Great news and a surprise unless I missed something.

I guess I was not aware that they were drilling for gas.

You would have to review JWs previous posting record to even try to understand him and if you do please let the rest of us know. He is our resident basher and almost every stock board has one. Sometimes he is even good for a laugh.
cat
I have JW on ignore so I don't know what he is crying about but the information I posted is public knowledge, available to anyone who bothers to call Investor Relations. Mr. Davis has his opinions and I posted what he relayed to me. Guess JW got really upset when we had a green day.
Also, this is a brand new company, not yet discovered by the mono groupes (hope they leave it alone as all they do is mess up the charts)but other investors will discover this gem. Just takes time.
Everyone wants to build Rome in a day, but it just ain't going to happen. I know we will be happy we found NSHV before everyone else.
cat
Glad to see a nice move today and the charts are looking great.
cat
Update - Mr. Davis finally returned my phone calls and we had a good discussion about what has happened to the pps of NSHV. He confirmed that a former NPYC board member has been dumping his shares into the market and that no one from NSHV had sold a share. He said NSHV now has around 2,000 shareholders of record.
He said without the NPYC shares being dumped, he thought this would have been trading at .50 by now.
He said there are PRs waiting to be released but they are waiting for the right time and that those shareholders who were able to take advantage of these prices would be rewarded for their patience.
He said they are very busy with a May 15th deadline to finalize the recording of the XMas album which then goes to manufacturing and printing. Then it goes to the distributors and then to the stores.
Said they will be releasing a Collin Raye single ASAP.
He indicated that they have some nice things in the pipeline.
I was trying to buy more today but couldn't sell another position fast enough. Hopefully tomorrow I can get more.
Congrats to 53 Chevy who snagged those .017s!

If anyone is in contact with Raj, please ask him how long they will be able to drill before the weather halts operations. I read that they drill all winter in Alaska but know the winds in Montana may prohibit that.
Cat
I agree, Collin's "Soldier Prayer" has the right appeal to be a top hit. Further, with all the soldiers we have fighting for our continued freedom, the timing is perfect.

Hi Raw, nice to see you over here. I've been here for awhile, since .20 and am happy to see the action is getting started.

As soon as I am sure VERT is done dumping I am ready to add to my position. Nashville has done everything they said they would do, even launching the new website on time so I have no reason to believe they will not follow thru with their plans. If this doesn't hit .25 by March of 2008, I will sell all my stock and move on but I am prepared to give it a year.
Cat
VERT was back on the ask today and since I have never seen him on the bid, he is dumping shares for someone. He has to run out soon unless he is printing certificates himself!

Very classy looking. I would expect a PR in the next few days announcing the launch.
I would love to know when Collin's album will be launched as they started recording it the 24th of April. Anybody have an idea how long that takes?

