Yes, that was mentioned in the 10q as a risk. Can't remember if that was this Q or the 10K… probably 10k.
Sigmaniacs- (courtesy of Johnny Kabuki)
They literally said it was unconfirmed rumor. Another typical Motley Fool article, drawing unsubstantiated correlations between two stocks they are currently promoting. Not worried.
That doesn't scare me a bit- They literally even admitted it was based in rumor… and that Renishaw is being promoted by the Fool in general. I personally like that it said GE forks out a lot of money for non destructive testing and that they hope to incorporate their inspection INTO the printers… which is exactly what Sigma obtained an EOS machine to do.
I'm crazy- it's a third of mine, but my first buy was .028 and avg ~.07 at the moment. I've held between 60,000-120,000 at any given time. I'm on my lower end right now, hoping my timing is right and I can move some of what I took out back in before takeoff… Q report isn't til Aug… I think I'm the only person here hoping they don't release something crazy the next two weeks lol. I still have my original core though. Getting close to long term.
It's from 2013
Lol, all these evaluations and no ground broken... You'd think they worked for the government! ;)
Wait- I missed something, they're not doing lovelock? My CC attention was spotty as I was also ordering a pizza lol.
Why all this talk about Google Glass? Was it hinted/ confirmed or is this speculation? I don't fret too much about this stock as my investment was purely speculative (avg 0045). I was here for the last run to .046; if we get anywhere near that I'm happy. More would be great, sure, but I don't see what all the day to day fuss is about here… it's holding in a fairly steady range, if volatile % wise, but I'm not expecting any dramatic moves til this Q report or next.
I think Don was just really nervous at first. He got better in the second part of his talk. I've had awkward interviews like that. Lol. 2nd guy better all around.
DUI with an 18 yr old female in the car; BAC of .15. Mug shot is hilarious.
That's what I asked a week ago and they told me to ask it for the conference call.
I like the way you think! :) (Insert me as Mr. Burns rubbing my hands together here… Yess, smithers, yesss…)
I think the M is for Manufacturing. Which is in line with their EOS agreement. Nice addition!
We are still not sure whether they bought it outright, leased it, or came up with some other agreement with EOS that is mutually beneficial. I'm curious to see the next Q, but even if they did buy it, they do have 4m cash on hand and supposedly are still receiving revenues from Honeywell/GE- those estimates on the PRs were for the whole of 2014, and have not been fully realized yet as far as we know.
Awesome to hear! Fingers crossed!
Oh no! Don't let Morrison chase away one of the few voices of reason on this board!
FWIW-Message from Don… I had messaged Don about getting local investors via preferred access to the mill since we supposedly will be milling others' metals too if all goes well. He responded last night, "Thanks, [name]. Your support and ideas are greatly appreciated. Perhaps you would submit this question when we announce our webinar. Watch for that announcement shortly." I know it's too much to hope for, but maybe they've found someone and want to talk about it. More likely is it's a generic response, but one can dream lol.
Sending prayers, hope she's ok.
I don't understand how it can be that low… It's been low since I started investing in them, just don't get how they can operate with so little cash on hand. Mostly been following ddm's lead with my speculation here- broke all my own rules with this one; (no debt, decent cash on hand, disruptive company meeting market need, etc) … I've already lost the vast majority of what I could potentially lose so just playing the waiting game at this point. Hope they make it… the business plan sounds good, it's just going to be a tough six months seeing how it all plays out. "Onwards."
Sigh… That's what I thought. I will admit I skimmed, but saw no real news regarding revenues, investors, or intentions for preferred shares. The waiting continues.
Somebody translate please… It looks ugly to me but has always looked ugly so I have no frame of reference here for whether this is better or worse … :/ I see some debts have been paid.
Not a clue. I told Sigma's IR person about him before, would be cool if he got a job with them. Though hopefully not a cease and desist lol. Was trying to do the guy a solid.
Oh where, oh where has our 10-Q gone, oh where oh where can it beeee? It seems as though we've been waiting so long, so come on F-L-P-C------- !
Awesome… where are you seeing that? Thanks!
Pwc=Price Waterhouse Coopers; major accounting/ consulting firm, one of the "big four." Deloitte's another… can't remember the other two.
Man this is sporadic. I can't decide which would be better… big flood like pulling a bandaid and let it climb, or this up and down stuff. 28m vs 0? If only that meant they were finally through… :/ (unlikely, but we can dream)
LOL DeZanger got arrested… http://hidden-past.com/PublicRecord/ROBERT-DEZANGER/15152932428310
^ ^ apparently his personal address is indeed public. bahaha.
