Toolmaker and Daytona,
Hi guys! And THANKS! I only try to post what is from the heart. I wish I had a crystal ball, but since I don't, I will simply have to continue to rely on my "gut feelin'"
Thanks AGAIN!
Elou, your post has prompted me to write Ramsey Sweis and ask that very question. I'll let you know his response.
Tarado, although I agree that the new management is attempting to become more fiduciarily responsible, I honestly do not feel that what what Doug Haffer did achieve for the company in such a short time is anything to sneeze at either.
Unfortunately, I believe that Doug is more a victim of the downturn in venture capital in anything "internet" in the last twelve months.
I am reading many articles whereby CEO's are resigning, likely for the same reasons.
Keep in mind also, that Mr. Haffer is still actively pursuing Public Funding for WLGS.
Here's to brighter days ahead for us all.
Thanks for the compliment.
My conversation with Ramsey Sweis....
Regarding Argentina Revenues....Ramsey said that there are no 'third party services' revenues any longer (not sure what that meant). He said that he spent six months in Argentina getting ready to rollout service and that he would hate to see WLGS not meet the government deadline of 120 days.
As Chirur has stated it is clear that there remains a drastic need for further funding and Ramsey eluded that they were diligently continuing to pursue that.
We discussed today's approval by the SEC for the sale of shares regarding the Equity Funding via Union Atlantic.
Ramsey clarified that any drawdowns taken on this funding would first have to have the debenture holders' approval that the drawdown can be used for other purposes than to pay down the bonds.
If the bondholders allow, the funds then need to be used to pay the backlog of 'Corporate Money Burn' first, apparently (to me) making it difficult to have any money available for rollout in Argentina, India, Thailand, etc.
We spoke of India and Thailand and he clarified that those countries are still anxious to rollout and they are just as frustrated as we as investors are.
I asked about the rumored merger potential to which he said he could not comment.
He sounded upbeat, focused and confident, which to me is a good sign.
Sadly, yet clearly, the financial woes are not over after all. All that we can hope for is that investors become willing to bid the price higher so that any drawdowns on the equity funding will be more beneficial to us all.
Perhaps we shall see a sale of preferred shares in the near future. (my speculation)
I wanted to ask about progress in Peru, but Ramsey had another call coming in. He welcomed me to call him anytime. I will likely call him again in the near future.
Chris, as promised last night in chat, here is the link to the older Press Releases for WLGS.
The Brazil Press Release was on January 24th, 2000.
Hope this helps.

I just phoned WLGS.
I asked to speak to Jack Cutter. I was told they are all in a meeting at this time. Will try again later today.
SPECIAL...to Chris....
Thanks for joining the Chat Session tonight.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Competitor Profile....XO Communications (XOXO)
XO is a company that appears to be what WLGS aspires to ultimately become. However, even with sales last quarter of $277MM, even XO is weathering the market downturn both domestically and globally. They have decided to not light their European Service yet and focus only domestically. XO needs $1BB to forge ahead with their Business Plan of coverage in 62 to 64 US Cities. They are the largest holder of LMDS Spectrum in the United States. They have $1.9BB in cash and plan to spend $1.3BB on infrastructure this year alone. Projected revenues for 2001 are also $1.3BB and for 2002 are $2.0BB. XO recently received $250MM in additional funding.
XO has had two 2 for 1 stock splits in it's short history. All time trading high was over $65 per share AFTER the first stock split!
All that, and they closed Friday at 2.96 per share!
52 week HI.....$47.06
52 week LO.....$ 2.40
XO is scaling back rollout of five US cities this year to only two....Minneapolis and Cincinnati.
I see this as strong evidence that WLGS is not alone in the miserable condition of the Telecommunication Industry.

More research to follow.
See you all in chat tonight, I hope.
Jakeefe....thanks.....
Here is the link to the entire list of all companies in Sector 4813. (There are approximately 400!)
http://www.freeedgar.com/search/CompanyList.asp?UseFrame=1&SICCode=4813
As I stated the 30 that I picked last night were totally at random. I looked at all 30 and found that they were all down except for one company.
PCSA is UP for the last year.
Beyond that....
WRDP -10%
CTCO -25%
ALSK -35%
The other 25 are DOWN 50% or more.
I am just beginning this research project. I agree that ANY companies not offering TRUE High Speed Internet Access will be left out of research.
Today I plan to look at the companies I showed on the link last night and try to determine if they profile like WLGS and thereby help to point out that the low price performance is solely SECTOR specific to High Speed Internet Access via MMDS.