Venezuela pulls control from Big Oil
President Hugo Chavez makes an attempt to reclaim resources by taking operational control of the Orinoco Belt.
May 1 2007: 10:53 AM EDT
PUERTO PIRITU, Venezuela (Reuters) -- President Hugo Chavez's government took over Venezuela's last remaining privately run oil fields Tuesday, intensifying a decisive struggle with Big Oil over one of the world's most lucrative deposits.
Oil Minister Rafael Ramirez declared that the oil fields had reverted to state control just after midnight. Television footage showed workers in hard hats raising the flags of Venezuela and the national oil company at a refinery and four drilling fields in the oil-rich Orinoco River basin. Chavez planned a more elaborate celebration Tuesday afternoon with red-clad oil workers, soldiers and a fly over by Russian-made fighter jets.
London-based BP reports a drop in first quarter profits, as expected. CNN's Jim Boulden has the story. (April 24)
The companies ceding control include BP Plc, ConocoPhillips, Exxon Mobil., Chevron, France's Total SA and Norway's Statoil ASA. All but Conoco Phillips have agreed in principle to state control, and Venezuela has warned it may expropriate that company's assets if it doesn't follow suit.
Despite the fanfare, these companies remain locked in a behind-the-scenes struggle with the Chavez government, and appear to be taking a decisive stand, demanding conditions - and presumably compensation - to convince them that Venezuela will continue to be good business.
Eyeopener: Boycott Citgo
Chevron's future in Venezuela "will very much be dependent on how we're treated in the current negotiation," said David O'Reilly, chief executive of the San Ramon, Calif.-based company. "That process is going to have a direct impact on our appetite going forward."
Chavez says the state oil company, PDVSA, is assuming at least 60 percent of each of the Orinoco operations, but has invited the companies to stay as minority partners. They have until June 26 to negotiate the terms, including compensation and reduced stakes.
"We are going to take over some oil fields that have continued to be in the hands of transnationals," Chavez said Sunday, calling it "the last step" in recovering state sovereignty over oil.
Forcing the world's biggest multinational oil companies to cede majority control of their joint operations in Venezuela's most promising oil fields is the culmination of a nationalist drive by Chavez that has increasingly squeezed the industry of profits.
The stakes are high for both sides.
If he can persuade the foreign companies to stay, Venezuela will be on track to develop the planet's largest known oil deposit and possibly surpass Saudi Arabia as the nation with the most reserves. But if he scares them away, the Orinoco River region could end up starved of the investment and know-how needed to transform the Orinoco's tar-lake crude into marketable crude oil.
Big Oil's money machine
While Chavez says state firms from China, India and elsewhere can step in, industry experts doubt they are qualified.
Amid the turmoil, new investment from the private companies has already dried up.
But for the companies, pulling out of the Orinoco would be damaging.
They have invested more than $17 billion in the projects, now estimated to be worth $30 billion. Venezuela has indicated it may just pay the lesser amount, using oil and tax forgiveness to further reduce the cash payout.
But three-quarters of the world's proven reserves are already controlled by state monopolies, so Venezuela may still prove enticing.
Nationalization of the oil industry has been tried in Venezuela before. Venezuela completely shut private companies out of the oil sector between 1975 and 1992 before a series of partial privatizations.

The open in 2008 is just too far away to entice someone to buy and hold for that long. We need franchise news to move this up.
cat
The opening of a 2nd restaurant is great news but for it to take 8 or more months to do it does not make sense. Having been in the restaurant business with 3 restaurants, it took me 7 months to open the 1st but only 3 months to open the 2nd and 3rd. I understand the problems and delays involved in opening restaurant #1, like finding everything you need, signs, equipment, decor, etc. but once the basics are in place it should not take that long to open additional locations.
Another factor to consider is the rent. I sure hope he negotiated no or low rent until he gets open.
cat
That makes a lot more sense than having to open numerous restaurants. I would guess he would have to pay UWNK for the next restaurant but it would not be $40,000, my guess would be more like $25,000 to $30,000.
cat
OK - let's sort this out - old as in the past the boomer crowd or just longtime stockholders as in owners since Feb.
New - as new to NVMG and the IHUB board or young as just out of school.
Don't matter, we are all here with our oars in the water pushing the same boat.
cat
UWM has always had the reputation as a "party" school and I agree, however a lot of those students leave for the summer. But it is also the state capitol and loaded with lawyers, etc.
It would be a great location for a UWNK but my guess is that it would need to be a 10,000 sq. ft. restaurant as the weather is not great for outside dining.
I was there to do some research about 1990 in the summer and could not find a single restaurant for lunch that did not take over an hour and unless you want to eat at 11:00, prepare to wait. This is now 17 yrs later and the city has grown.
cat
WOW, LA region. So how many UWNKS did he have to promise to open?
cat
Madison, Wisconsin is not the middle of nowhere but a great state capitol and college town where I attended college. Green Bay, Wisconsin, home of the Packers is not in the middle of nowhere. I could not see either of these locations supporting more than one UWNK, but then Nolan is probably trying to sell the whole state to one franchisee and I don't see anyone committing to 5 or 6 restaurants in Milwaukee and other locations like the two mentioned above. Then you are talking some 10 million + $$.
Just because you live in LA, maybe you are not aware of other great big towns or small cities.
cat
WDCO raised the ask to .025 and Level II looks like all the trades today were buys. Hopefully he is running out of cheap shares. NITE sitting on the ask at .04 and blue sky from there.
cat
Sorry, I'm new at bashing and a failure at that! Anyhow nice to see I created a bit of excitement as this board has been somewhat boring as of late.
cat
I understand the regional/multi unit desire, but there are many locations that cannot support more than one UWNK.
I am wondering if UWNK has a projected population figure that it takes to support each UWNK. I can see multiple units in large cities like Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, etc. But what about locations that have less than 200,000 population?
Actually I have a hard time bashing UWNK as I own the stock although not all of my original position. I did not sell all because I like all of you, believe Nolan will be able to perform his Chuck E Cheese magic soon.
Cat
Great idea to keep us up to date.
HMPG along with most of the oil & gas stocks not doing well today. Wonder who got those cheapies at .31.

