Three men - a Canadian farmer, Osama bin Laden and a
White Trash Biker are all walking together one day.
They come across a lantern and a Genie pops out of it.
'I will give each of you one wish, which is three wishes in total',
says the Genie.
The Canadian says, 'I am a farmer and my son will also farm.
I want the land to be forever fertile in Canada '
POOF! With the blink of the Genie's eye, the land in Canada
was forever fertile for farming.
Osama was amazed, so he said, 'I want a wall around Afghanistan ,
Palestine , Iraq and Iran so that no infidels, Americans or Canadians
can come into our precious land.'
POOF! Again, with the blink of the Genie's eye, there was a huge wall around those countries.
The Biker says, 'I am very curious.
Please tell me more about this wall.'
The Genie explains, 'Well, it's about 5,000 feet high,
500 feet thick and completely surrounds the country.
Nothing can get in or out; it's virtually impenetrable.'
The Biker sits down on his Harley, cracks a beer, lights a cigar,
smiles and says,
'Fill it with water.'

Press Release Source: Resolute Energy Corporation & GeoResources, Inc. On Thursday March 4, 2010, 6:00 am EST
HOUSTON & DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GeoResources, Inc., (“GeoResources”) (NASDAQ:GEOI - News) and Resolute Energy Corporation (“Resolute”) (NYSE: REN - News) today announced a joint project to develop acreage in the Bakken Shale Trend of North Dakota, one of the fastest growing oil producing areas in the U.S.
GeoResources has acquired approximately 61,000 gross (42,000 net) leasehold acres in Williams County, North Dakota. Resolute has entered into agreements with GeoResources to acquire a 45% interest in the acreage and GeoResources will retain a 45% interest and operations. It is expected that a third industry partner will participate for the remaining 10%. The parties presently plan to drill at least three horizontal wells in the Middle Bakken formation prior to year end, as well as seek to acquire additional acreage in the area. Recent activity in Williams County has confirmed commercial production in the Middle Bakken formation, which is a primary objective for the joint venture. Secondary objectives include the Three Forks, Madison and the Red River formations.
Frank A. Lodzinski, Chief Executive Officer and President of GeoResources commented, “We are very pleased to announce this joint venture with Resolute. We believe it will provide a meaningful addition to our ongoing Bakken and Three Forks projects, with attractive economic returns that continue to improve with the evolution of enhanced horizontal drilling and multiple-staged stimulation technologies. As demonstrated by our other drilling activities, we are confident that we can exploit our horizontal drilling and completion abilities in the Bakken In addition, the GeoResources and Resolute technical teams firmly believe the acreage position is prospective for drilling opportunities in other formations. We are very excited to work with Resolute, which has a highly experienced management and technical team and an impressive history of exploiting and developing oil and gas properties.”
Lodzinski continued, “We expect this project to contribute to GeoResources’ continued growth and to provide additional visibility and interest. In less than three years we have tripled our production and reserves and consistently expanded our acreage positions and drilling inventory.”
Nicholas J. Sutton, Chairman and CEO of Resolute commented, “This is a significant opportunity to advance our liquids-focused strategy in an area that has a great deal of promise. These high quality assets in North Dakota are oily, large, and are highly prospective. While the Bakken Shale has been well known by oil companies for years, technological improvements have only recently unleashed its potential. With this transaction, we are well placed to take full advantage of what we believe is a meaningful opportunity to continue to add to our oil reserves in a relatively low-risk manner. We are looking forward to working with the GeoResources team, and believe that collectively we have the experience, technology and know-how to develop these assets into substantial production, both in the near-term and over the long run. As we communicated during our IPO last year, Resolute’s focus continues to be on domestic, onshore areas that are liquids-rich and that provide strong economic returns to our shareholders.”

