Patent Troll Legislation:

I wouldnt worry about any laws being passed that effect VRNG's ability to file suit againgst any infringer. How would congress be able to contruct a law that prevents any owner of a patent to seek damages from any infringer? That's what the courts are for, if there is no merit to the case it will usually be tossed anyway.

Plus the trial lawyers lobby is one of the most powerful lobby's and they will not let any laws be passed that would potentially infringe on their gravy train.

Lastly, when was the last time Congress passed any law that prevented law suits?
