Kevin...re cash....that's more than I thought they would have...combine that with the 3.5 million shares of SSPX stock...
Did ANYONE truly expect that Q4 was going to be more than the 50-100K range? The Qs to compare will be Q1 vs Q2 vs Q3....Some on this thread need to have a reality check if they truly believe that the results of Q4 represent the true progress that Wave is making.
Jas
IAMSAM...re Waves SSPX shares....That leaves Wave with roughly 3.5 million SSPX shares...I was surprised that they did not sell those 750 K shares when they had a chance....~1.5-1.75. Makes you wonder what they were waiting for?
Sincerely,
Jas
Doma...FWIW...I agree with you regarding this issue. I think that the longer the delay in implementing TPM 1.2....the better off we are going to be. If most of the OEMs were going to implement 1.2 this year...I would have cringed because it would have meant another delay regarding TPM rollout. The simple fact that IBM is not going to deploy tpm 1.2 until at least 2005/2006 translates to NO delay in the rollout of TPMs. We NEED this to occur in order for our business model to have ANY chance of success!
Sincerely,
Jas
re Wave's SSPX holdings....I asked Wave if they had acted upon their 1/20/04 filing as of today....the answer I received was that they had not sold those shares....and the last sell was on 1/16/04. Therefore...the liquidity that we have been seeing over the past 30 days or so has to be from the PP...FWIW
Sincerely,
Jas
Doma...thanks for the background info...
Sincerely,
Jas
Greg...re INTEL....As our resident Intel expert...could you provide a response to the e-mail that Zen recently received. Lets assume for argument sake that the e-mail is valid...what do you make of the content? Does it provide any insight as to any potential decision that Intel has made regarding using the TPM in other lines of motherboards?
Sincerely,
Jas
Weby...re IBM/Wave...I don't know how significant the relationship truly is at this time. What I place more importance on is the fact that IBM has decided to place TPMs in all but their cheapest models. Additionally, they seem to be indicating that they will not be upgrading to the TPM 1.2 versions until at least 2006. These are important points in my view of the TCG world....FWIW
Sincerely,
Jas
Toro...re Stacy Cannady from IBM....Thanks for the reminder...Here is another example of a member from the Wave team speaking at a forum with a member from the IBM side. Here is a recent article that quotes Stacy Cannady...pay attention to what he says towards the end of the article;

24601...re "integration"....Quick...somebody call toshiba and notify them of the slip up....do it before they are confronted with Class Action filings. )
Jas
Weby...re grand child....CONGRATS!
Sincerely,
Jas
Soter...re share price...PATIENCE...this is going to be the key with this stock over the short term. The key is to concentrate upon the fundementals....which are improving. You have a company that continues to win government contracts and is either at breakeven or in the black with ~ ten million dollars in the bank.
The stock is stuck in the currents created by the large overhang imposed upon by WAVE and the PP holders. I'm simply accumulating additional shares in a price range....in other words...I don't think there is any reason to chase...there is too much supply at this time...FWIW
Sincerely,
Jas
Back Again...re revenues...Do you HONESTLY believe that the there is NOTHING different between the IT landscape we find ourselves in today vs the last five years??? If you don't...well...
Jas
re demos...there are demos...and then there are DEMOS...What differentiates the demos over the past 6 months or so from those of a couple years ago is one simple fact...A couple of years ago...Wave was by themselves...over the past 6 months or so...they are a part of a GROUP...TCG. This GROUP is providing a DEMO on a topiuc that the industry is taking very seriously. The fact that DELL is now within 5-6 weeks of making a decision regarding TPMs is only one indication as to the inroads that TCG is making. FWIW
Sincerely,
Jas
Tony/Doma...Great team work! Although Wave may be operating in a NDA environment... we can still cut through the layer of stealth by following the bouncing ball...in this case...the Intel/wave enabled MB. The wider the distribution...the greater the penetration for Wave
Sincerely,
Jas
SSPX recently announced their latest government contract...I thought it would be interesting to read a list regarding some of their other clients:

Rosie...OT re SSPX link...

