Good point. I think in time the armed forces may be the next market to fit into their plans since there would only be about four different designs, five I guess if you count the Coast Guard. It would be awful hard not to bury a vet in one, the government should pick up the tab too !
I have read that idea on a post last week, don't know if anyone e-mailed the company. You can go to their web-site and I believe under the investors tab they have a link to e-mail them with thoughts and ides. I know, I emailed them on NCAA.
Be nice if they could open another manufacturing plant or sub-contract with another company in the midwest/west to assist in production if concumer demand skyrockets. Reduce shipping costs as well, especially on caskets.
I emailed them and asked them if they carry the new baseball urns from EI. Told them I read about it in April's edition of Readers digest.
Competitors metal urns range from $1,000 - $1,500 too!
Peterush.....I to am in for the long. Probably more for my kids and grandson than for me. Just trying to give them a little something for later on in life. Well, hopefully a lot for later in life.
Like I said I am somewhat new at this but I do value everyones insight, opinions, and comments. I guess you could say it has been an "educational" site for me as well. All you people have given me insight and helped me make better decisions.
I am sure everyone agrees with me, not only do we have a great company in EI, we have a great board because of people like you, as well as many, many, others.
I only own about 1M shares and I am buying another 2K worth over the next several days. After that, who knows ! But I hope everyone realizes this is not a game of who is right or wrong, but a game of everyone working together. What would EI be worth if they didn't work as a team.
Hopefully you and the others will keep up the great work.
This may be a dumb question but could spring break have come into play with not having that many buyers. Volume was down, just thinking potential buyers packed up their families and headed south for the week ? Somewhat new at this but don't be afraid to say that was a stupid A$$ thought.
That makes "cents" to me. But as clownsj has said whatever EI decides to do they have carefully planned everything out way ahead of time. I was just curious about the caskets since there are much larger and expensive as compared to the urns.
Well put, I think it is best if they only do what they can effectively handle. Quality, supply, and customer service should come first before they take on more.
Thanks for the input. I was looking at it from a standpoint of overnight shipping on something the size and weight of a casket could add 2-3+ hundred dollors more onto the overall cost.
I thought I had heard somewhere that you could get a major league casket as well. I am not sure if that is true or not. People have talked about the NFL, NCAA, Soccer, NASCAR, etc.... If you only count MLB and NFL you are talking 62 teams. Yes some of these teams have similar colors which if they decide to do caskets, it would make more sense to me to have different colored cakets in stock with the distributor, and then have the distributor add the personalized team logo, if that is possible (for ex. the Cincinnati Reds and Arizona Cardinals are both red and white, the Cowboys and Lions are blue and Silver, etc....) If it is not possible then when you add in the 5 precious moments designs and the Vatican, each distributor would need to carry nearly 75 different caskets.
If they branch off with other themes, well you do the math.
The humor on this board alone is enough to drive the stock into pennyland !
I like that thought $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Great idea! Can someone answer my question on the last sentence of post 44628 ?
As long as you have a lot of digits in your account you can spell it however you like $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Makes sense, thanks !
Thank you $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Hope someone can answer this question for me, it has been on my mind for the past several days.
Urns are small and be made in mass quantity.
Fairly inexpensive to make.
Purchased prior to death.
Stored with very little space in a warehouse.
Shipped overnight by UPS or Fedex if need be.
A casket on the other hand is a different story it is much bigger and requires a different shipper. How do you get an Oriole casket out to someone in California that passed away.
Does the deceased purchase prior to death and store the casket ?
If so where do the store it.
Does the distributor or funeral home on the west coast stock pile one of every major league team or precious moments design(That would be expensive)?
Do they only sell Reds and Indians caskets in Ohio, Cubs and White Sox in Illinois, etc.... Therefore the supplier only has to purchase a few caskets for stock ?
They can't wait until the person passes away and ship a casket across the nation, it probably wouldn't make it in time for the showing.
Anybody have any ideas or insight as to how these caskets will be distributed once orfered !
I'm not sure with Ameritrade. I talked my boss and his friend into buying some EI. I deal with E-trade and my boss opened an account with them. With E-trade you can wire money from your bank into your account and they say it takes about 4-6 hours to clear. His took 20 minutes to clear after the wire, he bought 2K worth
That's a good idea. I live in Ohio and the Browns and Bengals have been dead for years !
I'm buying regardless of which direction it heads. Should have 1K clear in my account on Tuesday morning and another 1k on Thursday morning.
Sorry to hear about your loss. Been there too!
Back in 1989 my middle child passed away at one week. He was born 4 weeks premature and his lungs were not fully developed to where he could breath on his own. He was on a respirator and he fought for exactly one week to the hour before he passed away.
I remember having to buy a small 24-36" casket to bury him in. Believe me, this is something no parent should ever have to go through.
He is buried in a section of the cemetary called "Kiddy Land".
In the past when I have taken my kids to the cemetary we have brought stuffed animals, ballons, and little toys for him. You look around and other parents have done the same.
So I've walked down that road and I can tell you that if there would of been caskets designed for kids precious moments, etc....), you can bet your sweet A$$ that I would of bought one for him. When something like that happens, the additional cost of something like these speacial caskets and urns doesn't even enter your mind. I can honestly tell you this even if I didn't own one share of stock in EI !
So yes, I agree that a big market for this company is in precious moments or the likes which is geared for children !
I also think NCAA is big if they could ever pull that off. I have e-mailed the company with that thought, wasn't sure if anyone else had.
Hopefully were holding the mega-million ticket with EI !
