won't or couldn't benefit from additional funds- especially form the Gov't, but, DNAP's science is so "cutting edge", I wouldn't be surprised that the Gov't is still not even aware that it exists... Therein lies the rub. We need exposure (i.e., more cases solved like Baton Rouge) to get us on "radars" IMO. Hopefully Dr.Frudakis is going to enlighten a few of those folks at the end of the month! :):) Of course, it wouldn't hurt if a few other unrelated projects came to life as well...
Theo
Twelks,
I didn't realize that FORM 4s had been filed confirming sales of the April 144 filings. Thanks for bringing me up to speed. Tends to shoot down my hypothesis that Dr.F was just keeping his options open and current by re-filing every 90 days...
Anyway, I do know he is restricted in how many shares he can sell in a given quarter (90 day) based on a percentage of his holdings. What the percentage amounts to dollar-wise, I do not know.
Theo
And, if you'll notice, Dr. Frudakis filed in April (approx 90 days prior to this last filing which confirms the 90 day limit rule) for approx the same amt of shares. Leads me to think that he is just keeping his options open in the off-chance (wink-wink) that say a big catalyst should happen our way sometime soon?... :) jmo
Theo
Ahhhaaaaaaa, pizza bet for a PR on the 19th eh?, but, WHICH month are you referring to Stocky? :)
Theo
Keep your eyes open on this one. Could be another "play" in the making...
Theo
Joy, I didn't mean to sound like I was "rubbing it in" that I got my order in, just that I was really surprised that I had to raise my offer that early in the day. I was sure that the first 1/2 hour of trading would be like typical clock-work for the past week- steady selling pressure with the s/p steadily eroding as the day wore on. Not so. Started climbing from the get-go which caught me by surprise.
I don't know how long the Ask remained at 0.06 so I can't comment on your particular case but I would be just as skeptical were I you...
Theo
Joy, if it's any solace to you, I was one of those "orders ahead of yours" that got filled @ 0.06. I did, however, try at 09:40 (when the Bid and Ask were 0.057/0.058 to place the order for 0.059 and by the time I was ready to "send" the Ask jumped to 0.06. I didn't even hesitate- I replaced it for 0.06 (which filled) thankfully. I too am stumped as to why we didn't drift lower as was the case all week especially being EOW. Not complaining mind you, just curious and somewhat pleased.
Theo Something HAS to be near release imo...
mahastock,
I think your assumption is correct in that there are many buyers "waiting in the wings" below six (6) cents. I know for a fact of two investors (one who is brand new holding an initial position @ 8 cents) who are waiting for dips below (6). Even my buy finger is reeeal itchy.... tomorrow will probably be a "round out my position" buy sometime during the day. Problem is, trying to squeeze for the best possible price could quite conceivably bite me in the glutes if I insist on playing "pig" as DNAP has already proved to have product AND revenue. Granted, the last we heard was nothing to write home about (concerning revenue), however, my fear is that DNAP could bust out any time and catch me with my proverbial pants down. Yes, it is a terrible image even to me lol! Anyway, I know I'll be buying from here on out so I know there are others who are thinking/doing the same.
"Several forensics conferences" Zack said?...emmmmmm I love the sound of that. You couple that with what Tony stated to Chris: "In anticipation of the need for a more professional and higher capacity IR service, we have embarked on a process of upgrading the structure of our Investor Relations system." and add what Doug posted that Dr. F posted from RootsWeb:"Ann, yes thats correct and Ancestrybydna 3.0 would need to be a DNA chip based product. Tony." and I think you will agree that it certainly appears that DNAP is anticipating future if not already imminent growth. I'm looking forward to the 2nd "Q" numbers even more anxiously now.
Yep, my anticipation as well as curiosity grows...