A new look at things!
Having tired of reading the same old posts on Raging Bull, I have decided to embark on a purely raw data study of Worldwide Wireless Communication, Inc. and it's competitors....
On FreeEdgar.com WLGS is listed as Sector Industry Code 4813. A 'quick scan' of companies that list under Sector Code 4813 brought up 21 pages of Competitors in the same business listing as WLGS.
Seeing Similarities yet Seeking Differences
Tonight, I VERY RANDOMLY chose 30 Companies that are in the same Sector of Business as WLGS is.
My 'quick take' is that the entire Sector has been experiencing the same Investor share price 'dilution' over the last year that WLGS has.
Some have faired better than others, and I will critique them in detail here in future posts.
For tonight, I want to show a chart of just a FEW of the WLGS Competitors that seem to be suffering the same loss of share price over the last year that WLGS has suffered.
Before you visit the link I am supplying here, I ask that everyone here be willing to keep an open mind. What I am embarking upon may become a timely and tiring exercise for both myself as well as anyone who chooses to follow my research and contribute commentary to it.
As we pinpoint Competitor Companies, it is obvious that many factors will have to be considered. How new the Competitor is, how factually 'related' the competitor is to what WLGS is trying to achieve specifically, as well as other factors we will have to determine together over the course of this research.
Why am I doing this?
As most of you know, I have a strong belief in not only the future of the Internet, but specifically the future of Broadband Internet Access. Who knows...perhaps through this 'exercise' we might all very well identify Companies with even greater potential than WLGS has offered to us as investors.
That doesn't seem like such a bad road for us all to travel down together now, does it??
Of course, my initial scan of Competitor's of WLGS shows some Companies that are doing far better than WLGS over the last year. However, with the incessant bashing of WLGS that we have all had to endure, I thought it appropriate that the first link I share would show the Competitor Companies that are seeming to 'struggle' in much the same fashion that WLGS has over the last twelve months.
I hope that others that share a long term view will take the time to join my 'new crusade', and look at this investment in this industry as a one of strategy, learning, failing, and ultimate success.
Now...the ugly picture...
Here's the first chart that I offer to you. A few Competitors of WLGS that are 'in the same boat'...
http://quote.fool.com/chart/chart.asp?time=8&uf=0&compidx=aaaaa%7E0&freq=1dy&maval=0...
More to follow....
Tarado, thanks for joining us here.
I continue to hope that other longs will post here more often.
Toxic bond divisors and constant rehashing of the history of the company are becoming quite boring over on the RB board.
WLGS LIVES!

Matt, Crookk, just how DOES ONE become a GSP (Gold Star Poster) ???
Dave
Matt,
Are you working on this idea at all? The HILLS of SHAME one?
I too think it is excellent and it would certainly be a 'one up' over Raging Bull!
The problem with Raging Bull's $$$$ system is that even a deleted poster can appear to be well liked because people member mark that poster just so they can follow that posters most recent ridiculous posts!
The Hills of Shame Concept is WONDERFUL...please proceed with it!
As always,
Dave
Matt,
Other than the following commands, which commands can be used in the IBOX box?
[ b ]
[ i ]
[ u ]
[ pre ]
Is this a text ONLY box? And why?
I'd like to use HTML commands such as
<a href>
<img src>
Any plans to add these if there isn't another command I can use?
As always,
Dave
Matt, regarding IH being out of Beta...
"IH is now out of BETA! Please update your bookmarks to http://.....
I think it would be good to show this message on the HomePage of IHub and to send it out to ALL Members via email!
About the latest Log In Problem, perhaps it is just taking the server tooo long to allow postings after Logging In. I just noticed that after being on the site about five minutes, I could then post with no problems at all. Thought you'd like to know.
Have a great weekend.
The Value of Washington !!!
At LAST, I've seen humor that mixes politics and religion quite well, IMHO!)
Just in case you're wondering why things are the way they are.....
Once upon a time in the Kingdom of Heaven, God was missing for six days Eventually, Michael, the archangel found him, resting on the seventh
day.
He inquired of God, "Where have you been?"
God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds, "Look, Michael, look what I've made."
Archangel Michael looked puzzled and said, "What is it?"
"It's a planet," replied God," and I've put Life on it. I'm going to call it Earth and it's going to be a great place of balance."
"Balance?", inquired Michael, still confused.