At summit, Obama mostly hears Obama
President Obama pledged to "listen" at the outset of his much-ballyhooed bipartisan health care summit on Thursday. Turns out he meant he'd be listening to his own voice.
By the end of the televised event, Mr. Obama had spoken for 119 minutes - nine minutes more than the 110 minutes consumed by 17 Republicans. The 21 Democratic lawmakers used 114 minutes, giving the president and his supporters a whopping 233 minutes, according to a "talk clock" kept by GOP aides.
From the beginning, no one could agree on anything, even how much time each side had used. When a miffed Sen. Mitch McConnell, the Senate Republican leader, pointed out early on that Democrats had controlled 52 minutes to Republicans' 24, Mr. Obama jumped in to dispute even that.
"I don't think that's quite right," he said.
But then, with a twinkle in his eye, he added: "You're right, there was an imbalance on the opening statements because - I'm the president." Half the room laughed. "I didn't count my time in terms of dividing it evenly."
The two sides faced off in the Blair House's Garden Room, with members of Congress, grouped by party, sitting across from one another in a large square. Throughout the six-hour bloviating blabfest, no fences appeared to be mended and no hatchets buried.
In fact, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi seemed so intractable that neither looked at Sen. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee as he delivered the opening statement for the Republicans. Every time the C-SPAN 3 camera panned to the pair, they were looking straight ahead, expressionless.
Throughout the event, Mr. Obama, a former professor, looked, well, professorial. He listened attentively, his head cocked, his chin raised. He narrowed his eyes in attentiveness at a point here or there, blinking often; he jotted notes in a small book as Republicans spoke; he rested his head on his hand, giving full attention to the speaker.
But each time a Republican sought to break in to rebut a point made by the president or a fellow Democrat, Mr. Obama looked a bit frustrated and made clear who was in charge of the bipartisan discussion.
"Let me just finish, Lamar," he said during his rebuttal to the senator's opening statement. "No, no, no, no. Let me - and this is an example of where we've got to get our facts straight," he said when Mr. Alexander sought to clarify a point.

They don't kiss 0's butt?
Just when you thought Congress couldn't reach a new low, it did.
Only a third of US voters think their Congress members have earned the right to get sent back next year -- a record-low number, a poll released yesterday shows.
Thirty-four percent of voters queried think members of the House and the Senate ought to be re-elected -- while an astonishing 63 percent were in favor of throwing the bums out, the new CNN poll showed.
That's the worst performance for Congress in the history of the network's polling -- the latest red flag for the floundering Democratic leadership as it heads into an anti-incumbent voter wave just eight months before the midterm elections.
"This is not a good year to be an incumbent, regardless of which party you belong to," CNN polling director Keating Holland said.
"Voters seem equally angry at both Republicans and Democrats this year."
And the electorate is unsettled all around. Forty-five percent of the voters say they will back a Democrat in their congressional district, and 47 percent say they will go for the Republican -- whoever that may be in either case.
When it comes just to the House of Representatives, just 51 percent of people believe the member for their district deserves to get re-elected, while 44 percent are giving their reps a thumbs-down, according to the survey.
The numbers show no major party getting a strong advantage.
But Holland said that fact "may hurt the Democrats more because there are more Democratic incumbents."
He added: "It's a change from 2006, when voters concentrated their anger at GOP members of Congress."
On the question of whether current members of the House ought to be re-elected, the numbers are lower than in 1994, when Bill Clinton's presidency suffered mightily as Republicans took control of Congress in a 54-seat swing.
Right now, the Democrats hold a 255-178 edge in the House.
The Republicans are pressing to find challengers for almost any Democrat in marginal districts, given new impetus after Scott Brown's Senate victory for the GOP in Massachusetts.
President Obama isn't doing much to boost his party, either -- with his approval rating at 49 percent. Just 44 percent think he deserves to be re-elected.
The survey was taken from Friday through Monday of 1,023 people and had a 3-percentage- point margin of error.

CNN poll: 52% say Obama doesn't deserve reelection in 2012
By Michael O'Brien - 02/16/10 01:35 PM ET
52 percent of Americans said President Barack Obama doesn't deserve reelection in 2012, according to a new poll.
44 percent of all Americans said they would vote to reelect the president in two and a half years, less than the slight majority who said they would prefer to elect someone else.
Obama faces a 44-52 deficit among both all Americans and registered voters, according to a CNN/Opinion Research poll released Tuesday. Four percent had no opinion.
The reelection numbers are slightly more sour than Obama's approval ratings, which are basically tied. 49 percent of people told CNN that they approve of the way Obama is handling his job, while 50 percent disapprove.
Still, the 2012 election is still a long way's away, with this fall's midterm elections looming large. Republicans are hoping to make inroads into Congress, while Democrats are hoping to hold onto gains won in the 2006 and 2008 cycles.
Respondents to CNN were split at 46 percent as to whether they preferred a generic Republican or Democratic candidate in this fall's elections.
At least one retiring lawmaker is confident Obama will sail to reelection, with Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) predicting Monday the president would win "overwhelmingly" in 2012.
The CNN poll, conducted Feb. 12-15, has a three percent margin of error
