NJ passing legal/decrim bills on Monday.
Judiciary hearing today. Quorum on Monday.
NJ GOT THE VOTES MAN.
Judiciary today. Signed I. The quorum Monday. Boom! She bout to bang.
no, this is fake news.
Margin calls came in on a large portion of holders from the week prior. We will see renewed upward momentum to and through 40 USD next week.
-NJ legal on Monday
-cannabanki g with covid mid march
-Schumer bill coming-out end of March
What? triggered much on a down day?
"Preach" is a term of agreement. As in how canopy has been bending over shareholders for stock compensation.
Also, I can't believe they took down my one word post and left up your misguided attack comment....
quiet today? feeling scared? got that empty stomach feeling?
That's what the big money wants. enjoy it.
The doldrums
news out on NJ make take until Friday or the 23rd. that'll be a pop
Yea... I'd chill on that.
Until the GW pharma lawsuit is settled over the extraction tech. Everyone, CURLF included could be paying CGC for licensing rights to make concentrates. may not need as many stores when they can undercut price and push delivery.
NY gave the OK on delivery this week. Are stores needed?
The new Jersey legalization slogfest is almost over.
I see NJ as a cornerstone of the curaleaf business and a gateway to NYC. They can build up infastructure and move over to NYC when Cuomo comes along. this will be a real fighting ground between CURLF and CGC.
And I know there has been a lot of talk about smaller players. I would be wary. Patent infringement lawsuits, legislated less-competitive landscape, large costs to operate federally, are going to drown out ALOT of "players"
I've been reading. Interesting page.
no posts as of yet.
Getting away from CGC in your last few posts...
A pop and a drop.
Which we will see probably 5 times before legalization.
They had to pay Klein considerably to move over from constellation and take on the massive mess that Bruce left. He left a cushy CFO job with constellation where he had won awards for CFO of the year several times. Klein is a solid player. And is paid like an executive running a 16billion dollar company while taking on massive career and reputational risk.
it did the same back on 1/27. Would have been a shame to sell then.
Unfortunately I think we are a victim of over media exposure at the moment. And that's about it.
I'm a long as well.
But I trade CGC all the time short term. What is the point of doing all this research and chatter if you don't cash in. Holding is pretty easy if you have a good stomach.
Bit oversold at the moment.
This tree is going to be shook a few times on the way up. Entities wanting to take a position will try to deflate it a bit to get in.
I see this happening today.
Several media outlets are saying the cannabis sector is "like gamestop"
While some small players like Tilray are well above reasonable levels. This sentiment is having a negative effect of the industry today.
When schumer comes out with his legislative proposal. this will all be forgotten and we'll pop again. "Early part of this year" ie Q1.
NJ has until 2/18. to settle their issues. and 2/23 if extended again as a final deadline. They are really just splitting hairs on the two bills there.
Cuomo in NY is working on his budget and plan. And we are almost half way through Q1, 2021.
Arizona is doing its thing.
This event is big. Read below.
Green thumb is the first SEC approved security available for sale in the US while also selling cannabis in the US.
-no underwriting
-single purchaser in US market
-not on an exchange
But! Given the blessing of the SEC. For the first time.

yes yes, indeed indeed. let us short. short short short. WHAT COULD GO WRONG IN THE FACE OF US LEGALIZATION?
I saw that pre-pop too. and it looks suspicious.
The fins are not great bob. But my thesis was this is riding the US wave. not so much reality. and I'm cool with that. I'll take that for now...
The carrot on the stick of profits in 2022 and FWD. Maybe that is the driver for this long term trend. can you believe its only one more year away! we've said for a decade. lol
word on the street is that bruce is back. and will be spinning an advertisement sign roadside by the canopy location in new south Brunswick from 10-4pm M,W,F until July.
CANOPY EXPECTED TO BEAT EARNINGS
everywhere I've looked sees them coming in at -.11 to -.04
with a consensus of -.21
its a beat ma'guy
tomorrow this might jump like a rocket after the earnings...
Headed right toward it. you can bet your biscuits bubba.
not really... All of the recent movement was based on the US legislative news. I think this floats CGC through any earning without much of a hit.
You don't back away now when the real payday in the US is so close. If there is a dip on earnings. It will be gobbled up to a new high soon. You're missing a fun wave of accumulation.