God explained, pointing to different parts of earth, "For example, northern Europe will be a place of great opportunity and wealth while
southern Europe is going to be poor; the Middle East over there will be a hot spot. Over there I've placed a continent of white people and
over
there is a continent of black people," God continued, pointing to different countries. "This one will be extremely hot and arid while
this one will be very cold and covered in ice."
The Archangel, impressed by God's work, then pointed to a large land mass and said, "What's that one?"
"Ah," said God. "That's Maryland, the most glorious place on earth. There are beautiful rivers and a bay, green fields, sunsets, and rolling hills. The people from Maryland are going to be modest, intelligent, and humorous and they are going to be found traveling the world. They will
be
extremely sociable, hardworking, and high-achieving, and they will be known throughout the world as diplomats and carriers of peace."
Michael gasped in wonder and admiration but then proclaimed, "What about balance, God? You said there would be balance!"
God replied wisely, "Wait until you see the idiots I'm putting next to them in Washington, DC."
I wish that I could Log In, and have the system keep my logged in, so I could post.
I suspect that usership of Ihub would rise dramatically if this bug were fixed.
Jim, I have to work, elst I'd be there!
Apparently, this poster was on the PI board?
I don't see any messages deleted on this thread.
Umm....excuse me, but which poster are we talking about that admits to beating his wife and being otherwise beligerent here (to put it mildly!)
Please let me know which character this is that I should be alert to in the future.
Thanks.
OBSERVATORY???????
You musta meant OBSERVANT???
Elst I'm a dunce.
Well, how very observatory of you!
(Hope you are learning my JESTER attitude here. If not, you might '911' yourself! LOL!)
smart_sassy....
I have to agree with Matt (I'll let you decide if he is fat or not <g>) - the brackets are easier because you do not need to shift. The only problem is remembering what board I am on so I know whether to [] or <>.
"I HATE IT WHEN I DON'T HAVE TO "SHIFT"!
(It messes up the dance step, ya know?)
I'll try to get used to it though.
<VBG> .......back at 'ya!
DennisKY,
They we're write! Your a jerk.
Did I articulate effectively here?
Ya'll don have a half a clue as ta what I was meaning to say now, do ya?
Lighten up dude. This isn't MENSA INTERNATIONAL!
<G>
Except? Accept?
Is anyone analyzing my grammar?
Both words fit the context.
<G>
Meme, .......sorry I ventured here?
Fatt Matt,
I just checked out the Home Page here at Investors' Hub....I didn't see any link to a Latest Post List.
Am I some sort of "New Celebrity"?
You GOTTA ADMIT, my newfound dexterity at properly using BOLD, italics, and UNDERLINING has rapidly improved, but GOSH,........to be included on a Latest Post Link that even I cannot find sadly leaves me anticlimatic, even at the same time that I except the award bestowed.
dpb5
"Where the heck's that blasted link?"
HEY Fatt Matt...
How does one FIND the "Latest Post" list?
MATT!!! What do you do, hang out here? LOL!
Nice to chat with ya again. We haven't chatted for quite some time!
You're absolutely right. When in ROME, do as the Romans! (but....do I HAVE to wear those "Funny Skirt Like Outfits?")
Godspeed.
DennisKy, just an observation...
It isn't always so important that one shows their intelligence as it is to treat a fellow human being with common courtesy.
Not every human being on this planet has a full grasp of the command that words, their spelling, and their INTENT, may convey.
Puncuation, Spelling, and Articulation should be held in the very lightest of context by all who wish to converse the very complexities of life.
Of course, as always, this in my own VERY VERY HUMBLE OPINION.
dpb5
"MAN! Didja see what that dude said a bit back?"
(All in full respect, DennisKy!)
Attention Fatt Matt....
Why is it that most all other boards allow the use of BOLDING, Italics, and UNDERLING using the standard HTML <> tags, yet here a poster must remember to bracket these attributes otherwise, with a [...] format?
Fatt Matt, is this the destiny of the future, or just some twisted way to get ppl to BOLD THEIR STATEMENTS in some heretofore unpopular and unknown format ???
There OUGHTA BE A LAW!
<G>
smart_sassy....
No, it wasn't that - I was just curious if you posted on the Politically Incorrect message board. You seem to have a good sense of humor and I was wondering if you might be using a different name. BTW - what is "raging bull"?
I have never posted on the Politically Incorrect message board. I do INDEED have a Good Sense of Humor. Without HUMOR, absolutely nobody would even BEGIN to understand Jim Carey! <G>
Raging Bull is a Stock Investors' Forum. One of the biggest on the Internet. Check it out at..

