Yes, I'm amazed at how they have a partnership with McFarlane. I'm not an expert of his, but I sure know what he was able to build up himself.
On that same note, it seems all of these guys, are all of the same ilk, meaning that they're all self starters with a Dream. Combined together, they could do something amazing, or bump heads and fall down. (laughs).
Time will tell I guess. To me, its a psychology thing, once they get the brand out there, then they can really start to do the selling, so sure, it will take time, but their brand seems set. Now the sales reps have been just set up, their store built, their relationships with celebrities, and now off to the Trade Shows, and start selling away.
I'd be interested to find out if I can see their stuff somewhere locally. Much has been written about the silks and the quality etc. I'm not sure there's immediate demand in Cheesehead land though as of yet. Maybe for the hoodies and bandanas, etc.
Good luck all. I'm giving it time, up days, down days, whatever.
NVDA: thoughts?
I'm sure there's many out there like this but...
1. No Long Term Debt
2. Cash:
Total Cash (mrq): 1.30B
Total Cash Per Share (mrq): 2.43
Total Debt (mrq): 0
Total Debt/Equity (mrq): N/A
Current Ratio (mrq): 2.469
Book Value Per Share (mrq): 4.631
3. A leader in their field, although they just released new guidance a day or so ago...
On Tuesday, Nvidia (nasdaq: NVDA - news - people ) guided for a 40.0% to 50.0% sequential decline in fourth-quarter sales, which implies sales guidance in the range of $448.8 million to $538.0 million. On Nov. 6, the company reported third-quarter sales of $897.7 million and guided for a 5.0% decrease in the fourth quarter. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters had been projecting fourth-quarter sales of $805.5 million.
stock consultant site shows support at: 7.44 ± 0.43, type triple+, strength 10, which it just dropped below.
thanks, I'm still learning. but i like no debt and a leader in their field.
Dussault Apparel... True Religion in the Making??? The Celebrity Effect.
from: http://www.dussaultapparel.com/investors/market.html
In 2004, a small blue jean company called True Religion noticed a rise in their $1 share price as their blue jeans began appearing on celebrities like Jessica Simpson, Angelina Jolie and the cast of Desperate Housewives.
By late 2005 True Religion's stock had soared beyond $20, with sales increasing five-fold and the company generating sales of $22 million in a single quarter. Today, True Religion is a $500 million company with annual sales exceeding $139 million.
While True Religion’s impressive growth is a promising indicator of Dussault’s potential success, these sales represent but a fragment of a $220 billion apparel market growing by 7.3% a year.
.....................
One never knows...what may happen. I just love the Todd McFarlane connection with all of this. His company are merchandising fools.
Oh, I forgot to mention, I'm a suffering Cubs fan. I'm used to waiting and getting bad news. (laughs hard). Next year is here though!!!!
Good news is, we're all still here to type and smile. So, I'm gonna smile and know that the market in general looks to be nearing the oversold. It goes up, it goes down, and we buy when it goes down. Thanks for your posts Trendy Peeps.
Welcome fellow Deucehead. Welcome.
Did you know Kiss has a coffeehouse?

Other notes (from his bio at genesimmonsmoneybag.com) Gene speaks a few languages: English, Hungarian, Hebrew, German and is getting better at Japanese every day. At present, he is becoming fascinated by Mandarin Chinese and has every intention of becoming fluent in it.

Let's open up that Chinese Market Baby!!!!
Oh and ummmm, ummmm, let's not forget, he's unmarried to Shannon Tweed.
Dussault / Moneybag (Gene Simmons) Partnership Notes:
50/50 Partnership with Gene Simmons (of Kiss) and his Moneybag line of clothes and accessories.
Gene Simmons co-founded KISS more than 30 years ago.*
KISS continues to be the juggernaut of licensing/merchandising, with over 2,500 licenses. *
Gene Simmons is the star of the reality show title "Family Jewels" on A&E.*
The first and second seasons have been released on DVD. On June 8, 2007, A&E also renewed the series for a 24-episode third season.
The show is the second highest rated show on A&E, only behind Dog the Bounty Hunter.[2] Season 2 premiered on March 11, 2008.[3] Season 3 premiered in June 2008.
A&E has stated that they are filming Season 4.
Gene Simmons featured Dussault on the Family Jewels show during the development of the MoneyBag line, and one would think, with Gene attending the trade show with Jason on the 27th, that much of that footage will be included in the Upcoming Season 4.

