Awesome good job with the DD
I hate to cite wikipedia but this is why there is a confidential at monoclonal antibodies... http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZMapp
Yeah, this small co. could end up huge...stocks are always risky, i have more invested here than i can afford because i think this has some serious potential...what if this ebola thing changes how vaccines are created, and ibio ends up having the patents? Or as someone said, gets bought out...that is my dream...it is easy to invest a few bucks than to be the co. doing all the work and taking the risks
What scares me is why they are getting the disease?
Scary stuff
Ok
I thought that this was due to a particular pop. newsletter co. putting out misinformation? Or is there something else going on?
"The Rosen Law Firm Announces Investigation of Securities Fraud Claims Against iBio, Inc. - IBIOFont size: A | A | A
5:21 PM ET 10/23/14 | BusinessWire
The Rosen Law Firm, P.A. announces that it is investigating potential securities fraud claims against iBio, Inc. (NYSE: IBIO).
On October 9, 2014, the Washington Post reported that the manufacturer of the experimental Ebola drug ZMapp was seeking additional production capacity from Caliber Biotherapeutics ("Caliber"). On October 16, 2014, iBio issued a press release titled "iBio Responds to Inquiries About its Role in Emergency Response to Ebola Virus Disease Outbreak", which (among other things) "confirmed [] the applicability of its issued U.S. iBio Launch platform patents and related proprietary technology to further development and production of antibodies that target the Ebola virus" and that it had been working with Caliber. iBio further "offered to assist the U.S. government by making its proprietary technology available [to] address the current Ebola virus outbreak".
On October 17, 2014, it was announced that U.S. officials had asked the A&M Lab and two others to submit plans to produce the experimental Ebola drug ZMapp. Also on October 17, an iBio spokesperson was quoted as saying that any lab that wants to make ZMapp vaccine using plant-based technology would have to license it from iBio.
On October 20 and 23, 2014, reports were published online revealing that (a) iBio's relationship with Caliber had nothing to do with an Ebola drug, (b) rival Icon Genetics AG had created a method to produce ZMapp using plant-based technology and need not license technology from iBio, and (c) the head of the A&M Lab had stated that any plant-based ZMapp manufacturing method would have to be identical to what the maker of the drug had already vetted in animals, ruling out different methods like iBio's.
On these adverse disclosures, iBio's stock fell from $3.21 to $1.59, damaging investors.
As result of these adverse disclosures the Rosen Law Firm is preparing a securities class action on behalf of iBio shareholders. Pursuant to the terms of NYSE MKT’s approval of our listing application for the shares to be issued under the Purchase Agreement, we may not issue more than 13,062,776 shares of our common stock pursuant to the Purchase Agreement, unless our stockholders approve the transaction contemplated by the Purchase Agreement. We may, but we are under no obligation to, request our stockholders to approve the transaction contemplated by the Purchase Agreement.
On October 20, 2014, the conditions necessary for purchases under the Purchase Agreement to commence were satisfied. On any trading day on which the closing sale price of our common stock is not less than the Floor Price ($0.44, the closing sale price of our shares on the business day before we entered into the Purchase Agreement), we have the right, in our sole discretion, to present Aspire Capital with a Purchase Notice, directing Aspire Capital (as principal) to purchase up to 150,000 shares of our common stock per business day, up to an additional $9.5 million of our common stock in the aggregate at a Purchase Price calculated by reference to the prevailing market price of our common stock over the preceding 10-business day period (as more specifically described below); however, no sale pursuant to a Purchase Notice may exceed $500,000 per trading day.
In addition, on any date on which we submit a Purchase Notice to Aspire Capital for 150,000 Purchase Shares and out stock price is not less than the Floor Price ($0.44, the closing sale price of our shares on the business day before we entered into the Purchase Agreement), we also have the right, in our sole discretion, to present Aspire Capital with a VWAP Purchase Notice directing Aspire Capital to purchase an amount of stock equal to up to 30% of the aggregate shares of the Company’s common stock traded on NYSE MKT on the next trading day, subject to the VWAP Purchase Share Volume Maximum and the VWAP Minimum Price Threshold. The VWAP Purchase Price is calculated by reference to the prevailing market price of our common stock (as more specifically described below).
