All great questions. I'm curious to see what happens this month. It's not looking great so far.
I still don't think it'll be a company saver if the Tesla goes well. In reality, how many buyers are going to spend 200k on a car?
With current debts, he'd have to sell more Tesla's than Tesla sells.
I'm not sure about current customers service, but Saleen is known for terrible customer service and taking forever to get anything done, often times only moving after being sued or threatened with suit.
Down 4% so far today, wasn't Saleen in dire need of funds to operate past 9/30? Anyone know if any clueless people invested large amount of money for the Saleen family to spend?
Wikipedia is your source? Very reliable.....Is Saleen currently a certified manufacturer.
Being interviewed by those who work for you on a car you own is not really a review.
A "lame" Tesla? Saleen reported times are slower than the lame Tesla.
I did say investment, I did buy in a long time ago and I've lost a lot.
If you bought more stock this morning, you're already losing money. Great investment strategy.
Saleen is on a pretty impressive decline since it public.
.7 won't last, it'll hit zero shortly.
A boiler plate? They're 12 million in debt, can't pay payroll taxes, or other debts. If they're raising so much money why can't they pay bills?
Right, it's about making money. But with the company set to close on September 30th because they're broke is not a smart investment, in my opinion.
a 282 mph Mustang, pretty quick car
They're smart to drive up as much as possible then dump the stock.
The stock and buyer may have scared off by all the publicity. They say any publicity is good publicity. But not in this case, 12 mil debt, lawsuits and more debt, owing everyone money and then placing all your eggs in one basket, a basket that's $200,000.00, a basket that is more than double what the original manufacturer sells it for. A manufacturer who is internationally trusted.
His GT wasn't the original, to clear that up. He did the Troy plant because Ford threatened to drop their support.
His Ford GT is 10 years past already, we all know what saleen has become in the past 10 years and how much more advanced cars are now, not taking away that the Ford GT is a fantastic car.
I didn't examine the entire list of "saleen dealerships", but I do know that Galpin does not deal with steve.
Steve actually does not like Galpin as the designed the lastest Ford GT which Steve thought should have been his.
Timber!
activity is 20k volume at .8
Jesus Christ, how is this not saying that Saleen is in direct partnership with Tesla?
Where is there any CONFUSION!!!!
Show me where I said that you claimed Saleen is using Barrett Jackson to sell cars.
Nothing was twisted but your view of my response.
Great Reviews - Well Not Really

Again, It wasn't meant that they've only sold 2 cars, it was meant in the sense that they don't sell a lot of cars at Barrett Jackson.
I agree with the the overpriced bidding and emotional bidding. I don't go to all the auctions, maybe only a couple a year.
Watching the auction on tv is more fun and a lot less hectic.
WOW, the sale of 2 cars was not meant in the sense of only selling 2 cars.
But hey, they sold 2 cars at Barrett Jackson, impressive.
The 2008 Mustang sold for that amount with the proceeds going to CANCER research, not because it's a saleen. In 2008, Steve didn't even own Saleen did he?
Considering I know Craig and attend the auction, yes I am aware that the auction has sold a saleen or two.
Most Barrett Jackson cars sell for more than 40k though.
A bad businessman - Where does that say Steve Saleen said he's in a partnership with Tesla?
We all know he's not, Tesla made that clear.
Buying from trusted and proven manufacturers vs. buying from Steve Saleen and his broke ass company are complete different.
I spoke with Tesla as have others, who have ALL stated at Tesla have no association.
Does Nikola Tesla have to give a statement for you to believe it?
Actually, several high rollers are permitted to test drives if they are serious about buying.
We do know for a FACT that Tesla has absolutely no association with Steve or Saleen Autmotive.
I agree 100%, terrible decision to let rich people test drive the car. If he did and the car was somewhat decent, he probably could have sold a few.
I agree with WJ2005, but nonetheless it's a sketchy situation. The warning light is a red flag as is the price.
I think Steve should have corrected the interviewer when he said that Steve is working with Tesla, which we know is not the truth.
Did someone really say Steve couldn't get a model s ? You'd think he could expense it in with the 4 million in admin expenses.
Who cares when the Saleen Tesla is nearly $250,000!!!!
Why would a cup holder not cost an additonal 100k?
You take your "company saving" car to Pebble Beach, and no one gets to drive/ride in it?
As I've said, this just doesn't add up.
Tesla is also 8 years on the battery, a warranty that will be voided for sure.
A complete waste of 200k
200k on a saleen electric car is possibly the wrost idea since investing in Saleen stock
The report clearly states that Saleen will find it difficult to continue past 9/30 if they don't receive a substantial investment/funding.
How can they develop 5 different cars with 27k? It's impossible
So you think the 4 million in admin fees is acceptable because there are shows to go to?
4 million dollars on admin expenses!!!!
Did I say Steve said that there was a relationship between Tesla and Saleen? I absolutely did not, not once have I ever said that Steve Saleen said that they had a relationship with Tesla.
Get your facts right before trying to call someone out.
Oh by the way, it's going to flop or flourish.
It's nothing more than a marketing scheme to get investors money to fund a lifestyle.
Even if saleen didn't know the cars were lemons, they have a duty to ensure that the car they're selling is of sound quality and structure.
So in reality, they either didn't check/care or simply gave the "Ok" to sell cars that were complete garbage.