It should be obvious by now what we need....
Every fresh 52 week high was made after a new set of bashers showed up to warn us about impending doom.
We haven't had the latest set show up yet. When they do, we'll cross $3 within a week.
OK I'm here. If I bash will we cross $3???
Cat
I guess I got to thinking about the delay in franchise sales when a new Popye's opened near us. I managed to spend a few minutes with the owner and asked him how long it took. He told me he applied for the franchise the end of Jan. Once approved he found a location (a former restaurant) and it took him 2 weeks to finalize the lease. He opened mid April and is up and running.
Now I realize that a UWNK could not be opened that quickly due to all the technology installations required, but my point here is that he was quickly approved, got his lease, and was open in less than 4 months. BUT, it took him only 2 weeks for his franchise application approval so I don't understand why UWNK has not announced a franchise approval/sale. I don't care when the franchisee gets up and running, but at least let us know that they have approved/sold one in four months.
Cat
http://floatingaway.blogs.com/weblog/2007/04/floating_away_r.html
I did not write this review but maybe he has a point.
My point is Nolan said "quickly" expand and maybe I don't understand the word quickly. Chuck E Cheese franchises sold "quickly" and this is not the case with UWNK.
Cat
It's been "Showtime" since the first franchise purchasers were at the grand opening back in Oct., almost six months ago. Time to Show us something here. Tomorrow is the beginning of May and I know I didn't think we would all be hanging here this long with no news.
Nolan appears to be all show and no go!

