It's actually miraculous that Cytosorb helped at all with all of the things this poor guy had. The mountain to climb was enormous. I had staph bacterial endocarditis of the aortic valve in 1993 at age 34. I did not have all of the other problems and antibiotics, megadoses, prevented the spread to other organs. I got lucky. I survived a radical 11 hour surgery replacing my aorta with that of a cadaver and an abscess covered my one ventricle. A very young Dr. Oz was one of my surgeons at Columbia Presbyterian in NYC. Not to bore anyone, but I was a strong 34 yo and this knocked the hell out of me. Could barely stand. It is impressive if in fact the product can be attributed to the improvement in this guy, even if it was brief. What a mess he must've been. The memories make me shudder. With those problems he is in a better place.