Morning Deuce Peeps. Twelve Days of Deucemas counting down starts today (12 days until the 27th and the start of the Trade Show).
I see where this dropped below 1.22, and made a new 52 week low. It kept looking like it was closer and closer to the pinch, but not yet there. Thanks for your hard work in tracking it crable. I'm still learning the system, and would like to start posting some when I'm able. But just wanted to say thanks.
Nice work. The overall market tanked and there were a few that moved up nicely in the WU. Congrats to those who acted quickly. Be prepared, do the DD, get in, get out, call it a day, and go hug your loved ones and if it didn't work out for some, tomorrow is another day (albeit...a stinking freezing cold one for me...ooooppps sorry...took it negative there).
well....don't dig too deeply, I saw an old video last night of Gene Simmons autographing a *lady*'s tongue. Never know what you find when you go searching late at night.
Sooo true. I do laugh at his Moneybag line. Good stuff.
Very true Sidney. ALSO, they partnered up with the guy who was the SIA SNOW SPORTS REP OF THE YEAR IN 2006. So, they're representing well. Seems like everyone they bring in, has major experience (Gene Simmons, Todd McFarlane Peeps, etc.)

..dusts the snow off his jammies...and shivers...brrrr Morning all.
Thanks kdswing, I like hearing 3/4 of the country is now covered in Dussault wear, with the Trade Show coming up, and the next season of Family Jewels coming this Spring or Summer (which means its being filmed now prolly - during the hype, etc.), all sounds good to me.
I just saw a video (http://www.dussaultapparel.com/videos/) of Gene Simmons signing his autograph on a girl's tongue (with a sharpie).
buncha phreaks. She's lucky he has a relatively short name.
Article from the opening of their store in Melrose in late 2007:
link: http://lastheplace.com/2007/11/14/dussault-apparel-motel-creates-unique-shopping-experience-on-melrose/
...Special appearances included the very tattooed and very friendly Kat Von D of LA Ink, chatting with anyone who wanted to meet her. Heavyweight champions, Bas Rutten and Randy Couture were seen mingling with the crowd. Half of the LA Kings showed up, including Rob Blake and Michael Cammalleri, to check out the Dussault Apparel bash. Stephen Coletti made the trip from Laguna Beach to check out the store and drink Speakeasy beer, provided in the VIP room bar.
With Dussault Apparel, Gene Simmons, "Mindfreaks", open bar, hot tubs filled with gorgeous women, and VIP treatment, the store opening proves its’ future is bound to be a success.
Trevor Hoffman, the ex Padre pitcher and new Brewer closer was asked by a reporter once, what he what he thought of his performance in last night's game. Trevor had a horrible outing and the Padres had lost. Trevor responded back, "What happened in last night's game?"
His point being, yesterday was yesterday, win big, or lose bad, and move on.
Trevor is the all time saves leader in MLB history. Good luck tomorrow everyone.
There's one thing that they missed in this one, and that's the SNUGGIE, its the blanket with sleeves. One size fits all, and you get two, not just one, and also a mini book light.
I'm not sure if its just a local thing, but man-o-man, that commercial is on all day long on my stock channels.
Sidney,
Sorry, I'm still learning iHub et all, I should have posted the original link I had about McFarlane and Duss.
(apparently, I cannot PR either, unless I pay for additional service). So far iHub is great. I've just been a lurker for a while as to stay out of peeps way and see how everything works.
Thank you to all for your insights, and good luck.
Klausby,
I saw in another reference, Olivia Newton John also, but I'm glad she's not listed in your list, they have an image to uphold you know. (kidding).
Also, here's the images of "Deuce the Destroyer", etc. I can't seem to find if it was ever put in the Spawn Comic of McFarlane's yet, or if it was just thought up and is waiting for publication.
http://www.spawn.com/news/news3.aspx?id=12969
my first attempt at posting an image, so bear with me, if it doesn't show (its on the page in the link above though).
<img src="http://www.spawn.com/news/images/deuce_destroyer_photo_01_sm.jpg">
Thanks Sidney...
This is from an OLDER 2007 posting, but still it shows the development of the original idea of the company, until now, and his appreciation of McFarlane, etc.

