Ha! Wouldn't you love to see that kind of advice in a magazine?! Probably be one of the few magazines worth reading!
Have a good one!

Well, that was helpful. :)
Edit: It happened about 3 times in a row and then hasn't happened since so probably just a fluke.
Sue, what's our topic tomorrow?
Well, see, you being a bartender, we thought you could offer comments on this. And, Hasher, see that you help out in the bar, too, so would love to hear your thoughts.

Pretty sure we have a new ban:

Uh, should I hold my breath?
Hey, very interesting discussion going on over here - you might want to offer your two cents.

Exactly! Keep an eye out on the BEER board just in case anyone tries to pull this little stunt over there...
Oh, you know they're taking notes! All the bars frequented by Ihub guys are going to have cell phones ringing off the hook with "dilemmas" and "problems"! Hee, hee!
Ooohh, that sounds like fun. Did he sing any old stuff? I used to LOVE that song "Do you think I'm sexy?" and I think I was maybe in 6th grade - HA! Would sing it with my friends over and over and over again - can't imagine we had any clue what it meant.
Also, Maggie May is such a classic!
I liked this one:
“There was one guy who got a call on his cell phone about his dog being injured by a car—it felt like every woman in the bar was trying to help him and comfort him. Now, I’m not recommending guys lie and say their pet was hurt, but the lesson here is don’t be afraid to tell a girl about a dilemma or problem you’re struggling with. Women like to help.”
You KNOW, he's totally suggesting guys have their friends call him on his cell phone (from the restroom) with a "problem" when they're trying to pick a girl up. Ha!
Hope it helps. :)
Btw, have you tried clearing your cookies and re-booting? I was having similar issues earlier in the week and after several sessions of doing that everything cleared up. Don't know if that's what solved it (or if it's in conjunction with what's been going on behind the scenes here) but it's worth a shot.
Edit: There are two refreshes - one for favorites and one for boards. I remember once I turned one off thinking I would no longer "auto refresh" but I think I had to turn both off. Have no idea if this will help but thought I'd throw it out there.
IT IS! Seems like things like that happen all the time - probably because I'm more aware, I know, but still strange. :)
Lately, when I've been replying to a pm, I'll get kicked back to my favorites page. I'm assuming it's when it refreshes. Is this new or did I mess something up with my settings?
Went to the dog park today and there was a bull terrier! Funny how things happen like that!
Edit: I know, I know talking to myself again. Meant to reply to Wzebra.
Looks like you had great seats.
When I was in Chicago, my company had seats 4 rows behind the Bull's bench - this was during Michael Jordan's reign. It was amazing to see the players that close.
Uh, well, HE'S memorable! :)
Ahhh, look at that little smile...
Had this for dinner tonight. It was very good but not a great meal for "dinner" - more like lunch.
GOAT CHEESE AND HERB SOUFFLES
7 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
3/4 cup whole milk
3 large egg yolks
2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) butter
1/2 cup chopped red onion
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1 cup crumbled soft fresh goat cheese (such as Montrachet)
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Large pinch of cayenne pepper
4 large egg whites
Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter six 3/4-cup soufflé dishes. Place 1 tablespoon Parmesan in each dish; rotate dishes to coat with cheese, leaving excess in dishes. Place dishes on baking sheet. Whisk milk and yolks in bowl to blend.
Melt butter in saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion, thyme, and rosemary; sauté 3 minutes. Add flour; whisk 1 minute. Whisk in milk mixture. Whisk soufflé base until thick and bubbling, about 2 minutes. Remove pan from heat. Add 1/2 cup goat cheese, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper; whisk until cheese melts. Beat whites in bowl until stiff but not dry. Fold 1/4 of whites into base in pan. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup goat cheese and 1 tablespoon Parmesan over. Fold in remaining whites in 2 additions. Divide mixture among dishes.
Bake soufflés until puffed and beginning to brown on top, about 20 minutes. Serve immediately.