Hope this helps
Jas
OT...SSP Solutions SSPX board...Yaya has created a thread for SSPX investors...we are attempting to figure out how many of us Wavoids actually follow SSPX as well. Further more...the board provides us with a forum in which we can talk about events regarding SSPX without wasting bandwidth on the Wave board...So if you are interested...please stop by
Sincerely,
Jas
Yaya...re SHM...No problem...The company is a few miles from where I live which makes it very easy for me to attemd the annual SHM. This year...there were 4-5 shareholders at the meeting...and guess what...~80% were WAVOIDS! Lets figure out how many Wavoids actually own SSPX shares...it would be interesting to say the least.
Sincerely,
Jas
IAMSAM...re share price...Notice the bid of ~31,000 shares at 1.27...Obviously...there is interest in this stock...one simply needs to have a longer term perspective...unless one simply wants to flip for the 10-20 % returns Seriously...not only is this company close to breakeven...or slighly in the black...but management is very careful about keeping their burn rate as low as possible. That was one of the things I took away from last years SHM that impressed me enough to increase my stake.
Sincerely,
Jas
IAMSAM...re Share price...I think we all need to be patient over the next 6 months or so. Most of the people on the Yahoo thread seem to think that the current weakness relates to the ongoing sales by WAVX. They seem to be forgetting about the newly registered shares from the recent PP. If my math is anywhere close to being correct...the conversion was close to 70 cents/share. As soon as the PP was announced...the shares went from the 1.60-80s down to the 1.10s.....soon thereafter...the shares went over 2 on STRONG volume. The current weakness is in part due to continued sales by WAVX...but also has to be related to the newly registered shares.
The above raises a few interesting questions:
1) Who was buying the shares after the recent PP knowing full well that a great number of shares would make their way onto the market....Why the rush?
2) How many shares of the recent SEC form filed by Wave on 1/20 have they sold?? If they have sold all of those shares...it will leave Wave with close to 2.5 million SSPX shares.
3) How long will this distribution phase last if we continue to trade 400-500K shares/day? After this redistribution phase...from the PP to the rest of the investment community. Obviously...if the PP participants want to hang on to their shares...then this point becomes insignificant.
4) I think that if you're patient...you will be able to accumulate at reasonable prices.
What are your thoughts?
Sincerely,
Jas
Burpzilla...re CA packets...I received two of them today from Milberg Weiss...I have shares in three different accounts. Anyhow...I can not believe how STUPID some of their assertions are...After reading this complaint...one wonders WHY ON EARTH WE DON'T HAVE SOME SORT OF TORT REFORM....the SAME thing applies to the medical arena. How can a law firm be allowed to make such comments without having to itself face the concequences if they are proven WRONG!
Sincerely,
Jas
Yaya...GREAT IDEA OF STARTING THIS THREAD!!!
Jas
Paul/CMF...re TCG vs TCPA...I strongly believe that TCG is here to stay. The fact that DELL is now contemplating the usage of TPMs speaks volumes...IMHO.
Sincerely,
Jas
TKC...re share price....We have had two MAJOR shows back to back...and we have not received the type of news that certain individuals had been hoping for....not to mention the fact that we have developed a trail of scumbags behind us over the past few weeks.
Jas
SPIN...re 100k bid at .01...Now tell me something...you're obviously a very intelligent individual...what should an average individual take away from your last post in which you ask me if I'm the one bidding on those shares? Do you truly believe that there was any chance in H *LL that I was the one doing the bidding? Don't bother saying that you really do not know. As I said in my last post...keep on spinning...The problem with you and some of my friends is that you folks can ONLY see the negatives and IGNORE the positive developments. Ignore...at least in public. All your SPINNING is not going to ALTER the fact that Wave coninues to gain GREATER traction in the TC environment.