Schumer and booker will have draft legislation out in March on the US path to legal.
someone keeps reminding me I still have a day job.... until CGC goes to the moon.
It might be a while before I can jump over and have a concerted convo. But I will follow up. There is alot in those links to sift through.
I dipped my toes in this recently. Good info is not available. The prospectus is even labeled as "assembled without underwriters."
Mainly working through Caliva and Left Coast. With the voice of Jay-Z and "ROC NATION" pushing the Monogram label as the new top brand.
$3.46 MRKT price warrants (MP)
$11.50 Exercise price
5-years until expire
This is just about as shady as it comes. They have changed names and structures multiple times. and the layers of this transaction are mindboggling. I have it as a Roth long hold.

Could be a challenger to Canopy in the US if they pull everything together. California is a force man.
short interest at or below 10%. I can really get on board with that right off the bat. healthy size short.
1. Earnings. Some may hold for earnings. If you're thinking downside. That is your only life preserver right now.
2. Schumer dropping the legislation. will kill'em.
Then re-establish a base of shorts from the new high.
I hope he likes apples.
Oh... there's to much going on right now for that talk.
Earnings are earnings. But the comments from Schumer are eye-brow raising. US fast tracking "social justice" will have huge impacts for the CANNA BIZ as the two issues have been tied together by the powers that be. This is becoming a social justice issue. Not "freedom to the stoners."
It's going to work. Going to move FWD. going to BOOM. Probably a succession of larger booms until actual legalization. And then we will see companies valued properly. and a fall back to earth.
I was just having a conversation where we discussed the probability of a +$.01 earnings report. And what that would do.
Consensus over here is $55-$60 same day. Setting a base table @$50 until legal updates.
All LPs will probably go away eventually. Bought out by larger corps. Moving toward specific concentrates. And paying whoever owns canopy, licensing on every CO2 extracted drop. After the GW pharma lawsuit goes to canopy. As it will. Until 2027.
This pig is getting fat. But no where close to slaughter.
See you in another... 3X?
52 week high.
Oh double.... Don't get me to excited....
I have seen it pick up steam on the message boards. But you need a mod over there to really start pushing a coordinated message for 2-3 weeks prior to gain steam. CGC doesn't have that huge short interest. like 10% of float. Which could create a nice big 20%=40% wave if squeezed.
CANNASTONKS!
its over. give up. US just nailed your coffin closed.
The tide stops for no man
How's that short feeling? hmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
Oh this is going to get wild
drinks
Canopy is not in the US yet... any state.
And still demanding their premium stock price. But cali... That's a tough market. I have CURLF covering that for me. I don't see acreage making headway anytime soon in cali.
Better to setup and run the northeast. Less picky consumers. Easier to twist crooked political figures in the northeast. Create a monopoly in a highly dense population area.
Only biosteel in the US right now. no CBD, THC drinks.
My thesis:
Banking regulation changes = federally chartered banks lending and servicing cannabis = federally permissable. As the money moves across state lines so to will the products. And the MSO model falls aside to full country corps.
Right now it's just an agreed "federal blind eye at the state level". I believe trump even did away with the obama "hands off" policy for the use of federal funds to enforce federal illegality. But then did nothing else to stop the spread of it.
Hold. On. To. Your. Bugs.
The house has put banking regulation in the last two COVID-19 relief bills. And it has then been removed in debates within the senate afterward.
If the house recommends the same COVID-19 Bill as before. i.e. the $1.9T dollar plan. The one that is currently being put forward. The banking changes will be included. And when the Dems push this around the filibuster. We will get canna-banking U.S. wide.
This is coming in the next 2-3 weeks.
As much as the talking heads online/TV say canopy is waiting for "legalization." and will not move FWD with the acreage deals before are just trying to keep the lid on this beast. Klein has been careful on his wording around this. But never once has he said CGC is waiting for legalization. But he did say they would be selling beverages in the U.S. this summer. I think he means at a larger than MSO scale. interstate commerce.
The wording is, "becomes federally permissible." Not federally legalized. I think that the triggering event is much closer than people think.
Constellation cannot afford to bring Canopy under corporate control above a share period average of $65 USD. So I see this all coming together more quickly than others expect.
Wouldn't want to be short or on the sidelines for the next month. Could get pretty wild.
