Wells Fargo ($WFC) announced an agreement with Zurich American Insurance, a subsidiary of Zurich Insurance, to sell its crop insurance business. The deal, which is estimated to be priced between $675 million and $1.05 billion, is likely to close by the end of the first quarter of 2016.
Sotheby’s ($BID) announced the appointment of board member Dennis Weibling as its interim CFO, effective January 1st, 2016. Weibling will replace current CFO Patrick McClymont, who is stepping down on December 31st to pursue other opportunities.
Knight Transportation ($KNX) lowered its fourth quarter earnings guidance to 31-33 cents per share from 36-38 cents per share. The company attributed the predicament to weakness at its trucking and logistics segments, higher than expected driver pay inflation and a softening used equipment market that would result in a smaller than expected gain on sales of used equipment.
BlackBerry ($BBRY) reported a narrower than adjusted loss for its third quarter and its revenues also beat estimates. The company said it continues to expect positive free cash flow and adjusted EBITDA for 2016.
Ascent Retail Group ($ASNA -2.21%) rallied nearly 5% in after-hours trading after the company reported a new $200 million stock buyback program.
Noodles & Company ($NDLS) is now trading back up near $11. NDLS is a buy below $10.
China Bull 3x ($YINN) rallied from the $15's on Monday to the $18's on Wednesday. Buy YINN below $14 for the long term.