Jas
Spin...re Wave....All I can say is keep up the GREAT work!! The more you SPIN...the larger my WAVX holdings are becoming. How some people can sell by believing half the BS posted by some individuals is truly amazing.
We ALL are aware of our finacial situation...our track record of OVER promising and NOT delivering...we ALL know about the issues revolving around managements compensation packages.....but here are a few points that we also KNOW...
1) BEFORE...let me say this again...BEFORE our business model has a chance to succeed...there has to be TPM DEPLOYMENT ...We are NOW witnessing the INTIAL TPM rollout.
2) NSM...Our agreements with NSM are worth MORE (per unit) than our deal with INTEL.
3) NSM Safekeeper is only NOW becoming available. Doma's find from the weekend regarding TOSHIBA is the FIRST salvo...We have been repeatedly informed by SKS that NSM has a number of design wins.
YES...the company carries along a great deal of baggage....but it ALSO is doing something it has NEVER done before....becoming INTEGRATED into the TPM environment. THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT CHANGE FROM THE PAST...and is enough for me to continue to add to my position.
Jas
TKC...re price drop in 11/03.....The drop in our share price was directly related to the declaration on a CC that by the end of the year...there would definately be another round of financing with stock....it was all the shorters/potential participants in a pp round needed to sell. I'm not sure you can compare the two drops...IMHO
Sincerely,
Jas
Good afternoon Doma...re ATML...I found it very interesting that although Atmel admits that they have shipped over 5 million TPMs...IBM seems to be MIA in their announcement. If I was attempting to drive the point home...I think I would have included IBMs name in the PR...unless of course IBM no longer is doing business with ATMEL. It will be interesting to keep an eye on IBM to see who their TPM vendor is these days.
Sincerely,
Jas
Need info...re Wise man....Tell me...does a WISE MAN tip his hand before he plays it??? Just curious
Sincerely or not,
Jas
Larry...re Q4 numbers...Although I agree with you that Wave must show increasing revenues....I think it needs to take place in Q1 vs Q2 of 04. Q4 is going to be a wash in my opinion.( ~100K) The train is just NOW pulling out of the station....IMHO
Sincerely,
Jas
AWK..Thanks Andy...Now...if we could just find out in real time where those shares went...
Jas
re AH...correction...we closed the regular day with ~325K....now we are over 538K....amazing...
Jas
Zen...re CEO...Don't waste your time...his/her comments as to why he/she thought we were actually at the table were very telling....he/she isn't worth any additional bandwidth.
If and when he/she wants to discuss these issues with serious comments ...I'll be more than willing to engage....at this moment....he/she is a waste of time.
Jas
AH...I love these After hours market....100K shares at 1.61...geez
Jas
CEO...re waves seat at the TCG table....If you truly believe what you posted as to WHY Wave has a seat at the table...and you've followed the company for as long as you claim to have...then something does NOT compute....IMNHO
Sincerely or not,
Jas
VH...re Waves quote...That's my point!
Sincerely,
Jas
VH...thanks for the article...one question though..Why do you think they are using a quote from a rep of Wave Systems?
Jas
KmS...Thanks for posting the article...Two points come quickly to mind:
1) Interoptability (sp) is becoming more important
2) Last paragraph about large companies creating alliances/mergers with start ups with promising technology
Sincerely,
Jas
Spin...re Peter's predictions....He's not the ONLY one that was wrong regarding the last three days...there were a NUMBER of us who were saying the SAME thing privately...we based our belief on our past experience...I sincerely believe that is what Petrer was also doing...except he had the guts to post it publicly.
Sincerely,
Jas
Dude_Danny...It's a pity that the markets will be closed on Monday 2/16 because of Presidents Day...You would have thought that NSM would have been more considered than to unveil the Safekeeper on a day that the street was closed.
Sincerely,
Jas
