The usual treatment, initially anyway, is a barrage of antibiotics that beat the hell out of your system (and hopefully the infection). The antibiotics are selected after they know what the germ is that afflicts the patient. I my case, the first time was strep (easier to cure, easier not easy) and the second time it was staph (way more dangerous and difficult to eradicate). Surgery is usually not the first option.
Thanks. I appreciate your posts. I am a two time survivor of endocarditis, the second time requiring a pretty radical surgery. You go from feeling perfectly fine to running a huge fever within hours, and the only way to describe how you feel is it's like you've been hit by a train. I was very lucky. I shudder when I think back to it.
Yesterday you indicated you are out of the stock. At Christmas, you referred to "us CTSO shareholders". So sometime during the past month you sold, yet you are here all the time to what(?) save us all? When I sell a stock, the last place I'm wasting my time is on a message board for that prior investment. So yeah, I question your honesty and motives.
I think when Chan exercised his expiring options recently, he only sold enough to recoup his outlays, holding the remainder basically free and clear. Just my opinion, but that shows me he has his sights set on much higher prices. It's good to have a CEO who is invested along with us.
IMSC had a great product, probably the best, but their debt was just too high to survive. I got hurt pretty badly there. KRY too (Venezuela can't have enough problems as far as I'm concerned). CTSO doesn't have the overwhelming debt problem that they can't dig out of.
Maria Bartiromo broadcasting from that conference in SF this morning on Fox Business.
Pretty sure it was at $8.08 and that equated to a $875,000 investment all in one shot. I like their confidence LOL.
So I read this as the two trades at $7.59 were actually cancelled but because of the way the computers are set up they still show as the final AH transactions(?)
I know there's been talk on here about an early income figure release. Is this where it might happen? Thanks in advance.
He exercised 89K shares at 2.10 and sold 24K shares at 9.37, effectively keeping the remaining 65K shares at zero cost while pocketing a bit more dollars. In retrospect, I'm OK with it. The holding of the 65K shows that he expects better days are coming or he'd have dumped it all at 9.37. IMO anyway.
I know I will get the standard response here defending this, but Chan executing options and selling a bunch at $9.36 is not helpful.
Sad, I didn't think you could destroy your liver that badly by age 32. Unreal.
Big spike in premarket. Connect the dots for us novices(?)
Part of this sounds good, some not so good. Somebody help this novice decide if I should be happy(?)
Many thanks to you and the select few who provide us with fresh information on a regular basis. I am generally a lurker, a long who comes here hoping to find exactly what you put up. Thanks again to you and the few who do this for all of us. I appreciate it.
Yesterday you said FDA "2019/2020". Please explain the shift to 2021 in one 24 hour period.
Is there Q & A after this?
Antibiotics after a radical heart surgery saved my life in 1993. Unless you are a doctor, know about what you type here. Agreed they are not the be all and end all, but the discovery of antibiotics since penicillin is probably the biggest factor in life expectancies being as high as they are.
We need him to do more than take note. I'm a Rotarian and Gates has donated more that $1 billion through his foundation to Rotary's Polio Plus Program that is oh so very close to eradicating polio.
The Villages is famous for having had a huge outbreak of STD's. You can look it up. Those retirees were apparently having one heckuva good time. Too good perhaps.
Thank you. As I've stated previously I don't want anyone to view me as some type of basher. Quite the opposite. I love the company, the product, and the stock has treated me very very well. I'm way ahead. It's just an appearances thing for me. If Chan were to sell, it would absolutely cause some concern, even if it was unfounded concern. Would make no sense on the cusp of what I believe is going to be a bigtime liftoff. Peace to all and thanks again for engaging me.
Programmed how? The two officers that do this always seem to sell at the highs at that very moment. Quite a coincidence. And as somebody who has never sold and continues to add, it is curious if, as we all believe, this is going much higher and soon, no? I don't need an argument here about their right to sell blah blah blah. They certainly can. It's just that every time we hear someone say "programmed". Anyone?
The NJ man who became infected while crabbing has lost both of his arms and is still not out of the woods. In the article it also discusses the potential problems eating raw oysters and clams. I never realized they can kill you. I always thought maybe a bad stomach ache etc but death is more prevalent than anyone would think. Article at NJ.Com for anyone interested.
It's actually miraculous that Cytosorb helped at all with all of the things this poor guy had. The mountain to climb was enormous. I had staph bacterial endocarditis of the aortic valve in 1993 at age 34. I did not have all of the other problems and antibiotics, megadoses, prevented the spread to other organs. I got lucky. I survived a radical 11 hour surgery replacing my aorta with that of a cadaver and an abscess covered my one ventricle. A very young Dr. Oz was one of my surgeons at Columbia Presbyterian in NYC. Not to bore anyone, but I was a strong 34 yo and this knocked the hell out of me. Could barely stand. It is impressive if in fact the product can be attributed to the improvement in this guy, even if it was brief. What a mess he must've been. The memories make me shudder. With those problems he is in a better place.
