Thought I would wave high to the board. Getting a little volume today. Anyone buying or dumping? Fwiw, sitting on 1mil shares, down 60% - sigh.
I guess we will have to agree to disagree on Obama. He's not perfect, but IMHO about as close as the Dems current roster will get. It will be interesting to watch what happens in the "red states" if it all boils down to Barack and Mike "god warrior" Huckleberry.
I just hope ol' Bill keeps talking. Maybe the young people now of age to vote, but who grew up having to ask their parents what does "oral sex" means are really looking for something new?
Friends of ours from Chicago who worked the Obama campaign in Iowa will be here next week. Will post some news from their inside perspective if anyone is interested.
aloha and happy 2008 to all!
Yes, TD (Izone) has mine posted. Have to go in and adjust the cost basis though - ugh.
As you may know there is a huge Asian population in Hawaii - and the fireworks tradition is still strong. Now you have to get a permit to light off certain types of fireworks, but the regular junk is still available by the truckload at Costco and Walmart.
Sounds nice! We kept NY's Eve simple too. Market had a sale on king crab. That along with some simple apps in the oven, and some Gloria Ferrer bubbly. Kept the dogs indoors too so they wouldn't be too freaked by all the neighbors fireworks. Every year the smell of all that sulphur seems to bother me more. I'm hoping they someday ban the stuff here like they have in most other areas.
Time for some java!
Aloha Jeff!
Happy 2008! Had a day of hard rain and wind on New Year's Eve, but 1/1 was beautiful.
Used the Holiday to start interior painting the upstairs, and wired my new media room for surround sound. Still waiting a bit to find that new 50" flat screen.
How was your New Year's?
Sorry I missed that. Will check and see if its available on the web.
Happy post xmas day to all!
Hey Dave,
Missed that piece of news. Yes, sad indeed. What a genius. Years ago when I was hanging out in the studio with Wayne Henderson (trombonist for Jazz Crusaders), I met Bobby Lyle. Another incredible key board player who Wayne helped bring up. Bobby said Oscar was his main inspiration. In particular his ability to play a different rhythm with his left hand and another with his right?! I'm probably not describing this correctly ,but I think you know what I mean.
Things are going great here bro. Will PM some more info later.
Safe travels to LA when the time comes.
Good point. Does Kenny boy have any employees? Is he paying payroll taxes? The IRS has brought down a lot of "untouchables" in the past.
LOL - is that a pizza or a bad case of melanoma? ; )
Awwwwwww...So cute!
Mele Kalikimaka!
Good questions and unfortunately no solid answers from ol' Do I look like a crook Wiley
Easy...humbly accept the accolades, but tell them you do not give or accept autographs. ; )
Know what you mean. I took a sledge hammer to my TRBY mouse and bought one of these.
Made me feel better for a moment or two.
ROFL! You have taken the phrase "Drastic Times Call For Drastic Measures" to a new level Jeff! My advice, visit one of those brazilian wax salons during your stay in Cabo!
Yikes...guess I should be happy that I dumped the little bit I had left at .19
Aloha Bro!
ROFLLLL!!! You had to go THERE!! Too funny Jeff.
Buh buh ,buh bye!
Thanks! Actually my birthday is a few months off, but appreciate the encouragement. And yes, except for a few more lines on my face, I look and feel better than I did 10 years ago. There is something special about living here if you can tap into the energy. It's all about the journey as the saying goes.
Big aloha!
I like Rufus as well.
Loudon is Rufus's father. Check out this ode to breast feeding that Loudon wrote when Rufus was a baby...
http://play.rhapsody.com/loudonwainwrightiii/unrequited/rufusisatitmanlive?didAutoplayBounce=true
On a more somber note, here is a song that addresses Loudon and Kate McGarrigle's divorce and the message Loudon had for Rufus:
Your mother and I
LOL - Yes, I have crested the mountain and begun the descent to who knows where! Thank goodness, no hair growing out of my ears yet
': 0)
LOL - I'll turn 53 in a few, so I definitely don't think your old!
: )
Wow - a flurry of posts all of a sudden. Mick - either you or I rule! LOL
GLTA
Anybody else a Loudon Wainwright fan?...
Met him in Santa Monica at McCabe's Guitar shop years ago. Great show, but this was not one of the songs he performed...
Ahhhh geeezzzz
LOL - My wife agrees with you. I have to watch when she's out of the house..... ; 0)
Thanks !
Amen!
Never contacted this one. I have several pinkies that I have need to "contact" after the 1st of the year. If I get a response, will be sure to post any info.
GLTY
One of my favorite oldies - thanks!
Ever hear this version by Art Garfunkel? Not as good as the Flamingo's but used to spin it on the record player for my wife and slow dance----------when we had still had a record player!
Could be - sorry, don't know for sure.
Just trying to post some pictures from a personal website and decided not too! Sorry - should have written "this is a test - it is only a test"
Anybody able to dump this pig at .0001 yet? It's stinking up the tail end of my portfolio. LOL
GLTY and warm Holiday Wishes from Maui.
Glad you guys had such a good time! I have heard about bass fishing in a reservoir on Oahu, but have not heard anything about Maui. Will ask!
Here's a link to fresh water fishing on Oahu

LOL - I wouldn't know about such things......... ; ) but I am sure you are right Jeff! ; )
Agreed! I not a big fan of Larry King, but he did a nice tribute to Dan, which included guests Joe (I still have a brain cell or two left) Walsh, and Graham Nash.
Graham told a story that Dan was a in the front row of one of CSN's concerts in Chicago in 1968. He was inspired by the performance and told his mother that he was going to work hard and be a singer/songwriter.
I might dust off the old six string and strum a few of his songs today.
Mele Kalikimaka!
Hey OD! Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately we are going to more and more read stories like this about artists from "our day" - that's life.
Hope life is treating you and yours well, and best wishes for a wonderful Holiday Season and a healthy, successful 2008!
Aloha
o/t not at all difficult when I see mr. shakerzzz around.
Thanks for the reply and support. I have read Lowman's and other post and feel comfortable. (wish I had listened to him about NVMG!! LOL)
Would load up here, but funds a little tight this time of year.
I'm comfortable and will be patient with HMGP.
LOL> - so we have a scapegoat other than Fat Frank and Co and all anger can be directed to you? Now I really believe you were raised Catholic!!!!
Good post my friend!
Been years since I enjoyed some good bass fishing (Wisconsin, Minnesota) - wish I could join you guys!
