WELCOME BACK 911 - good to hear you are better--and THANK YOU....
I've read all maps and do not think it will be -but in the horrors it is, it was a free ticket anyway.
My thoughts on this are that with the smaller amount of free trading shares in the new company, if the amount of gold Ken suspects is there, by the time the restriction is lifted the price will be through the roof.
Mine have been also on Scottrade, except the trades are white - almost all of them - above the ask. I've never seen this before either.
Very nice........thanks!!!
Question: On the Website http://katexploration.com/index.html was that Handcamp Chip Sample information and the Rusty Ridge Magnetics there before? I do not recall the four slides on the Rusty Ridge being there. Is that recent, or did I just not open it.
I think KatWoman's cat shocked everyone back into reality. KATX is a BIG CAT!!! (#54673)
There's really no way to predict on most stocks. The only thing to remember here is IF there is a Rat Patrol, they have no idea when the PR is going to hit and will not keep themselves in a position to "lose it all" if they are shorting or whatever they do. It only stands to reason they are walking on a tight-rope and it cannot last too long.
I've been in this stock since November and am not getting flushed out of my shares. It's too easy if you have not done your homework on this stock to let a morning's emotions ruin the rest of your life. Remember all the properties involved here. I've seen stocks like this go down all morning, then in the afternoon, shoot up in 15-30 minutes right back. Too many good things going on behind the scenes here.
Thanks Bob:
KATX IS TURNING OUT TO BE A REAL CLASS ACT!!!!!!! Simply unheard of in the pink penny world............
Coast Guard Responds to tar balls in Key West
KEY WEST, Fla. – Coast Guard pollution investigators from Sector Key West responded to a report of twenty tar balls found on the beach at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park in Key West Monday.
Coast Guard Sector Key West received notification from the Florida Park Service around 5:15 p.m. Monday of twenty tar balls ranging in size from approximately three to eight inches in diameter.
Park rangers conducted a shoreline survey of Fort Zachary Taylor and the adjacent Navy beach at Truman Annex and recovered the tar balls at a rate of nearly three tar balls an hour throughout the day, with the heaviest concentration found at high tide, around 12:30 p.m.
Coast Guard pollution investigators from Sector Key West completed a subsequent shoreline survey of the area, and no additional tar balls were found.
Samples of the tar balls were collected and will be shipped to a laboratory for analysis to determine the origin of the source.
The Coast Guard and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration – Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuaries (NOAA-FKNMS) will conduct shoreline surveys beginning Tuesday morning. Additionally, an aerial search utilizing a Coast Guard Helicopter with a trained pollution investigator on board will also be conducted Tuesday morning.
The public is asked to report the sighting of any tar balls to the U.S. Coast Guard at 1 (800) 424-8802. Any oiled shorelines can be reported to 1 (866) 448-5816.
The public is reminded that tarballs are considered hazardous and should only be retrieved by trained personnel.

Your picture is sicko - I'm out of here
First time I ever saw that, I was under the impression Inc. was a public company and Limited was a private company. Very interesting - thanks.
Just looking at the Interim Financial Report - why is it Kat Exploration Limited rather than Kat Exploration Inc.

Thank you Bob.
I found it interesting that you mentioned the VALE possibility of outright buy or JV and checked SEC filings; seems VALE is listing E750 million 8-year notes on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and state they will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes (in their PR yesterday).
However, in their March 11, 2010 SEC filings it states "The aggregate proceeds of this global offering, net of fees and expenses, including underwriting discounts and commissions, will be approximately €(blank) million. We intend to use the net proceeds of the global offering for general corporate purposes, including funding our capital expenditures, managing the currency and maturity profile of our liabilities, and potentially making acquisitions. We regularly review possible opportunities for strategic acquisitions, and in the current period of consolidation in the global mining industry, attractive new opportunities may arise and we could make one or more acquisitions, which could require a substantial amount of funding."
I want to than you for all the inputs you have given to this board, and also the maps - and that thank you goes out to all moderators and contributors also.
It is possible that I am out on the wrong limb here connecting the dots incorrectly, but I hope not.
Been in this stock for a long time and sometimes it's difficult to contain the speculation.
HyperGrowthStocks Premarket mention of KATX - on their watchlist:

