It was both.

Mellow Hope will do great. HTDS will not. It's only associated to generate money (one way) for them to use. HTDS will not benefit from either Mellow Hope or Slavica. The only reason HTDS exists is so those two foreign companies can tap into U.S. investors' money. MH will create new drugs processes, etc. by using our money but the HTDS stock price will sit idle.

LOL. Hey Faust. We will all have scar tissue when the dust settles on this POS.

It's really hard for me to believe that we are having this discussion when all the supposed good stuff was developing for Redwood. It's like climbing Everest day after day and right before you summit, a trap door opens and you fall to your death in seconds to erase what's taken you what seems like forever to get to.
Really sickening to me. What seems like a rock in the road has crippled us.
Sloth
Last one out, remember to turn off the lights.

2025
I also believe I will hold this stock for at least 5 more years. Of course, if it makes the move up that I believe it will, I will sell some of it to take some profit.
What I would like to see from Ambient:
Keep generating great revenues
Get universal exposure to the investing world.
Buy the shares from Vicis thus making the OS very small.
Get the pps way up. (Not really something Ambient has direct control over)
Offer options on their stock
Offer dividends or do forward splits of their stock when it rises considerably (long-term I know)
Sloth
I admire your patience. I think it will pay off due to the fact that until recently, the smart grid hasn't been on a "being implemented" status so nobody knew about it. I actually listened to a radio program where people were claiming the smart grid was to spy on us and to allow utilities to run up your bill and control energy usage.
There's still a lot of confusion regarding the SG and what it will/can do but it will eventually lessen and people will embrace its benefits and embrace the stocks that are involved in it.
Of course, when big money understands the enormity of the SG rollout and the cash involved, they will bring a lot of attention to these stocks that will get the masses talking.
All opinion of course,
Sloth
This thing is a stuck pig. Hang it up and let the blood drain. It should be considered "worthless" by next tax season.

We need a friggin miracle and JB just can't do it. Our only hope is if someone else starts running the show.
JB
This is really making me sick to my stomach. First, they lose their subsidiary,SINO UJE somehow, now they've lost the whole damn company without a peep from anyone. You would think they would have the balls to explain what's happening. I guess they're just scampering away into some hole.
F'ing pieces of sh!t.

NEWTON, Mass. and SAN DIEGO, March 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --Ambient Corporation (NASDAQ: AMBT), a leading provider of flexible and scalable smart grid communications platforms and technologies, announced today that it has joined the Wi-Fi Alliance, a global non-profit industry association of hundreds of leading companies devoted to seamless connectivity.

That's probably the reason why the OTC has them flagged as a possible offender of insider trading. I hope that's a reason they're not saying anything and they still have things going on behind the scenes.
All hopes with no backing. Most of my gut tells me this thing is running on fumes.

That's good and bad news. Depends which way one is leaning.

Ambient Corporation Appoints Vice President, Business Development, The Americas
NEWTON, Mass., March 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ambient Corporation (NASDAQ: AMBT), a leading provider of flexible and scalable smart grid communications platforms and technologies, announced today that it has appointed Jim Fisher, Vice President, Business Development, The Americas.
"Jim brings extensive industry knowledge and business development expertise," said John J. Joyce, President and CEO of Ambient Corporation. "As we look to expand our customer base and product offerings in 2012, I am confident that with the addition of Jim's experience to our management team we are better positioned to grow our brand awareness throughout the industry. We are excited to have him join at this critical juncture."
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Fisher spent the last seven years with Itron, Inc. in positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as Global Senior Director of Sales/Business Development. Mr. Fisher has worked in the energy industry for 20+ years in various roles of management, sales and marketing with Schlumberger and Itron. Mr. Fisher has a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from West Virginia University.
Mr. Fisher said, "It is a very exciting time in the energy industry as utilities are evaluating their traditional vertical networks and looking towards integrated and unified smart grid applications. Ambient Corporation is well positioned with their communications platform for promoting a smarter grid. I am looking forward to contributing to one of the primary goals for 2012 -- expansion of the Company's customer base."
They just hired a Golbal Vice Pres and now a business development VP who has extensive experience globally with Itron. I don't want to jump the gun but aren't all the dots leading to a global partner? Both the last two PRs have indicated expanding their customer base (which is an obvious need). It's just a matter of time before we get one, two or three and I believe they will be big ones (or one big one at least).

Is RDWD still trading or has it been halted? What is Jimmy doing besides being incompetent!