Investors are Pouring Millions of Dollars into Nashville's Country Music Market
Investors are pouring millions of dollars into new country music artists, independent labels, and production of upcoming talent in Nashville with overwhelming success. Billboard author Ken Tucker predicts the rise of the independent country label to superstar status in the next two years. During a recent week in November, a full third of all the songs listed in Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart were from independent labels. This was unheard of even 5 years ago. www.billboard.biz From Billboard, page 26 December 9, 2006 issue of Billboard Magazine
Nashville, New York, Hollywood (PRWEB) December 22, 2006 -- With over $13 billion dollars spent on an ever increasing music market last year, and the stock market at its highest level in history, investors have poured over $3 trillion dollars in the entertainment industry. Country music continues to lead the markets with investors finding more and more acts at younger ages to put their money into. The number of country music listeners has grown in major metropolitan areas during this past year from 21% to 26% according to the Country Music Association. Country music leads all other genres of music and has since 1992 (fourteen years).
Sales revenues from country music have quadrupled since 2000, far surpassing the average of a 10% per year increase over the past seven years. According to Pollstar Magazine, this year marks the first time in history that seven country music artists are found in the top money making tours world wide, all in the top 25 money makers were Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw & Faith Hill and Toby Keith's tour. George Strait's tours are categorized separately against the largest rock & pop acts in the business. Strait is an industry unto himself making more money than all other artists combined.
It's all about the right song
The top grossing country tours were up 16.4% over last year, grossing $158.4 million dollars in ticket sales for the year and up some $22.3 million dollars from the previous year. The CMA awards show was again the highest rated television show on ABC Monday night during its reign over the other networks for the past several years. CBS Network thought so much of the power of the country audience, it recently spent $1.55 billion dollars to purchase The Nashville Network (TNN/CMT). The Spike Network now has 78 million households and sister network CMT has 38 million households. This was a bold move by SONY/CBS and was heralded by Wall Street and the financial world as a positive investment in the future of "Hillbilly Hollywood." Garth Brooks as a solo male artist has surpassed the 150 million mark in record sales, making him the best selling solo artist in American Music History, surpassing even the sales records of The Eagles. Brooks continues to lead all country acts in a Wal-Mart frenzy of sales and income from all sources.
Country radio each week has 43 million Americans tuned in to their radio stations, leading all radio formats in the United States for the most listened to music in America. Country radio has more 18-24 year old listeners than any other format of music. The first ever free standing advertising supplement for country music reached 100 million households during the year as Fan Fair 2007 again sold out in two hours. Clear Channel Radio, Infinity, Citadel, and the major radio chains have made more money in country music in the past five years than any other format of music.
Big Machine Records has been heralded as the most successful of all the new Independent Record labels in Nashville. Big Machine President Scott Borchetta leans heavily on his past experience, including executive stints at MCA and Dreamworks. "We're taking a lot of our own personal research and development...about how to compete out of the box at the highest level," says Borchetta who counts Jack Ingram and Taylor Swift among his roster of talent. At Equity Records, "Our artists maintain ownership of their own masters," GM Mike Kraski is quoted as an absolute must for a country music artist. Former Sony Music Nashville President Allen Butler has started his own indie label. Montage is now the home of Little Texas, Andy Griggs, and others. Borchetta says one way that his label remains cost effective is that "We're not too top heavy with executives. I don't have to check with New York or LA. My crew walks in, we talk about something and either we do it or we don't. There's not a long drawn out process."
Bob Freese, GM of Navarre distribution says, "Our biggest selling titles this year are without a doubt country records. Broken Bow's GM Howell says, "I still believe that anybody can have a hit on any given day. With the right song, the right artist and the right people working the record, regardless of the record label, you can have a hit." One of the companies developing talent for this upsurge of indie success is the production team of Legends Hall Of Fame producer, Robert Metzgar & Charles E Fach, Jr. in Nashville. Fach was the day to day operations manager of Mercury Records in New York for 26 years. Platinum Plus Universal develops talent to pitch to the ever growing list of successful independent labels and major label imprints that sign the talent coming to Nashville to record. A demo album now costs about $35,000 to complete in a major studio and a major label project can be done for about $150,000 with videos shot on 16 mm film completed for a budget of $45-50,000 thousand dollars.
"It's all about the right song," says MCA Universal producer, Robert Metzgar who has been working in production for over 30 years. He recently got several songs from Pop Record Producer Scott Storch (Storch produced the latest Paris Hilton album) who is also a songwriter. Metzgar looks for songs in every nook and cranny in Nashville, New York, and Hollywood for the list of talent he develops each year. He recently produced the "Humanitarian Album Of The Year" which features 20 artists who donated their music to the Autism Society of America. The album was paid for by Captain D's Restaurants, and sponsored by Billy Bob's (World's largest Honky Tonk) and the Nashville Palace. All the proceeds assist autistic children through the ASA.
NBC Universal, Sony/BMG Entertainment, Warner Brothers, Sun Records, and other country music companies that have gone public or have plans to go public, have proven to be a great stock investment for the public investor. The stock in the country music community has been driven up by extraordinary successes. Look at the amazing multi-billion dollar acquisition of NBC Television this past year by UNIVERSAL and General Electric and it's climb to the top of the list of companies showing profits world-wide and one can easily see why so many millions of dollars have been spent to back even independent and unknown artists into the spotlight. Investors have seen their stocks actual value increase by over 18% in the last year alone (DJIA 12,471.32 Markets 2006) and many who sponsored individual artists and their recordings have turned seven times their original investment (NASDAQ Markets) in just the past five years. This doesn't even take into account the dividends paid or the long term appreciation of a country music master recording. Investing in country music is a win-win situation for everyone involved from the artist to the producer who develops the talent.
From all indications, the success will continue into the next millennium with female acts beginning to sell records like the huge male stars of years gone by. Female acts have all had multi-platinum success and the "year of the woman" has finally arrived in country music. Metzgar was quoted in the Toronto Star as saying, "When you cut me, I bleed George Jones and Alan Jackson." His past predictions of the success of country music have come to pass with the most aggressive investment schedule in country music labels taking place during the past 12 months. "I see nothing on the horizon but continued success for the indie label and especially the country music artist," Metzgar predicts for the new year of 2007.