The Purchase Agreement provides that the Company and Aspire Capital shall not effect any sales under the Purchase Agreement on any purchase date where the closing sale price of our common stock is less than the Floor Price ($0.44, the closing sale price of our shares on the business day before we entered into the Purchase Agreement). The Floor Price will be $0.20 per share of Common Stock, if our stockholders approve the transaction contemplated by the Purchase Agreement. We may, but we are under no obligation to, request our stockholders to approve the transaction contemplated by the Purchase Agreement. There are no trading volume requirements or restrictions under the Purchase Agreement, and we will control the timing and amount of any sales of our common stock to Aspire Capital. There are no limitations on use of proceeds, financial or business covenants, restrictions on future fundings, rights of first refusal, participation rights, penalties or liquidated damages in the Purchase Agreement. The Purchase Agreement may be terminated by us at any time, at our discretion, without any penalty or cost to us.
Purchase of Shares Under The Common Stock Purchase Agreement
Under the common stock Purchase Agreement, on any trading day selected by us on which the closing sale price of our common stock exceeds the Floor Price, we may direct Aspire Capital to purchase up to 150,000 shares of our common stock per trading day. The Purchase Price of such shares is equal to the lesser of:
· the lowest sale price of our common stock on the purchase date; or
· the arithmetic average of the three lowest closing sale prices for our common stock during the ten consecutive trading days ending on the trading day immediately preceding the purchase date."
I will quote some things later and maybe you can clear it up, but if they are debt free, why then are they adding shares to the market over an extended period of time? That is what I gathered...additionally, I felt as if they want to pps to go down by the wording, it sounds crazy but I was reading it and thinking, how can they get away with this? IDK...maybe I read it all wrong.
I'm out guys...I read the 10/20 financials, that is all I needed...hope you all make money
Yeah but they are still taking everyone's money and making the rest of us hate ourselves while we see the price drop...hopefully when this stock makes us all real money we can do something good with it to either join them or get out of this racket
Time will tell...idk i have a good feeling, but that doesn't guarantee anything...
Nah, been trading sideways, good things coming, i feel AH or early morning
But it has a Q after it ...
Cheers to that; patience is the key on this one.
Risk vs. reward is really good at this level IMO for a longer hold...maybe not going all in, just in case it dips more so you can average down...I always buy all at once, I have 2.25$ shares I held even after it hit 3.5$...I know I should have sold and repurchased but I was afraid news would hit the wire...then what? So hopefully I'm not insane for this...
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2014/08/05/why-ebola-worries-defense-department/
This was from August 5th over two months ago...for everyone that thinks this is going away...unfortunately, people bought on the panic buzz I still think this is a good long play and unfortunately, I have a hard time tying up money I don't have..:( So I hope it does go up in the short-term
Right after I posted I read the other post that was linked...just wanted to make sure that was accurate.
I actually think the government should by now, have a means to mass produce any virus? or at least a large majority of them...that is a little crazy, unless they all require a specific method which I don't believe is the case...
I'm not an expert on charts but this looks like it may have hit the bottom? Also, if you take a look at the 3 month, it looks like a repeat with upward momentum...also, I think a little help from the PR department would help out...
You're entitled to your opinion but in regards to defense, you have to be prepared for worst case scenario...global pandemic is worst case scenario and even if the nightmare doesn't come true, if the possibility exists, the governments around the world will want to be prepared. Furthermore, the governments around the world print the monies...which means they have a lot of it ;)
I'm just curious if anyone can answer me one basic question...
Why hasn't a method for vaccination/treatment been created by now? Because I hope it wasn't due to lack of funding... with a country and world that spends so much on defense... ok, yeah, it's not airborne but the panic that would be created from this would be enough to really cause some serious financial troubles in the global economy and that isn't good for anyone...even if this doesn't kill as many people as car accidents, the flu etc.. the ramifications of this disease getting in to the GP is a threat to our country and other countries IMO...just my opinion
Guys, I have a few escrow shares, what is the value per share? Also, can I call my broker to get them or is there some court thingy going on...
Thanks in advance!
Thanks. I'm hopeful we get a PR to tide us over soon
A lot of Ebola stocks are down today, the panic is dying down...it doesn't mean there isn't still a threat. Wasn't there like a deadline for the govt. To partner with someone or something? Anyone have specifics?
Oops, misspoke, meant it WILL BE a threat
Valid point, ebola is going to not be a threat until we have the means to protect ourselves from it...and what does the US govt. and other countries do when they are threatened? They react
Imo, this stock goes to show you the manipulation and ridiculous nature of the market where investors aren't top on the agenda, but the shorters and flippers...i bet so many investors sold today which is sad, and not to take profits which is to be expected when investing...
I was thinking that as well..that is why i see green tomorrow, have been in stocks like this before, atrn rings a bell
I see green day tomorrow, maybe a little facelift eod here
Now we have some more support ;) $$$$$$$$$??$$$$$$$$$
Feel bad for anyone that sold at a loss...i have done it before
Candlestick shows one huge sell... but the buys and sells are about equal if I'm seeing this correctly
