Document Security (DSS +4.4%) expects to record a $7M impairment charge for its 60% stake in IP owner VirtualAgility, following an adverse USPTO ruling.
Last week, the USPTO ruled 21 claims in a VirtualAgility patent asserted in an infringement suit against Salesforce are unpatentable, and also denied VirtualAgility's request for a motion to amend the challenged claims.
Too late.

I don't venture out to retail stores too often, however, today was one of those rare occasions. I stopped by at a Target store to buy a gift for my grandson.
While walking sround I observed the early marketing of Halloween and Christmas decprations and other holiday paraphernalia. Sadly, no lighted wall hangings with pumpkins or Santa coming from Oryon Technologies. Too bad they don't get it.
Everything you say is valid. However, as this market expands we will have more dispensaries and more production/growing facilities. We will take on more debt in order to build our infrastructure. So what? That is exactly what growing companies do. The issue here is how soon do you expect a return. If you believe it's coming in 2015 you'd do yourself a solid to abandon right now. This is long term. This is going to take 5 years orore, but it should be worth the wait.
So. Let me get this straight. You made a mistake and invested and now you're upset with the company because you misread the S-1?
Are you invested in TRTC?
I am a TRTC investor, that is true. I invested knowing full well this will be an uphill battle. However, you are wrong with your assumption. I was attracted to TRTC because it appears DP knows how to think out of the box. You, on the other hand, seem to be stuck on the idea that the solid gold can't be broken into smaller pieces and hauled away. I see TRTC in the light of the earliest gold miners of 1849. A new adventure in a new industry. You can stay on the dock and maybe watch us sink. But you might just see us sale away on a Galleon of gold.
One. You just take two trips.
You paint a scenario in which you think you've provided all variables, however you've missed at least one important one. The rock, which the boat will pull from the harbor has a magical guality you've gorgotten about. Somehow, once you harvest the rock, another one reappears every 12 weeks. As time progresses, the boat starts making profits because of the 4 harvests each year. Eventually you buy a bigger boat with the profits and you reduce your costs. You also discover other harbors with rocks of gold that you can harvest 4 times a year. Now you have more boats and more gold.
PPS looking good for re entry.

Thank you for caring. That is a very kind gesture. It is quite uncommon, these days, for people to care about the lives of strangers. You are obviously a special sort of person, exhibiting such generous concern. You are truly altruistic. You have inspired me to shed all of my holdings in TRTC. Thank Allah for your timely intrusion. Bless you.
Why do "THEY" keep posting here if "THEY" relinquished "THEIR" position months ago. Since "THEY" aren't shareholders anymore, WE don't care about "THEIR" opinion.

Huge purchase at end of day today. Someone knows something good.
Buying more next week. Big tobacco may end up ruling the Marijuana roost, but I'm betting against it for several key reasons. 1. The tendency so far is local governments picking small producers
2. The Federal Government hasn't legalized yet, therefore big tobacco is unlikely to risk any involvement that jeopardizes their legit businesses.
3. Most pot smokers I've met are more liberal and shy away from big corporate entities.
Good point. I guess any exposure can help. Was just reading comments to that article and seems like it was posted on a Conservative website. Lots of posts condemning pot as evil. Funny how these same folks never rage out against alcohol. Too bad for them. Pot will be legalized thoughout America under the next Democrat in the Presidency. Maybe even Obama will legalize on his way out.
Warren Buffet is NOT joining us. Not yet, anyway. His company wants to SELL us stuff. When Buffet buys TRTC stock you can shout from the rooftops, but please wait till then.
Doubled my position last week. Holding now.

