How much shall we bet to say this shoots back up to .24 right at close? Any takers...
Tag You’re It! FASTSIGNS® Offers QR Codes to Help Extend Messages Further
Seems it uses all Direct Codes, but at least it's helping public exposure!
http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20100921006676/en
CARROLLTON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FASTSIGNS®, a sign and graphics franchisor that provides visual communications and marketing solutions is now helping businesses, organizations and events connect with people through Quick Response codes (QR codes). Many of the 530 worldwide FASTSIGNS sign and graphic centers have added two-dimensional barcodes, called QR codes, to their product offering.
“By educating people about them and providing this additional visual communication tool as part of the solution, FASTSIGNS is helping businesses, events and organizations generate more interest in, and information about, their service or product, while reaching more tech-savvy customers.”
“Signs and graphics work for you 24/7, even when you are not open or there. Effective signage tells people who you are and what you do. Now, with QR codes, that effort is taken a step further,” said Drue Townsend, Senior Vice President of Marketing for FASTSIGNS International, Inc. “From posters to vehicle graphics, and real estate signs to banners, FASTSIGNS is helping customers make the most of their visual communications with the addition of this puzzle-looking graphic that provides even more information than is on the sign itself.”
QR codes act as mobile information tags for signs and printed materials. Townsend explains that while popular in Japan for more than a decade, QR codes have been gradually finding their way into more mainstream uses in North America and naturally fit in with the services that FASTSIGNS provides.
Capturing a QR code is similar to taking a picture with a mobile phone; passersby simply use their Smartphone with a downloaded (free or purchased) QR code reader and scan the printed QR code. From there, the QR code directs them to online content such as a website, video or contact information.
Townsend offers a few practical examples of how QR codes can provide value:
Put QR codes that link to special discounts and printable coupons on banners, posters and point-of-purchase materials. Not only are you encouraging sales, but you are also helping to build goodwill with customers who appreciate timely discounts.
Use a QR code on your next vehicle graphic. When someone wants your contact information, they simply snap a photo of the vehicle and are provided with a quick link—no need to write anything down or hurriedly memorize a phone number or website address.
Place a QR code on real estate or site signs. Potential buyers can then be linked to a virtual tour, leasing contact information or even a web site with floor plans.
Use QR codes on business cards and show them off at your next networking event. When an attendee scans it, he or she can immediately be provided with your full contact information for their address book—all without ever having to write anything down.
“There are still many who don’t fully understand, or have never even heard of QR codes, yet the interest to see what they are and to utilize them is there,” said Townsend. “By educating people about them and providing this additional visual communication tool as part of the solution, FASTSIGNS is helping businesses, events and organizations generate more interest in, and information about, their service or product, while reaching more tech-savvy customers.”

Ryan2044: I think the answers you're looking for lie within what Neustar et. al. are trying to do.
Neomedia will provide little revenue itself, it's riding the coattails of the larger organizations which have already licensed:

