FDA Warns of Sleeping Pill Side Effects

FDA Warns Sleeping Pills Can Sometimes Cause 'Sleep-Driving'
WASHINGTON (AP) -- All sleeping pills, including the blockbusters Ambien and Lunesta, may sometimes cause a bizarre but dangerous side effect -- sleep-driving, the Food and Drug Administration warned Wednesday.
i dont know if dick ever hired a pr company or had something going on with spammers. I know alot of spammers buy the stock themsleves, pump and then dump it.
I think the sec is more concerned in weeding out real companies from shells. DC brands is real, they have a product that you can buy and drink for yourself. If they ever promoted anything i believe i was the truth. They did have bad luck with manufacturing and dist. which caused a huge setback.
My point is its different if some shell promotes a potential diamond mine in east bumble--ck when they really have nothing and never plan on mining anything, so they are promoting the hell out of nothing. DC if they did promote at least had a a product that you could buy and you cant punish them for their failures last year.
His PRs are mostly historical, there are some projections and speculation. but he has kept Dist. names out of them and mostly stuck by his guns.
nothing like a nice brazen screw you to the sec
i created a watch list for all 35 comps never heard of any of them except DCBI - a few others have released PR - very general and cookie cutter.
Our CEO DICK has definetly got a set of BALLS!!
Go DCBI
they are keeping the PRs comin!
that cant be bad right?! during a trade halt?!
even if merck/moffit, m2gen invested 15-20 mill to look closer or test DNAGs approach for their pharms that would be relatively cheap and well worth the risk for Merck.
47.5 million reasons for merck to protect themselves in the future
Hopefully DNAG can help them in the future

TAMPA - Hillsborough County Commission Chairman Jim Norman threatened Tuesday to delay a vote on a deal to bring a major cancer research center to Tampa because he does not think the city is paying its fair share.
At its meeting today, the commission will consider a package of financial incentives being offered by the county, city and state to drug maker Merck and Co. and the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.
Although the deal has been months in the making, Norman asked Mayor Pam Iorio on Tuesday to increase the city's contribution from $2 million to $7 million. Iorio rejected the request.
"The city is not prepared to go beyond its current commitment of $2 million," Iorio said. "It is an appropriate investment on the part of the county. The city's role is to be supportive."
Norman said he would ask fellow commissioners today to delay a vote on its contribution to give the city more time to consider his request.
He can expect resistance from at least two commissioners.
Delaying the project in an attempt to get more money from the city would be "disastrous" and could derail "the best economic opportunity in the history of our county," Commissioner Mark Sharpe said
He pointed out that the Legislative Budget Commission is set to vote Thursday in Tallahassee on committing $15 million in state money to the project.
"It's not just the best economic opportunity," Sharpe said. "It's an investment in human lives because they're talking about doing genetic research that will come up with new products and treatments that will save lives. … I'm calling on the vote [today] and for us to say 'yes.'"
Merck has agreed to spend about $95 million on the center, a for-profit Moffitt subsidiary called M2Gen. The center will build a tumor tissue database, creating tailor-made therapy for each cancer patient. More than 150 high-paying jobs are expected to be created initially.
Moffitt spokeswoman Michelle Foley said there is no particular deadline for the deal to be completed. She added, however, that the contributing parties have to hold up their end of their financial commitments.
"If one of those parties decided not to participate, we'd have to go back to the drawing board," Foley said. "The state funding is dependent on that from the city and county."
City Upped Its Contribution
Amid criticism by the county that it was not doing enough, the city a few weeks ago agreed to increase its original investment of $500,000 to $800,000, plus land valued at $1.2 million.
The county plans to commit $20 million, plus about $8 million in land. The center is expected to be built on 25 acres off Malcolm McKinley Drive, south of Fowler Avenue.
Before the deal can go forward, the city and county contributions must be approved by their governing boards.
Norman said he tried to make his offer more palatable to Iorio by suggesting that the city pay the $7 million over 10 years and delay the first payment until five years after the project commenced. During that time, he said, the city would reap a windfall in new property and sales taxes generated by economic activity around the biotech campus.
"They would be realizing millions of dollars of return before they had to pay the county back," Norman said.
The county plans to sell bonds to cover the $28 million cash and land investment. Norman said his deal would have the county assume all liability for the debt. The city would pay the county back through an interlocal agreement.
"I tried to offer up a deal to the city where they could have a cash flow when they started making payments to the county," he said.
Norman suggested he would not vote for the incentive package unless the city increased its contribution.
City Short On Cash, Ferlita Says
Commissioner Rose Ferlita, a former city councilwoman, said she understands the city is strapped for cash and won't base her vote on the city's contribution level.
"This is an opportunity for the Hillsborough County Commission to show leadership," Ferlita said. "The return in terms of dollars back to this community is going to be huge. It would be wonderful if the city had more dollars to spend, but they don't."
County Administrator Pat Bean said the city should contribute more because the project is in the city's boundaries.
"It's interesting that she's taking that position because historically if a project is located in the city, it's split 50-50," Bean said. "They're not being asked to put up as much money as we're putting up."

everybody be cool - we still have a long way to go. Lets continue this nice and easy trend upwards!
i have mostly been impressed with the slow steady build up of this over the past 2-3 months. gives real creedence to whatever the hell is going on.
Good for all numbnuts
even little dnag
Dnag is already there and has connections to both merck and Moffitt
even your sour a-- has to be a little perked over the possibilities for dnag
"Mapping the human chemical makeup is among the most promising fields in modern medicine. The deal would bring together two giants in the field and create a hub in Tampa Bay for the emerging bioscience industry."
"The work would raise the Tampa hospital's profile and could create a stable, significant revenue stream for research. The move would also draw other bioscience ventures to locate near Moffitt's home at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Fostering a bioscience cluster would boldly redefine the types of industries and jobs Hillsborough would use its money and leverage to attract."
If merck and moffit wanted the best tumor database with all possible information attached to each tumor why wouldnt they also attach a race profile to each and see if there are any similitaries or patterns.
just fluff pr today
obvious concern about these guys wether or not they can pull this company together. if you cant handle the swings then you shouldnt have money tied up in pinks or otcs. anyway, i would wait until after Q1 and the release of the apparent DC News which may have actuall sales figures. to determine your next move wether selling or getting back in.
"All of this should be welcomed as fantastic news! Speaking of news, as you know in the past, we provided periodic update in the form of our Dickens Cider Insider. We have made a firm commitment to begin providing that same information to our shareholders on a quarterly basis under the new name DC NEWS, beginning the end of Q1 07. This publication will include the same type of news as before but go much further in providing actual numbers and results. I will say again as I have many times in the past, we will not telegraph our moves as we may have done in the past, but rather only report on what is historical fact. This will be a free online publication and printed versions will be available on a subscription basis. We are committed to turning every aspect of this company around and we ask you for your continued support."
by the end of Q1, they should have decent sales through the roach coachs, a long list of bars signed up for on the gun dickens, and a possible national dist. for Turn Left (i am leaning towards an automotive store, and that would a good start) anything short of that info i would expect this stock to tank right back to 3 cents even after an RS.
