Every defendant in a case like this will ask for summary judgment, if they didn't their lawyer should be fired. It is standard. The defendants will as for a summary judgment at some point during the case as well, even after a jury verdict - See VRNG case.

Yep, that is correct, I just called WDDD. It is due to the Whitey Bolger trial, same judge. They will not issue a PR as I was told.

Why would you challenge what JJ is posting when he actually works in the legal field and posted the rule? Do you have some sort of insight that he does not? If so please post it otherwise keep it to yourself.

So is it fair to say that while we the regular folk outside the court room are wondering why it is taking HJJ so long to make his decision, the reality being lawyers on both sides are still working some final angles on the case. All this waiting has been in vain as the actual waiting will not commence until GOOG files it's final motion.

In a way, this is good. This means that things are proceeding as planned and the court is working as it is supposed to and there is no conspiracy at work here as some have implied.

I expect this to dribble into July, would be happy if it didn't.

Patent Troll Legislation:

I wouldnt worry about any laws being passed that effect VRNG's ability to file suit againgst any infringer. How would congress be able to contruct a law that prevents any owner of a patent to seek damages from any infringer? That's what the courts are for, if there is no merit to the case it will usually be tossed anyway.

Plus the trial lawyers lobby is one of the most powerful lobby's and they will not let any laws be passed that would potentially infringe on their gravy train.

Lastly, when was the last time Congress passed any law that prevented law suits?

VRNG should have really gone on the offensive and requested oral arguments to have GOOG show the court the work around and how it is implemented etc. I would like to see how fast GOOG's council could back peddel on that claim. That would have been one aggressive poker play IMO.

At any rate I look at this new filing as a non issue to the overall trial. And it would appear that shares are in strong hands waiting for the final outcome. IMO

Interesting how they state they have a work around and do not owe any RR as of May 11th, then at the end they say if a judgement of RR is ordered they will pay quarterly, but not in 14 days blah blah. If they have a work around why would they even want to address this? Wouldnt they just say, this is irrelevant?


The big question is how does Google prove to the courts if they indeed have a work around and it is not infringing on these patents or any other for that matter?

Are you serious? Delisted? They are getting listed on the NAS tomorrow for the first day of trading. They would have to dip below $1 for 10 consecutive trading days to get a delisting letter and then they have about 6-12 months to get it above $1 before they would get the actual delisting. So please dont come here and fill the uninformed with thoughts like this that are unfounded.

Last time an order was signed and not posted until the follwoing day there seemed to be a lot of trading going on as a tell that someone was in the know.

I would tend to agree. If they were just batting some insgnificant terms back and forth then I think I/P would stary on track with the suit.

A perfect cup and handle has formed, we should move up any day now.

I have little doubt this is under accumulation. Look at the last trades of the day 40K+, looks like the MM's are collecting shares all day and psot the sales at the and of the day.

If you like charts, I see a cup and handle that should propell us to about 11+ in the near future, especially with any sort of good news.

I am fully loaded at this point. If I think is going to go parabolic I have some dry powder, but I would probably end up using those shares for trading once it levels out.

I am in for the long haul though. I plan to be here in a year at least. I will re-evaluate next December and sell for tax purposes if necessary.