You're most welcome - out of curiosity - how did you find this board? Please tell your friends about us.
I found out about this board from my very good old friend on the Internet, MEME! (Thanks again Meme). Although she originally intended for me to find her on the Politically Incorrect Message Board you mentioned earlier, I sorta stumbled across her her on this board, being that I am the Chairman of the WLGS Board here at Investors' Hub.
Bring my friends to this board, you ask? Now that is quite intriquing as a request. One of two things might potentially happen if I decide to follow your request....
1). They'd potentially call me crazy for asking them here.
2). They'd enjoy themselves SO MUCH watching the diatribe here that they'd ultimately deny ever having known me in the first place.
Decisions...decisions.
SIDENOTE: I suspect that this board is very like any other on the Internet....each poster trying to learn the "inner workings" of the 'other posters'.
I hope that all that have read my posts so far have noticed that I am carrying this VERY HUGE 5' x 10' WHITE FLAG, emblazoned with the BLOOD RED WORDS....
MEA CULPA! MEA CULPA!
Neuromancer, and what of Vegetable Rights?
Surely, most would conclude that vegetables are good for humans, but has anyone ever once even asked any given vegetable whether humans are good for vegetables?
<G>
smart_sassy, sorry for the delayed response.
Not sure if you already know me or not.
I post as dpb5 on Raging Bull and the now mostly defuct go.com message boards.
Is there some certain posters' nic that I remind you of?
Thanks for that hearty welcome.
Meme, on Fortyseventh thought, perhaps THIS is the "GOD SPOT" of which you spoke?
http://www.mindpower.com/inkstains/13.htm
Meme....seems to me you've NO DOUBT seen the movie "THE BICENTENNIAL MAN" with Robin Williams?
Pat34lee..thanks for the WELCOME!
I hope to find a lot of healthy discussion here.
"Truth is learning and learning is Truth!"
Dare I interject?
Hello again. Being new here, and not knowing all the posters yet, I will tread lightly.
I have only read the last twenty or so posts, and am not sure if I have the 'intellectual debate skills' to participate, but I'd like to give it a try...
Firstly, it's interesting that this current discussion is about the two very largest 'taboos' in this society. Never talk about RELIGION OR POLITICS!
(Egads, here is a board talking about BOTH...all at the same time.)
Allow me to throw my 'persective hat' into the ring.
The gist of what I have read tonight is whether Public Schools should allow prayer (or at least DISCUSSION of religious questions in class, to the best I can currently discern.)
Being old enough to understand the history of 'Religion' in the United States School System, having lived through the 'Christian Prayer' as part of the Morning Ritual at Grade School, and the impact in my mind regarding it, I hold many thoughts about the subject. However, whether one takes one side or the other on this very issue is largely a moot point, IMHO.
There is a specificity to the United States Constitution that demanded the seperation of Church and State. To me, that means that what the 'STATE' offers to the citizens should in no way include religion. A simple thought, yet potent as it relates to the 'intent' of our forefathers.
Much like "FREEDOM OF SPEECH", "FREEDOM OF RELIGION" was one of the very building blocks of this Great United States. Although the founding fathers intended to be true to the word of the intent, it is my opinion that the ensuing decades since 'Independence' did indeed allow a convoluting of the original intent of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
"SOCIETY", in and of itself, is a strange creature. We all tend to 'do' what we are 'taught'. It's a Human Instinct, yet we fail to be taught the very premise our founding fathers attempted to teach us all.
The lesson was very simple. It is we who have made it a complex issue. Our forefathers adapted this stance of seperation of Church and State specifically to attempt to avoid the current discussion that I read on this board tonight.
As I read from a poster here, the words are true...
'We hold these truths to be SELF EVIDENT. That all men are created EQUAL.'
Summarily, the religious beliefs of an individual are not of a political nature in ANY stretch of the 'TRUTH'. All of us, yes .....YOU, are a 'man' created equal in the eyes of the government of the United States. Your religion or your VERY RELIGIOUS BELIEFS hold no viability as it relates to the totallity of the freedoms that were defined by our forefathers.
The premise IS the FREEDOM. There is no point in debating who is right or wrong here.
Thanks for letting me post my views. As I suspect, let the compliments and arguments begin.
Godspeed.
Meme, I just found the link on my own...

Hello ALL!
I have a unique curiosity in the content of this board.
Can I join in?
Let me just take a bit to get caught up on current conversations here. I'll be back after.