I'm excited because this makes an unfair buyout even less likely. I saw Greg Morris' speech and this is exactly what Morris Tech was prior to GE involvement- a rapid prototyping company that lasted decades independently. The bonus here for Sigma is that not only is it a new revenue stream, it's also a way to showcase their technology. The thing that makes them superior even to Morris (which btw, started in a garage- didn't know that before our trip to Florence) is that SGLB also has a massive pipeline of other, patented, tech: IPQA, munitions, dental implants, and a connection with Los Alamos that may lead to even more developments. I would be really shocked if SGLB limits themselves just to GE- hence the deal with Honeywell- as if to say, you think you want to lowball us, eh, Morris? You're not getting ahold of us that easily… ;)
Showcasing their full suite on EOS machines (which, if you read my earlier recap on #s, GE has a ton of!) is not only a great marketing tool, but also demonstrates to EOS their necessity and potential. I would love to see this lead to a contract with them, and even other OEMs since Mark Dave said their tech is standalone and can apply to any of them. No fear on patent infringement, either because it's an independent platform.
SGLB seems like they're going to stick to their guns here- I think Mark said it all, GE has no idea "how to value them." Why leave the showcasing to others? If you want it done right, do it yourself! :) Visionary leadership for the win- haha.
Basically they are becoming what Morris was prior to GE buyout, except way more diversified on the pipeline. Morris didn't also have IPQA software, munitions, and the Los Alamos patentable tech connection up their sleeve. Nicely done!
This is both a revenue stream, AND an in-house showcase for their technology… and if they can show EOS what their modifications can do, may even lead to a contract. It's genius.
BIG SGLB news out! No debt, in bed with GE, Honeywell, Boeing, DOD. My favorite company, if that's allowed :) Handful of guys from Los Alamos/MIT. Patents galore. In since .028 last year.
Spot on. November can't come fast enough!
Sounds like a state of the union speech lol. Nicely done.
As long as it's not our 4m cash, lol I think we're good. Sounds like a sound investment to me. :)
I just wish I'd accumulated more :/ I'm about 40k shares away from my ideal #.
I'm serious, the November summit will be like a debutante ball…
We'll have the EOS machine all dressed up, with all the Sigma bells and whistles, and show our results off to the world like this is what you could have.
That doesn't mean we won't have orders before that, in Q3
It's possible GE may place an order, or Honeywell, or whoever, prior to the summit. Would not surprise me, to maintain competitive edge.
I have personally been expecting it to be 'commercialized' around the big additive aerospace conference in November. Bearing in mind that with Sigma, commercialization isn't really one single event- I mean, technically, they've already sold a couple…. I think the orders will trickle in during q3, but assuming it's ready for prime time, November is when they'll do their big Sweet 16 debut…
I could be totally wrong and maybe GE's negotiating a massive order for q3, but I'm aiming for Nov.
But hey going back to the big debut idea (yes I am totally picturing a debutante) this PR is absolutely perfect… Once they get all their bells and whistles installed into this EOS machine- it'll be all dressed up and shown to the world like, hey- this is what you could have.
I think it's brilliant.
Not really sure how that didn't allow for his opinion… I just drew a comparison and said I think we should take it with a grain of salt. I think it's good to have people questioning the company, as well as those still gung ho. The sarcastic ones are pretty funny… though I would be a bit concerned if someone just looking into this took them too seriously. All the same, it's penny land, so worst case is that it's a learning experience for someone…could be doing them a favor. I'm not too happy with my investment atm, but didn't invest very much to begin with so stay pretty neutral on these ups and downs. I'd like to see history repeat itself this fall, but til then just patiently waiting to see how it all pans out. (I use patiently loosely… I would love a bigger cushion this summer, but we don't really need it so I guess it's all good… that's my own fault, nothing to do with the company.) Ain't over til it's over, as they say. Very curious about the 10Q… the hardest part is just not knowing. I like ddm's exchange with Don. Glad to see he's working hard. If they've got as much going as they say, I'm hopeful they'll be able to secure better financing. I wonder if they'd consider cutting a deal with some of these other companies who could potentially use their mill? Steep discounts, free shipping, preferred shares, some sort of stake in operations, etc to get people on board. With all the mining companies in Nevada, there's got to be SOMEone willing to help get a mill going. Idk, just musing.
That's what iHub says they are too. I am certain it's an error being fed from other sites. ihub, yahoo, et al. I hold a 3d printing company that's listed under "miscellaneous." I guess that's kind of accurate. IPQA software, plus munitions and dental implants all stemming from 30 yrs working in metals/materials science, but that hasn't stopped them from getting contracts with GE/Honeywell/Boeing. I would take it with a grain of salt.
Hmm, that's concerning they don't have significant operations. Good I guess that acquisition is their focus, I just hope he's serious.