WDCC still controlling things sitting on the ask at .022. Again, WDCC has never been on the bid so he is stll selling NPYC shares.
The bid has been raised to .019 with VNDM wanting shares at .019 and he is asking .16. LOL
I am waiting until Monday to see the new website and then will consider adding more shares.

Storms Hit Midwest, Injuring at Least Seven
High Winds Toss Patrol Car Over Three-Foot Fence
By TOM COYNE
AP
LAPORTE, Ind. (April 27 ) - Storms with high winds rushed across four states Thursday, spawning tornadoes in Tennessee and Illinois and tossing a patrol car over a 3-foot-high fence in Indiana. At least seven people were injured.
A sheriff's detective was following a funnel cloud when the winds tossed her car over the fence and dropped it upside down on a field, LaPorte County Sheriff Mike Mollenhauer said.
Detective Shayna Mireles suffered a cut to her head and some bumps and bruises, he said.
The sheriff said he couldn't believe the cruiser was lifted over the fence. He said, "I don't think I would have believed it unless I'd seen it."
The storm cell was among several thunderstorms that moved across the state. The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for much of northern Indiana, but damage was not reported in any other areas.
In New Tazewell, Tenn., at least seven people were injured by debris after an apparent tornado touched down. The tornado destroyed at least three mobile homes, two houses and downed trees and power lines.
A tornado touched down about 10 miles west of Crossville, Tenn., damaging trees, buildings and peeling off the roof of an unoccupied trailer, authorities said. No injuries were reported there.
Authorities said they expected there would be more damaged homes and buildings were expected to be found by emergency crews going into Friday morning.
In Plainfield, Ill., a small tornado tore off parts of a nursing home's roof, flipped over a minivan and damaged several homes but no injuries were reported, authorities said.
In rural Brown County in southwest Ohio, Donna Young's front porch was blown about 50 feet from her house, she said.
"It was a nice, railed, country covered porch," she said. The storm "came from the south and just picked the porch to take out."
The National Weather Service issued tornado warnings for several counties in southern Ohio.
Tammy Cochran--When "Angels In Waiting" emerged as an unlikely country anthem in 2001, it provided a telling blueprint for Tammy Cochran's career.
"Angels" was not intended to be a single. She had to fight to keep it on her debut album. But it became an anthem for many Americans, such a strong symbol of hope that her name appeared five times on the finalists list for the Academy of Country Music Awards, making her the most-nominated female in the business.
The song delivered her dream by relating an honest tale from her own life. Written about her two brothers, Shawn and Alan, who sadly died from cystic fibrosis. Her first outing certainly achieved positive results. Even as "Angels In Waiting" and her follow-up hit "I Cry" established her with the general public, Cochran earned accolades from the critical media, which compared her most often to country icons Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn. Billboard magazine suggested that she "could become one of the format's true torchbearers," while Entertainment Weekly enthused, "A star is born."
Meanwhile, she lived out her "leave something positive behind" philosophy. Moved by her two brothers' struggle with cystic fibrosis, she used the "Angels" video to increase awareness of the disease, and she became an ambassador for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