As far as PR, it stinks but I don't thing they are allowed to disclose much or they don't want to open their big mouths about something and pizz off Duke. Yeah, the company could promote itself but they still have issues. Once they clear some of them up then it's time to promote. If they don't do it then we have a glaring problem. Also, I don't thing it's time to say anything since there's still a lot of uncertainty surrounding the smart grid in general.
The float is disproportionate. Hopefully, when the day arrives when vicis wants to sell, we can buy those shares thus reducing the float enormously. If all goes as planned or as things seem to be going, there will be buyout bids and those companies would absorb those shares.
I'm just throwing things out there and I'm not the most knowledgeable regarding share structure and PR but I do know that Ambient is sitting real pretty to do some huge things. If they can get those new customers, all those things you mentioned won't even matter. New customers trump everything and will solve pretty much any problem Ambient has.
All my modest opinion,
Sloth
This thing is dead. Maybe someday it will be able to be revived but as for now it's dead.
Can't sell it because you lose 100% of your money. Can't really complain either that it ties up your money since it's worthless.
Can you even sell this stinker?
Sloth
They've been hiring lots of new people lately. They are definitely growing. When will investors see their BIG ROI is the question.

GLOBAL IS GOOD! ~ 02/22/2012 @ 5:56PM
Ambient Corporation (NASDAQ: AMBT), a leading provider of flexible and scalable smart grid communications platforms and technologies, announced today that it has appointed Don Pollock as Global Vice President of Sales and Marketing, reporting to John J. Joyce, President and CEO of Ambient Corporation.
"We're delighted to have Don join us. He brings a wealth of sales and marketing expertise garnered from his rich experience in a variety of vertical markets," said John J. Joyce. "This is going to be an exciting year for Ambient as we make significant investment in our sales and marketing resources to develop our business globally. Our smart grid communications platform is well proven and we are very confident that it can deliver outstanding benefits to utilities around the world."
Prior to joining Ambient Corporation, Mr. Pollock was Managing Director of Customers Matter Ltd, a marketing and research consultancy. For over 20 years he has acted as an executive in or consultant to various businesses; and helped them understand their customers and prospects, build business and deliver better bottom line results. Some of his previous clients include: IBM, Saint Gobain, Baldor, Indesit and Universal Powerline Association. His early career was spent in working for the global media group Bauer (Formerly EMAP). Mr Pollock has a B.Sc in Psychology and Business Studies from Edinburgh University.
Mr. Pollock said, "This is an excellent time to be joining Ambient Corporation, we have a world class smart grid communications platform that is yielding significant benefits for our marquee customer, and it is an exciting challenge to build, develop and lead the sales and marketing function at Ambient."
I think it's as simple as one of the big players in the grid actually mentioning Ambient as their chosen product. As of now, Ambient is never mentioned. They share booths, sponsor smart grid forums and events and receive accolades about their technology but nobody ever mentions Ambient as the brains behind the whole thing.
We need a Qualcomm, Verizon, Itorn, Cisco or such to start throwing our name out there so that people start to question who that company is that is being mentioned all the time.
I know many long term investors are sick of the price being so low but I personally feel we are very close to breaking through that pps wall.
~~
A couple things mentioned in their year end financial highlights:
1. a primary objective for 2012 – the diversification of our customer base.
2. Mr. Joyce continued, “Interest in the Ambient Smart Grid® communications platform continues to grow, and we are actively cultivating projects with several potential customers.
A new customer or customers is what has eluded us for so long. If we can start mentioning other companies rather than pussy-footing around the actuality of it, the price will take off.
All my opinion of course,
Sloth
Thanks Polk. That's just tremendous news and numbers. New customers would really launch Ambient's pps and is really what holds it back. It may also finally cause the rest of the world to find out about this little company that many have known about for years. It's never looked better for Ambient.
Sloth
That's the reason I was told that they completely stopped putting out any info regarding contracts, potential contracts, negotiations for contracts or anything about contracts.
They ain't saying anything anymore.
Sloth
My hope is on empty right now.
I'm getting drunk tonight at the beach. Who's in?

SORRY, THAT'S NEWS IS OVER A YEAR OLD. SORRY FOR THE MISTAKE.