So in reality, we should be looking at what these companies are doing (if that's even possible, I have yet to find anything worthwhile). Although, it wouldn't be bad to know how big a slice we are getting.
The Dynamics of Mobile Measurement & Metrics
http://mobilenextbigthing.biz/2010/09/21/the-dynamics-of-mobile-measurement-metrics/
There are many different ways to measure the impact of marketing campaigns – Cost-per-Click (CPC), Cost Per Thousand impressions (CPM), Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI), Cost-per-Action/Acquisition (CPA), etc. At end of the day, these metrics provide marketers with important information on how to get the best return on their investment.
In the early days of Internet advertising there were a few big players like Advertising.com, ValueClick, and DoubleClick all trying to assemble the largest online ad network. Now that mobile is such a crucial component, companies like Google/AdMob, Millennial Media and AOL/Third Screen have jumped into the mobile game. The reason these ad networks provide a great benefit to marketers is that they offer large inventory volume that gives marketers the assurance they can reach the volume and mix of audience they need in the budgeted time they plan.
In a totally different way, Twitter, Facebook Places Applications, Foursquare Business Check in Specials, and the myriad of social networking options out there offer brands and enterprises ways to reach aggregated consumers in volume by leveraging new social networking web tools.
The good news is that mostly all of these new mobile marketing solutions offer the same media buying options in terms of CPMs, CPCs, CPAs, and the ability to quantify individual program ROIs quickly. But at the same time, these new mobile marketing methods require the “brand manager” or “agency account manager” to learn the increasingly complex world of mobile and that all “clicks” or metrics are not the same. The mobile ecosystem is currently much more fragmented than the wired Internet, making it harder to aggregate and compare analytical data.
A marketer may outsource their Internet ad network buys to one media buyer, their mobile campaigns to a mobile provider, and their general brand campaigns to a brand agency, or conduct lots of pilots in mobile with even more vendors.
For example, let’s say you use Google/AdMob on the mobile side and that accounts for 60% of your budget. You use AOL/Third Screen, Millennial Media, and iAd for iTunes for the remaining 40%. This means you’ve got four different ad network vendors – and that’s just mobile display advertising, let alone what you are doing on mobile search, Internet search, social media and more.
So how do you measure all of these different campaigns? Do you just look at the biggest one and make that one your gauge? Or, maybe you have a campaign management tool that looks at all of the different sources and tells you how many leads came in across these different sources and aggregates your combined ROI.
In the mobile barcodes world, Neustar is enabling interoperability among mobile ecosystem players and can work with campaign manager partners to enable them to track performance of their campaigns and compare them to industry standards.
A barcode measurement network will be important in demonstrating the effectiveness of mobile barcodes for retailers and manufacturers. This also gives mobile marketers the opportunity to budget effectively and monitor the effectiveness of their campaigns.
One huge advantage of mobile barcodes is that they allow you to get an Internet-type of measurement – such as CPC — off of print advertising mediums like in-store signage or a coupon placed on a windshield. Since these channels are not connected to the Internet, these types of interactive metrics were previously impossible. Now you can compare apples to apples with a true, measurable response rate on all of your media.
We are just scratching the surface of what has the potential to be a big shift in the measurement of mobile campaigns. As a neutral third party, Neustar can ensure the interoperability that is needed to help campaign managers run more effective and more measurable campaigns.
Ok, what's going on to where we are consistently barely getting a gain right at close?
What's around the corner to get MM's to do this...
So, this routes to BeeTagg then to the American Cancer Site.
1) Have you seen BeeTagg's site??? It's worse than the old NeoReader site.
2) How did they land a deal with American Cancer Society?
3) Is that not an indirect method?

I stand corrected, an 8k would seem necessary then.
I don't recall it saying it would be paid at once, if it is then yes it would be a material event and then an 8-k. But if it's over time via the terms of the loan, then it wouldn't be material and therefore no 8-k necessary and would be seen via quartely reports. Am I mistaken by that?

The comments section is the part that caught my attention. I figured some here will like to make the claims as to what's better since the author is asking for it.
Unless they live up to their own hype of paying down debt and sustaining operations from this/these so called transactions.
Only quarterly reports are going to tell us if that happens I suppose.

Who knows, Samsung is a big name even if it is only the Italian Subsidiary we partnered with, and it seems to cover pre-loading and continued ticketing, with possibility of pre-load on all samsung devices...so there are many alleys for revenue generation.
The PR release says: the solution has been adopted by a leading train operator, as part of its ticket checking process. A ticket code is printed on paper tickets which are then scanned and transferred by the NeoReader Application for processing by the ticket checking application.
TrenItalia is the train system in Italy, but I can't find statistics on how many riders there are. I was in Italy last month and I know first hand TrenItalia was the only option to communte between big cities, although I rode 2 different types of trains (edit: TRN Autres and Eurostar AV). Not sure if TrenItalia is the operator or if the seperate trains are operated by dfferent companies.