Leonys Martin of the Cleveland Indians is fighting a bacterial infection that has affected his organs. Sickness came on outta nowhere fast. Perhaps someone can post a link to the story as I am technologically challenged. Sounds like our product could help his situation. Gotta get this thing moving more quickly into the US.
Call me strange, but I've determined I enjoy the days with many posts, even if they're of a cranky nature, way more than a slow day like this. When I check in and there aren't any new posts I'm let down. Somebody question somebody else's integrity already and let's get this rolling. LOL
Thank you again for taking the time to respond to me. I hope we both do very well here. I believe it will take some time to get where we need to go, and I'm fine with that. Some here will state that officers selling (at some curious times) and the .19 loss didn't hurt anything. I'm simply saying that while saying it didn't hurt is speculative, saying that it certainly didn't help is not.
Thanks for responding. My friends who told me about this stock, and some of my family members, after listening to the CC were very happy as was I. They bought more. I really couldn't shift money around quickly enough but I would have if I could have. I would venture to say that most of us were pretty happy with that gross income figure, no? While we are all happy and either buying or contemplating buying, we have two officers who made over $625K and $700K in 2017 selling. So now I have people saying the officers selling is of no consequence, and the loss is of no consequence (both possible, I don't know). So finish this sentence "The weakness in the share price is not due to officers selling right at the point of our best earnings report and CC, nor is it from the .19 loss, it's from ________________". Thanks. And I'm all in and long the stock before anybody goes there. Have never sold a single share. Peace.
BTW, did Vinnie sell on 8/2 for more than $13 prior to the rest of us hearing the loss was .19, larger than estimated? Kathleen apparently waited until the next day.
We can agree to disagree about the appearance of his selling. I don't know your personal situation, but I'm guessing many here are holding on for a much bigger payday. Then you have a guy on the inside who has a total compensation package of 713K for 2017 (I live in NJ and in southern NJ where the company is located you can live very well on that kind of money) who is selling. Not interested in arguing the point so peace to you and hope we all make a killing here. I hear people say $40, $50 more per share(?) If that's really on the horizon, well, good ol' Vince who knows way more than any of us what the truth is, just left a ton of money on the table. Does that make sense?
Capponi made $713K in total compensation last year but he sells stock at or near highs. It doesn't kill rallies but it surely doesn't help either and only leads people to ask why he'd do it if we are headed much higher.
He didn't sound robotic to me. I thought the CC was fantastic and I was stoked afterwards. Down 10% Friday? It doesn't make me happy but the close on Friday at $11.60+ is almost 4 bucks higher than 3 months ago at $7.90. One year ago $4.75. The things you allege about the guy, only cares about himself, doesn't listen to subordinates....you know this how? Do you work for them? I'm only in this for a year and my statement shows a nice big green number. I'm pleased and see a bright future. My gripe, and I posted it here, was some high level officers selling stock. That didn't send a great message. Overall, I think we need to calm down. I'd love to read a response as to how you know the negative things you allege about our CEO. And did anybody else hear a robotic tone? I certainly did not.
Thank you for that post. I couldn't have written it better. Step back and take a deep breath. This will have volatility but I think it will continue to be 3 steps forward and one back. Yesterday was a head scratcher and I was upset too. But nothing has changed. Not that I can see. In the end, we win. How much? Dunno, but we win.
The guy from New Jersey who became infected while crabbing is apparently deteriorating and being put in hospice. It's the top story in NJ.com. Sorry I don't know how to post it here.
I read this morning he had a stroke during surgery to remove a large tumor from his shoulder. His brain function never returned to normal.
I'll apologize now for perhaps not following things closely enough, but can you please explain this? Recruiting for...? Thanks in advance.
Thanks. It sounds like his situation is pretty dire. I don't know how to put the link on here but it's a frightening story. Guy goes crabbing and is fighting to keep his limbs and maybe his life.
There's a guy in in a NJ hospital close to CTSO headquarters with that flesh eating bacteria and may lose all 4 limbs. Contracted it crabbing at the Jersey Shore. Dunno if our product would help.
Last time one of the sellers was good ol' Vinnie. Remember?
Crickets today? Our COO sold at 12.35 and 12. Didn't he get the memo? $50? $60? $200? Remarkable how they (the CFO too) seem to get that particular day's high price when they sell.
