Shareholders meeting scheduled for June 10, 2010. If you are a share holder and haven't received your notice and invitation to vote please contact your broker.
You have a chance to vote online prior to the meeting. Do not share the link publically or you may find you are in violation of a few SEC rules.
Man that's a low float! Thank you for the confirmation.
I've been working on some research regarding the length of time it takes to get a mine up and producing from this very young preliminary exploration stage and will share my results once I've completed my research.
My best guess at this point is that this mine could be 6 months away from working a prelimiary production mine. So far my research is still in a gathering stage. I would be willing to bet that we are no more than 2 years away from mid-scale production though.
There are myriad factors that can speed up or slow down the process. I truly hope the company can answer some questions about the production plans in the near future.
PMU. Way undervalued.
Decent volume to start the day. I am liking my jump in more and more as I watch L2. It'll be interesting if any MMs are able or willing to jump in on this.
Good morning. Just dove in for a small position (1253) and am looking forward to holding this one. Interesting company to be sure, scary too :)
Good morning CNEXers. I called and spoke with Mickey Mouse yesterday and he says that CNEX is going up all the way to Pluto. I hope he didn't mean the dog.
The guy is lying: plain and simple. He boasts about the info he has and this inside knowledge he has gained from making phone calls and then refuses to share the info to provide proof of his claims.
Ignore him; it has made my day more enjoyable. Just click on his name and click the ignore user button on his profile. That is advice I will sstand by without any disclaimer :)
That's a pretty good indicator of shorts buying back.
It's nice to see CSTI in the mix now, but it looks as though their algorithm is still watching this as their ask is out of kilter. Unless they shorted earlier and I didn't catch it...
I'm sorry that you are correct for the moment.
That gap will fill as soon as the ask gets hit a bit.
Is this your company? I mean, is Greenarrowstock you?
When will you (they) be submitting the questionairre?
Good morning CNEXers.
Definition of "Float":
from investopedia:
What Does Float Mean?
The total number of shares publicly owned and available for trading. The float is calculated by subtracting restricted shares from outstanding shares.
A float can also refer to a small portion of the money supply representing a balance that is simultaneously present in a buyers and a payers account. A float results from the delay occurring between the time that a cheque is written and the money actually being deducted from the writer's account. These balances are temporarily double counted as part of the overall money supply.
Investopedia explains Float
For example, a company may have 10 million outstanding shares, but only seven million are trading on the stock market. Therefore, this company's float would be seven million.
Stocks with small floats of less than seven million shares tend to be a lot more volatile than others.
from Wikipedia:
In finance, the free float of a company is defined as those shares that are readily available for trading. The concept of free float is particular important for assigning a weight to a listed company in the calculation of an index.
In practice the readily available shares is calculated by subtracting the number of restricted shares from the total number of shares in issue for a particular company. The definition of restricted shares varies depending on the particular index being calculated.
In general the definition for restricted shares include some or all of the following categories:
Promoters holdings
Government holdings
Directors holdings
Strategic holdings
Shares listed on a different exchange
Share holdings larger than a certain percentage (e.g. 5%)
The use of free float has been adopted by all major index providers namely MSCI, FTSE, S&P and STOXX.
Free float is an important issue for smaller companies which commonly have several strategic shareholders and where directors can be significant shareholders.
The use of free float in the calculation of an index is useful for performance measurement as it provides a benchmark more closely related to what money managers can actually buy.
It's all predicated on interest and investor hunger. I would love to see this hit a dollar, but I'll be happy to get out with just some profit-taking and riding freebies.
Great read. I try very hard to follow those rules in my OTC trading and when I don't I have been left bag-holding a few times.
The number one rule that I use is: Play with RISK CAPITAL only. If I have to reduce my lifestyle to play a stock then it's not risk capital I'm spending. If I have to take out baseball money to buy 50000 more shares in order to ride a play then I am not playing smart.
All stocks (not just pinkies) have risk. Pinkies just realize that risk faster and more-violently than mid-caps and above.
Please ask them the estimated length of time until the mine begins production. Also, who would be the actual mining company.
You're welcome... 81498 at the ask... Now I'm completely out of dry powder.
HOLY GAPPER!
It will back fill, but that was dang nice.
4 minutes until the bell and the big gap on L2 is still there.
ask .003
bid .0019
I think that would be great, but that is a helluva rise following yesterday's gains. I think we'll see some profit-taking today and some sideways trading. I've been wrong before though and I hope I'm wrong here. At least, I hope I'm wrong after my order fills :)
Good morning CNEXers. I've got a fever and the only cure is more cowbell!
If "Substantial" deposits are discovered and estimated gold and other mineral to be extracted is even mediocre this could hit a dollar. Now, that big IF is predicated on many things not the least of which is the company not realeasing more shares and diluting the heck out of this.
NITE wears shorts shorts... grrr... shorting bastages. Not nearly as bad as before, but you can watch them flip to each other keeping the pps down.
if you click on their name you can click the "ignore poster" button on their info page. I find it useful, but sometimes makes it hard to follow conversations on the boards.
He's an all-caps typer. Just ignore him. Ignore all the all-caps typers.
Just did.
This has been a fun morning going into lunch. It's nice to see this go up after watching it dive for the past three weeks.
Congrats Carnac!
You should falafal about that comment.
Hrmmm... NITE just gapped itself.
Good morning CNEXers. Hope to have a beautiful day here in pinkyland. Best of luck for a increase in pps. L2 looks sweet for the moment, but we all know that's just because they MM programs haven't synhed yet...
Welcome and join in when you can. I was in THRR prior to the first bump and got out at .0027. It just tumbled from there. I have been watching it though and now I kinda wish I had held on.
Yum; I'll take two helpings please.
I too am curious about the redbeans and rice. Please post a pick and mail samples to me and cbrad. Smitty may want a taste as well.
If we can't make CNEX rise by will alone we can add our bean-powered fuel to the fire also.
Where are you getting 261 million float?
I'm a true Texan and dinner is dinner and supper is lunch; unless you're from Dallas and then it's all just some snobby, big silver jewelry and big hair festival of awfulness.
We do eat supper in Texas. You Yankees call it lunch.
Is there a "ban people who post in all caps", button? Or an ignore poster button? iHub gets those features and I will buy 100000 shares of iHub stock. :)
Good morning. Interesting day ahead of us; I've got my fingers crossed that this turns.