Intel officially launches 14nm Core M CPUs
Yesterday 12:49 PM ET • INTC
Four weeks after providing technical details for its Core M notebook/tablet CPUs, Intel (INTC +0.5%) has officially launched them.
Initial systems based on Core M, the first CPU line to leverage Intel's 14nm Broadwell architecture, are due in October. Dell, H-P, Lenovo, and Asus are among the OEMs launching systems this year.
Intel asserts Core M "enables up to 50 percent faster compute performance and 40 percent faster graphics performance" than comparable 22nm Haswell CPUs. Core M parts are also said to be 50% smaller, and to require 60% less thermal power.
Intel, which is looking to enable converged devices that deliver PC-like performance in tablet-like form factors, has already promised certain Core M CPUs will enable fanless ~10" devices that are only 8mm-10mm thick. A slide picked up by AnandTech shows Intel estimates a CPU running a 10.1" tablet that's only 8mm thick should have a max power draw of less than ~4W. For a 13.3" tablet, the figure rises to ~5W.
The launch of Core M/Broadwell extends Intel's manufacturing process lead over AMD (AMD +0.1%), which has been trying to lower its PC dependence. While Broadwell lines use a 14nm process, AMD's Kaveri (desktop), Kabini (notebook), and Beema/Mullins (notebook/tablet) lines use 28nm processes from TSMC and Globalfoundries.
I have nothing against AMD. Took profits several months agi and I've been watching to get back in. Simply misunderstood the 4d statement he made. I like Rory Reed, he's done a nice job with AMD and he made me some money. But the 14 nm news fron Intel puts alot more pressure on him. Watching from outside right now.
I read your post twice and fail to see how your opinion differs. The product has potential, the management, not so much. I'm not sure how this is going to go but this technology isn't going to end here, unless someone comes up with something better. Personally I still believe the best way to get this ball rolling is to target a simple crowd with disposable cash. Halloween is the holiday that most peoplr spend on THEMSELVES. This product could be designed as Halloween and Christmass decorations. That's a Billion dollar industry and common golks will ALWAYS buy something new and different during the holidays. I'm not saying that's the major market, I'm saying that's how you get a foothold to profitability.

My apologies to Mick. Was not aware of the moniker for this technology, but it really is not 4D. Still, if thats the name they are using for it, you are right, and I am wrong.
Looks like its dropping like a rock.
Just stating facts, 4d printers don't exist and if you state that they do then your opinion about stocks is questionable. Sort of like if I said Chrysler stock is up because of 4 wheel drive vehicle sales and Flying car sales.
Please learn physics before commenting.
Yes. I'm fully aware of 3 d printers. The question was a bout 4D printers, which don't exist and probably NEVER will.
A 4 d printer? Makes me question your knowledge of AMD and the industry. Just saying.

Exactly what happened after prohibition ended. People were accustomed to a particular pattern and stayed with it until it was broken up by the Government or they got fed up with its unreliability. Legalization of MJ does not mean streetsellers are legal, they will continue to face consequences. Over time people will fall into the legal way of doing business and illegal pot business will diminish.
Geez. Now I know that Laughingpaulryan lives in my neighborhood. Guess I have to move.
That big spike early this afternoon tells me there's somebody out there that got a heads up on the outcome. That momentary 10 cent increase registered thousands of dollars and looked real nice. Nice enough for a bunch of people to short their shares. Don't short your shares. Maybe Supercom will buy out DSS. Yep, anybody can start rumors.
The States are in violation of standing Federal law. That's very true. The Obama administration has turned a blind eye to it. The only thing that could derail this would be a REPUBLICAN Presidency in 2016. Oddly, however, most Republicans have been quiet about this issue. Wonder why? Maybe it has to do with the fact that potsmokers in America consist of both Republicans and Democrats. Maybe it has to do with the fact that taxation of this product will generate revenue while the failed war on drugs COST us revenue. One thing you can be totally sure about is Federal law is going to change. Better buy your shares now!
Can't find anything about it, but did find this.

I'm in total agreement. The product has great potential with unlimited applications. I'm sure costs of production were an issue, but mass production could reduce costs significantly. Seemed to me they got stuck early on and felt the main market would be safety products. That was a huge mistake during an economic downturn to limit your concentration to a specialty market.

Thanks, Midas. Watching this grow. Will be listening on Monday. Have a great weekend.