Collaboration between market leaders brings mobile barcode scanning technology to businesses in Italy
Atlanta, September 13, 2010 – NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: NEOM.OB), the global leader in mobile barcode scanning solutions, and Samsung Electronics Italy, Italian subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, announced today their plans to collaborate on delivering mobile enterprise services to customers throughout Italy. The partnership will see the NeoReader™ Enterprise application pre-loaded in Samsung’s Omnia II devices bringing the power of mobile barcode technology to businesses and consumers alike. NeoMedia and Samsung Electronics Italy will also begin an assessment phase with the aim to have NeoReader pre-installed across all Samsung platforms giving enterprises the choice and flexibility they want and offering consumers a rich and more interactive mobile experience.
In the first instance, the solution has been adopted by a leading train operator, as part of its ticket checking process. A ticket code is printed on paper tickets which are then scanned and transferred by the NeoReader Application for processing by the ticket checking application.
"This is a great application for 2D barcode technology and is testament to its flexibility and application in numerous fields. As a company, Samsung continues to be at the forefront of mobile advancements and, in collaboration with NeoMedia, we look forward to bringing cutting edge solutions to our enterprise customers," said Antonio Bosio, Products and Solutions Directors Telecom Division at Samsung Electronics Italy. “We see great potential in the mobile barcode market and are keen to work with NeoMedia to deliver the benefits of mobile barcode technology to businesses and consumers in Italy.”
The NeoReader application is an individual custom-built mobile barcode solution that leverages the ability to read 1D and 2D barcodes with the built-in camera. The mobile phone can then be used in a number of various enterprise applications for example to “track and trace” data, products, and services but also for field force management, quality control, insurance damage or loss reporting. NeoMedia’s solution combines the best features of mobility, communications and task functionality whilst empowering mobile workforces.
“We are very excited to be working with Samsung Italy, a global leader in mobile communications. NeoMedia recognises mobility as a critical element of the enterprise, and we are committed to building innovative barcode applications for this market,” said Laura Marriott, acting CMO and board member, NeoMedia. “Our collaboration with Samsung is an important step towards boosting the development and adoption of mobile barcode solutions in Italy.”

Great find Vegas, for all you people here complaining about why NEOM doesn't PR everything, take note:
While NeoMedia is technically the service provider, it’s Samsung that will be making the deals and selling NeoMedia technology on to its Italian enterprise partners.
This looks like ANOTHER revenue generating partnership, so THIS is where revenue is coming from...
Even better, thanks Streetz....I'm kinid of tired of receiving rejection letters anyway!
The signatures at the bottom are required from the applicant, the manager (Marriott in this case) and HR....makes me second guess my earlier thoughts of HR@neom.com being just an EEOC applicant pool maintance address accessible by anyone...maybe they actually do have someone representing HR. Otherwise it would only require a signature from the applicant and hiring manager.
The exec team profiles online indicates their job functions, no one on there says anything about hr related functions. If there is a HR specific person then that indicates growth is very much foreseeable, as messing with EEOC and employement regulations is something a company does not want to screw up on.
I guess someone can apply and see who signs the rejection letter, that will tell us for sure if HR actually exist.

But didn't she also assume the role of interm marketing director?
edit: 'acting marketing officer', not interm director
wonder if that's why they are wanting to hire a marketing project manager...to perhaps fill some of responsibilities in her absence? Thoughts?
yeah I know, I could have paid my student loans off if I had the guts to pull the trigger at least once over the past year...greed lessons learned, will not happen again!
don't we all...one of these days maybe it will happen.
don't get your hopes up, the ask was at .40 yesterday for a little while, but transactions were going of way below.
If I had to guess it's probably an address accessible by anyone in the office, the purpose of the address is likely to accurately maintain their applicant pool to adhere to EEOC compliance. I would love for it to be a department, but I don't think that's possible yet.
My post got deleted, so this is in reference to Neom posting a Marketing Prdouct Manager in AT, GA. It was not open last Friday.
And today, it looks as if they filled one of the positions in Germany.
