3 month chart is FINALLY a perfect hockey stick!
(i hope i'm wrong, but for once, i might be right)
BP hasn't bought any shares. they can pick up scraps much cheaper soon enough if there isn't a mindblowing PR within a couple of weeks. Do you think they would want to answer to their BODs over PPHM purchases last week for 4 times what the price will be Wednesday, particularly if they have insider knowledge from due diligence (which would not even allow them to buy legally right now)??
WAKE UP
The volume since tuesday was probably some kind of HF trading/derivative action having little to do with PPHM IP market value.
there are all kinds of arguments for where this goes, but at the moment, it's Advantage Dew/AF/Realist etc.
as has been the case for years.
thanks, vin...i'll take another look
understanding and appreciating that this board has a skeptical undertone...
what are some of the phase II trials folks here feel have the best potential for breakthroughs, and are any of them coming from 'smaller' outfits that aren't already wildly overpriced?
I'm not looking for a pumper's attitude in any reponses...had enough of that elsewhere
not moving because massive dilution is coming if a partnership can't be salvaged within a few months. While this could rebound sharply with one great PR any minute, today's $1.10 could be $.80 or less in a flash. Pros don't wear rose-colored glasses.
no more 'investing' here for me...only 'trading', as I should have learned waaaay back.
on pphm, yet again..
any chance the high number of censored patients could improperly include patients the CRO found that they screwed up?
johnny
took the words right out of my mouth. carbon copy for me.
difficult not to get defensive right about now.
what are the odds that a randomly lame-brained screw-up would deliver the results that were reported vs. having an intentionally manipulated misleading result produce those results?
if it's not criminal enterprise, we have a new world-record for a series of errors that coincidentally produced stunning results.
or revised results, if acheivable, could be close to what was reported?
do we know for sure that the problems had nothing to do with the control?
assuming all of the mixups were in the 2 bavi arms, the messed up data management could have missed a triggered MOS in in one dosage, but the other would probably go up if that was the case...
the biggest question in my mind: can they undo the errors with 100% certainty and put the numbers where they belong?
if so, since the data had not been submitted to the FDA yet, would the stain be removed?
i don't see how the blackout on this issue could get in the way of filing material events in other trials... i can see it delaying them somewhat while any data is independently confirmed in the wake of the current mess , but that would be about it...
FireFox...they could be saying they can't comment just to keep everybody off their backs. if any more info comes out before they give the update in 'weeks', they'll be deluged with a new round of questions they don't want to handle...
as far as Dew goes...he may be absolutely right about this outfit. On the other hand, he has no more info than we do, and has simply chosen to believe the news is the worst possible for longs.
none of of has any idea whether we're dead or not...
hey! i think that makes us zombies for the time being!
hoops...would you please direct me to some qualified doctors who have quotes you can reference indicating their belief that the drug doesn't work?
if you can't do that rather quickly, how about saying you've 'mis-spoken'?
and what would be the point of them buying 120,000,000 shares all the way up to $1.00 higher than yesterday's open?
crutch...if they're using the TM, it wasn't till they knew they had a problem here... it will be interesting to see when they started it...when the lawsuits uncover it, right?
hoops...are you suggesting crime on top of crime, daring the SEC to come get 'em?
unless we sold this afternoon for 150%...
dew..you also thought buyers yesterday would be burned, right?
Vin...
i'll assume you believe smart money sold pphm yesteday... (how could that be, though, since you thought everyone who bought pphm before yesterday was stupid?)
yet today, final volume will be close to yesterday's...and the 2 day total will be close to double the available float...
so who's buying today? the retailer idiots (people like me) don't have that kind of money...
do cnbc on you android
pour some o' that jug into a bowl for goat
gotta say i'm amazed that i just had another call looking for my votes. the young lady was very understanding given today's news.
obviously, the poor gal has been getting unloaded upon this evening...
if the 2 bavi doses crossed in error and that's all that happened, the stuff works.
loof...put a 'guess-by' cutoff date on the contest
note that in AF's TheStreet article, he decided that the issues are 'misconduct'.
who, exactly, is he accusing of intentionally screwing with the numbers?
'most compelling' results...must disregard
need to hear whether the entire trial will be invalidated, or if they can correct the errors.
when will we hear more on this older news? too many think the NSCLC news a few weeks ago is all we have that's dramatic...
"A phase II trial of bavituximab used with docetaxel against advanced breast cancer has yielded median progression-free survival (PFS) data of 7.4 months, a best overall response rate of 61% (28 of 46 patients) with 11% (5 of 46) of the patients achieving a clinical complete response. (This compares favorably to a separately published study of a similar patient population receiving docetaxel alone, which showed an objective response rate of only 41% with no complete responses. Median overall survival figures are not yet available. (this is from wikipedia...has there been an update on this that I'm not finding?)
A phase II trial of bavituximab used with paclitaxel and carboplatin chemotherapy against advanced breast cancer has yielded median progression-free survival (PFS) data of 6.9 months, a best overall response rate of 74% (34 of 46 patients) with 9% (4 of 46) of the patients achieving a clinical complete response. (This compares favorably to a separately published study of a similar patient population receiving paclitaxel and carboplatin alone, which showed a median PFS of 4.8 months)"
will yell at myself forever for adding so little at .46...
goat..
love ya, brutha...would love for you to be right
if i'm not mistaken, you've gone from very positive to very dark over the years, and back. be careful here...

after the amount of time that has passed with Cotara, it seems fair to me that we should get a more comprehensive update of the state of affairs.
if such an update would be negative, it would be ok with me if it were to remain on the back burner (for selfish reasons) for a few more months so the boat doesn't get rocked. At the same time, if the stuff works, it's awful that it's not moving along for humanitarian reasons.
is there a way to thread the needle and give a true status report without hurting the share price, regardless of the story?
continued silence means one of 2 things: 'yes' or 'no'.
i'd love to know if it works.
truly Amazing, loof
are you sure you're a good ol' boy?
realist will be here any minute!
ok. time for what could be a really stupid question.
how can they even calculate a valid MOS in a first line trial for a given experimental drug, when folks will move to second line treatment of some kind when 1st line fails?
i don't think the 'Street' will be deciding if it works.
is Sierra's perfect record about to be blown????
i heard it there first
