OTCBB Trade Hours: Someone posted to the effect that BB stocks do not trade in the aftermarket. Just noticed that post and to the contrary:
Does the OTCBB trade after hours?
Yes. The OTCBB operates between the hours 7:30 A.M. and 6:30 P.M., although quotes are only firm during regular market hours. Before and after, market makers are not obligated to honor their posted quotes.

I have had this fight with many who thought I was nuts when I said what is posted above. I am now sticking my tongue out at them. Very Mature!
Pinks vs BB savings: LJ, yes. Audit Fees, legal fees, OTC listing fee, blue sky or Standard & Poors listing, etc. Could be substantial for a small company.
Bill Clinton had sex with Monica in the Oval Office, GWB had the phone's bugged so he could listen in.

bbotcs: Schwab/Etrade merger, I never say never <g>, but Chuck Schwab merging with Etrade does not sound like him. He is an innovator, an acquirer maybe, not an equal partner type. Etrade might praise him and then try to bury him.
btw: Schwab StreetSmart Pro is a direct connect, not web based program... very fast, no browser reload delays involved. They have a web version for when you are not using your own computer, it can be slow.
Bobwins: Energy Guru: A few days ago the WSJ had a story on the efficiency of Corn Stoves. Yes, dried kernels of corn. The BTU output was way ahead of most other fuels. Anyone read this or have any clue how to invest in this technology. They can't seem to keep the stoves in stock. I figure worst case, if the weather warms up, you can Pop some Corn!
The example they gave was of one homeowner who spent $400 a month last year to heat his home in the winter. Now he spends $60. on corn.
"I just dont get it. If Bush was a stock, you'd have sold years ago. "
Best laugh in a while, great line.
Biegle: Find a good real estate broker. Look at some houses, get comp's on the sales going 3 years back. That should tell you something about the appreciation. If you are going to buy, do it while there is 6 feet of snow on the ground, motivated sellers. From what I know of the area, you can buy a palace, for what I paid for my house in Portland. I don't think your real estate has moved very much, to bleepin cold!!!!!
pacific exchange is owned by Arca/Ex now. Third market is the place where market makers/brokers trade outside of the traditional exchanges. Ameritrade usually seems to trade on the Third market for listed biz.
OT 10bagger: You should be honored that someone signed up an alias just to bash you! LOL
ERI - private placement was filed as paper only and is listed on Edgar. Standard Op Procedure. You can go to SEC and read it!
A man and his wife were sitting in the living room and he said to her, "Just so you know, I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug."
His wife got up, unplugged the TV and threw out all of his beer.
Airline craziness: Nowadays, you board the plane, sit in your seat, keep your mouth shut.
Run around like a crazy, scream, yell, say you have a bomb while carrying a backpack......YOU deserve to be shot.
What is a bipolar non medicated person flying commercial flights? His wife should be shot, or did she get what she wanted?
Cynical, yes I am.
Electronic Control Security, Inc. Details WISE(TM) Water Supply Security Initiative Anti-terrorism Technology
Thursday December 8, 11:00 am ET
CLIFTON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 8, 2005--ECSI (Electronic Control Security, Inc. (OTCBB: EKCS - News) a leading provider of security solutions to governments, nuclear power facilities and corporations worldwide provided details on the anti-terrorism technology capabilities of their Water Infrastructure Security Environmental WISE(TM) initiative.
The final report by the members of the 9/11 commission issued this week stressed the enormous amount of work still needed to be done to secure the nation's infrastructure and highlighted the probability of additional major terrorist attacks in the United States. The WISE(TM) system is designed to provide complete end-to-end monitoring and protection for the vitally important water supply infrastructure.
Electronic Control subsidiary Clarion Systems founder Martin Harmless stated, "The response by the US Army to our demonstrations at Fort Leonard Wood showed that the Sentinal(TM), a fully automated on-line multiple parameter sensor array that can instantly detect chemical, biological and nuclear threats to water supplies has significant advantages over the competition."
