InterDigital will showcase two platforms, EdgeLink™ 60Hz Platform and Flexible IP-based Services Platform (FLIPS), that have been used in global field trials in conjunction with projects that include 5G-Crosshaul, 5TONIC, Bristol is Open, FLAME, PAWR, and 5G-Transformer, among others.
5G Air Interface: The millimeter wave (mmWave) air interface is one of the key new technologies being introduced into 3GPP’s 5G NR standard. The company will show its contribution to the Open Air Interface Alliance, fundamental concepts enabling mmWave 5G integration with the existing LTE standard in non-standalone mode.
5G Video Experience: As an active contributor to the next generation video standard development, InterDigital will demonstrate an end-to-end 360 video live streaming platform with AR capabilities built on a series of state-of-the-art video standards.
5G Networks: The major trend in 5G networks is that of combining connectivity, computing and storage resources into a rich fabric of networked elements, implementing network-based as well as terminal-based software functions.
