I'm excited because this makes an unfair buyout even less likely. I saw Greg Morris' speech and this is exactly what Morris Tech was prior to GE involvement- a rapid prototyping company that lasted decades independently. The bonus here for Sigma is that not only is it a new revenue stream, it's also a way to showcase their technology. The thing that makes them superior even to Morris (which btw, started in a garage- didn't know that before our trip to Florence) is that SGLB also has a massive pipeline of other, patented, tech: IPQA, munitions, dental implants, and a connection with Los Alamos that may lead to even more developments. I would be really shocked if SGLB limits themselves just to GE- hence the deal with Honeywell- as if to say, you think you want to lowball us, eh, Morris? You're not getting ahold of us that easily… ;)

Showcasing their full suite on EOS machines (which, if you read my earlier recap on #s, GE has a ton of!) is not only a great marketing tool, but also demonstrates to EOS their necessity and potential. I would love to see this lead to a contract with them, and even other OEMs since Mark Dave said their tech is standalone and can apply to any of them. No fear on patent infringement, either because it's an independent platform.

SGLB seems like they're going to stick to their guns here- I think Mark said it all, GE has no idea "how to value them." Why leave the showcasing to others? If you want it done right, do it yourself! :) Visionary leadership for the win- haha.