The Sentinal(TM), while vital to detecting any possible contamination caused by a terrorist attack, was only part of the answer to creating a WISE(TM) total water system security solution. By monitoring all parts of the system in real time, the Sentinal(TM) gives water systems managers the instant information necessary to reconfigure the systems isolating any contamination preserving their ability to maintain the critically important water delivery capability. Beyond the ability to detect and isolate sources contaminated by a terrorist attack, Clarion recognized the need for pro-active security measures that detect attacks and intrusion attempts before they are able to cause any contamination or damage.
Water systems have certain critical vulnerabilities that make them attractive terrorist targets beyond their role as vital suppliers of water. Dams are sensitive targets and perhaps most critically, many systems store large amounts of highly concentrated chlorine which poses an enormous hazard such as the devastation which occurred in Bhopal, India.
"When we were approached by Electronic Control Security, we realized that their outstanding security capabilities and experience in protecting significant critical infrastructure systems including nuclear plants were a perfect fit to extend the Sentinal(TM) into a WISE(TM) total solution for water security that could protect not only the water supply itself but the full range of water supply infrastructure," concluded Mr. Harmless.
The WISE(TM) system integrates Electronic Control Security's Pre-emptive Perimeter Detection, Infrared Perimeter Intrusion Detection with PIR, Vehicle Tracking Graphic Map, Intrusion Detection and Monitoring, Vehicle Tracking Transmitter, Fence Mounted Fiber Optic Module, PIR and Video Perimeter Detection into a total package with the Sentinal(TM) to protect the water supply infrastructure from source to faucet.
Arthur Barchenko, Chairman and CEO of ECSI stated, "Our experience in providing security solutions to the nuclear industry has shown us the important opportunities in securing critically important infrastructure systems. The unmet needs in water system security provide an enormous opportunity that will take the nation many years and many billions of dollars to secure."

bigpike: EKCS lost money last Q, therefore I answer over here. They are currently in the biggest revenue year ever for them. They should make money this year. If Barchenko gives up some of his control to others than the company will grow. I am a buyer at the current levels. I am confident that the stock will at least double from here. Barchenko is capable and EGO driven. Not many companies have a 30 year track record in this business.
OT: 10 bagger: I was at several small OTC firms as a principal and/or founder. None of them big enough for name recognition. All of them out of business. We did small underwritings 500K to 5 million. The only company I was involved with taking public that still exists is EKCS, I did a small block for my customers. That is why I still own it for sentimental reasons.
The spreads that we paid commissions on to some of the rep's were outrageous and obscene. I mostly traded our own issues against the box. It was not my main job function, I just filled in for my partner when he was on vacation. I tried trading on my own for a short time and decided to retire to a saner business for the future.
I worked mostly at 111 or 120 Bdwy. Harry's was always fun for the DD meetings and those crummy little hot dogs.
don't have PM ability.
OT 10 bagger: "The BB or pink sheet markets are no different.. In my day, when we traded OTC stocks, all the trading houses had relationships with everyone. They could pull stock or put it to many places. Most of those guys made fortunes, as they could never lose on those trades. I doubt that it is any different now with OTCBB or Pinks.
As to 3 bids, Schwab claims they still do that for OTCBB stocks. Even though most of the major MM's are linked electronically on those stocks.
OT: MSoft LiveMeeting: I tried using LiveMeeting for the first time to listen to WMCO conference call. I had no luck with it. It seemed to log in ok and I saw a few names listed as present. What do you need to do to actually hear anything? Had it been Apple software I would have heard it all on a palm sized pod!
Any thoughts? TIA
len: reluctantly I confess that EKCS blew a gasket last Q and is not in profit mode. I expect them to correct that next Q. <g>
Etrade security: The system requires that you key in the number that is generated on the token. However, ETRADE market makers kill you from within. While your eye is on the security gizmo, the poor executions steal from you. JMHO
happier with Schwab or Ameritrade
The code changes every 60 seconds and it prevents you from giving up your security to a phisher or scam artist. Cool idea, wish others would provided it!
No spam? That is exactly what you are doing on IHUB.
UIC / MDF: I read that post on yahoo. If the guy is correct, we shall see pretty quickly on Monday. Combined with Finnel selling stock and a sell signal by Naviller, I would guess that MDF will take a big hit. Waiting for dust to settle and considering a reentry point!
