OT - Vascepa & my GP...
NETTG: Pending latest lab results (this week), will revisit Vascepa with my GP. That is, if I am invited back to her office.
BL: will work with my clinic doctor when/if I get a sinus/something else requiring a clinic visit. Do not expect my family GP to prescribe Vascepa for me, ever.

OT - Aye LB, I shall try to loose my virginity, prescription that is, as soon as possible.
I know Vascepa, my doctors do not.
Thanks.
cl
OT - Vascepa & a GP...
Thanks NETTG. I do have an optometrist. She is great. However, I do not want to convince one of my doctors, I want them to have the intellectual bio-curoristy to convince me to try Vascepa.
Thanks.

LL... Sounds good. Get Chaz and B and North et al. and maybe we can meet over/after the Christmas holiday. There is a Ruth's in Fairfax not far from Chez Chaz where we can meet.
I still expect a PPS of around $30 USD by COB 2018. Next year, a double to triple. Then 50% to 100% each following year as sales increase. Do not know about Europe and WOW so predictions are fun but factless at this time.
Happy Thanksgiving.

PS: do have a clinic doctor (female 2) that I truly enjoy; however, was trying to educate/give my GP a bit of time to go-to the light. As I have never taken a prescription drug (minus a few mandated by my flight surgeon because of my multiple overseas misadventures) she was reluctant to start my first now. Nonetheless, next cold - off to the clinic GP and Vascepa.
LL... No joy. GP would not prescribe Vascepa for me...
She did not know about Vascepa. I handed her some hard copy info but with 168 Cholesterol, she said no. Agreed to do her DD and re-evaluate. Will email her some slides. As I take zero prescription and/or over-the-counter drugs, she did not see the cardiovascular health angle for me.
Nice Friday dinner meeting for us Northern Virginia longs. Do hope all understood my war stories (warnings) regarding biotech investing. Odd stuff happens at the most inopportune times and we longs suffer, at least temporarily. Bio investing is not for the faint of heart.
Still long and strong.

Will meet with all next time @ Ruth's. After a PPS of $100 USD or BO.
randychub...
I did too; added shares that is.
Truly looking forward to pending announcement.
Will not sell immediately. Normally do and have been too quick too often lately. Have a large position (for me) in AMRN which has been quite interesting of late. A bit too soap opera-ish for me but will be a huge winner nonetheless.

Aye. Twice for me.
Simply put, he is an ass of the first degree. Many consider him a thief as well.

Me: Strongly concur with DD. JL has written the same many times on this board if one can understand the written (English/American) word.

Was just thinking about the same. Great minds; et al.
Regardless of where we meet, I will be flying solo.
No alcohol for me; however, if really amazing info presented, then perhaps a celebratory glass of champagne will be mandated. It would only be civil...
cl
lb: I do not care where we meet.
U pick a place. Maybe either Ruth Chris in Fair Lakes or Morton's in Reston, VA.
Thanks for setting this soiree up for us. Look forward to seeing all.
And JL in his red vest; u know he will get on the big screen somehow. I do hope so. I feel a little kinship to him as we Army guys have to stick together.
Bonn Chance @ the MGM.
cl.
lb: Me. I do...
I would suggest the MGM but some might have a problem with visiting a casino; though I have found playing @ the casino and playing the stock market, well u know the rest.
Maybe somewhere further west, might I suggest Chantilly, VA. U-Hazy National Space Museum; Senor Frogs...

North... thank you for a response.
Still have not taken a position in SGMO yet but congrats on your 110% return to date. Look forward to your analysis.
As for IBM, they over paid for RH. IBM's CEO is interesting. Not my cup of tea for CEO of the year. No position in IBM or RH.
MGM: will be there for sure on 30 November. Cannot pass up a chance to win that Range Rover. And, play a little Double Double Bonus.

cl
SGMO: North and/or other opinions most welcomed too...
Is Sangamo Therapeutics a buy today? Too early? In 2019 or 2020?
For some reason, I have the same investment/early stage feel about SGMO that I had with AMRN. No, I do not expect the same massive returns but a multiple nonetheless.
Sangamo Therapeutics (NASDAQ: SGMO) so... are the Wall Street analysts correct; "bullish about Sangamo's prospects. The consensus one-year price target reflects an 88% premium over the current share price."
TIA.

Oh, was in the MGM @ National Harbor (MD) on Friday. Always stand at the open bar playing the poker machine on far left entering from non-hotel side. Orange crocks...

Mine is both older and bigger than yours. :)
And, no, I am not an AMRN millionaire. At least not yet. But in 6 months...

