Concerning my post yesterday about bundling or option:

"..Q: Yes, Steven, you talked a little bit about the Seagate drives already. Can you talk about what that relationship means in terms of revenue per unit to Wave when an enterprise turns on one of those drives and when do you expect to start getting business from that relationship?

SKS: We think the business model is very similar to our existing OEM business in that there is some revenue or royalty for software included with the drive and there’s revenue for an enterprise to manage an installed base of these drives. Our expectations are that the first product begins to ship in the summertime. What we don’t know yet is how much or how long it’s going to take before – it clearly starts as an option as any product in the PC space does. And if it is for example retail option we could get a lot more than a few tens of cents per drive, we could get ultimately retail prices for our software per drive. As that becomes a higher volume business then it looks more like the bundled OEM model. So I think the model is very similar to how we’ve just gone through with the OEMs, starting as an option, being offered in the aftermarket and then becoming a bundled solution and then driving ultimately to enterprise sales. We see it as a very similar model and I think it’s why it’s such a good fit for us to go build product for them, because it’s a model we’re very familiar with and a lot of our customers we think will be customers for the trusted drives as well....."