THANKS BIRDMAN, I needed that!
Got it, thanks.
Thanks for the explanation, the PDF reader is already installed and I got that, I'll have to check about installing excel. I have a new Mac, with parallel installed, and I know the excell is on the Microsoft side - just have to move it over.
I went to the company website to look over the maps, and couldn't find the one you posted earlier; also, when I downloaded the Handcamp Chip Samples, it came up "Import Error" File Format is Invalid. Perhaps there is a problem here - anyone else having this, or is it just my computer?
Just noticed on Scottrade there is a new Reuters Research Report dated March 2, 2010 - PDF.
Mr. Thistle - right from Mt. Pearl - knows the people, knows the area - great news!
Logged onto my Scottrade account today and they have a Reuters Company Research Report dated February 24, six pages in PDF format. Tried to copy it but it didn't take.
Was this link posted yesterday from Coastweek, Kenya,

Looks like things have quieted down, and we are in a waiting mode. Just wanted to share a book I found that can be read on-line you all might enjoy perusing "Once Upon A Mine" - Story of Pre-Confederation Mines on the Island of Newfoundland. It is a treasure of information, history, and pictures of miners in the days gone by.

That sounds smart
Not so sure about taking profits today - Kat seems to come out with PR's at 7-10 in the morning from what I remember. I wouldn't want to take the chance of not making it back in.
Sure hope so; found that same message posted all over the internet while doing DD this afternoon. Sure glad I repositioned some investments to buy more on Friday.
OK, didn't know that. I took it as an indication the shorts didn't want to get caught this next week.
Does anyone have way to check this out? I don't have a subscription to buyins.net.

Well, I read the Biomed Report also and took it for an announcement as to who they were working with for manufacturing. This paragraph was in the beginning:
The company that will be joining him on the historic journey has been identified as Sparton Corporation (NYSE:SPA), who provides design and electronic manufacturing services, which include a range of engineering, pre-manufacturing and post-manufacturing services on a contract basis.
RFQ's are the way Fortune 500 and 200 companies go, but not necessary small start-ups. I gathered that this was already discussed and agreed upon.
Also, as stated in the end of the report:
News of this development for the company will no doubt generate interest in the firm and according to Spencer, some media outlets and newspapers have already begun to reach out to him for articles and profile pieces.
It was a good thing for Biomed to give us a leg up before this hit the media outlets and newspapers. I could be incorrect, as I am viewing this from the other side of the fence; i.e., enginnering.
Best of Luck to everyone, whatever you decide.
Provisional patents are not in the public domain. Do your homework; every engineer knows this.
Perhaps a competitor. My point was, he came out of nowhere with elaborate posts - why?
In response to your message and also in support of Sheff, it looks quite easy to figure out if you check out Horseshoe's profile. He has listed as his hobbies and interests "LONG for a minute - SHORT for an hour." It would be my guess he shorted to soon and is in a panic to get the price down.
Also, he has obviously never invented anything and is in the dark as to what is involved and how long it can take; things don't just "fall out of the sky" into your lab. I'd just pass his posts off, along with the personal attacks on Sheff for the above reasons.
Bravo Sheff - there are more people appreciating your thorough DD than you could ever realize.
Thanks.
Do you happen to have the address of the company headquarters in Spartanburg, SC.; I couldn't find it in the phone book. Since I live in Spartanburg, SC, I'd like to check it out.
I was doing some research this morning and came across an article that was out at 7:59 this morning - title "HEB's Artful Dodging" - this may have caused the drop.

BTW, great thread $heff.