Seems to too good to be true after all these years.
What a great birthday present for this old dog-face.
Cannot wait to see my GP next month to start my prescription of V.
Thanks JL.
I might have flown U about; but I only remember flight surgeons.

Bios are always risky investments; however, regarding ADXS, added a bit @ 52 week low of $0.77.
Not far to fall from $0.77 with a reversal possible with a cash deal/substantiated news.
cl.
Thanks for the response.
Sorry, thought I read you still held a position in ADXS.
cl
ADXS: Dew - just a yes or no answer will do...
I, like you, have a smallish position in ADXS.
Would you add at today's price if you did not already have a full position?
Thanks in advance.
cl
AMRN...
Thank you North.
It has been so long, I have forgotten from whom I got the original idea to invest in AMRN but I do feel obligated to thank someone today. So, thank you.
After my personal faults of both PPHM & CTIC, Dew wisely had both of these listed as avoid, this success of AMRN is good for my investing psyche and not to forget the millions who require this drug.
However, I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to thank Dew once again for his advice & research that he graciously posts on this board year after year. Yes, I would pay to be a subscriber to any DD hosted bio-board.
cl
OT: Sorry, misinterpreted your post/intentions. This is my favorite board as it is biotech focused, not political nor personal.
cl
OT: alphahelix1: oh really...
And exactly how does electing a few dems to the House assist us bio-investors?
Bio-Names please. After your post, I feel the immediate need to invest both early and heavily before November.
cl.
FMI: Kris... I too remember.
Back then, had to sell some winners because of (I don't remember exactly but probably either the next "can't miss" bio or a bit of margin to cover. Permanently fixed my margin issue but not my lack of skill in profit taking. Can't go broke taking profit but appropriate sale price seems to elude me. That said, many hedge fund/trust managers also admit to selling prematurely.
Unfortunately, sold ENTA 2 soon 2. Profit taking all the way... ho, ho, ho,...
Best to you.
cl
TPIV...
Thank you biocqr.
We are on the same page regarding Marker/merger.
Now, is TPIV worthy of becoming a long term hold; the million dollar bio-question for the ages.
Thanks again.
cl
Thank you for your response biocqr.
Merger and T-cells just might be it. Then again, as our friend says, market efficiency - not possible.
Regarding TPIV, I am long and will stay long.
Thanks again.
cl
TPIV...
Does anyone have an opinion on TPIV's strong move up?
I am at a loss, not a complete loss mind you, but a loss nonetheless.
Thank you in advance.
cl
ADXS: biotech2...
I have averaged down one (1) time so far.
Next week, next month,... will decide then.
cl.
KR:
Absolutely.
Think this is more attune to gambling then investing.
Warrants, management, FDA,...
Nonetheless, deals are good for the soul.
cl.
Yes, but what?
PTN has been very quiet. So, that means...
Wish Dew followed PTN. At least he would have a reasoned idea.
cl.
Disclaimer upfront: I do not know any new information; however, with that said, I do think whomever buys today will profit.
I am long.
cl.
Finally...
cl
Slow day @ work eh?
BLUF: if one were to buy shares today, one would conceivably be more affluent in the very near future.
cl
Kind of you to ask...
Buyout is plausible; however, most likely an infusion of cash; eg. via partnership, private equity...
Why no CL, what is your sagacious opinion and/or speculation?
Anybody know why Pre-Market is strong today?
Thanks in advance.
cl
CNAT: Dew...
Thank you for your assessment on CNAT back on 5 Jan 2015.
Though narrowly in the green today, my shares of CNAT should be an stipendiary from this point in time forward.
Thanks again.
cl
Staccani... thank you for your continual updates. Good reads... Thank you. cl
Wow! Last posted on 20 Sep...
Cannot believe my 20 Sep post was just 49 posts ago; this is an extraordinarily tranquil board.
Congrats to all longs. For me, added after the 20 Sep TBRA 500% buyout. Figured CNAT was a good hold and still think it is a strong buy and hold.
cl
1. No, no they don't have nearly enough cash; see latest release.
2. No, price-per-share in not overpriced.
3. No, partnerships and/or new ownership is without doubt required & planned; see #1 above.
r.
cl
That is how I interpret it too. Can't pay bills past 31 Dec 2016 so either more unfavorable dilution or a partner/new owner.
Seems there is no desire to go-it-alone. Now, how it unfolds, that is the mystery. Think the unfolding could be very proftibale for all shareholders involved.
cl
Open question: and the news is...?
TIA.
