ORBC (1.92) - undervalued here - huge balance sheet - tangibles around 150m just reported, market cap 1/2 that. $50m insurance settlement should be coming on failed satellites - huge buyer stepped in last week and set things off - target $3-3.50
ORBC worthy of mention - huge balance sheet - tangibles around 150m just reported, market cap 1/2 that. $50m insurance settlement should be coming on failed satellites - huge buyer stepped in last week and set things off - target $3-3.50
WSTL (0.50) undervalued and close to breakout, just looking to get through blocks in the low 50's - huge balance sheet - 0.64c in cash alone, tangible assets 84 million with a market cap of 35 million! The company is 'worth' $1.2 right now if someone just came along and bought it outright. They should also report additional unrecognized revenue of about 20 million next quarter over the normal Q numbers which should show a big pop in comparable years. Insiders buying for a year as well. It's way too cheap and recent surge in volume says its ready to burst. Easy double from this point, with little risk of the bottom falling out.
Thanks Augusta for the board recommend, I see this is already on the recommend list - I've been on it since 0.27 - insane how cheap they let some of these get!

We are also independently developing novel, orally-active pharmaceutical products for the treatment of certain central nervous system disorders, including disorders such as narcolepsy, excessive daytime sleepiness, and chronic fatigue associated with Parkinson’s disease or other conditions, as well as other potential indications such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and other cognitive disorders such as schizophrenia. These programs are focused on the development of potent, selective histamine H3 receptor antagonist compounds that act by elevating levels of neurotransmitters in the sleep and cognitive centers of the brain and stimulating neurological tone. This elevation results in an enhanced state of wakefulness and cognition, without causing hyperactivity, excessive “rebound” sleepiness or addiction. The histamine H3 receptor antagonists being developed at Athersys represent a new class of drugs that could have an improved efficacy and safety profile relative to existing drugs used for the treatment of a range of conditions that affect cognitive ability, attention or wakefulness.

REV - huge earnings beat - should see afternoon push and +2 within a day or two
I know there are a few canuck traders here - check CTS.v on the venture - cheapest legit swine play out there - thermal imaging, just received an order already with lots of call-ups and had lots of spinoff business from SARS. Would likely be over $1 if it was otc, mainstream US exchange...still can trade on pinks though - ticker CRIFX. Profitable 2007 and no debt.
Fact sheet here:
http://www.cantronics.com/images/stories/pdfs/Cantronic_Fact_sheet_11_08.pdf
CTS - Thermal imaging - cheapest swine play to confirm business spinoff already from this. They came alive during sars - 2 hard spikes into the 0.40's...started seeing consistent sales after that scare, and will likely see more focus this time around. Strong profitable 2007 and no debt currently.
Related PR - spiked to 0.29 yesterday with small viewing audience. The key I think is even if swine dies off, they will be in spotlight for awhile and will likely see significant sales increase over next 2 years. All of the vaccine plays however, will die off.
Cantronic Systems Inc. Delivers Its FeverScan M3000D Camera System to El Salvador in an Effort to Combat the Possible Spread of Swine Flu
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(MARKET WIRE)--Apr 28, 2009 -- Cantronic Systems Inc., ("Cantronic" or the "Company") (CDNX:CTS.V - News) announced today that it has delivered its state-of-the-art FeverScan M3000D dual vision thermal imaging camera system to El Salvador, at the request of the Salvadoran government. This fever scanning and monitoring system will be installed immediately at the San Salvador Comalapa International Airport in an effort to combat the possible spread of Swine flu.
The FeverScan M3000D system works by reading the facial temperature of people within its view. It is a non-invasive mass screening tool that health officials can use to single out people who need closer examinations. Individuals with elevated body temperatures above a predefined value, such as in the case of a fever, can be visually identified and then further assessed by health personnel.
"The Salvadoran government's request to use Cantronic's FeverScan M3000D is a testament to the quality and reliability of the type of products we have to offer in today's high demanding environment for safety and security," stated James Zahn, President and CEO of Cantronic Systems Inc., "The Swine Flu is a serious health and safety issue which we are confident and hopeful to assist the El Salvadoran government and others with containing the large scale spread of it."
Fever scanning systems were first implemented for use at airports during the 2003 SARS outbreak, and demand for this type of thermal screening has increased. Cantronic's FeverScan system is used in airports in Asia and the Caribbean, and the Salvadoran government recognizes the importance in preventing the possible spread of Swine Flu through closely monitoring the heath of travellers to and from the country."

Possible swine deaths now in California - all hell will break loose if this gets confirmed. Expect all the plays to pop again and likely climb while these results get sorted out. Deaths in developed country WAY bigger deal than deaths in a developing country.

EFUT - well, if you want the ultimate bottom line - that works too:
The Company converted US$5 million notes in 2007 and US$4 million notes in 2008, representing a total conversion of 90%. The expenses related to converting the remaining 10% will be US$0.9 million.
Ok, so lets assume worse case they convert rest this year and total of $1.2 million for the notes/interest etc etc - that means gaap net would be $3.7m to $4.7m - or eps $1.41 to $1.79 - that is still forward PE of 6-8 - yet, now, since you want to compare net to net, you are looking at what?? from -$1.43 to maybe $1.75?? That's huge! PE 10 is certainly reasonable, more like 15 - fair price $20-30
Personally, I don't care about that - when I look at growth, I look at growth through operations - it looks like at least 100% earnings growth, 35%+ revenue growth - find me something like that in todays market!
First time in a long time EFUT has looked attractive to me.
EFUT they only report non-gaap (not all companies report gaap earnings) - comparable to prior years are apples to apples - so 100%+ eps (non-gaap) growth will be a fact.
EFUT guidance:
2009 Guidance
In 2009, eFuture plans to focus upon continued execution on its growth strategy, which consists of a combined organic and acquisitive approach. eFuture will continue to solidify its core enterprise software business and forge into new frontiers of eService and investing.
eFuture expects its 2009 total revenues to be in the range of approximately US$27 million to US$28 million, representing annual growth of 33% to 38% over 2008. Adjusted EBITDA (non-GAAP) is expected to be in the range of approximately US$4.9 million to US$5.9 million. This forecast is a current and preliminary view and is subject to change.

EFUT ($10) may be explosive on guidance - $1.86 - $2.24 eps expected this year - puts forward PE 4.4-5.3 - likely 50% undervalued.
PURE - swine PR out on the weekend - has mostly been overlooked, but was a big runner during bird flu
VICL - solid swine play as well late out of gate - ran to $7.50 during bird flu
* A one-component H5 version of Vical's vaccine provided complete protection from death in mice against lethal challenge with the H5N1 influenza virus. A prior Vical publication showed that one-component H3 or H1 vaccines also provided complete protection from death in mice against lethal challenge with H3N2 or H1N1 strains of influenza virus.
