Wavxmaster...I liked the KEEP WAITING but
AWK...IMO you´re right on this but 2 weeks are enough. Every Premiere Key is hacked in 2 weeks (as I heard).

Thanx unclever!!!!!
I should follow the figures...
BR
ISPRO
(edit)Thanks unclever, I missed that
Unclever, I´ve just read the 3/05 CC (Thanx to you again) and didn´t find that number. do you have a link to the 2.33M TPMs in Q3/05?
TIA and BR
ISPRO
Unclever...that what I mean.
Both quarters 1.5 M
Q3: around 1.5M at 0.15
Q4: around 1.5M at 0.10
decreasing royalities cause of the volume. We´ve now reached 0.10, so we can count on this fee for the future.
BR
ISPRO
Unclever....obviously I missed something.
"In Q3 there were approx 94K in software/licencing... and Q4 about 175K"
Dont think so!
BR
ISPRO
Dig...I had a discussion with Gugi about this too. And I remember that I´ve heard, that, following our deals with our partners they pay us for their bundling agreements.
i.e:
DELL Latitude with STM means
0.50 STM + 0.10 DELL = 0.60
TIA for your thoughts on this matter!
BR
ISPRO
Unclever.....right on this too IMHO
Cause of the volume our royalities should be 10cents per unit STM.
I also think our royalities for the DELL bundling reach from 1 buck to 35 cents! (only my opinion!!) I remember the presentation for the PP from late 05.
We don´t have to talk about these royalities in a few month, cause IMO we´ll get some contracts with the gov and with these we´ll reach BE soon. So I think we shouldn´t worry about PEANUTS!!!
See you all in Vegas 2006!!!
BR
ISPRO
Unclever...I apologize, you missunderstood my post! (cause of my bad englisch?)
There has never been a "PUBLIC" announcement concerning STM shipments to DELL or whatever OEM! I´m with you on this.
STM shipped 4M in 2005 - thats all.
BR
ISPRO
Unclever...there has never been a 4M reference to DELL.
4M TPMs from STM in 05!
BR
ISPRO
Unclever.....STM shipments
Q2/05: STM announced the 1st million
Q3/05: 1,5 M as for the royalities for Wave reported in the CC
Q4/05: 1,5 M flat STM royalities for Wave reported in the CC
INTC low revs in these quarters, so I´ve assumed the major part from STM.
Hope that helps
BR
ISPRO
Orda...I wouldn´t imply that. Perhaps he´s just a little bit worried about our (WAVX) future.
BR
ISPRO
Vader...who of the mobo manufacturers and the OEM will take another TPM if the infineon TPM has this package included?
BR
ISPRO
Vader...do you really think anybody within the TCG wants a competitor to own the TPM SW space?
I think STM, BC, Atmel, NS would have a problem with your scenario...
BR
ISPRO
Vader...everything is possible, it´s the questions if it´s likely. LOL
Sorry I couldnt resist, but I think, if HP wants to sell to the gov and they have to interact with server solutions and Dell machines, they´ll think about it.
BR
ISPRO
Premarket....+6,34%
Hmmm
BR
ISPRO
Thanks Ramsey!
Concerning my post yesterday about bundling or option:
From the CC (thanx unclever)
"..Q: Yes, Steven, you talked a little bit about the Seagate drives already. Can you talk about what that relationship means in terms of revenue per unit to Wave when an enterprise turns on one of those drives and when do you expect to start getting business from that relationship?
SKS: We think the business model is very similar to our existing OEM business in that there is some revenue or royalty for software included with the drive and there’s revenue for an enterprise to manage an installed base of these drives. Our expectations are that the first product begins to ship in the summertime. What we don’t know yet is how much or how long it’s going to take before – it clearly starts as an option as any product in the PC space does. And if it is for example retail option we could get a lot more than a few tens of cents per drive, we could get ultimately retail prices for our software per drive. As that becomes a higher volume business then it looks more like the bundled OEM model. So I think the model is very similar to how we’ve just gone through with the OEMs, starting as an option, being offered in the aftermarket and then becoming a bundled solution and then driving ultimately to enterprise sales. We see it as a very similar model and I think it’s why it’s such a good fit for us to go build product for them, because it’s a model we’re very familiar with and a lot of our customers we think will be customers for the trusted drives as well....."

Seagate FDE drives and Waves ETS
Does the preinstalled Dell ETS lite support the FDE encryption functions? I remember that you have to upgrade to the full ETS5.0 (Dell 2.1) to have the encryption feature for FDE devices.
Am I right on this?
TIA
ISPRO
Awk...looks like the MSFT Bitlocker performance problem.
My programmers were told at Cebit there is a 12% speed loss.
I like it!
BR
ISPRO
Awk...concerning the monopoly situation.
I thought I´ve seen a WinMagic and a Utimaco relationship too.
Is their encryption only software based or are their solutions also working with TPM.
TIA and BR
ISPRO
AWK...thanks and you know, I hope you´re right!

Seagate FDE drives and Wave
The Seagate/Wave connection seems to be a similar deal we had with Dell a year ago. As I remember, customers have to purchase our Software directly from Wave to enable the Seagate disk encryption. At the moment there is no bundling, when Seagate starts to ship the FDE drives. When we had the purchase option at Dells website, where ETS was (is) sold for 44.95, the upgrade percentage was very low.
I like the fifty cents more than 12$, as I like the fifty cents more than the 23$ from Dell. Fifty cents from 50 mil are better than 23$ from ?...
So IMO, the first step to reach a bundling is the opt-in. (as we had it with DELL). I hope Wave has the same intention with the Seagate deal. It would be nice to see our software be shipped with EACH FDE drive, perhaps at fifty cents!
Remember the 8k from 2005, when the Dell bundling was announced. We all were happy to get FIX revs through this deal. So I hope it´ll be the same with Seagate.
"Besser der Spatz in der Hand als die Taube am Dach"LOL
When we´ve reached BE, things might change, but at this moment I prefer bundling arrangements.
BR
ISPRO
GreenWavx....HP is changing their site every day.
If there is (or will be) no relationship with Wave, why are we there for quite a while?Hmmm....

SELL or NOT thats the QUESTION

Don´t think so. All of us know, the present of WAVX is NOT as we want it to be. We´re all hoping for the future. So there is no cheerleading. Everybody, who doesn´t believe in the future of Waves products should sell now to avoid further losses, others should stay to loose or win it all..........