MDF: Saturday Wall Street Journal Ad for ARCA/EX featured Mike Early. Good exposure for company. Was a half pager!
ps - not sure why I posted this as a response to prior post. sorry.
lentinmen: With all due respect to the Dynamic Duo of HWEB/Bobwins, I think I would wait for CWS9 108.16% picks next time. I also would consider buying all of those stocks as well. <g>
SVL acts like a stock that will be profiled by a leading business publication. Just a guess, but these company types are a favorite of Forbes, etc. to write up. Especially since it is so undervalued.
Sorry I bought it originally, glad I held it! lol
Military PR's... my problem with it is that they got caught. LOL
HMSG - If they are not going to promote & pump/dump, why have they issued 11 PR's in two months for a brand new entity?
OT Brown/Etrade..
horrible executions in the OTCBB world. not just me. went to a seminar @ Schwab recently and spoke to an options trader, she said that ETRADE was awful for her as well.
Schwab no longer owns any market making operations, many of the trades I have placed have been routed to ETRADE. I know that I will get screwed, so if I see them move after I place the order, I will usually cancel and go to Ameritrade who routes them through NITE.
Dream Machine - I always like PC Cooling, but $499.00 for a power supply? Does it make coffee and eggs as well?
beigledog: Have you had your eye's checked out? Seriously, if you hook up an external monitor and it does not flicker, then you can isolate the problem somewhat. Sounds to me like a possible loose connection, maybe a bad power supply.
I am just guessing a bit here, laptop computers are rough. I had a similar problem many years ago and it was a loose connection. I fixed it and then a visiting electrician dropped his tools on my screen. Cost him $1100.00 to replace it. <g>
Hey, I also own 2 peecee's that actually work. And I am waiting for your updated Terminator so I can have 3 peecee's. My 4 year old is the current mac user. LOL
Hey, don't kick me off this board for asking this question <g>, but in a past life I used both PC's and Mac's (even CPM).
I bought my son an Imac 4 years ago. It has Classic OS and the first version of OSX. I can't boot the OSX anymore, I get a "White Screen of Death". Not sure if that is what MacHeads call it.
Anyone have any thoughts on what to do with it. If I had a boat I would use it as an anchor. Paying to have it repaired would not be cost effective and I just want it for my daughter to play games on the internet, but under the classic 9.x OS it will no longer handle most interactive websites.
TIA
ECSI Receives $2.5 Million Thermal Imaging Systems Order from US Air Force IBDSS
Wednesday November 30, 10:00 am ET
CLIFTON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 30, 2005--Electronic Control Security Inc. This additional $2.5 million dollar order brings the company's confirmed and funded outstanding orders to a total of over $9 million.
"The order for the long-range Thermal Imaging System (TIS) is for deployment at sensitive Air Force bases both within the continental Unites States and at high threat installations as the Air Force continues its anti-terrorist mission at facilities around the world," said Mr. Richard Deyulio Senior ECSI Project Manager for the Air Force Integrated Base Defense Security System (IBDSS) program. "The rapid expansion of our IBDSS orders is a testament to the positive response we've received from the Air Force following our initial installations under this program," continued Mr. Deyulio.
Arthur Barchenko, President and CEO stated, "This award comes as a result of our decision to pursue funded anti-terrorism technology acquisition dollars for both domestic and international awards. SVL: Any idea what the resorts/land value is at market?
wccawa, good choice! It really does the job. Also, I had a problem with a Belkin print server and after 5 minutes with tech support, they said they would send me a new one and I could just throw out the old one. I now have 2 print servers <g>.
wccawa: I stayed at a hotel that used a Belkin Pre N wireless router. It was excellent so I bought one. I now get a great signal level all over my house. When I use a Pre N card, it is almost like a wired connection, without the Pre N card it is pretty good.
Easy install and good customer support.
Since I said that we will be buying cheaper shares in December, the stock immediately went up. I will not complain if it keeps going higher. <g>
C|100 SVL, why not be happy that you own the stock. If you have a personal axe to grind with another poster, do it elsewhere.
Happy Holiday