Redwood Capital Announces the Hiring of Two New Analysts
Redwood Capital has announced the hiring of two new analysts, Wade Cui and Ekaterina Terskin, who will perform a variety of tasks including managing and performing due diligence on client firms and drafting business plans and prospectuses for institutional investors.
Redwood Capital has worked with clients that are now publicly traded in the United States and Canada and has several clients under contract that are being prepared for similar transactions, as well as maintaining a pipeline of potential clients operating in China and Mongolia. The new analysts are currently working with Redwood Capital clients to prepare them for potential future reverse merger and financing transactions.
"We are very pleased to have Wade Li Cui and Ekaterina Terskin on the Redwood Capital team," said CEO Jim Bickel. "Both come to Redwood with valuable experience in China as well as in finance, financial analysis and related fields. As part of the ongoing expansion of Redwood operations in and around China, the addition of these highly qualified analysts will help to expedite the process of preparing clients for APO transactions. We welcome them aboard and look forward to their contributions for many years to come."

Had a bad day thinking about what has become here. It's been a long road and a bad one at that. Just don't see the light anymore.
Sloth
You guys are all a lot more positive in your thinking than me. I really think this is very bad. This is completely my opinion but after JB saying that the RTO biz has completely collapsed and Redwood medical having no business, I think things are wrapping up here in a bad way. If JB does sell the business or have it acquired, it will probably be done through a Chinese group and we shareholders will be left with nothing.
Sloth
I don't know but it sounds not so good. He seems very frustrated which is understandable but we are even more frustrated because we're funding the whole damn thing. It's very discouraging that things looked really good here last year...finally and now we've been knocked back down to the lower peg to start again.
I'm really interested in Abaxis and the medical since it has nothing to do with RTOs and it seemed like it was going really well. That's what excited me about Redwood Medical; it could be the putty that filled in the cracks for when the RTO business was slow.
THAT'S WHY WE NEED A SHAREHOLDER UPDATE PR!!
I also would like to know about Matthew Totty and Charlie Wu, the Managing Directors and what they're doing. Would they take over the company is JB decided to quit?
Everybody keep at him to update us and keep at it. We all lose if he quits.
Sloth
Iglatend, I don't think that's any special info. I'm sure anyone in the RTO biz knows this. It's really just JB's opinion. The RTO business collapsing is just an opinion based on our business here (RDWD). I'm sure other RTO businesses may be doing better.
I sent him another email saying that I'm not looking for information, THE SHAREHOLDERS are looking for information.
Here's what I wrote him:
Thanks for the response Jim. What happened to Abaxis? We, as shareholders, know something is not right but a PR outlining the reality of the situation would bode well. The "unknown" is what is eating away at shareholders. I know you can't tell me things privately which is why I suggested the PR.
Many of us have invested large amounts of money in S3 and Redwood and deserve to know what's going on. We can accept the facts but not the mystery of whether the company is still a going concern or whether our investment is gone. We just want some communication from you and to keep us updated as to what's going on whether good or bad.
I know I should have a harsher tone in my emails but I have to be diplomatic in hopes of receiving something back.
Sloth
Got an email respond today. I asked for a shareholder update, a conference call or a meeting.
This is the response:
xxxxxxx,
Not really sure how to respond to this request do to the new rules and reg’s governing corporate disclosure. As I’m sure you’re aware CEO’s are closely scrutinized by FINRA and the SEC and are being told not to provide information to an individual shareholder that is not available to all shareholders and this scares all CEO’s.
I’m also sure you know that the RTO market in China has completely collapsed and even though none of Redwood’s former or current clients were involved, it ended this business for the time being and killed the value of stocks the company had earned and was still holding.
We are attempting to regroup and possibly find other business in Asia that could provide income; this is hard work, time consuming and expensive but we’re still in business and hopeful.
Jim Bickel
Spoke to the agent this morning. Very kind guy which is great but it won't get any of our money back. Discussed my investments and other details concerning me and my investment. We won't get any money back since there are no assets but it's good to know that Turek won't just ride his fat azz off into the sunset. What an A-Hole.
What a Dik,
Sloth
I see that Karen has given up as mod here too. Soon the posts will dry up.

They're also on a fraud warning but I don't know how that list was compiled.

Not many positives happening here.
Sloth
I'm kind of thinking similarly but I have some good money invested and to just shrug my shoulders and do nothing is bothersome to me. If I had $1,000 invested, I wouldn't bother. It's not only the money but the responsibility of Bickel to tell investors what's going on with the company that's really irritating to me. Heck,it's year end and to say nothing to us and ignore us is insulting. I want a face to face where I can give some of that back to him and get some satisfaction that I've said what I want to say and what others would like to say. It may do nothing to him but it will for me.
Sloth
Everyone have a great New Years and I hope 2012 is more rewarding for us here.
Got it. Thank you much. I will call him.
Sloth
Hey Cassandra,
can you email the info also. My email is in my last post today.
TIA,