Sweet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get in before the spaceship launches $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
lasermechanic.........Between Wednesday and Thursday this stock went from .0036 to .0060. According to my calculations that is a 66% increase. I am somewhat new at this, have only been trading since last November, but IMO if the stock was going to go down, I think we would of taken a hit today. I think a lot of people would of taken their money and ran. I also think they are getting afraid to sell because they may get left behind.
Looking at the charts, it appears that we may be due for a correction based on the past weeks gains. However, this stock is unlike any others. This thing is the mother of all stocks IMO. There are untapped markets they are reaching out to and one thing is for certain; people will not quit dying !
Right now news keeps driving this stock upwards. Once actual sales/profit figures come out that will tell the true value of this stock.
Who knows this stock may be way undervalued as we speak! Again this is my opinion and please someone correct me if I'm wrong about what I said. I do not want to mislead anyone.
I've got 2K waiting to clear in my account and I am going to buy more as soon as I can. Would of sent in more but my kid caught me getting in his piggy bank ! I look at it this way
I feel this stock has a lot better chance to go up then it does going down. If I'm wrong, oh well. I'm in it for the long haul.
Again this is just my opinion. You need to go with what you are comfortable with. GLTA
Peterush.......if we all get rich from this stock, I hope you are the first one to do so !
We had a great week, everyone have a great weekend, then we all come back and have a great MONDAY $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I am a single parent with two teenagers and just my income. This keeps up I am going to stay home too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sent the following email to EI
Tony,
Have you guys thought about targeting the major NCAA schools with urns (Football :Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, Nebraska, Alabama, etc.....) and (basketball: Duke, N. Carolina, Kansas, Indiana, etc....)
There are a lot more college fans out there than there are pro fans, and look what attention MLB has drawn. I am sure there are a lot of alumni out there that would want their alma mater on their urn or casket.
I speak for myself and I am sure all the other stockholders feel the same way as I do. You guys are doing an awesome job, and that is an understatement. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK !
I live in Columbus Ohio and I can tell you this state bleeds scarlett and gray. If they could land a deal with the NCAA and market some of the major football schools like OSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas, Alabama, Nebraska, USC, etc... and basketball with, Duke, N. Carolina, Kansas, etc... it literally would be frightening as to where this stock could end up. There are far more loyal fans of college sports than there are of pro sports, and look what a few (8) baseball teams has materialized into.
Are toghest decision as stockholders would be "where do we dock all the yachts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's gettin there. At this rate I'll have to sew so more pockets on $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Make one each way, I'm buying $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I am starting to understand how Bonnie and Clyde felt after they knocked off a bank. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I assume that buying as opposed to renting, they probably received a discounted price for the space now and in the future. Not to mentioned gauranteed space.
Future Conventions are in San Fransisco (Oct), Vegas (Apr 2008), Orlando again (2009), and Vegas back to Vegas in 2010.
According to the skematic, Edgetech has a booth 20' x 30' which appears to be much bigger than most of the companies around them. Even though they are not on the showroom floor, thier space should be sufficient enough where they will be seen. In some areas 4 companies are sharing that size space.

I agree.
But we also must realize that whatever good comes from this convention, may take some time to materialize in terms of sales. So I hope no one gets disappointed if the wheels of fortune don' start spinning immediately following the convention.
They put in six months with Pearlman and they supposedly are in final negotiations with the Russia deal which they have been working on for some time.
When you talk many units with a distributor, you've got thousands of dollars being spent, you may have contracts and attorney's involved. You know how long that can take.
In addition they may eager to sell but the customer may not be that eager to put aside everything they are doing to close the deal immediately. These things take time.
Based on everyone's comments, the new unit appears to be awesome. When you have a great product, an unlimited market, the product should virtually sell itself. It's kinda like buying girl scout cookies, they sell themselves.
Come hell or high water I am in till the end! I would rather loose all my money rather than sell and kick myself in the rear when the stock skyrockets.
Hopefully once these things get out on the market to various industries it will have a snowball effect!
Adamp,
I am waiting for some money to clear into my account so I can buy more shares as well.
I knew about the CTIA Convention several weeks ago when I was surfing the web one night trying to find out any new news. I decided not to post it because I figured the last thing we needed was more news and no sales. They are listed in the convention, I seen it with my own to eyes. Point being, if he told you the truth about this convention than that is an indication that he is on the up and up with everything else he told you as well.
Did they give any indication on the 5000 units that were arriving, are these going to fill back orders or do these units still need sold ?
As far as the PR firm out of New York, I wonder if this is the same firm they retained last year? If so, I wonder what the secrecy is all about.
Adamp, excellent report on your part, thank you for your efforts.
WTRB, glad your back. I was starting to worry !
Bbyroo1, well said. I stand with you and I'm holding my stock too! I'm going with my gut instinct as well !
It's a good company with great leadership and a far superior product in an untapped market.
Do any shareholders know how to send mass alerts so we can inform the rest of the world of this recent development ?
If so, is it also possible for a non-employee to hack into Edgetech's web-site and post some sales and profit data ? If so, please e-mail me detailed instructions! Once in, I can handle the rest myself !
Daytona 500 is tomorrow. Is it to much to ask for someone to through an "Edge" out onto the track during the race ? Once the caution flag comes out, we may be looking at 1-2 minutes worth of free TV advirtisement. Hell, I'll pay to replace your unit ! If you just want the cash, I understand.
How about the commercial with the girl who goes to play with the dolphins (sharks) but she gets hit in the head with the Vontage package. Ever think about hitting her in the head with an Edge ? Wonder how much a commercial like that would cost us ?
Biker week in Daytona in two weeks. How about a commercial with a big burly biker, beard, gold chains, gold tooth, leather jacket and gloves, good lookin girl, and he drives off on the Harley with the Edge sticking out of his pocket and leaves the girl behind. Sweet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
