Don't tell Janice I'm making this tomorrow, LOL
Lasagna, Prego® easy skillet lasagna
•
•
• 1 pound lean ground beef
• 1 jar (24 ounces) Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce or Prego®+ Plant Protein Meatless Meat Italian Sauce (I used Garlic Basil Prego)
• 1 1/2 cups water (I used a little more water)
• 6 uncooked lasagna noodles, broken into 1-inch pieces
• 3/4 cup reduced fat (part skim) ricotta cheese (I didn’t use skim)
• 4 ounces shredded part skim mozzarella cheese (I didn’t use skim)
• 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
1. Season the beef with salt and pepper. Cook the beef in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, stirring often to separate meat (just looking for some browning here – the beef will cook through in the sauce mixture below). Pour off any fat.
2. Stir the sauce, water, & noodles in the skillet & heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cover & cook for 15 minutes or until the noodles are tender, stirring often.
3. Stir in the ricotta cheese & half the mozzarella & Parmesan cheeses. Cook, uncovered, for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season to taste. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella & Parmesan cheeses.
4. Remove the skillet from the heat (you can let it stand for 5 minutes if you like it less saucy). Sprinkle with chopped fresh basil just before serving, if desired.
When you go to see if the noodles are done, be very careful, it is piping hot
In case somebody gets stupid, you can knife them or fork them, LMAO