Didn't you have him as your "signature" once? I'm more of a football gal and didn't even know who he was except for seeing your posts. Very, very cute!
Thanks, Sue - really good idea for a board. Since the topic tonight is Churak, I have a little story that you all might find interesting:
A sexy woman went up to the bar in a quiet rural pub. She gestured alluringly to Churak (the bartender) who approached her immediately. She seductively signaled that he should bring his face closer to hers. As he did, she gently caressed it.
"Are you the manager?" she asked, softly stroking his face with both hands.
"Actually, no," Chu replied.
"Can you get him for me? I need to speak to him," she said, running her hands across his face and into his hair.
"I'm afraid I can't," breathed Chu. "Is there anything I can do?"
"Yes I need for you to give him a message," she continued, running her forefinger across the bartender's lips and slyly popping a couple of her fingers into his mouth and allowing him to suck them gently.
"What should I tell him?" Chu managed to say.
"Tell him," she whispered, "there's no toilet paper, hand soap, or paper towels in the ladies room.
TRUE STORY!!!!
What a great board! I'll get some invites out, too. Gotta run right now - a rare couple of hours alone with the hubby!
I agree, it's much more interesting. There's a dog (part Border Collie, I think, but smaller) that comes to visit our dog regularly and she's medium/dark brown with the black stripes - very unusual and just BEAUTIFUL!
Have a good weekend, DK - hope the weather is going to be nice for you!
I was just told in a pm this is the Target ad dog - can't believe I didn't recognize it! I'm in Target at least once a week and he's splashed all over the place!
I'm on 1 and it's working great for me.
I don't think I've ever even seen one before. Very cute. What's a bull terrier's temperament like? They look like the perfect size for an indoor dog.
That's a really great one! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the link - I'll catch up this "light" reading this weekend. Have a good one!
Amazing praise for this latest publication by Dr. Lanza:

Ok, Walldog, this is how I looked at it. I've been getting articles that mention Offor now for at least six months. EVERY ONE of those articles were talking about people currently in power with a re-hashing of Offor's past politics. Never was there a mention of his being a current player in anything happening in Anambra or anywhere.
The stuff in this editorial has been said 100's of times - there's no new recriminations as far as I can tell. This is suggesting that he's still a player in Nigerian politics and not a "has been" as many, many other articles have stated. That's what I found interesting and, quite frankly, encouraging as an investor here.
Well, I disagree that it was a complete re-hashing of old events. This was not an article about another current politician with Offor as a side note, it was about Offor being currently involved politics. First one I've seen.
And, I still stand by my earlier statement that I'm not here to try and manipulate other posters - which I feel witholding information constitutes. I view this as a place to share information, good or bad, so we can all make smarter investment choices. I think this is common courtesy and supportive of the common goal (I'm assuming) of making money.
From what I've seen, you are correct that there's constant re-hashing of the past. But, this was the first time I've seen anything in print about Offor's current political movements. Not that the editorial had a lot of factual information but it was interesting to see that Offor is still very much involved in the maneuverings according to this journalist.
But as I've said before, they weave such a tangled web over there who knows who is truly aligned? There are layers upon layers upon layers...
I'd be happy with a close above .40 - at least we'd be moving in the right direction.
Niko, no problem, I was just offering my opinion on the stock opening tomorrow. But as I hold shares here, too, I really am hoping that I'm wrong and we'll see a nice bump back up.
I saw this editorial when I went to look at my personalized Google News (where I am alerted to stories containing certain words) to see if the ERHC news made it there. The article was from one hour ago.
I guess I'm not clear why I'm the bad guy? Because I posted it? So, are you suggesting I should've sat on this info hoping for a run tomorrow? Sorry, I don't play that way.
That's the exact kind of "message board" manipulation everyone is always talking about it and it's just not something I participate in. I feel if there's information available publicly and I find it, it can only help others make informed investment decisions.
And, btw, I don't think that's what he was referring to because he was on my case on the prior posting. Bwdik?
I didn't WRITE the article, for goodness sake, I just posted it. What's gotten into you?!?!?!
Ummm, I'm not buying...I have plenty but good luck to you.
Just saw this editorial re: Offor and his current political position.