(excerpt) ...Dussault told them he just had to meet his hero, McFarlane, so Prevail arranged an introduction in Phoenix, A connection was made, NowMcFarlane will be doing exclusive graphic designs for Deuce clothing, He has created a new character based on Dussault and his car, Thecharacter is "Deuce the Destroyer" and his car, The Preacher, willappear in Spawn.
McFarlane's right-hand man, Terry Fitzgerald, has come onto Deuce'sboard of directors. He happens to be a big fan. He was wearing aDeuce hoodie and jeans when he walked down the red carpet at the lastGrammy award ceremonies, The connections continue.
McFarlane and Fitzgerald have put Dussault intouch with Kid Rock and Gene Simmons of the heavy metal band KISS.They, too, will soon be wearing Deuce clothes. When we met, Dussault had just returned from a trip to Los Angelesand a meeting with Simmons. "We sat in his home in Beverly Hills fortwo and a half hours, We had this instant connection."
Through it all,Dussault hopes to grow in the U.S. and get involved with a newtelevision channel called No Good TV in which big stars say bad thingson the satellite-only station.
Despite his steep prices, the 33-year-old Dussault can't produce enoughto keep up with demand. His least expensive hoodie retails for around$300. His men's Christmas jeans packaged in a wooden box retail for$279, which he claims is $100 off the regular price. Dussault sees clothes designing as a collaborative process.
...There are more sides to Dussault than first meet the eye, His real dayjob is as an investor, a line of work he got into early on in life when hehelped put together investors for a highly successful diamond mine inthe Northwest Territories. With two kids to support from a firstmarriage and a second marriage in the works to fiance Mashiah Vaugh,he is sticking with his day job until Deuce becomes big enough so hecan fly on his own.
------------------------
(my comments now...two kids and an ex-wife...he's got bills to pay...so he's gonna work hard at it (kidding)).
No, no, no. You're all thinking wrong. You do a split with them, since they're a pair, and you frame one leg and wear the other. Now, THAT's fashion.
Would you rather buy a t-shirt of theirs for $60 (its bamboo though, so Dussault claims they don't wear down as fast as cotton, and they also help the environment as bamboo grows soooo fast)?
Or, would you rather spend $60 on the stock?
A thought about branding from me, who is perhaps the world's worst dresser, only because I'm cheap and clothes don't matter to me.
The thought of, "How the heck is Dussault going to sell their high priced clothes/items in a time like this?" entered my mind a few times. A few years ago, sure, but now?
Then I realized something. Dussault is selling an image, selling a BRAND, selling art, selling a lifestyle. They want the Gene Simmons, the Chris Angel, the Snowboard dude Ryan Rausch (whom they have partnerships with). Once they get their first store open (which they have), once they get partnerships started, once they get their brand set, they can always lower their prices if need be, or come out with a blue collar version, etc. But it would prolly be a lot harder to do the reverse.
I did an ebay lookup, of past items which were listed there to see if the common person was intersted in their items. There were a few hoodies and accessories listed there. I also found their items on discount at Overstock.com. I never heard of them a few days ago, but do like their brand flavor and the fact that they have an IN with TODD MCFARLANE and that merchandising group, which is FANTASTIC.
Anywho, just some thoughts..from a non-trendy clothing dude. Good Luck everyone.
Thank You Reznor. I can see the quotes for BB and OTC's, so it looks like your understanding is correct.
Yes he does, its called Family Jewels and is on AE. I tried to find info on AE's web site to see if there will be a season 4 as Season 3 has been completed. I then went to Wiki, and here's what Wiki states:
ThThe first and second seasons have been released on DVD. A&E renewed the series for a second season featuring 20 episodes, which began on March 25, 2007.

IBIN: volume question.
What are your thoughts regarding a stock like IBIN which sometimes has a volume of 0, or like yesterday 4k, and the days before that 414k,700k,700k????
I agree heartily with CajunRich. I'm a newbie pretty much and have been lurking and watching this board, and enjoy everyone's thoughts and reasonings behind them, and more importantly, good nature as well. (so tired of google's worthless discussion boards).
Oh and the charts too, I forgot about that, I've been learning a lot from them, so thank you.
I was in NOBL, it took a lil jump and I got out, I was thinking of XRM for today.
Thanks TrendyPeeps.
Problem with Level 2 on iHUB.
I signed up for the "ADVFN Small Cap Pro (Monthly)" plan here on iHUB, and I can never see the Bids / Asks. The streamer works great for me though.
When I click on Level 2, and then the Java App appears and a window shows, I enter a symbol, such as GE, and then click Go, I can see, Buy orders (drop down of All) and then a "chain or lock symbol" and then Sell orders (drop down of All). However below, in the area that should so the Bids / Asks, its always empty, no matter the symbol that I enter. I can see the trades at bottom right, and the news below, and the charts at top right, but no Level 2 Quotes.
Any ideas or help is appreciated. Thank you.
